Service, food, and atmosphere were excellent! Great place for an Italian style dinner and many menu items to choose from. I enjoyed the margarita pizza as well as the fried ravioli and loved both dishes.
I’d heard such great things about Labriola, so I had to stop in and check it out myself—and I can honestly say everything we had was amazing! The kids ate everything on their plates, so you know it was a hit 😊. Our waitress, Morgan, recommended the garlic knots, and she was spot on. The food, ambiance, and service were all incredible.
We hosted our engagement party at Labriola a few weeks ago. We had about 100 people and we were given nothing but wonderful feedback. It was on the outside promenade, in late October, and was absolutely perfect for what we wanted. When we walked in, we know it was "The Place". I was worried that it would be too cold, with it originally being an outdoor area, but it was not. The walls and heaters put up made the room warm and comfortable. The room was beautiful, with a fun and cool vibe. The food was amazing, the ambiance was perfect, and I can't say enough about the staff. We worked with Alexa to plan the whole party and she was beyond helpful - Everyone was! They even threw in a few little fun touches at the end. Thank you, Labriola for making our special day even more special. We can't wait to host another event there in the future.
I've been to this location a few times. Today I happened to go during happy hour. I ordered crispy calamari and filet medallions, both were delicious. The calamari were tasty and tender with a rather "crispy" batter that did not flake or fall off at every bite, the portion was just right. The medallions were cooked to perfection, and juicy, accompanied by the rich and flavorable, textured mashed potatoes. My drink was a walnut old fashioned, which was spot on. My bartender Serrieh was a delight, as always. Adding a review..... Had a smashed burger and it was an 8/10. I would have preferred the onions a bit more cooked, and bottom of my bun was very thin so it crumbled easily, however meat was cooked to perfection, very tasty, pickles were good (although I prefer them a bit thinner), fries were good (peel on are my favorite) if you like them soft, I prefer crispy. Cheese was also very good. My favorite part was the flavor of the meat so I definitely recommend giving it a try.
Had an outstanding dinner at Labriola in Oak Brook and highly recommend it for anyone craving Italian cuisine in a stylish yet casual setting. The inviting atmosphere was perfect for a memorable meal. Gustavo, our server, was exceptional, he offered helpful wine suggestions that paired beautifully with our dishes and made excellent recommendations for appetizers and entrees. Gustavo’s attention to detail made the evening special, and his knowledge of both the menu and wine list truly elevated our dining experience. The Margherita pizza was a standout, with its perfectly crisp crust, flavorful sauce, and fresh mozzarella. The starters, like the tender meatballs and expertly fried appetizers, paired perfectly with Gustavo’s suggestions. Service throughout the evening was attentive and seamless. Gustavo checked in at just the right times, offered personalized recommendations, and ensured our orders were perfect. His warmth and professionalism made our evening memorable. Labriola is an excellent choice for Italian food lovers. The high-quality food, welcoming ambiance, and Gustavo’s fantastic service make it a must-try in Oak Brook. Will definitely return to try more of their delicious pizzas, creative starters, and, of course, more of Gustavo’s spot-on recommendations!
Labriola is definitely a family favorite in our house! We absolutely love their menu and frequent often so it wasn’t a hard decision to have our daughters sweet 16 birthday party with all of her friends on the veranda. We worked with Brittany to discuss the details. She went above and beyond to create the most special day for our daughter. The food and service were amazing! The tables were set with such care and attention to detail. Our server, Mack, was so attentive. We felt well taken care of. Only about half of my daughter’s friends had been to Labriola before and ALL of them expressed wanting to go back with their own families. I would highly recommend Labriola for your next event! Be sure to ask for Brittany! She’s top notch!
Our first time here celebrating my husbands birthday 🥳 great food friendly service Vanessa our waitress and the chef Marko went above and beyond to satisfy us tonight great job be back soon 😊
1st time trying this restaurant and I loved it. Great ambiance, mood lighting and great pizza. I ordered the calamari and margherita pizza. Especially love the private dining rooms for extra space and privacy. Everything was served hot and fresh. Prickly pear margaritas were delightful. I will be back. Shout out to the bar staff and Host/Hostess Ivan & Debbie this evening. So super friendly.
One of my favorite go to pizza spots! We usually have the Danny special but this time was craving a deep dish pepperoni pizza it was so good 10/10. We also ordered the Salmon with a side of mash potatoes flavors were really good. And of course I had to get some French fries on the side cause they are one of my favorites. The service was great the atmosphere had holiday cheer very festive for Christmas. This place never disappoints Oh and also grabbed a donut and cookie to go 🤤
We came in close to closing. Autumn was working her butt off getting ready for the end of the night, but she greated us with a genuine smile! She’s a rockstar. Great food and a great Northwest Chicago suburb Italian food find. Alfredo was great and the pizza was making a play for a top tier pizza in town. Awesome place!
Morgan was so cool! Thank you for the amazing service. She’s so personable, my friend and I had a great dining experience.
We had a fantastic, authentically Italian lunch at Labriola with great service and delicious food. Our server and the entire staff were incredibly attentive, regularly stopping by to check on us and keeping our water, coffee, and drinks refilled without us ever having to ask. The only slight letdown was the portion size of the calamari given the price point, but everything else was hearty and generously portioned. The classic thin-crust pizza was a standout! We ordered a plain cheese pizza after hearing that Dave Portnoy reviewed this spot, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The flavor was unique, with a slight flop and a crispy undercarriage—I’d match Barstool’s score of 7.5, maybe even a bit higher. This location is conveniently set in a mall on Butterfield Road with plenty of parking, and they even have a dedicated carry-out window for easy pickup. Final tip—sign up for rewards through InKind! We got $25 off our order through a promotion, so it’s definitely worth checking out. Highly recommend Labriola for an excellent meal with top-tier service!
Came here to celebrate my husbands birthday. We've been here before. They did update their menu. Everything was very tasty. Our server was very attentive. Food and appetizers were good. Drinks didn't disappoint. We'll definitely be back.
My husband and I have been coming here since it was Pizza Barra. The food and staff are always amazing! We recently had our baby shower here and every bit of the process and the shower were beyond exceptional. Working with the events coordinator, Taylor, was a breeze - she was so helpful during the whole planning process. The day of the event went so smoothly, the staff were AMAZING and the food was SO DELICIOUS! Definitely recommend dining in or hosting an event here.
My friend and I loved our food. We came in for a low key brunch and were very happy we did. The place is huge and can accommodate parties of any size. We got a table on the patio - thanks to nicer weather and it was great. I ordered the brussel sprouts and my friend ordered one of their pastas. Both tasted great and they accommodated our diet restrictions. The tiramisu and the chocolate cake were both delicious! The service was outstanding. Our waitress was attentive and diligent. Great experience, overall!
Such an amazing casual intimate restaurant! The hostesses were so sweet at recognizing my fiancé's medical alert service dog, and how she is a true ADA medical alert dog for his seizures. They were so kind to us! The waitress was super sweet! The food was absolutely amazing! We ordered the Garlic knots as an appetizer. I had the eggplant permasean with spaghetti it was amazing! He had the Gnocci and loved it! The spicey margarita was made amazing ! Definitely a great experience. We reserved a spot a head of time, the waitresses and bus guys were fast and everyone was so polite and friendly! Thank you for making date night great!
Outstanding dinner experience! Deborah the hostess seated us in patio area per our request but made sure we were comfortable with the temperature. Our server Edwin was very attentive and friendly! The food was delicious and excellent value! We’re visiting from California and highly recommend this restaurant!
Been here multiple times. Most of the appetizers are excellent. Although a few are a bit on the salty side. I recommend the zucchini fritti. The artisan neapolitan pizza is great. Crust is crunchy on outside soft on inside. I recommend the prosciutto arugula pizza. The deep dish pizza is also amazing. Way better than Giordano's. Pastas are on the salty side.
Loved this place. Great food, service and hospitality and a great value. Doreen, our server and Deb the hostess were so sweet. Get the deep dish pizza, and thank me later.
So this review is mostly about the waiter and manager. I went with my toddler daughter yesterday and ordered two pizzas (one deep dish, one neopolitan). The kitchen was probably short staffed because it took forever but the waitress (who also looked overwhelmed) noticed that I had a hungry toddler and it was past her bedtime - she straight up kept trying to help however she could. She even cut up fruit for my kiddo. The manager noticed as well and he ended up discounting our meal because of the long wait. I give a lot of credit to the waitress and manager here because I have been alone to other restaurants with my daughter and often we’re overlooked or I need to be a lot more vocal about getting her food on time, etc. The Labriola waitress went above and beyond to help us. The manager did as well. While the food wait was very long and it was an inconvenience, these two stepped in and helped the whole experience. I’ve been to Labriola quite a few times and this was the first time that I felt a very warm experience from the waiter and managerial staff. Kudos to them! Food, as always, was great :)
Attended a baby shower there. We sat on the balcony/ patio. The view was beautiful and everything we ate was delicious. I had an apple martini and they were not stingy with the pour. I would definitely recommend going for lunch/dinner or having a party there.
We had Morgan as our server & she was great!! I haven’t had that good of a server in so long! So sweet & so attentive! & food was amazing! Definitely coming back & requesting Morgan!! Give her a raise!
Wonderful atmosphere!!! Our family loves any excuse to go to Labriola for dinner. The girls in our family so enjoyed my granddaughter-in-law's beautiful baby shower there last winter. Summer is heavenly there, too! We especially love the patio any time of year.
Stopped in for a happy hour treat after meaning to visit for a long time. Enjoyed every bite!! Great value for the quality of food and wine. Service by Erin at the bar was spectacular. Cannot wait to come back!!
We showed up on Jazz night! What a fun surprise. Our server was Ana, and she was lovely and accommodating. She made great recommendations on food and cocktails and was perfectly attentive. Pistachio crusted whitefish, lasagna bolognese, And fettuccini Alfredo were all fantastic. We got a surprise order of arancini, which was delicious! We also got gelato, which did not disappoint. We will definitely be back!
Such a great stop! The restaurant has plenty of seating and a beautiful covered outdoor patio, so you can even enjoy it during the winter months. While the overall service was good, our server Joseph was truly fantastic. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, and we ended up ordering almost everything he recommended. Every single dish was absolutely delicious. You really can't go wrong with any of his suggestions -- he genuinely loves bringing people together through food, and it shows. So impressed. Overall, this is a wonderful place to enjoy a classic deep-dish pizza or explore some of their more sophisticated menu items. A fantastic experience all around!
We have had a memorial brunch here for the past several years and the service and food has always been great. But yesterday was even more outstanding. Joseph and Juan were not only exceptional in their services, but wonderful with their empathy and all-around sincerity. Is it possible to request them in the future? They were awesome!
I had received a gift card for Labriola and finally had an opportunity to use it, New Years week. After a morning of shopping at Oak Brook mall, my daughters and I stopped in for lunch. Unlike restaurants closer to the mall, a table was available right away, We were greeted by a gentleman, who asked us if we had dined with them in the past. This was our first dining experience at Labriola. As we looked over the menu, another gentleman brought us a few delicious arancini to try. They were a tasty way to start our meal. For lunch, I ordered the Caesar salad and soup. They were delicious and the perfect lunch size portions. To finish off the meal we enjoyed the strawberry sorbet. The staff was attentive, professional and hospitable. Thank you to Katrina, a longtime Labriola staff member, for introducing us to this location. I hope to bring my co-workers for lunch soon. We will definitely be returning.
We had a great food and service (our server was Mike) and he was amazing. Happy hour menu is wonderful and we ordered from both. This is one of the best places in the western suburbs in my opinion. It’s a combination of the former La Barra and café Labriola with a great menu, great value, great food, and many choices. Looking forward to our next visit here.
Had a great time here, food was amazing and fresh. Ana was a great server, she gave great suggestions and was really funny. She made us feel very welcomed. The manager was very accommodating as well. Hospitality was great and the food was even better. Definitely won’t be my last time coming here.
I asked for the discontinued goat cheese appetizer and the chef Luis made it himself for us. It was the best I have ever had! I so appreciate the extra attention .Thank you. The staff are very attentive and made our meal memorable. I will be letting other people know!!
Had a wonderful & memorable dinner at Labriola Oak Brook. Our server Morgan truly went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time and I'm forever grateful for her efforts. Thanks for a great dining experience Morgan & Labriola!
Went for a holiday team lunch at Labriola. All sandwiches and grilled paninis were delicious. Salmon entree is real good too. I ordered Bolognese pasta which honestly wasn't that great as I had at other places. Overall it was great, service was awesome and desserts we're good too.
First time at LaBarra. Went with my cousins after going to see the Frida Khalo exhibit. We had all shared plates and drinks. The food was really good and the service by Ivan our server was excellent. It's a bit of a drive from the City but definitely will come back.
Stopped in for lunch with a friend. The restaurant was not crowded. They have seats by the bar with big screens. They also have tables indoors and outdoors (but the doors were open). They have a large menu with lots of options. We tried the chicken parmesan and the tomato cream gnocchi. Both were good. We also tried the fresh cut fries and the deep dish pizza. Both were delish. The pizza could definitely use more sauce. If I were to stop in again, I would try the thin crust. Service was good. Lots of managers walk around and check on tables. I'm not sure if they have dessert. We weren't offered any. Our check was brought to us when we asked for to go containers.
Came here for some great tasty Italian food and they don’t disappoint! Everything was very tasty! Our server was very attentive!! We ordered drinks, appetizers, main course and dessert We love the salad, grilled calamari, pizza and their pasta! They offer a great selection of wines, beer and mix drinks Over at the bar area, hey have huge TV for sport fans! They have space to accommodate just about any special event, rather it’s a private party of a small gathering! Also has deck and patio for you to enjoy in the summer We come back once a month lol
We had our wedding at Labriola in October 2024. Overall, it was completely beautiful and everything we dreamed of, and we would absolutely do it again if we had the option. The patio was the perfect space to showcase our love and have all of our friends and family there for an intimate dinner party wedding. The good: The food was phenomenal. We are still getting compliments on the food two months later and I have had people tell us they wish they were at our wedding because they heard the food was so good. and the space was absolutely beautiful. Our head bartender Julie was the perfect bartender. She was so knowledgeable and attentive. All of our guests absolutely loved her and all of the bar staff! The weather was absolutely amazing so we were able to have the patio walls open still for late October. Everyone had so much fun and went home with very full bellies and warm hearts! The not so good: Leading up to our wedding, there was a turnover in events directors at the beginning Amy the new director immediately missed our first meeting, but I was understanding as she was new and it takes some time to get things sorted, but this was never the case as all the way leading up to the wedding, she missed other meetings with us. her communication was completely awful. There were multiple times that I reached out to her with questions and she wouldn’t send a response and I would have to follow up at a minimum of two times for answers which most of the time I never got answers to those questions. To this day there are still questions that I have not gotten answers to. She was sending me space options all the way up until the day prior to the wedding when I had tried to sort these things out with her for weeks and months prior. I sent her our menu a full month prior to the event in order for them to have everything set in stone when it came to dinner time at the wedding my husband and I noticed that there were only thin crust pizzas and we requested deep dish pizzas. After my husband finally tracked Aimee down in the restaurant she said to us “I knew about the deep dish pizzas, but they weren’t on the kitchen ticket, but that’s not my fault“ But that is her fault since she was the one who set up our menu for our wedding. After this we were told we would need to wait 40 minutes for the deep dish pizzas to come out, which was frustrating because we paid an additional fee for each guest for those deep dish pizzas as well as having to tell all of those guests that they now needed to not fill up on the food that they already had because there would be more coming. When those deep dish pizzas finally came out they all came out with the incorrect toppings they were supposed to be vegetarian, deep dish, pizzas, and everyone came out with meat. When the desert came out the cannolis were sour, wet, and soggy, but the donuts were huge hit! When we asked her to turn off the heaters on the patio because it was a beautiful evening she actually didn’t know how to turn them off and had to ask the bar staff (shout out Julie again) . When she turned on the firepit, she almost lit my aunt on fire. Overall though it was a wonderful, beautiful, incredible day, and I got to marry the love of my life, so all of the little things really don’t matter in the grand scheme of it. We can not wait to come back to dine with Labriola again!
This place has some of the tastiest Italian food and plenty of semiprivate space to accommodate just about any size private party birthday party, special event. I really loved the Richie's Lemon Chicken with potatoes and Eggplant Parmesan Pasta. The Grilled Calamari is amazing, too bad you get mostly salad instead of Grilled Calamari. I have to go back and try their pizza, it looked good. The staff provided us with good service, but could have been better. On several occasions, we had to ask for more water, silver ware, and for bread. They seemed to have a very good selection of wines, mixed drinks and beer. I enjoyed the bar area it's good for watching sports. I can't wait to come back and enjoy the outdoor patio, or deck.
Labriola kept catching my eye every time I drove by, so figured I’d give it a try. We were confused upon entering, but finally realized that we needed to place our order at the counter prior to taking a seat. Everyone in our party of 3 was impressed overall. I had the Prosciutto Wrapped Chicken Panini with onion rings. The sandwich portion was huge and onion rings so delicious…the best I’ve ever had. I also tried a slice of the sausage pan pizza. It was yummy as well! The other guests both had turkey burgers and enjoyed them. I’d definitely like to return to try some of the other items on the menu.
This is a great casual dining spot. With a diverse menu offering something for everyone, this spot is perfect for a quick bite or a leisurely meal. Very quick service and the incredible value you get for your money. From hearty salads to savory sandwiches and satisfying entrees, they deliver on flavor and portion size. Great for dining solo or with a group. Nice relaxed dining experience without compromising on quality or quantity. Fast service, ample portions, and a variety of delicious options make it a solid choice for casual dining.
Kids friendly eating place with lots of options to choose from. We tried their margarita pizza which was really good. Panni sandwich is worth the money. Will be trying more in their menu soon. Very good quantity.frozen chocolate drink was not good it didnt tasted as i expected.
EDIT Flavor seemed to have changed for the better. Tried the spaghetti with meatball, linguine with clams, gnocchi, lemon chicken and chicken Parmesan. Cant stop coming back here now. Pizza with cupped pepperoni and Italian sausage is excellent. The only thing that would get this place 5 stars is their service. We have to ask for silverware, bread, had to get my own refill at the bar.. They just don't seem to care that we are there. The experience is often with awesome service but that is truly lacking here.
We ate here on Christmas eve and the holiday time seemed to cause a lot of backup and confusion in the kitchen. Nonetheless our server was very helpful, and all the food was reasonably good. The eggplant Parmesean was just so-so, but the salad and pizzas were quite good.
Great physical space - very roomy and spacious Staff! Staff was very friendly but the quality of the food has decreased. Pasta water was not salted rendering bland tasting noodles. We made the best of it as it was one of the few sit down businesses open later in the area on a Sunday. Should have stayed with the pizza but we wanted to try other things. Not sure we will return but wanted to make sure to share the feedback.
I usually don't write reviews but it was disappointing. It's not a family restaurant anymore it's more like a steak house vibe for business people. The best known for the chicken parm is gone had no flavor and prices went high. They shouldn't had move to a different location.
Restaurant is great, prices are fair and is a good spot. My husband and I took our family here over the weekend following our son’s baptism. We had reservations for 1:15 but the baptism ended early and we would be able to make it to the restaurant around 12:45. I called the restaurant to make sure This was OK. I was speaking with a new host on the phone who originally told me it was fine and then it sounded like somebody in the background had told her no. We could see that there was open reservations for our party size on red table so we decided to head in anyway. We were told it would be a few minute wait which we happily waited because we understood we were early, the new host that was there was super sweet, but the manager helping her out was not. The manager kept coming up seating since our party size grew(By two people) We would have to wait longer at the same time there was another group of eight that had came in as a walk-in, and the manager told the new host to sit them before us even though I had called ahead and tried to move the reservation and we even arrived earlier than them. We were finally sat after maybe 5 to 10 minutes in a new room. The whole restaurant was completely empty other than a few booths and us in this room. So I wasn’t sure why we weren’t able to move our reservation up earlier to begin with. Our waitress was fantastic, super sweet and she was even able to speak Spanish with the rest of my family. I wish I remembered her name. The manager kept coming up to check on our table during this time and kept repeating how our “party size grew”, and she wanted to make sure our “big party” was comfortable in this room. We originally had 9 and ended up with 11 in our party. She was making it seem as though we had a party of 30 people and grew it to 50. I would definitely recommend this location if the manager was nicer.
We went to Labriola Ristorante on Sunday, January 19, 2025. We specifically selected a Sunday, and made reservations, because we have been here before and we love their skinny deep dish pizza. However, at this location, they only serve the skinny deep dish on Sundays, so Sunday it was. We arrived at Labriola for our reservation and we were greeted by the hostess, who promptly took us to our table. My boyfriend requested that we be seated in the dining room when he saw that the hostess was seating us in the bar area. We were told that they were closing the dining room and that we couldn't be seated there, despite seeing several people already seated there. So we took our seats at a table in the bar area. The waitress came over and took our drink orders. She came back with the drinks, and we were ready to order. First, we placed our order for the garlic knots, which we have had before and our previous experience had us salivating for more. Next, we placed our order for the skinny deep dish pizza. We were immediately told "sorry, we can't take your order for deep dish. We don't have any dough." WHAT??!!! Deep dish pizza is what they are known for! How can you not have any dough?? We were so disappointed, we almost cancelled our order and left. But we decided to order the Neapolitan pizza instead. Our garlic knots came out shortly after we placed the order. They were not the same garlic knots that we had a few weeks ago. The dough was dense (it is supposed to be light and flaky, like croissants) and they were just not good. We asked the waitress to have the kitchen remake them. As we were waiting for our garlic knots, we asked the waitress to check on our pizza. Turns out, it was already ready. She brought the pizza out and we dug in. Honestly, the pizza was fine. Not great, but fine. I wouldn't come here for fine pizza. The dough was good. Chewy. Sauce and cheese were... fine. As we were eating the pizza, garlic knots part 2 came out. Not great timing. We tried the garlic knots again, and realized that the problem with the garlic knots was the dough. No matter how many times we ordered them, they were going to come out the same. Interestingly enough, as we were eating our pizza, another group (maybe 3 or 4 people) came into the restaurant, and they were seated in the dining room area. The same area we had requested to be seated and were told that it was closing. This was disappointing to see, as we would not have chosen the bar to sit in, as there were TV's on and that was not the scene we were looking for. We were almost finished when the manager came over to clear some plates from our table. My boyfriend asked if she was the manager. She confirmed that she was. We told her about our disappointment in the garlic knots and the unavailability of pizza dough. She did acknowledge our disappointment, and took the garlic knots off of our bill. She wanted us to "end on a sweet note" so she offered us a complimentary dessert. We ordered the chocolate cake, which was very good. Honestly, if we had never been to Labriola before today, we would never come back. Tonight's experience was that bad. I just do not understand how a restaurant known for their pizza can run out of dough! We will be back, but cautiously. And we will call ahead of time to make sure they have dough. And cheese. And sauce. And... you get it.
The new location has awful food. We ordered the grilled calamari and barely touched it, it had a strange taste (we have eaten plenty of grilled calamari elsewhere). The vodka pasta tasted like tomato paste and was dry and barely even warm. We left saying we would have been better off eating frozen meals from jewel. However, our waitress was nice and attentive.
I don't usually leave reviews but the evening ended poorly. They were busy and it took a bit for our drinks to come. Apps came out in an appropriate amount of time and so did our meals. But while waiting 45mins for the server to get back to us with the Gelato flavors (not an exaggeration). One of my party noticed other tables getting bread with their meals. We did not get bread with our meal, we thought this was odd as Italian restaurants normally serve bread. So now annoyed about the bread and taking so long to get back to us with information, I was thinking to myself this will reflect on the tip and I won't be coming here again. To add insult to injury there was a service fee of 3% on the bill which said "This is not gratuity". I did not notice when I was paying the bill otherwise I would have given 3% less tip. Again, I will never go to this restaurant again.
I’ve never left a google review before but this experience was so bad that I had to create an account to do this. I took my girlfriend here for Valentine’s Day and safe to say they ruined it. Soup/salad never came out, bread came ice cold, $16 cocktails came half full, and dinner took about an hour to come out. My girlfriend ordered the vodka rigatoni which came out with rigatoni and a few surprise spaghetti noodles, how fun! I ordered the steak frites medium which came out well done. I couldn’t tell if I was eating my steak or my date’s leather jacket. In my fries was also a nice surprise- 2 pieces of calamari, how fun! And hey the rock and roll music was a great touch.
