Excellent cocktails and hors d’oeuvres! The view was spectacular and our server was great! The rooftop bar was also pet friendly. I will definitely be back!

Loved the view and bartenders were very nice and hospitable. Drinks were even better and loved the bourbon based cocktails that they had. Would definitely spend an entire evening or afternoon there. View of the Oceanside pier and beach front. Great for sunsets too.

A Birthday Celebration at The Rooftop Bar at Mission Pacific, 201 N. Myers St. Every year, I celebrate my birthday in beautiful Oceanside, CA and one of my must repeat visit spots is The Rooftop Bar at Mission Pacific. It has become a personal tradition, and this year was no exception. Craving their signature Oyster Oh Lala, I stopped by for a birthday lunch and was warmly welcomed by Lieve, our amazing server. She didn’t just provide great service she treated us like family. Her attention to detail and genuinely kind nature made our experience unforgettable. We were also greeted by Lisa, the host, whose inviting energy and friendly demeanor made us feel instantly comfortable. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming perfect for a special day like mine. Lieve recommended the Stonesteps cocktail, which was refreshing and perfectly balanced. For food, I went with her suggestions: the grilled octopus and Caledoia shrimp — and wow, both dishes were absolutely phenomenal. The flavors were bold, fresh, and beautifully presented. Every bite felt like a celebration. The ambiance, the ocean view, the food, and most of all, the hospitality made this lunch truly special. And the best part? My day isn’t over — I’ll be returning tonight to enjoy the rooftop experience all over again. Thank you to the incredible team at The Rooftop Bar for making my birthday celebration so memorable. I can’t for my 7pm reservation tonight…

The Rooftop Bar Perfectly positioned between N Pacific and Myers, with the Oceanside Pier front and center, this is an absolutely stunning, memory-making experience. From the moment you arrive, everything feels intentional — the warm welcome from the staff, the iconic “LOVE” Instagram moment, and the beautiful Hyatt lobby set the tone. The concierge greeting was genuine, welcoming, and inviting. While the million-dollar sunset, excellent appetizers, and well-paired cocktails were all highlights, the true standout of the evening was the service. I’ve traveled the world, and great experiences always come down to service — and Devion absolutely knocked it out of the park. She was incredibly helpful with drink and food recommendations, thoughtful enough to bring blankets for our elderly guests, and brought a constant smile, humor, and clear passion for what she does. That level of care is what made the night memorable for everyone. The vibe was lively and upbeat, with a great mix of music and energy. On my next visit, I’m looking forward to spending time at the inside bar, which looked fun and full of an interesting mix of people. If you’re within 20 miles, this place is absolutely worth the drive.

The food was top tier and the service was great - unobtrusive and anticipative which is what I’m always looking for. I would DEFINITELY order the artichoke, amazing dish, and the chicken sandwich is really great as well. I like that they used chicken thigh instead of breast for the sandwich, gave it a way juicier flavor. The Brussels sprouts also have this incredible flavor with Mediterranean nut mix on top. The food quality paired with the view is unmatched.

What a beautiful place! We were seated with a view of the Oceanside pier. Our waiter was helpful, nice, attentive. Food was delicious. They allowed us to hang out in the lobby for a while free of charge. Bathrooms are clean and tidy. Will definitely be returning! Also, they are dog friendly so that's a plus! $5 parking in the lots behind the restaurant!

The Rooftop Bar is our first night out with anyone visiting us in Oceanside. They immediately understand why we’ve chosen to live in North County San Diego. The drinks are creative and tasty (and pricey). The limited menu is good to great - our favorites are the cheeseboard, vadouvan chicken sando, and the lamb sausage. Grilled shrimp, grilled artichokes, and spiced potato chips (patatas) are also yummy. If you want a good view, make reservations. Depending on time of year, you might need a min of 6 people to book. You have to provide a credit card to hold, which might be charged $35/person if you no-show or cancel with less than 48 hrs notice. It’s an amazing way to spend 2 hours with friends and/or and see a stunning sunset!

From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, with a stunning ocean view that made the evening even more special. The food was not only beautifully presented but also delicious — every bite felt fresh, flavorful, and crafted with care. But what truly set this place apart was the incredible service. The staff here is attentive, professional, and genuinely cares about their guests. We especially want to express our deepest gratitude to Margo and Rob. These two went above and beyond to make sure our evening was perfect. After a long and exhausting event earlier in the day, they welcomed us with warmth and kindness, helped us settle in comfortably, and ensured that we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. Their thoughtfulness and professionalism turned a simple dinner into an unforgettable experience. It’s rare to find a place where the combination of excellent food, breathtaking views, and outstanding hospitality all come together so seamlessly. Loved it here!! Came with two girlfriends of mine and we arrived just after 6pm on a Wednesday and got seated right away with a great view of the pier. It was a beautiful evening. We enjoyed drinks and plates like the moonlight and Seaside and the Cheese Monger. Would highly recommend this place as a nice date night with a partner or with some friends. Maybe no more than groups of 6. Our server was attentive and friendly and gave us great recommendations. This place was great and I can’t wait to come back!

Rooftop Bar at Mission Pacific is the perfect spot to grab some bites, a drink, and relax. The view is incredible! The food delicious! Atmosphere is unique! Excellent service and with good company what more could you ask for...? 🚗 Public Parking nearby Mission Pacific or Valet available 🌞 Prepare for Weather. 🩱There is a pool, but it's covered in the off season 🕶Bring sunglasses depending on the time of the day the sun reflects a lot on the ocean. 🥶 Bring a Jacket or Sweater it can get cold! Had a wonderful time staying at the Mission Pacific for a conference this Friday. But the best part of our stay was relaxing at the rooftop bar. The young man serving us (I think his name was Jordan) was extremely welcoming and attentive. The menus were beautiful and there was something to make everyone happy. We were only sad the bar is not open later, we did not want to leave! Our group will definitely encourage our organization to be host another conference at the Mission Pacific. Looking forward to coming back!

We celebrated my birthday last Sunday in this location and we were so happy!!! We were a group of 20 people. They made the celebration a success: the food (appetizer style), drinks, mimosas... all was great! The service is a little slow but they are super nice. From the girl that took our reservation being super patient with all the questions we had for her, the manager being flexible with de group of 20 (20 is the limit to be consider private event), to the guy that was serving us (sorry, I forgot his name) who was so sweet and went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed. And if this wasn't enough, the sunset views were STUNNING! Such a beautiful celebration! THANK YOU TO THE TEAM OF THE ROOFTOP BAR

Wonderful bar/restaurant on the top of the Mission Pacific Hotel. The cocktails are delicious, both with and without alcohol. The menu is very sophisticated and the food is delicious. Huge thank you to two of the waitresses that were so kind and served us wonderfully. I would 100% recommend.

Our friends took us to this restaurant for the beautiful view of Oceanside Beach and pier. We sat in the pool area at the furthest corner table. It had the best view but it was a bit noisy. It's beautifully decorated and very picturesque. I would say this place is better suited for groups of 4 or less. We were a group of 6 and options were limited. The food was on the pricey side because portions were quite small. More like tapas than actually plates. Food was hit or miss. We did like the cocktails and those were delicious.

The menu has only small plates to offer, but even the smallest plates seems to be large for the food. Only after all that did she offer a half-hearted apology and walk away. The interruption was accusatory, loud, and completely unnecessary. It killed the mood and made us leave early. No attempt was made to fix the situation or acknowledge how uncomfortable it was. Day 2: I was refused alcohol because I did not have my passport with me (though I had two foreign gov't issues IDs including an international drivers license), which is fine, but apparently I aged backwards overnight. I ordered a freshly squeezed grapefruit juice instead. When I asked for something fresh first, the waitress told me they had Dole pineapple juice, which already says a lot. The grapefruit juice arrived warm, with no ice and no straw (I had to ask and wait for one). My husband ordered a dirty martini. It was one of the worst he’s had with cheap and stall green olives and low quality vodka in it. The “marinated Castelvetrano olives” on the menu tasted like basic grocery-store jar olives with some weird herbs on it. Questionable at best. We asked for the check early and left with everything we ordered still on the table. No one asked how things were or why we were leaving. This place lives off the view, but atmosphere, service, and drinks matter. Right now, the staff actively ruins what could be a great rooftop bar. Wasted potential.

The rooftop has much potential to be an amazing rooftop with great atmosphere and great experience for all… however my experience was terrible. was recommended by a local who frequents often and the server was quite rude. she would cut us off, treat us as if we were in her way or bothering her. we were very polite and sweet. once we ordered our drinks, we tried to ask questions about the place and the menu and she stormed off as if she couldn’t tell us anything. the drinks were good & it was pretty empty on a saturday evening. the place is probably empty because service was terrible. i would never come back to spend my money here after the way we were treated. management needs to do something about Vanessa and her attitude towards customers, especially ones who actually tip well. i will never spend my money here again. plenty of other rooftops to go to to spend your money & they will appreciate it.
