Neighborhood coffee shop with lots of breakfast and lunch options. Fresh pastries, coffee drinks, smoothies, sandwiches, and more. They also sell their roasted coffee beans (many varieties). I ordered an acai bowl and my husband, a fresh bearpaw. (He had a choice of a fresh or day old). Everything we had was excellent. I really enjoyed the acai bowl, which was plenty to eat. Berries and granola on the top and bottom of the bowl with acai puree sandwiched in between. We both had a 16 oz cappuccino. Excellent coffee, and the foam was thick and had staying power through to the last sip. I opted for my coffee in a porcelain mug, which makes it more special. For whatever reason, hubby always gets a paper cup. Many people had their laptops and were working/surfing with their breakfast. Local art was hanging on the walls for sale. If you are looking for a cute local eatery/coffee joint, this is the place. Highly recommend.

Broader review of the town from a visitor: Everyone who came in was super respectful and bought coffee to use the wifi instead of feeling entitled. I had a great experience visiting Ojai Coffee Roasters. The staff were welcoming, kind and personable. The owner seemed to know all the locals and was very bubbly and friendly, even gave me a pen. Easy to concentrate and get work done, matcha was great. Will definitely be coming back.

We visited your coffee shop couple of months ago from NZ On our travels to the USA. After traveling 4 states, I still haven't found an double shot espresso that was as memorable. big thanks to your staff and delightful atmosphere.

An Ojai institution! Been coming here for more than 20 years and there's no better place in town to watch the world roll by. If you like a bit of human noise while you work, like me, it's a great place to post up for an hour. The staff are friendly and won't make you feel like they're rushing to get you out and clear a table. The coffee is house roasted and top notch.

My friend & I ordered coffee & tea today, along with some pastries. The pastries tasted super fresh & they were soooo yummy. If I lived closer to this place, I’d get bagels here every day. Coffee is super tasty as well. I recommend their hazelnut latte.

The coffee is good, but after ordering an iced caramel latte and iced caramel macchiato, I noticed they looked exactly the same so I asked the cashier which one is which. The cashier explained how the two are basically the same thing. If that is the case, it doesn’t make sense why they charged more for the latte than the macchiato.

Quality is vastly different from day to day. Coffee can be smooth and delicious or gritty and acidic. Chai lattes can be lightly sweet or like spicy bilge water. I went in dressed down this past visit for a little treat and was very obviously made fun of by two younger representatives. I'm done trying. I'll be going to Pinyon instead.

Since there aren’t many coffee shops around and this one came highly recommended, I decided to give it a try. Honestly, the coffee was really disappointing—definitely not good at all. I wouldn’t recommend it.

I generally have had good/ okay experiences with the staff, but the owner is the exception. She treated me very poorly, saying I needed to leave if I wasn't going to order anything because I was taking up a seat and using her wifi. (I was using my hotspot)The store was nearly empty and I was sitting quietly in the corner doing my work. She told me I was very disrespectful for sitting in her shop doing my work without purchasing anything. I would have bought something if she wasn't so rude, but I decided to pack up and leave, and I will not be returning.

I’m leaving this review to address a disturbing experience I witnessed at this coffee shop. An African American woman was asked to leave for not ordering food, while multiple white customers inside had also not ordered and were allowed to stay.
