We came here for lunch on our day trip to Ojai. I'm glad we did. I loved the atmosphere of the place. The patio outside is very spacious and pleasant. I'd always any to sit there if it's nice out, which of usually is there. The service was quick and the guys war delicious. I had the Tostada which was great but both the plates we had were big and filling. We'll definitely be back!

Delicious Mexican food with great attentive service. We ordered meals and appetizers and all the food was delicious. The weather was nice so we took advantage of the outside seating, but plenty is available indoor as well.

I can't tell you how long I've been coming to this particular restaurant. Since before It was called Agave Maria's, in The Times when songstresses would get on the balcony across the street at the play house and sing to us, when it was called Tony's. Long ago, when they used to have jazz on weekends and the strawberry margaritas were enough to drive all the way from camaro. I can tell you with complete honesty and over 10 years of coming to this particular location that the wet burritos with red and green sauce are 100% the best burritos in at least a 75 mile radius. Great job guys

I absolutely loved Agave Maria's. The food had fantastic flavor and we had good service. I recommend the Pixie margarita as well. The enchilada was was some of the best I've had and the Chile relleno was done perfectly. I think prices fair and I would definitely recommend this place. It's a little hard to find as it's tucked BEHIND the The Nest.

My daughter and I had a late lunch. The service was great and the food was delicious. She had the Chili relleno plate and I had the Latin Shrimp plate. First time for me to have a curry tasting dish. Loved it! It was pretty busy, but they were on top of their game. Decor was typical Spanish but comfortable.

Excellent food, atmosphere and the best margaritas ever - made with local tangerines. We had wet burritos and they might have been the best we've ever had - carnitas and veggie. Don't miss out on this Ojai gem!

The food was stellar and the staff were all friendly and made me and my family feel welcomed. The atmosphere of the outdoor patio seating was also nice. Would recommend any lovers of Mexican cuisine visiting the ojai valley

I was in the area and decided to stop at Agave Maria for an early dinner. They have a large patio and it was quite warm out but the patio felt nice as there are many umbrellas for shade. We tried the guacamole and chips which were good. The guacamole definitely has a strong lime flavor but it was tasty. They give you a generous portion of salsa and chips upon arrival as well. The chips were nice and fresh and crispy. The service was quick and the food came out right away and was hot and fresh. We had the chicken mole which was very good. I wasn’t fond of the rice as it was a little flavorless for my liking. We also had the queso Birria tacos which were very good along with the consommé. I thought it was a bit pricey but they definitely give you nice portion sizes. The wait staff was very friendly.

This was my first time and we had a big group. The staff took such good care of us. The food was really good and very fresh!! If you're in Ojai, I highly recommend!

Good food. Got fish tacos but it was chopped up fish which made it harder to eat. Lots of flies. No complementary chips and salsa. Service was slow. All together good eats and flavorful but could have been better.

The service and atmosphere was great, but I have had better Mexican food. Everyone at my table loved it, so I may have chosen the wrong items. I had 2 beef hard tacos , black beans and rice. I was underwhelmed.

They seemed overwhelmed when we were there. The waitstaff wasn't keeping up and the food was extremely mediocre (at best). Tacos aren't hard, but theirs were pretty bad.

In this day and age you would think a well established restaurant like this one would better (authentic) salsa choices. My food would have been so much better with a spicy Tomatillo salsa not a gringo tomatoe sauce.
