I love The Nest! A local favorite. I’ve eaten here many times. It’s one of our favorites The vegan kale salad is seriously awesome, so are the salmon tacos. And the staff is super nice! They have natural wine too. 🧡

Dirty fries are amazing. Also had poke bowl, not disappointed either. Libations are good. Great place for the late night snack and drink. You do have to order at a window and get your utensils but that's part of the charm. Friendly staff, they bring out food to you. Definitely will return.

I couldn't have been more pleased with the food and service. The dishes were crafted with great attention to presentation and full flavors. Each plate invited those at the table to share and the al fresco dining adds such a great ambiance to the meal. The outdoor dining space itself is so aesthetically pleasing and really compliments the architecture of Ojai and the surrounding nature.

I wish they had been open for indoor dining! This place looks like a fun spot and the food was so good!! We got the Golden Beet Salad, Calamari Tacos, and the Figgy Piggy Pizza. They all were absolutely delicious. We didn't get any drinks when we went but reading the list I wanted to try them all. Staff was also very nice and the place was clean and well kept! Can't wait to go back

We had their Buddha Bowl and fish tacos, and both were incredible. So happy we stumbled upon this gem!

Traveled up to Ojai from LA, and stopped for dinner with friends. I had their cauliflower tacos, and my friends had the Buddha Bowl and the vegan pizza. Mind you I am not vegan or vegetarian. Each of these dishes were very good, the tacos were huge, great in flavor and texture, seasoned well and looked very appealing. I'm a big guy and these satisfied me. I also tried some of my friend's dishes. Buddha Bowl was just as good, and that pizza was top notch. So in my opinion all the food I tried was good food, not just good for vegan food, but stsight up good food. Staff was friendly and helpful with questions.

Casual fun option with good food. Self service window on the patio. Gets crowded at peak times. Parking lot and street parking available.

The Nest is always a go to spot whenever passing through Ojai. Quality food and relaxing open-air patio to eat/drink and chill. Very casual spot with a dialed in menu focusing on comfort food bites and salads. Its not cheap, however, its in line with other establishments in the area.

The Nest Burger was amazing and they make a delicious salad with Fritos. I feel sorry for you if you don’t try this place. It’s the best!!!

Great food. I loved my Smoked Salmon Caesar Salad. Yummy and flavorful. The wine selection is good, too. I enjoyed the communal seating outside. Prices are on the moderate to high side but the quality of the food is worth it. Parking is an on your own basis.

Varied menu with individual slants on traditional items. ie Waghu beef and lamb on their gyro, brisket tacos, blacked or jalapeno shrimp. Prices were reasonable for the portions. Ample outdoor seating. Great cocktails!!!! Definitely deserves a repeat visit

The cauliflower tacos are delicious! They’re vegan and gluten-free. We also loved the vegan caesar salad, the kids’ rice bowl, and the poke bowl. In addition to cocktails, beer, and wine, there are a few nonalcoholic selections (I liked the cherry lime fizz). Next time I’m in town I’ll be back to eat more cauliflower tacos!

My daughter and I both had the Baja shrimp tacos and they were the best we’ve ever had! The quality was amazing and the taste was incredible! The dressing drizzled on top is so good. When we visit Ojai again, we will definitely eat here.

Great Tacos! We had cauliflower taco and a brisket taco, both delicious! We liked the cocktails too, very refreshing!

Good food, great service. Kid's burger was a good size to get! People that work there seems to be really nice. One of the waitresses has help us navigate how to get to the water river trails. She pointed out on the maps and also took her time to write out some directions how to get there after parking the car.

The tomato salad was fantastic, the base of rich crumbly feta and tomatoes were delicious and the crispy slivers of lemon peel sent it over the top. The strawberry limeade and the grapefruit serrano drinks were beautifully balanced, not too sweet and so refreshing

The location is centrally located within walking distance to a lot of Ojai offerings: museums, art galleries, and wine tastings to name a few. Ordering at the window and take a seat. I ordered the Korean BBQ wings, brisket sandwich, and Bao. All of them were delicious! The wings were the perfect balance between tangy, sweet, and savory. The Bao was soft and fresh, with flavorful toppings. The brisket looks unassuming, but will change your mind first bite. The bloody Mary was good, but I like a little more spice. Easily 5 stars.

The line wasn't too long but it took forever to get up to the front to order. Once we got our order in, though, it was quick to be served.

My wife and I decided to spend our anniversary on a day trip to Ojai and stumbled on this place while walking along the main boulevard. The food was fantastic with great vegetarian and non vegetarian options. The cauliflower tacos (vegan) were out of this world and my fish tacos (salmon) were the best I’ve had. They have a great variety of options. A great selection of beverages and great ambiance. I highly recommend checking it out!

My boyfriend had the brisket tacos which were great tasting and loaded with meat. I had the avocado toast which was disappointing because the topping tasted and looked like store-bought avo paste, instead of mashed avocado. Unfortunately the same “avocado” dip is used on their brisket and cauliflower tacos. Very pleasant outdoor patio seating. The last couple of times Apple Pay was not working, another disappointment.

The food was good. I felt it was a little pricey, but I was visiting from NH. The outdoor seating was fine. They're adding about 25 seats of indoor seating ready by January 1st, 2025.

The food is pretty good and not expensive at all. The drinks are definitely the best part of the restaurant. Sitting outside is also really nice with the cool and somewhat covered patio. I had the friend chicken sandwich which was really good. The pizza had a little but too much flour on the bottom and a pile of arugula that looked like a side salad, but was decent otherwise.

Umm, it’s okay. Maybe I’ll try again, first time, ordered lamb meatballs, didn’t care for it much. Also very limited wine on their menu. Good service.

Busy Sunday, but didn’t have to wait too long. They were out of all sorts of food and beer, this really miffed the young ladies behind the counter who were then charged with telling every customer that. We grabbed the food pretty quick, all three orders were outstanding. The Jalapeño Bacon Smash burger was something I will be back for.

What a view of the mountains (seated in the right place) Ojai has many good eats and the nest doesn’t disappoint . The duck baos and wings were good (more so the wings).

This place is pretty cool and I would definitely return, even if my sandwich seemed a tad under-seasoned for my taste. It is very popular so don't come here if you're in a hurry to get back out exploring Ojai because you'll be here a while.

Delicious but a little slow when busy, and you might need to sell a kidney to pay your bill! I had the pork bao buns appetizer and an earl grey lemonade (which was strong but very good) and It was $14 and took about 25 minutes to come out. The customer service was great. The manager brought out an extra serving of bao for me when she saw me taking the cucumbers off!

They have an amazing mezcal cocktail that is highly effective. I also tried their heirloom tomato salad with feta. Nice outdoor spot on the main strip to relax in the shade and gaze at the mountains. One of my favorite places in Ojai.

Great place for a fast order at the window and eat on the patio kinda place. The Salmon Tacos and Peach Lemonade were spot on. The beer dog was unique and tasty. Overall a great place for a fast lunch while walking in town for the day.

First time having a poke bowl, generous portion, I tried the brisket tacos really enjoyed them also had 2 drinks the boot and the Oaxacan good smoky taste of the mezcal, Oaxacan flavor 👌🏾

The Tico salad had only 6 beans, about 5 or 6 pieces of meat and the huge whole leafs of butter lettuce were why the food got 3 stars. I really expected more beans & meat for the price & also think the meat was unflavored. It would be better if they chopped the lettuce even a little as if out on a date there's zero chance of eating that gracefully. It became messy and hard to eat due to the whole leaves. Their Songbird was delicious and the ale my date had was good too according to him. There's no rating spot for the drinks but 5 out of 5 on the drinks at least. This will be a stop in the future when in Ojai looking for a quick drink. The seating area is seat yourself, which is nice, you can choose where you'd like to eat. There's fans above the area and I believe I saw heaters for when the weather is colder. Cute area on the corner faces their main street. Parking on the street is probably easier than in the Plaza they're at as it's rather small for a lot of businesses to share. Clean eatery, nice healthy options, kid friendly environment, give them a try.

The pizza was ok, but the salad was old and withering. The beverages were weird and hard to drink... we actually threw them away. The best item was their smoked salmon, that was very tasty. Their outdoor seating area is nice, but there were dogs everywhere, so not good for asthmatics or people with allergies. It was a bit windy, so dog hair was flying around and into our food. It's a good restaurant for people who like dogs, mediocre food and spending $120 for 2 salads, 1 small pizza and a 3 strange drinks.

Food was just "OK". Fast Food quality, with a huge amount of dressing on the ahi bowl. Not terrible, but not great either, and certainly did not justify the price paid for counter-service food. The calamari tacos filled a spot, but honestly the food felt like something you expect at Del Taco: the menu and online photos of the plates do not match reality.

Disappointed the poke bowl I ordered was heavily drenched in sauces and dressing I dont think I could finish it. Also ordered for a friend and they thought the same so I recommend getting sauces/dressing on the side.

The place was very nice in decoration and view of the city, however it was pricey. I got "the nest" pizza which had a nice touch to it with honey, but I wouldn't say worth $16. I also didn't like that it had a lot of oil on it, oil would be dripping off everytime I tried to take a bite. I would say the view is what this restaurant has going for it.

went there for food and drink, i got coconut margarita which is amazing! brisket tacos are good but small I was ok with them. however, there’s a human hair in my last taco…it was disgusting…am i going there again? probably not bc food is not cheap for that risk.

For the price the food was OK. Nothing amazing at all! Maybe it was a bad day for them? I'm not sure if I'd try this place again. The tri tip sandwich taste like they used liquid smoke on the meat. The tuna was not sushi grade, and I found it difficult to chew due to all the connective tissue being in it. Poor grade Tuna equals poor grade score.

Ya know...the food looked amazing, but was actually pretty disappointing. The simple margherita pizza was partially burnt on the bottom, and the meat in the ahi tuna tacos was not cut well or cooked well. The elote fries saved us from our deep sadness. Those flavors were executed well. Overall, would not recommend the food here, despite the cute atmosphere.

I've been to this place at least three times. The food is OK, but the location is great. In my last visit, i came at around 955 AM on a weekend right before they opened at 1000. I saw the place Open, so i grabbed a menu and gave one to my five friends that came with me, all of a sudden some guy that was inside the place with long sideburns kicked us out since he said the place was closed and would open in 15 minutes. He even asked us to wait outside and return the menus. Needless to say that they lost me as a customer for life. I will also stop recommending this place to all my friends and family. Bad service.

All dishes ordered by the four people in our group where barely edible. Excess sauce on tacos, Poke bowl was a very shallow bowl, little food in bowl, worst gyro I have ever tasted. Seating did not accommodate a busy crowd. One couple sat at table for eight people when there were smaller tables available. Staff sending women into men’s bathroom . Very odd and quirky place with poor tasting food.

This place was so cute and the menu looked amazing. Sadly, though we ordered three different lunches, they were all absolutely tasteless. Nothing to like. Pricey menu, tasteless food.

This place is prob overrated, First they overcharged us (they put 2 items instead if 1) we were lucky to catch it and get refund, service was bad specially compared to price paid 100$ for lunch for 2 small to medium portions, they served us a 17$ soup which was cold, we told the server and she refused to do anything she was dismissive and said there is no way to warm it up (they could have offered a warm soup as it was expected in this situation) food looks cool but it is not worth the money, ahi poke bowl was no good/not fresh, fries were old like fast food restaurant fries, first disappointment from Ojai's restaurant specially with regards to service. The only plus was it was bike friendly.

The food, while good, didn't really make up for the lack of atmosphere or attitude of the person who took our order. Outdoor seating only, which is fine but it was pretty chilly and not one outdoor heater was on. We felt as tho we had shown up unannounced @ the home of a relative:(.

Yesterday we went to eat at this restaurant around 11:AM , it was Saturday 17 , with my wife and my wife’s cousin and the food as always was very tasty,we are from Oxnard Ca. And we like to go to this restaurant to eat the ribeye steak but the service that we received on Saturday 17 was bad,the waitress was a short lady with some tattoos,when she served our food I ask her to take a picture of us and she refused to do it,For us it was rude from her😡😡

During the order I asked how the fries were .. cheerful response .. the best .. but they served reheated and refried fries and I had to return them to get them to make me a fresh batch which they did. The burger which was priced at $22 was expensive but I ordered it .. but the bun was falling apart and mustard slathered all over .. ridiculously expensive for a poor quality burger. So on both fronts it was an avoidable meal. Bottled coke was good… they serve the one with sugar and not HFCS. So positive points on that.

This place got several things wrong: The food was overpriced for the quality and quantity served (even by Ojai standards)! The fries were literally burnt ends and served almost cold. The pizza barely had any cheese and was mostly bread - hardly any other toppings despite a mention of Calabrian peppers on the menu. In contrast, fresh, hot, and long-cut fries were brought directly to our neighboring table by the server. Not sure why we were denied this service at our table! This experience certainly makes me think that the staff could possibly use some training. Highly disappointed and do not recommend this place!.

Bad fast food. Stopped here for a light lunch on our way for a 4 day holiday to Paso Robles. That night I came down with a case of food poisoning which I traced back to the Ceasr salad, which potentially was prepared in an unhygienic manner.
