Absolute Top-Recommendation, if you are in Olote. They have menues in English and French. For less than 80,00 Euros we had an absolute heavenly meal of entrees (beef carpaccio and foie gras), main course (duck magret), and desserts with wine, Waterkant and beers. The food was absolutely magnificent! We sat outside and enjoyed a beautiful evening. Service was great and superfriendly.

We had been walking just outside Olot and went into the town to find our lunch and this was the first restaurant we found that was serving. What a find, the food was excellent and the choice and quality was of a high standard. If we return this will be our first choice.

We loved the food here. Gorgeous plaza that we nearly missed! I had watermelon soup to start for intrigue only and it was so tasty. My friend had frozen goat cheese ice cream salad and also surprisingly delicious! The cod was very nicely cooked, with olive on the side. We were so stuffed.

After a long day of traveling to reach Olot, we spent the late afternoon walking around the town and hiking up the volcanic crater to see the sunset from a medieval watch tower. We spotted this restaurant on our way back and decided to eat here due to the outdoor seating and beautiful dancing happening in the square by the locals on a Sunday night. We read the menu and we’re intrigued by the “unusual” combination of ingredients and decided to go all in. My mother ordered the chilled watermelon soup with anchovies and olive oil. I got the goat cheese, tomato and olive oil ice cream salad. Both were spectacular. My salad was savory and perfectly balanced in flavor and texture. The soup was astounding and the anchovies were the perfect addition of salt and umami for the broth. Now, after the end of our trip, we’ve all agreed it was the best food we ate during our vacation. And we never had a bad meal!

Doesn't have the reputation (or the prices!) of Le Deu, but I was told by the dueña of my hostal that it was her own grandmother who brought the recipe from French Catalonia and made it popular locally, and she said "Las patatas en La Tintorería están correcto". I have no comparison, but they were absolutely incredible. The croquette I had was also excellent. Very strongly recommended.

Hemos salido paseando y en una de las plazas bonitas está este restaurante; nos han atendido muy rápido y la comida: cantidad y variedad ha valido la pena. Hemos cenado varias tapas y volcán chocolate postre. Precio acorde a lo que hemos pedido!

La comida muy buena y el servicio también, aunque no había mucha gente y pedí un cuchillo y no me lo trajeron, pedía la cuenta y tampoco… así con todo pero en general bien, volveríamos.

Un buen lugar para comer. La comida está bien, aunque lo único que mejoraría es el interior. Las copas desgastadas y con astillas dan la impresión de estar en un restaurante de pueblo. 😀

Visitamos la ciudad en plenas fiestas y tuvimos la suerte de encontrar este sitio para comer. Ofrecían el menú de fin de semana, de 25€. Llegamos antes de las 14 h y percibimos una desorganización inicial para que nos atendieran. Al comedor iban llegandob comensales y nadie atendía. Pasados unos 15 minutos, se organizaron y todo empezó a fluir. La calidad de los platos fue correcta y las cantidades son adecuadas, si bien algún postre no llamaba la atención visualmente pero sí estaba rico. Relación calidad - precio correcta.

Estábamos de paso y nos pareció que la carta tenía platos un poco más elaborados, así que nos sentamos. Pedimos ensalada de tomate, fresas y remolacha con helado de queso de cabra, tataki de atún y un stick de pollo. Sorprendentemente, la ensalada de tomate lo que más llevaba era escarola (ingrediente que no aparece en la carta), después nueces y tomate. El toque del helado está bastante conseguido. Tataki de atún, muy hecho. La apariencia era cómo de solomillo de cerdo. Estaba muy hecho. No recomendable. La salsa roja no hemos conseguido descifrar lo que era. Y hemos pedido el stick de pollo, pensando que eran lagrimitas de pollo pero era sólo una lagrimita...nos lo hemos comido antes de poder hacer la foto. Sorry. Lo mejor la ensalada con diferencia. El servicio amable pero han tardado mucho.

Hemos ido a comer 11 personas y es cierto que han tardado en tomarnos nota pero luego los platos nos los han servido muy rápido. Hemos pedido platos sueltos de carta y los niños menú infantil compuesto de patatas fritas nuggets y spaguettis. Las patatas de olot están ricas pero por ejemplo la enselada de "verdura de temporada" no la he encontrado. Igual es solo lechuga escarola y aceitunas. El precio acorde a los de alrededor.

We needed some food at the end of a long day trip and followed Google Maps to this place. Food was good, but service was a bit lacking. We were greeted by a young girl who must have been very new to the establishment. She explained to us that dinner wasn't served yet, another hour to wait. When we got up to go somewhere else, a more senior staff member said that we could indeed have dinner now. I ordered two tapas dishes, my partner a main course which he had to wait for quite a while. Maybe they thought that I had to eat my "starters" first before he gets his main course, not sure. The food was tasty and good value for money, but staff / service a bit lacking. The young girl didn't understand that we wanted to pay, but nodded and walked off never to be seen again. Maybe not her fault entirely because we didn't speak Spanish, and she didn't speak English, and management has a responsibility to train her properly regarding service and other things she needs to know, like setting the table properly etc.

Unfriendly staff, bad service, and small portions, and just okay food for the price which aren't worth the hassle. The waiter refused to even speak to me at all even though I know the language and was speaking in it all the time. Had to chase him down for a coffee while others were actually talked to. I guess if you're a foreigner, you have to be treated like you don't exist and can't communicate. Never returning again.

Pedimos un par de platos para compartir, y en uno de ellos llegaron unos nuggets que en mi vida me había comido unos nuggets tan secos. yo creo que si se lo tiras a alguien a la cabeza lo desnucas. Lo siento pero no repetiría aunque tengo que decir que el precio está bien, pero claro.....

Platos escasos de bonita presentación y mala calidad, un primero de pasta reblandecida y sin gusto y un segundo de carne seca con patatas congeladas y el clásico chorro de ketchup "unificador" y un postre "dulce" que bien podría ser salado porque no tenía gusto a nada comestible. Además la a barra del local llena de copas de los desayunos por fregar y las luces que fallaban. Puede que el local haya tenido mejores tiempos pero desde luego ahora es un no ir.

Buena localización pero nefasto servicio, estuvimos 30 minutos o más sentados sin ser atendidos ni siquiera para las bebidas, llamabas a los camareros y no te hacían caso. Una vez nos atienden, la comida estaba mal elaborada y no correspondía a lo que ponía en la carta ( te pone tallarines con salsa y vienen raviolis) esto es uno de tantos ejemplos que podría poner durante la comida de hoy. De verdad no lo recomiendo para nada.

We ordered from the ‘menu of the day’. The food was ok, but the small portions did not make it good value. The service was terrible. We were ignored for much of the time, waited 30 minutes for our order ( we asked about the food and the waiter didn’t reply, he just ordered through to the kitchen on his headset. He had forgotten our order). If the food had been great and the service efficient you might excuse the bad manners but that wasn’t the case. One last note… you shouldn’t be able to smell your waiter before see him!

Got really bad food poisoning from this place. I ordered their festival menu, which included potatoes filled with meat, salad, and "secreto ibérico" pork meat; I also tried their salmon. I ate the cream cheese for dessert and I drank a glass of wine and a poleo-mint infusion - one of these must have been guilty. After ruining my stay in Olot, I would most definitely not go back here.
