TBaar (Bubbalou's) is a popular BBQ spot known for its ribs, brisket, and various BBQ sauces, especially the sweet one. Many customers praise the friendly service and generous portions. Some find it inconsistent or pricey.
Tip: Try the ribs with the sweet BBQ sauce. Be aware that portion sizes may be smaller than expected for the price.
Everything was great! Friendly and helpful staff, delicious food, cold A/C inside! We had the pickle chips, baby back ribs, fried catfish sandwich, brisket, and turkey. Everything was so good! The "killer" bbq sauce was so good we took a bottle home with us. Definitely a must have everytime we come to Orlando!! Thank you!
I'm baaack!! 😋 Most people know I’m not a huge BBQ fan these days, but when the craving hits, you need something so good it'll make you wanna slap your momma! 😂 Bubbalou’s Bodacious Bar-B-Que did NOT disappoint! This was my first time experiencing Bubbalou’s, and let’s talk about the meats— I had a rib, pulled pork, and a chicken thigh. I added a little sweet sauce for fun, but honestly, it wasn’t even needed. Each meat was cooked to perfection, especially that rib! Sooo tender. My friend had the brisket and said the same — delicious and perfectly cooked. 👌🏾 Now the sides — I tried the potato salad, baked beans, mac & cheese, and corn. I’m picky about potato salad, but Bubbalou’s surprised me — super tasty! The baked beans hit, too. The mac & cheese wasn’t bad, just needed a little salt and (my personal preference) more cheese 🤷🏾♀️. The corn… meh. It fell a little flat. I like mine sweet, in this moment, a pinch of salt might’ve helped. My friend ordered the collard greens — I tried them and was pleasantly surprised! A little more seasoning would've taken them up a notch, but they were solid. Overall: Everything was tasty, and I’d absolutely recommend stopping by if you're in the area. I’ll definitely be back!
Hands down my fav bar-b-que place in O town and beyond. They hickory smoke ( the real stuff- not liquid smoke) the meats on premises and everything is so tender and delicious. The staff is awesome and happy to make recommendations and special requests. There are several different sauces to choose from that are on each table that range from Slap yo Mama HOT to mild and then sweet. The restaurant is clean and the decor is fun and welcoming. They also offer catering of events- I’ve had them cater several times and it’s always sensational.
Brisket was juicy and just melted away in your mouth. Baby back ribs was fall off the bone delicious. Beans were delicious with a smoky, sweet taste. Staff were friendly and outgoing. Staff explained how everything worked because it was our first time visiting that establishment. They have inside and outside dining areas.
You are welcomed with an amazing smell of Smokey BBQ. It is nice and cool inside. Visited today for the first time and ordered the pork and shrimp combo with a side of corn nuggets. When I got home, I only had shrimp, bread and fries inside my box (bummer!!!) Corn nuggets were a 10/10, shrimp is ok, too oily for my taste, but a solid 6/10. The bread was good, nice and buttery. The fries had no seasoning or salt, were really soggy when I got home (5 minute drive). The whole point of me visiting was to try the pork, unsure where the disconnection was, but I understand, things happen. This place needs more love! Such a staple in the area. I will give it another chance soon! If the pork is as good as the smell inside, I can expect it to be good.
Haven't been here in a few years, so glad I went today! It was delicious 😋 The brisket! Must have the brisket! No bbq sauce required. Bbq Beans on point and hot corn bread. I would have liked to see the other sides in the bbq bean porton cup....just a preference 😊
Having a goal to eat fried pickles in every state, that was what we looked for, and while it was the name that caught my attention, it was the menu and prices than took us there, and the taste that makes me rave! So so good! The fried pickles ended up being good but pretty standard, but we got the Bubbalou's Special with ribs, chicken, beef & pork. The ribs and chicken were particularly amazing! Cooked perfectly, so tender and the flavor was awesome. Their BBQ sauce was very good, and this coming from a Kansas City gal. The sides were all delicious- I could have eaten a whole meal of just the mac and cheese. Also enjoyed a can of local beer which was a great pairing. All in all, I VERY satisfying experience and went home full and happy!
I’ve been to a lot of barbecue places all over this country but I have never had the quality and consistency that I find every time I visit Bubbalou’s. To be clear, I have visited other Bubbalou’s locations and even they fall short of the Conroy location. The food is so good. The staff is friendly and attentive but also patient. If you want the best barbecue, this location has got to be at the top of your list. The brisket is juicy and tender. It doesn’t require any barbecue sauce. The baby back ribs are perfection. Don’t get me started on the desserts and sides. If you are hungry and serious about barbecue, this is the only place you need go. Bravo Bubbalou’s!
This location is the best Bubbalous! Everything was perfectly prepared and my son just loved the ribs! I have to give additional compliments to the staff. They were just delightful and so nice! We were greeted with such helpful kindness by the lovely young woman at the register, she offered suggestions and menu recommendations as if we were neighbors. When our order was ready, the nicest gentleman brought it to us packed perfectly with a level of friendliness that was just worth note. That alone brings people back, so I hope they are appreciated!
Omggggg the BRISKET......I'll say it again...BRISKET!!!!!! This was my second time eating here. The brisket was moist and seasoned perfectly. Also the variety of different sauces are so delicious. My favorite sauce is the mustard sauce. Sweet and savory. Great customer service. The next time I'm back in Orlando....I will be back. Great BBQ!
This is my first time dining here. The atmosphere is a bit rustic but very clean. There is seating outside which is nice so you can enjoy the weather. I chose the platter so I could make a good review of the food. It came with corn bread, baked beans, pulled pork, ribs, brisket and chicken with cole slaw and fries. The chicken was very moist and well seasoned so were the ribs and pulled pork. I loved the baked beans a sit had some shreaded pork mixed in with the beans. The brisket was a bit dry for my taste. The corn bread was just right not overly sweet. There are several bbq sauces on the dining table from sweet to very spicy. I definitely enjoyed my bbq meal and qill be going back again.
I got the meat combo. BbQ Chicken, ribs, brisket and pork. Enough to split between 2 people. Comes with 4 sides. Enjoyed Brunswick stew, baked beans, Cole slaw and potato salad. All so delish. Chicken was perfection and juicy. Ribs fell off the bone! They have 5 different bbq sauces on the table and a roll of paper towels. You order at the counter and take you number to seat yourself. The small restaurant is decorated with lots of pigs and other interesting things to look at. Seating is inside or out in the screened deck.
Visited this place twice. Pretty good BBq. Especailly Baby Backs are deliciouse - so soft and tender. Turkey was ok, half chicken as well. dinner served with fries, beans. coleslaw and toasts. On each table, there is several bottles of bbq sauces including their "Killer" one :-)
The brisket is probably one of the best I've tasted in Orlando. The portions are more than reasonable and the prices are decent. I've tried brisket in other places and they're either too small or straight dry. Here I got my brisket with the perfect amount of fat and it was so juicy. Would definitely recommend and I will be coming back.
This is a must stop for us anytime we go to Universal Studios. The pulled pork and Brisket are fantastic with the killer hot sauce (which isn't really hot) Definitely do dine-in, as I tried delivery once and as most places just wasn't the same.
Okay this compliment holds A LOT of weight as we’ve lived in Tennessee for nearly 2 decades and we KNOW what good Bar b q is. Giving this place a 4 on food quality is a high compliment from us , we are basically Bar b q critics . It’s very very hard for any restaurant to pass the test when it comes to even decent bar b q and most places fail. We would order from this place again. Enough said :)
After reading reviews we decided to give this place a try. We were not disappointed. Very good service and even better food. The ribs were good perfect with the sauce. Mac n cheese and potatoes were good too. We ordered the shrimp and chicken tenders my girls both liked them as well. We will definitely be returning when back in the area.
Great service, delicious food and a great chilled friendly atmosphere! Great value for money also! If you’re from London, this place rivals Bodeans BBQ at home!!
Bubbalou’s Bodacious Bar-B-Que is hands down one of my favorite BBQ spots! From the moment you walk in, you’re hit with that smoky, mouthwatering aroma that lets you know you’re in for something good. The meat is always tender and packed with flavor — whether it’s the ribs, pulled pork, or brisket, it’s all just so good. Their sauces? Next level. And don’t even get me started on the sides — the baked beans and mac & cheese are absolute musts! Make sure to have at least one of your meals here when you’re in Orlando — it’s a hidden gem that saves you from the crowded restaurants and overpriced tourist food around. Bubbalou’s is the real deal. I love it here, and I’ll definitely be back!
Wonderful service. Wonderful food. We came in with 10 people. Very accommodating. Isaiah was fantastic!
No long wait and made to order barbecue meal even on a Friday night. They got big portion where we ordered half a pound of pulled chicken and a 3 pig platter for sharing between the two of us. We enjoyed the spare ribs most out of all the meat, and of course their signature barbecue sauce as well. Juicy and smoky! Dinner also comes with 4 sides where you can pick the sides you like which is definitely a plus! Strongly recommend you try this place out!
We had the Texas Brisket and Ribs Dinners. Both were well smoked, super tender, and full of awesome flavor. The different sauces they have are excellent. Just be warned...unlike the "hot" BBQ sauce which has a subtle spiciness that sneaks up after a few seconds, the "Killer" BBQ sauce will hit hard and fast! The iced tea was an excellent way to wash it all down.
Wasn't expecting the portion size to be this small but it tastes amazing 10/10 Daniella was wonderfully helpful influencing my choice in dish. Definitely coming back.

I come here after work sometimes and they are the best ribs I’ve ever had. The place itself is super cute and everyone is so friendly.

After all these years, Bubbalou’s serves up excellent barbecue! Three of us split several things: pulled chicken sandwich, pulled pork basket with slaw and baked beans, and their fried okra. It’s consistently good food and staff is efficient, eager to refill your cup. I have my favorites on the menu which include gator bites.
The food here is amazing here. I went and ate here before placing a catering order and I was not disappointed. The ribs, chicken and baked beans are so good! I got the party pack 3 that was supposed to feed 25-30 people. We were not disappointed with the food or the amount. There were plenty left overs for all who wanted. The boxes and pans that the food was placed in were neat and clean. I called around to other restaurants for catering orders. For the quantity and price Bubbalou’s was the best and most professional.
This is our favourite restaurant to visit when we are in Orlando. The baby back ribs are sensational and fall off the bone, and we also love the baked beans which are slow cooked to perfection. Special shout out to the sweet BBQ sauce which complements the ribs beautifully! 😋 The restaurant feels welcoming and homely and all of the staff are super friendly and kind. We hope to be back soon for another visit! Thank you Bubbalou's team. 😁
WOW. Just WOW!!! 🤯🔥 This place is an absolute BBQ DREAM. The food is AMAZING perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and straight-up addictive. Every bite was better than the last. The wait staff were beyond friendly welcoming, patient, and incredibly helpful with the menu. They made great recommendations and genuinely made us feel taken care of. From the first bite to the last, this was a top-tier experience. Incredible food, awesome vibes, and service that makes you want to come back again and again. 10/10 HIGHLY recommend!!! 🥩🔥👏
The other locations closed. I hope this one doesn't follow suit, because his is my personal favorite BBQ spot in Orlando. I love their "Sweet" BBQ sauce and making sandwiches with the thick pieces of garlic bread they serve with every meal. 4 Rivers gets most of the buzz around here, but the real OGs know what’s up.

A wonderful barbeque restaurant just minutes from the Millenial Mall. Bubbalou's Bodacious BBQ was founded in 1986 in Winter Park, Florida, by the Meiner family. It currently has 2 locations; Altamonte Springs and Orlando. My brother recommended trying the Orlando location recently. This restaurant is known for its authentic Southern BBQ and laid-back atmosphere. The seating is long wooden picnic tables inside, a few tables outside. As soon as you enter, you are greeted by the smoky aroma of barbecue, instantly whetting your appetite. The staff was friendly and quick to assist, making the ordering process smooth and efficient. You order at the counter where you pay and get your drinks. I opted for the pulled pork platter with french fries and cornbread as sides and a tea as the drink. The pork was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. It was served on a soft toasted hoagie-roll type break. Sauces were on the table. The french fries and the iced tea were very good. There are free tea refills and one of the staff stopped by twice to ask if we needed them. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity of food provided. The staff kept the tables bussed, the garbage emptied and the floor clean while I was there. My meal with sandwich, 2 sides and a drink was about $15. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience that I would recommend for people wanting good barbeque in a relaxed and friendly environment at a good price. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
Very good BBQ place. Not sure this is THE best we’ve ever had, but it was pretty good. Good: St-Louis style ribs were spot on Brisket was very tender and juicy Sauces were great Pickle chips were amazing. Not-so-good: Baby back ribs were dry. Coleslaw is to be avoided though. Nice place to try 2miles by Universal
Hospitality from the moment we walked in the door. Food took a short time, cooked fresh to order, was excellent. I got the gator bites, a delicacy. Husband had sausage sandwich and hard fried livers. Sausage tasted store bought, livers were good. Would definitely come back.
Wanting some Bar-B-Que and this was the closest location to where I was as I’m not from the area. Beef rib plate was my choice. Ribs were pretty good, tender and came off the bone with zero effort. Beans were filled with spare meat pieces and not watered down. Mack N Cheese was creamy and hit the spot. Slaw, well….. I’m not a slaw fan so if I ever go back I won’t order it again. It did not have a zip from red wine vinegar and was just cut wet cabbage with a white fluid on it. Garlic bread was flavorless, was hope full as it looked great but wasn’t. I’d stop again if I’m back in the area just won’t order the bread or slaw.
Had a great experience my first time here! I was in the mood for a chicken sandwich and theirs are very good! The ingredients were fresh, the bread was good, and the fries were fresh! I substituted the beans for Mac and cheese and did NOT regret it. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more of what their menu has to offer.
The food was good and I enjoyed the atmosphere. The killer sauce was not killing but then again I'm Jamaican so you'll know how that goes. Your hot/spicy and mine are different. 😊 The server was pleasant and helpful.
Came here for dinner while on a family vacation on a Saturday evening. One of the few places I can eat at as a carnivore (I just give away my sides to my family). Easy to find place with plenty of free parking in the strip mall. I loved the atmosphere and the staff were extremely nice and helpful. I ordered the 4-meat special (sliced beef, sliced pork, ribs, and chicken) which sounded good bc of the variety. However, I was a little disappointed. I think I should’ve tried the pulled pork and chopped brisket instead because the sliced meat had no taste. Just be aware, the meal is already 21.99 and they up-charge for the better meat. The ribs tasted good, but were not the tender, fall-off-the-bone type. Finally, the chicken was just so-so. I’d still recommend this place, but I’d definitely get other types of meat if I go back again.
The brisket is moist the way I like it. Don't like when is lean. The cashier listen to my request. The pull pork very tasty. Actually don't even need BBQ sauce. I was looking for a local place . No restaurant chain and I found it
It was good but it was better I agree with some reviews, the food is good do not take this negative it is just not AS GOOD as it used to be. Service was ok and the place is a classic Orlando spot well located. Its not a destination food spot but it will NOT let you down. Great variety of drinks Better french fries would also be awesome
Awesome staff here! We got the brisket dinner and a large sweet tea. Sweet tea was awesome and the beans and corn bread were great! Brisket was really good but a tad dry. Would definitely try again!

This restaurant was slightly above average. The ribs were not meaty, the brisket was average (check out 4Rivers for amazing brisket) and the pulled pork was good. The sides a much better, loved the corn on the cob and the baked beans. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is festive.
Saw the reviews and still decided to give it a shot, because it was closer than 4rivers. Ordered the rib and chicken combo, it was ok, the baked beans were blah, the cold slaw was worse than the beans, the Texas toast type of bread was good, the different sauces were ok. But in all, it was a been there done that, and won't do it again thing for us. If you're on a budget maybe this is the place for you, but if not pay the extra and go with a different spot.
My family and I tried out Bubbalous on New Year’s Day 2024. Overall the food was pretty good…I especially enjoyed the bakes beans😋. I tried the pulled pork plate which was meh…although I probably should have tried the brisket…I grew eating some of the best pulled pork BBQ ever and it is really hard to top the pitmasters I grew up eating. The collard greens were pretty good as well as the mac and cheese. Service was great! Would return and try some other items on menu.
Bubbalou's food is delicious but kind of expensive. The corn on a cobb was okay and tasteless without any tempered in it, the fried catfish was good but not the best one that I have had, the fries were amazing, and the fried pickles a bit salty but pretty good. The service was okay since we noticed people (who got over there after we did) getting their food before we did. Overall, if I had yo say that I sould go back there then I would have to say once in a blue moon.

We've been going to Bubbalou's for around a decade whenever we visit Universal. Up until now it was consistent. Something must've changed recently as the service and the quality of food has taken an extreme nosedive. For starters, the waitstaff came off impatient and unaccommodating. We ordered Mild and Sweet wings but received buffalo for 1 out of the two. When we questioned this, the waiter lied and tried passing it off as BBQ so that a new order didn't need to be made. Prices have most definitely gone up despite most of the food tasting like it came out of the frozen aisle. Outside of the quartered chicken and ribs, nothing came off as being smoked. Brisket tasted like pot roast and the turkey was undoubtedly run of the mill lunchmeat. None of the sauces were good at all with a doctored aftertaste. I'm still not sure whether if it was nostalgia that kept me coming back here or if the food was ever any good. I guess this question will continue to linger as I don't see us ever returning again.
Last night, we decided to visit Bubbalou's on Corroy Road.. Also, I should state that I also cook a bit! Our experience started out great but quickly went down in flames! Upon arrival, our server quickly took our order, was cordial and clear. The good times stop here! I ordered chicken, ribs and sausage. The ribs were over done, flavorless, hard on the outside, deep grey inside and tasted like "burnt hair" smells! I realized that I would be unable to eat it and moved on. The sausage seemed to be the pre cooked variety however, it had this same burnt-hair undertone. I tried using extra sauce to offset the taste but, to NO avail! The chicken was cooked well but had NO flavor except for the same burnt-hair undertone. Now the little lady ordered Brunswick stew which, was served to her COLD! She had to ask that it be "heated up"! It has been some time since I've eaten at these restaurants but I NEVER recall them being like this!! I told myself that it was possibly an off night however, I feel this was kinda the norm for this location!
