We started coming here 30 years ago when my wife was a student at Oswego State. We still make the 1 hour drive for birthdays and other special events. Awesome food and reasonable prices. Just keep in mind entree prices do not include a salad. The Rigatoni Fixed is so delicious. Always quick and friendly service.
Canale's catered for my wedding about a month ago. The level of service and food quality blew me away. Nick and Sarah were amazing with planning, coordinating details and setting up the venue. The servers who worked the day of the wedding were attentive and even brought me and my husband water on the dance floor! My guests commented multiple times how fantastic the food was. I can not thank them enough for making my wedding go so smoothly. I highly recommend Canale's Restaurant! Thank you again for all you did!
Loved our Saturday lunch on Canale’s charming patio al fresco! It has been developed even more since my last visit! Perfect setting full of flowers, vines, stone walls and excellent service! I ordered Pasta Fagiole and Chicken Riggies. Both were delicious! The Riggie sauce was full flavored, bits of veggies and enough heat to make your taste buds get excited but not burnt! Fantastic!!!
First time there and will be back. My husband and I shared so we could try a dinner and pizza. There was also bread and butter served A very nice menu with plenty to choose We ordered the Montreal Tenderloins Medallions which was delicious, tender and flavorful with a side of Minestrone soup for me and mashed potatoes for him. We ordered a large Meat Lovers pizza to try freshly baked and to take home next day. Which was also delicious. us both ways. Unfortunately we left no room for dessert but we will go back. The wait staff was fast, friendly, just perfect.
Attended a 60th birthday party upstairs. The room was set up well to allow for mingling, and the appetizers were delicious!
Rehearsal and welcome dinner for my daughter’s wedding was beyond amazing! Thank you to Nick and Sarah and all staff! We had so much fun and the food and service was impeccable! Canale’s you’re the best!
The residents of Oswego County have one of the best Italian restaurants, period. It has been many years since my last visit. We live about a one hour drive away and found that the food is still fantastic. Kudos to the staff for maintaining the quality of food over the years. My first meal here was in the late 1960's and the food continues to be 5 stars.
I saw Post Malone in concert at the lakeview in Syracuse and he said in an interview that that he still had family members in Central NY he likes to visit and said this is his favorite Italian restaurant in the world. So my husband and I are going to come and check it out soon!!
Canale's Restaurant in Oswego, NY, is a well-known Italian eatery with a rich history. Founded in 1954 by the Canale family, it has become a staple in the community for its authentic Italian cuisine and family-friendly atmosphere. The restaurant offers a variety of traditional Italian dishes, including pasta, pizza, and seafood, along with homemade sauces and desserts. Located at 156 West Utica Street, Canale's is situated a few blocks south of Lake Ontario. This proximity to the lake allows visitors to enjoy a meal and then take a short drive or walk to the scenic waterfront. The restaurant has maintained its reputation for quality and service over the decades, making it a beloved institution in Oswego.
Wow! This place was amazing! The food was delicious and came out quick. Our server was wonderful and got all of our meals correct and served quickly. I highly recommend this place! I will definitely come back!
We have dined at Canale’s for many years. We try to go there at least once per week. We particularly enjoy the baked haddock w pasta and the best sauce ever. The Riggi’s are special too.
I went for takeout, so I don't think the atmosphere can really be judged. Love the food. I always have enough for leftovers. Had the lasagna, and it was delicious. Of course, I will go again or order takeout again.
Just about the best Italian food around. Terrific spot for lunch, never have to wait for a table. Slightly longer waits at dinner time but always worth it. The service is always great and I've never had a bad meal there - especially love the black and bleu pasta and the pizzas are amazing! Recently ordered delivery during peak dinner hours and the food arrived hot & fresh 10 minutes sooner than the estimated delivery time, I was very impressed!
First time eating there today. The food was delicious, nice size portions of food, wait staff was very polite and made the dining experience very nice.Prices were not bad either. It's nice to be able to go to an affordable restaurant still.I will definitely go there again as it was a great dining experience.
Took my mom and aunt here for brunch. We were all blown away by how nice the seating area was set up and the arrangement of foods. Food was all delicious and service staff was friendly. They even went out of their way to get me butter and jelly for my pancake! Great experience.
If I could rate it higher I would. The fixed red sauce to die for. The service exceptional. I am in the service business. This is a must do. We traveled here to experience it and it was worth the 12 hour drive. Incredible!!!!!
Excellent restaurant. Delicious food. Great service. Good choices on the menu. Everyone we talked to in town said the same thing. Great reputation. I don't see how you would be disappointed eating here. We will be back . Parking is ok. Just enough room on the side and right across the street. There is plenty of seating . Can't go wrong.
We went to dinner here with another couple and had a delicious meal. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Leftovers were just as good the next day. We would definitely eat here again.
Nice family restaurant. We went after Hockey game fo celebrate a birthday. They had a good menu with home made pasta that was delicious. Waitresses were very friendly and were pretty fast at delivering the food. Food was good, hot and a good quantity!
They accommodated a party of 7 at the last minute. They were so nice over the phone…and the atmosphere was even better. I haven’t even mentioned the food yet. Great food at affordable prices. P.s. that party of 7 included 3 children under the age of 9.
Great Italian restaurant. Friendly staff and excellent food. I like the home made gnocchi’s and sauce is delicious. One of our favorite places.
First time enjoyed it much. The portions were good for the price. I love cheese garlic bread won't say anything bad I just like more garlic. Hubby's burger was good cooked perfect. My baked Haddock was good I added lots of lemon I'm a small eater so portion was good for me but like I said price was right but hubby was gonna get it too but would not have filled his belly. Clean restaurant menu was full of crumbs. But we enjoyed. It's 25 miles from us would go again if closer to us and maybe someday when we r out there again.
Food is the best. Their chicken wing pizza is awesome. Only down side is that we were a large party so they sat us in the bar side by ourselves. The server had people on the other side as well so he was a little backed up.
Best Italian restaurant in Central NY!
This was such a cute restaurant! Richard was AMAZING and did so well with me and my guests! No mistakes were made and everything was perfect! Also a shoutout to the host that took our reservation & easily accommodated the changes I needed made to guests and high chairs, you were awesome! Extremely family friendly, great drink selection, and overall amazing service and food. Thank you so much Richard!
Hadn't been in many years due to living far away. Did not disappoint. Food as excellent as ever with terrific service and the same well groomed family restaurant atmosphere. Nice that some good things never change !!
I gave 5 stars for the atmosphere because of the patio. Perfect spot on a warm spring/summer day. The service is always great. The food is good, but I wish they had more daily specials and vegetarian options. The pizzas and salads are great!
The food was delicious. The haddock parm, eggplant Parm and fish Italian were solid meals. The dinner salad was okay.
Always good food. Wasn’t disappointed, everyone enjoyed the food. Great service also!
Food was delicious. Bread came out right away with plenty of butter. Server was very friendly and made some great suggestions; she knew the menu pretty well and was helpful when we placed orders. Soup was hot. Pasta was cooked just right. Sauce was very good as well; definitely tasted home made. Chicken parm was good as well. There was outdoor seating with music. We sat indoors and the sound did not penetrate the walls; we only heard it when the door opened. Bathrooms were clean Nd the dining area was well maintained. We were not rushed out when the food was finished as many places tend to do. Everything was very good.
The best! We’ve had our family reunion here for the past two years. The bartender has been our server. She is so attentive and kind. The food is incredibly good, fast, and fresh. Love this place!
I've been going to Canale's starting in 1970 when my family moved to Oswego and the food is as good Today in 2025 as it was then.!! I now live on Long Island and visit family and friends in Oswego 3 times a year and although my visits to Oswego have been plentiful, but sadly i have not gone to enjoy Canale's in quite some time as i usually have made my trips solo and don't enjoy a meal in a spot like this solo, so my Wife made the trip this go 'round and i wanted her to enjoy the amazing food i did with me so off to Canale's we went. What a complete joy and treat to flash back to my childhood and pre-teenaged years eating the same quality tasting food I always remembered from there.! Oh That Red Sauce or Gravy, depending on which side of the Italian line you're on..lol..amazing tasting as the day I had my 1st dish of Pasta and Meatballs as a child. We went on Saturday 9/6 just ahead of the Dinner Rush for a 5:30pm reservation and was seated right away and drinks and food followed..App was the friend Ravioli with sauce served on the side to dip in, perfectly fried and so good.!! My Wife ordered the Calabria which included Chicken Parm and Manicotti with a cup of Pasta Fagioli which she enjoyed as well as her main entree..i ordered the Morolo Combo with a Chicken Parm, a Sweet Sausage and i Meatball with a side of Rigatoni "Fixed Romano Style". which tasted amazing.! all quality as it was when i was a kid growing up in Oswego in the 70's.!! so if you're in Oswego for any reason, go enjoy some top notch Italian food with amazing Red Sauce/ Gravy head here.!! Also a large shot of appreciation to my server and gentleman who was there opening the following morning as my Credit Card was Left behind and realized the following morning by me ahead of leaving town and when i called half hour ahead of opening they said it was there with them and at the Bar and come grab it before opening which i found awesome and generous as they could've asked me to wait until they opened for business to grab it and delay my leaving town, so THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for that and the honesty of the entire situation.!! If you Doubt my word that Canale's is the spot to eat quality Italian Food, The Singer Post Malone who is from Baldwinsville originally and as a kid had eaten there recently stated his favorite Italian Food to enjoy in the world is Canale's, Google it...read the interview..and I live where there is an Italian Restaurant every square mile here on Long Island.lol...seriously, go enjoy quality and CONSISTENT tasting food.!!
Every year we take family vacations, with the main goal to show the kids original, what i would call mom's&pop's, travel up and down the east coast. Once again for the 5th time found another. Excellent down to earth service,Friendly,Clean and Awesome Food! From Rochester,New York Thank you,
They had event were their main dining room was closed but even with the event we're able to seat our large group. The food as always was amazing and while short staffed because of the event they made sure that we were taken care of. We will definitely be coming back!
The first time I went to Oswego, we ate on their patio and I had such amazing chicken Parmesan that I forgot about my purse when leaving. We called when we realized and they held it for me until I came to get it. We go here every so often when we’re craving great Italian food. Probably the only “ bad” thing we had here was the steak, but it was just overcooked for a rare steak order. The manicotti, the chicken Parmesan, and the bread are so amazing! We also buy their sauces to use at home. Truly a must taste menu for Italian food.
I had a wonderful meal Generous portion and tasted great
As a party of 6 we visited on NYE! The food was beyond amazing, the atmosphere was festive and celebratory and our server ~ Sarah was wonderful! Attentive to our group while busy serving others , her food / drink recommendations were on point. She was amazing! We’ll definitely be back soon . Thank you Canales for a great night out with family!!
Vincent was the best cook ever!! He was so kind and sweet and we gave all our props to the best cook in New York!! The Chicken Marsala was THE BEST IN THE WHOLE WORLD.
I was very impressed with my first experience at Canale's. This is some of the best Italian food I've ever had. The portions are enormous, my partner and I split an entree and we were both stuffed afterwards. You could probably get two more meals from the leftovers if you had an entree to yourself. The sauces are delicious, and there's free bread that's quite tasty with the meal. Despite being busy, our food was ready very quickly and the staff were quite responsive.
Can’t wait to come back here. The food was incredible, and the ambiance is wonderful. We met the owners, who were so friendly and recommended their favorite dishes to us. I can’t recommend this place more if you’re in Oswego - try to broccoli pasta, gnocchi & sit in the GORGEOUS outdoor patio if you can.
Wow! What can I say, this place was amazing! The interior looks very old-fashioned and I loved it. The wait staff even uses this old wooden cart to deliver the food, so awesome. And that service was immaculate! My waitress was so friendly and helpful. I even wanted to order something 'off menu' and she was super helpful. And don't get me started in the food! It was absolutely incredible! Everything down to the sauce, salad dressing, croutons, even the PASTA was made fresh in-house! It was a little pricey, $100 for 2 people to eat lunch. But I did have a glass of wine and a martini too. All in all, it was definitely worth it! Most amazing meal I've had in a long time!
It was later in the evening when we stopped in. I had linguine with white clam sauce. The linguine was a bit overcooked. Lots of clams but the sauce was very salty. My wife had chicken tacos. She said there was nothing wrong with them other than being bland. Service was great. The restaurant is very nice.
Very good food and portions are substantial. Service is prompt and attentive without being intrusive. Only complaint was a table of about ten middle-aged gentlemen at a table near us that could not control the volume of their conversation.
Food and Staff are Great We had a wonderful server, Sarah, who made sure all of our dietary needs were met. The kitchen staff went overboard to ensure all the food was fresh and delicious. The dining room was clean. The decor is dated and could updating.
Very busy place! We didn't have reservations, but they were able to seat us in the upstairs dining area, which was very quaint and much quieter than the normal dining. Our servor was fantastic, very friendly and offered recommendations. Extensive beer and wine menu. The regular menu is also full of options, with many dinner specials included. The pasta chip nacho appetizer was delicious. I had the vegetable lasagna, it was good. I would like to go back and try their meatballs as I have heard great things about them.
Our server was GREAT! The food was wonderful, but was a little disappointed in the "Fixed Romano Sauce" It was delicious, just not the way I've had it in past times. It seemed heavier, and more ("tomatoey"sp) less butter and Romano? My family said same thing when I brought leftovers home.....Still, all was great...I especially love the provolone, roast pepper, artchoke, pepperoni platter! Thank you, Canale's, for a great meal
Our waiter was outstanding, Frankie read our table well. Perfect balance! We were celebrating my great uncle’s 94th birthday bravo to all!
Italian/Greek food It's very good. The cheese cake is great and creamy.
Stopped in for our first time. Enjoyed a great lunch we had baked haddock and the veal parmigiana. The waitress was very attentive and welcoming. The restaurant has an open afelt like you were kinda downstairs in an old style restaurant just below ground level even if we weren't just had a good vibe to it. Plenty of seating only a few people in the restaurant on this Friday afternoon. Great atmosphere, service and quantity and quality of the food. Just a small not the breading on the veal parmigiana was a little over cooked but it didn't overtake the flavor of the veal. Although thin the piece was large and wasn't overcooked either. The fish was also good no fish taste or smell. We talked about it and if we were back in the area we would venture here again for a meal.
The place was alright. The food was alright. Not great not bad just average. I got the garlic and oil fettuccine. I personally really liked the atmosphere. I do feel like the food isn’t worth 80 dollars I would’ve been happy with around 60. I don’t think it’s worth going again but I do recommend to go at least once . Here’s a picture of my leftovers I’m reheating
I ordered a fish fry, and the piece of fish was shockingly small. I really was taken back by the size of the fish. My husband ordered a pasta dish that was good. He ordered a salad because his meal did not come with one, which was surprising. We were charged $6.00 for the salad and an additional $1.50 for blue cheese dressing! $7.50 for a small dinner salad. Dingy atmosphere.
I've ordered at this place a lot and never had a problem, always had delicious food and great quality and prices. The restaurant itself is clean and very nice, quiet place to eat.. I ordered their stuffed peppers the day before yesterday and ate from it for two days in a row and last night I woke up so sick running to the toilet, it wasn't coming up it was coming OUT, if you know what I'm saying... And it wasn't fun, that happened multiple times until I had nothing left in me to come out, I think the meat inside or something made me sick, not exactly sure what else it could possibly have been other than the meat in the stuffed peppers. I've spent lots of money at this place and this time, I'm thoroughly upset and mad that I got sick, currently am sick to my stomach still after eating it. I will not be ordering from here again, unfortunately.. ordered a lot like 1 1/2 2 years ago and quit and just started eating there again and highly disappointed ☹️😞. Be careful if you decide to eat here... Or your bum and belly will pay for it later. This place used to be like top notch and seems like they have cut corners and are doing something wrong. VERY DISAPPOINTED, AS THIS WAS MY GO TO ITALIAN RESTAURANT 😞☹️🚫🛑🧱
I think they went to Italy to get our food! 1.5 hours and food finally came. Tight’en up Canale!
After ordering pizza from here (which is probably one of my favorites for around here) we decided to dine in. While we liked the atmosphere of the inner patio area the service was lackluster for the menu pricing. No empty plates etc. were cleared until the end, no water was refilled, and the few interactions with our waitress felt very rushed (such as aggressively snatching my wife's plate at the very end). My food was decent (really liked my Tuscan chicken, it was cooked well and the sauce and mushrooms were good) baked potatoe was fine but somewhat small in portion. My wife seemed to just think her manicotti was so so. Their house wine got the job done but was nothing to write home about. I expected better service. We went to an Olive garden this past weekend and got better service there but here the basics were not even met.
I've only ever been here once years ago and it was very dark inside. Not much light. The chicken Alfredo was very good. Huge portion. But I wouldn't give it 5 stars. I'd give this place another try before I give it a better rating. I've heard some bad things about this place and a lot of people complaining about the food not being so good. Especially ordering to go. And it being way over priced. It was over 100$ for 3 people to eat here. One meal each. Kinda ridiculous but I would give it another try. And maybe I'll come back with a better review.
Dishes are overpriced for the portion size and quality. Food presentation could be more classy and less salty. The salad that comes with the meal it contains 99.9% lectures, the baked potato was tiny and over cooked & dried out- salad and baked potato quality is compared to a diner service not to a 'fine' restaurant. The chicken Marsala looked like more a soup dish on oily sauce. Servers could go check the customer more often. Outdoor patio is great; live entertainment it's fun to have as long the music doesn't overpowered client's conversation...speakers are a bit too loud. This restaurant has potential, however it needs to upscale more their food quality and presentation to justify its price.
Took wife there for Valentine's Dinner. Sat by windows and was freezing the whole time. No booths or dividers so if the place is packed it's loud and not very intimate. Food was decent, expected more. Topping for the spinach artichoke dip tasted like Cheetos?? That kinda ruined it for me. I wouldn't eat there again.
We were there during parents weekend 10/22/22. The service was great. The food not so much. Suggestion; a good sauce recipe can be found on google. Please find one, it must be fresh. Chicken parmigiana should never consist of a frozen processed patty. Parmesan cheese should be freshly grated and not served in a pizzeria shaker. I’m sure the chef is a really nice guy, learn how to make fresh meals. You’ll see the difference in business.
We were there with a large group the other week. The group wound up being larger than we had anticipated and reserved for. Unfortunately, they couldn't really accommodate more of us, so part of the group sat at the table and part sat at the bar. I totally get that this was an inconvenience for the staff, but the way they responded was not very pleasant. Nothing terrible, just not as nice as I would have hoped, like we were REALLY putting them out by bringing in more people. Be that as it may, the biggest issue was that the food was just not very good. My dish was Okay, my son really didn't like his. He said the fish tasted both old and undercooked. A few of the other people in the group didn't even finish their food. This may have been because they weren't prepared for a large group like us, so I but I can't give them more than 3 stars.
The food was good, the service great. An older light eater of our group was being careful what she ordered. She ordered spaghetti and sauce. Asked if she wanted meatballs and a side salad. The spaghetti was $14.50 - the meat balls $6.00 - the salad $4.50. Total $25 + tip. Other items, including the specials, were better choices for the amount spent. A restaurant tonight in Henderson Harbor has AYCE spaghetti with meat balls or sausage, salad, and a glass of wine for $ 14.50.
Wayyyy overpriced for the quality of food. I ordered Greens and pasta. The pasta was doughy and hardly any greens. Tasted like raw dough and no attempt at proper seasoning. Bill was over $50. Hire a chef that knows Italian food of you're gonna charge that.
No disrespect intended but it's overpriced, mediocre Italian-American. Probably the most bland, flavorless Italian food I've ever eaten.
The service was good as we had a to-go order that was ready by the time we got there and everything was in the bag/box to bring home. However the food taste terrible. Maybe they are known for their red sauce, but their Alfredo and rose sauce was tasteless and the pasta was seconds away from mush and mashed potato like texture. It was honestly the worse Italian I’ve ever had, but they’ve been in business for so long that this place is for someone. Hope they can study and try more recipes for their sauces and cook their pasta better.
Expensive ($100.00 for 3 people w/o drinks. Salad, spaghetti, chicken) , very dry overcooked chicken, noisy upstairs (tenants?)
First off, don't expect "authentic italian." The food tastes alright yeah, but the portions are laughable. This is what 10 dollars of calamari and a 6 dollar caeser salad looks like. I thought just their catering ripped you off but it looks like their regular orders do too. And to top it all off the croutons are stale
A lil late for this review but was in Oswego for family weekend visiting our daughter & thought we would have a nice dinner together & frankly, other than the flat bread app (very good) our meals were just ok. Sorry to say we will not be back.
Overrated. Your average modern Italian restaurant. There’s a lot of loyal local customers. I found it to be blah. The chicken Parm cutlet is a chicken breast cut in half bread it as if it was fried chicken, the breading was so hard the crust and thick it overpowered the thinly pounded out Chicken meat. It was over sauce. I tried to peel off the bread which was sticking to the chicken like glue to only get nasty little bites of chicken so long story short it’s more breading than chicken even though they give you two pieces of the chicken that they cut in half not a good experience Not good Italian food
I’ve just ordered the chicken riggies, as I was taking a few bites I notice something on my pasta, I look closely and find a bug. I’ve ordered from Canales many times before and have never had something like this happen to me. I am slightly in shock still, at this discovery. If I order from Canales again, I will be extra cautious on each bite.
For a place with mediocre pasta, I’d expect the service to at least be acceptable. We ordered out and picked it up ourselves. They neglected the side salads and shorted us on an order of garlic bread. They also neglected to give us the bread that usually comes with all orders. Fine, that’s whatever. What’s not fine is how they reacted when informed. We paid extra for crumbly blue cheese on one of the salads and that was exactly all that was refunded. I’m aware that the salads are part of the meal, meaning they are paid for with the pasta, but they are included in the price. As for the bread, we were informed that “for a whole we simply cut the four pieces in half to make eight” which then allows them to charge double. That’s ridiculous and scammy. As for the food we did receive, I make better pasta and the chicken parm has gotten so thin the breading is thicker. The Alfredo was barely tolerable the first day and much worse the second. All in all, if I wanted my overcooked pasta served with a side of disdain and lies, I’d eat with certain family members. And that one would be free of charge. Your patrons shouldn’t have to dine in to receive proper service. Edit: Given the absolutely ridiculous response, I’ve moved my review down a star. Cutting bread in half DOES NOT constitute charging double.
Attended fathers day brunch. Food was horrible. Sliders were cold, hash browns were very burnt, muffins were dry. I ended up throwing more food out than I ate. Then my bill came and I had $30 charge for orange juice. Do you really need to charge for each glass with the price of the buffet paid. Probably won't be back next year. Will seek another venue for Father's day.
Well I will say my wife got ziti from work today from here there was leftovers alot and the ziti is spoiled and rotten so gross the sauce tastes sour everyone at her work is talking about it but yuk stop serving leftovers in ur freezer man yall gonna make someone sick
We order a lot and the last 4 times something has been wrong with our order. The last 3 times I ordered a pizza the pizza came with the cheese slid off the side e Ed C S Ed. Last night I ordered a salad with shrimp, I told the man on the phone it was to feed 3 people he said to get the salad for 2. It was hardly big enough for 2 much less 3. The salad and a order of fried clams came to $40 I think that was a bit high for that. It wasn’t worth calling about because the last time I did about the pizza they gave me a free one and it came burnt. I’m really disappointed in them. They used to be a great restaurant. I think it will be a while before we go again.
I was there for lunch today with a friend, and there was a very loud, rude, foul mouthed group of patrons in the middle of the dining room. We, or the waiter, could not hear each other. There were several other small groups there. We got our food to go. I felt badly for others who had gone to have a nice lunch, and I felt badly for the staff. It seems to me that management could have done something. We will never try to eat there again.
Ordered prime rib medium rare looked and tasted medium well done and was tough to cut or chew. They did give me a different steak but it was the same medium well, tough had quite a bit of grizzle and fat, hard to cut or chew. It was my first time there and i wasn't impressed.
If you're hungry and your party is small, this is NOT the place to go. The service is terrible. Our waitress ignored us so she could serve a large group (bigger tip) and they got their food long before our party of four. Had to flag down the waitress to get water after sitting there for 15 minutes. A young lady, probably high school age, kept walking by us with a water pitcher, never asking if we wanted any. After 35 minutes and again flagging a waitress, our order was taken. All in all, by the time we got our food, it was almost two hours later, while large party was leaving as we got ours. Food was so-so, nothing to write home about. The young lady came to clean our table after she was flagged down. She never smiled or said a word. Very unfriendly, and we didn't complain at all. This was a Friday night at the outside seating. I get why it wasn't busy. The service is so slow and it shouldn't take forever to place an order.
Honestly, this place does not make their own anything. Frozen-Rosina like meatball. And jarred sauce. Pizza is hyper underwhelming way better at dominos -much more fresh. Anyone responding to these reviews that is working there is going to stay with stock responses to make it appear that they can do something about this. Meatballs will Remain frozen and sauce jarred. Steer clear and enjoy eating ANYWHERE else.
I ordered vodka sauce and what I got was tomato sauce. I make my own vodka sauce which has garlic and cream in it to get that creamy orange color. This dish was just red tomato sauce with onions and chunky tomatoes. Not what I was expecting.
Probably the worst meal I've had here. The pizza was like cardboard. The antipasto was old tasting and wasn't very fresh. We ordered the antipasto and when we got it home it had no meat, just lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers and onions. Called there and had to drive back to get the meat and cheese which were to say the least skimpy. The ham was one slice rolled and cut in half, pepperoni and cheese included. The girl at Canales said that's the amount that goes into a 6-8 person antipasto. Extremely disappointed. That was a $36 dollar antipasto
I cannot believe you let this pizza leave your kitchen like this and then let a customer take it home! The cheese was burnt and the crust was like cardboard. I live in the country and it wouldn't have been worth it to drive in and ask for a replacement. $25 for garbage. Will not be back.
My friend and I ordered the open face ribeye from the lunch special and our wives got lasagna from the regular menu. After waiting almost an hour, my friends ribeye was cold and 60% fat. Mine was very cold. Our water Derek was excellent in resolving the problem. My friend decided to order a Philly steak and cheese instead and when it came, it was completely impalatable. The couple of tablespoons of meat was ground looking and he said had no flavor or cheese. The bun was small and he claimed had a strange flavor. My ribeye was ok, I brought it home to repurpose into a soup, stating I was full. My friend said he did enjoy the cup of soup though.
Second time ordering fixed sauce and getting reg Canale sauce. Was a delivery got no utensils napkins. French fries and no ketchup. Used to be the kitchen manager their. This is unexceptable. That much money for bad food
What is going on here?! Vona's closes, and Canale's is literally the only game in town - and we have frequented Calane's on MANY occasions - this was, for lack of better terms, GARBAGE. Seafood Alfredo - Shrimp was overcooked and tough. Meal was literally drowned in alfredo sauce - I had to drain off 1 1/2 cups just to make it edible. To make matters worse, the alfredo sauce - not REAL alfredo! It actually tasted WORSE than jarred sauce. Chicken Caesar Salad - Lettuce was dark and wilted, and the chicken was just "ok". We are shocked at this extremely poor quality from Canale's and will not be ordering from there again anytime soon. The one-star is for the bread...the only thing that was good.
Terrible chicken riggies. No sauce. Some white cream on it no red sauce, no heat,no salad for.$30 bread but no butter.disgusting! Must have a new cook? Lasagna is terrible also
Wife and I went there to eat Friday at 5pm she ordered eggplant Parmesan and salad,I had prime rib with toss salad and mashed potatoes. Service was great,my salad had house made Italian dressing and wife's salad had house creamy blue cheese the dressings had no flavor wife's pasta had a funny smell and taste was terrible, my mashed potatoes had a weird taste also. We told the waiter and he brought out a to go container of spaghetti and I had a few bites of mashed potatoes, early Saturday morning around 4am both of us had stomach cramps and diarrhea, we tossed all our leftovers in garbage
