We stopped here on vacation for a quick lunch & it was the highlight of our day!!! The staff were super friendly & helpful; the hotdogs were AMAZING & we listened to 90 minutes of the best live band I've heard in a while! The Wharf Rats added a great musical time to the whole experience, which was already EXCELLENT!! 12/10 WOULD RECOMMEND!!!
Hot dogs, beer, and tots with a view. Great music, friendly staff can't beat it. It's not a place to go if you have a picky spouse who wants monterey calamari and clam chowder. This is a "i just spent the day surfing and hiking and need carbs and beer" kind of place.
We were from out of town and we were hungry for hot dogs. Went to web found this place, put in map easy find. This is the best hot dog place ever. We've been telling everyone when you go to Monterey look up Lucy's On Lighthouse. You will not be disappointed ✨️
Great place to eat. Staff is friendly. Great hot dog, tots and root beer float. Multiple hot dogs and sides to choose from.
We were staying at Asilomar and thought we try this place. Arrived around noon and wasn't too busy, but lots of others came in while we ate. Had a hot dog and tater toys. So many options. It was really tasty, and the hostess kept checking to make sure everything was fine. We'll visit again on our next trip.
such a fun place and the food is yummy! Dog Friendly and you can get a plain hot dog for your fur babies. Great patio area with live music on the weekends!
This was our first visit at Lucy’s. The service is very friendly and the authentic surf shack atmosphere is awesome! Lots of interesting choices on the menu. I ordered the Cliff House Hotdog. And, Oh! My! God! In all my years, this was the best gourmet style hotdog I’ve EVER eaten! I happen to enjoy real sauerkraut and they add real sauerkraut to this hotdog. The best hotdog anywhere, ever! We will be back!!
Love the food and the hot Cheetos I started licking the plate, I also wanna say how great the cook was. His name is Andreas from what people were saying. He’s got talent. My hot dog was literally a work of art. If I could take him home I would, he is so sweet.
Loved this joyful place to eat. Friendly staff, inspired menu, great vibe. Music on the patio, lots of people enjoying the scene. Fast service, good price. Something for everyone in their fun menu. Make sure you enjoy the Brussels sprouts! Rocking dogs and tots and taking it to a new level. A must for all visitors.
Hip little place, stopped in for a delicious ice cream. We sat at the picnic table roadside and they let us have our dog sit with us. The owner came out with water for our dog. So sweet. Ice cream was awesome. Thanks. Love the outside dinning area. All the best. Cheers!
10/10 good times. We were looking for a spot to hang out with our dog and have a beer after going to the aquarium and this place delivered spectacularly. Really friendly service and a delicious mocha stout float with a chocolate stout and espresso shot over Marianne's ice cream. Cool surfy skater vibes inside and out. Good music playing quietly enough to easily have a conversation over. We'll definitely return next time we're in the area.
this place is great for hanging out on a lazy day. live music on the weekends, custom orders online, and some pretty good milkshakes too.
Delicious hotdogs with lots of topping options!! Such a fun vibe, great place to hang out.
Very friendly staff and amazing homemade ice cream! The atmosphere is cool. It’s a very unique spot to have lunch or dinner. Very memorable.
The service is exceptional and the hot dogs, tots and brussel sprouts are out of this world. I'm a regular these days and never disappointed. 10 out of 10 every time.
Cute hot dog spot with some great coffee and ice cream!
Lucy's is a great place. The hot dogs are delicious and there are so many to choose from. We will be going back with our whole family.
Wow best hot dog ever... Amazing staff great location
Love this quirky spot for coffee and live music. They have excellent ice cream, hot dogs and tater tots, too.
Fun place with a lot of options f9r your classic hot dog. The tater tots were also good. We sat outside where they had patio heaters and fire pits to relax and enjoy your dinner or ice cream dessert.
Great little restaurant and has an interesting menu. Gourmet hot dogs and amazing balsamic glazed crunchy brussels sprouts. The service is quick, friendly and clean. The only thing I didn’t fully understand or support is the disposable plates and cutlery. I noticed most of the US fast food restaurants are doing this and since this place didn’t feel like fast food I was surprised by it.
I love Lucy’s PG! My favorite is the Mac n cheese and a side of tots. The staff is always so sweet and fun. Fast service and good vibes. If you’re going on a Saturday you may struggle to park due to the volume of people but their service and food never lacks.
Super fun, classy hotdog and shake joint, in a surf/skate shack styling w/ a really nice patio area. Great food; the "tangy slaw" was a masterful, coarse chopped, mixture of red and green cabbage. The house chili was very good...if I recall it was the "Reefs" dog. The shakes we tried were great; quite impressed with the blackberry and also by the sheer number of offerings. The place just has good vibes; very friendly staff and (regular) customers alike. ...I must have been too tired to notice Kimchi on the menu before ordering and was a little heartbroken (until next time) hearing that it can be added to any menu item.
would give this place 10 stars if i could. Lucy’s successfully brought me back to my days at camp, as well as my childhood fixation on hibiscus iced tea (10/10). the dogs on the patio were amazing, and so were the hot dogs. if you do anything before you die, get the brussel sprouts. staff was so kind, vibes were incredible. i love lucy 🩵
I got a vanilla milkshake and a hot dog with *mac and cheese* on top. Stopped here after going diving in Monterey with a friend. It certainly isn't an every-day meal but a well-deserved treat. Lots of outdoor seating, gender neutral restrooms (I thought the sign was funny), and a fun skater theme. We also met the owner and she was very friendly. Her name is not Lucy though, Lucy is her dog.
So Lucy’s was a complete accident! I was looking for a barbecue place for a tri-tip sandwich! And the 10 best places on yo how Lucy’s on the list as a barbecue spot, So I decided to travel all over! When I get there, the scenery was real different! In a very good way though! Family, friendly and very inviting! I walk in and I see the menu. The menu mostly consisted of hotdogs! But not just regular hotdogs like gourmet fully loaded hotdogs! They had all beef hotdog from Nathan‘s, which was the actual place to me because I don’t eat pork! There were so many choices And the Young lady behind the counter, made a few suggestions and we ended up landing on something in between what she suggested Of course that wasn’t really on the menu😂 Nevertheless, she made it happen effortlessly and was so sweet! She asked for my name for the order and told me they called my name out once my order was ready. I decided to go back outside because the decor was very interesting with the surfboards and everything! Side Note: when my order was ready, she ended up bringing it out to me! With utensils and napkins! And even ask if there was anything else I needed Just overall super great service! It seems like a really nice family friendly place! A good place also to meet up with friends. I have a few good IPAs!! Even though it’s not what I wanted originally It ended up being a fire! 🔥 I literally had to stop to take a picture of what was left cause I went in as soon as I sat Down it smells so good and looks so good! 10 out of 10 definitely recommend! Last thoughts: Whoever served me today at that counter was amazing! Her energy and sweetness actually brighten my day! If everyone that walks into Lucy‘s experiences, what I experience today…. Be prepared to have A better day!
Visiting from out of state, driving down to Big Sur from San Francisco for the day... Looking for someplace unique to stop for lunch. Lucy's on Lighthouse was perfect! Loved all the different dog options - so creative and everything was delicious. Mocha shake was 👍👍 Loved the tots, tried several versions. So fun to sit outside at tables under the trees, great vibe. Only wish we could have stayed for live music just starting up! Must be so great at night with the lights and a fire pit.
Nice spot to stop when walking the beach. Ordered the peak dog and it was a nice blend of flavors that complimented each other.
Pulled into Pacific Grove for lunch while heading home to Napa, and remembered about this great little restaurant there..Lucy's Lighthouse, and a quick Google search pulled me right to the spot! A quick look at what was on the other tables showed a large variety of options, and everything looked amazing. I came in wanting a classic cheeseburger or maybe a BLT but I saw some amazing hotdogs on a couple of other tables, so that's where I went! It was a great choice, because those dogs were Spectacular! 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆
Who knew there would be so many hot dog combination options with fun namesI don’t like hot dogs but we were hungry so I ordered the one with Mac and cheese to play it safe. Honestly, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. These things are huge and I couldn’t finish it but my husband did - he ordered a spicy concoction and loved it. We added a side of Brussels sprouts that was also huge. Again, amazing - so much so I bought Brussels sprouts at the store for us to try to duplicate the ones at Lucy’s. We are fans!
We are visiting from out of state and our local friends kept telling us that we needed to go get Brussel Sprouts at Lucy’s. Glad we listened! The roasted sprouts are exceptionally delicious, the Tater Tots are offered with a variety of tasty toppings, the coleslaw is yummy, and….you can finish up with an ice cream treat. Everything was fantastic. The proprietor was friendly and welcoming, the staff was efficient, and the outdoor patio dining area is dog friendly and offers games for young visitors. Highly recommend. :)
My wife and I were headed to a Starbucks when my wife spied a cool, local cafe across the street. We were just going to get drinks but found a huge menu of hot dog and tater tots derivations. My wife and I ordered lavender honey lattes and a tater tot dish with pulled pork, furikake and a special sauce. Omg so good! The latte was delicious and the tater tots were so yummy. What a great idea to top tater tots with different toppings like chili or pulled pork. Check out their menu to see all the yummy choices. Lucy’s also has a ton of hot dog menu choices as well. The service was prompt and pleasant. I would recommend this place passing through Asilomar.
I love this place. I happened to be staying across the way and was told by a friend to check it out. Having grown up down here during some prime skateboarding/punk rock years (late nineties), this place exemplifies the lifestyle and the vibe. I would stop by for espresso in the am and a yummy breakfast bowl. Really cool digs, great outdoor area and super friendly service. Your kids will love it and so will you.
local gem, great spot to hang inside or out, so glad we found it…fun selection of custom dogs and other options; Marianne’s Ice Cream a huge bonus, and nice hospitality
Coming to California to visit Monterey bay I never thought a place that wasn’t sea food would end up being one of my favorite spots for dinner. Service is so friendly! Seems to be family owned. There is both inside and outside seating. Such a fun environment and the food is so tasty! We ordered the Ollie’s tots, grom dogs and the lovers point dog! And you have to get Lucy’s sauce!
The kiddo and I went here for lunch today. The hot dogs were good and the tots were really good! We even went back later for ice cream later on that night, also good! The folks working there were super friendly and the vibe of the place is really fun. With the all skateboard and surfing stuff along with the music playing it felt like we were in a Tony Hawke ProSkater video game.
“Artisan hot dogs? Why would I want that?” You fool. You have no idea how powerful this place is. I had one of the best dogs of my life. I had a beer. I had a milkshake. I had two beers. The sun was shining, the music was live, the dogs were out. Nirvana was found.
I stopped by today on a whim. Needless to say I left very happy! The food was delicious and fresh, I had a hot dog and some loaded tots which I can't remember the names for. However I can say that the food got me full completely (I'm 6'8 and 380 lbs). They were also very friendly about my little dog, although she's well behaved. This place is a must stop! You will not be disappointed, however do check the times they are open because I think the waiter said Thursday through Sunday.
Although we moved out of state this is a go-to when we visit. Lucy’s is fresh and delicious. A hidden treasure worth the detour for a fabulous meal.
Really great choices of hot dogs and sides, fairly priced and incredibly tasty. Never had such a juicy sausage before, good sauces and toppings.
Best place in Pacific Grove to eat. The owner is so friendly and caring. Staff are friendly and helpful. The brussel sprouts are so crispy and delicious. The otters dog is my son's favorite.
My new "go-to"!!! This place sings to my heart and stomach. My family loves the food here! All the different toppings for your dog makes it easy for your pickiest eater find just the right ingredients
This skateboarding themed eatery is legit, no cap just high-quality finger food. First the hot dogs are top shelf no matter how you dress them up. I tried pulled pork and grilled onions on my bacon wrapped dog. I was impressed by the pulled pork and believe that this one item could feed 2 people. Of course I had to try the corn dogs, crunchy sweet outer layer big juicy dog inside. Next I am not a big fan of tater tots however these were probably the best tots I have ever had. They are big crunchy outside soft inside basically perfect tots. Tots take the place of fries here, not my choice but definitely tasty and come in a variety of flavors. I got a blunt, that's code for coleslaw and it was delicious not to sweet, just simple delicious coleslaw, perfect to break up the calorie fest 😋. I didn't try the Brussel sprouts but they are very popular here and the ice cream options are highly rated as well. Very clean establishment, nice outside tables wrapped around the building. They had very pleasant 80s and 90s music, my favorite playing over the speakers inside and out. Weekends they have live music outside on the patio. I'm a skatborder for life and seeing pictures of the ramp I helped build and skated with close friends up on the wall at Lucy's was a surprise and brought back memories. Watching so many locals coming in for grub was great, children seem to love this place. So if you are reading this stop wondering and just go. One last thing yes grom dogs are 3 dollars however most items are priced to match the quality they deliver.
Lucy's is a fun place for lunch, dinner, or brunch, which is also offered on Saturday and Sunday mornings. They have limited hours, so be sure and check before going. This is the place to get your hotdog fix!! They are delicious and offered many ways! Great with a side of tots. The ice cream is yummy, too. Lucy's offers inside and outside seating. They often have live music on the weekends. Check their website for times and who will be performing. This is a must stop as you venture through Pacific Grove.
If you don't like hotdogs don't bother. The menu revolves around the second-best food item, (Bacon is first, and available on a lot of the dogs.) I had a Ghost Tree dog with Tater tots, chili, and nacho cheese. My wife had a Lovers Point dog with bacon guacamole and various vegies. The service was excellent as was the food. We ate outdoors in a nice patio. Apparently, there is a veggie dog available, but I ask why would you go to a hotdog place and not eat the real thing?
Awesome awesome place!! Amazing Friday night vibes with live music. Love their food. Totally coming back!!🫠🤩
Excellent juicy, tasty hot dogs. They were perfectly cooked but thicker than a usual hot dog, more like a dinner frank. Tots were crispy and tender. Wife enjoyed the Brussels sprouts (I’m not a fan of any Brussels sprouts). We will definitely be back to try a shake and a beer next time.
Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 11 am- 7 pm, this place can be your vibe. It mostly features hot dogs and tater tots, but what a variety of toppings and combos! Plus ice cream & milkshakes. Today there was a live jazz band. Cool.
We love this place! We are from fresno, california, but we come here every single time we are in monterey Which is quite often. The Dick Verde, aka balsamic Brussel sprouts, are amazing. Everything from the tots to the dogs and coffee are fire! Please come sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere and music. Plus, the prices are a constant.
Fun place in PG for unique hot dogs and treats! The hot dogs are pretty big and very good. We got a side of the balsamic Brussel sprouts, also good. We played corn hole while we jammed to the 80s rock they were playing.
Best Hotdog everything! Mac and cheese with brisket to die for and the Brussels sprouts OMG. Definitely recommend it.
Recommended by friends and we knew of it from driving by and wanting to check out their outdoor seating. The selection of hot dogs was amazing. From Mac and cheese, pulled pork to kimchi, you’ll find things you never even knew you’d love on a hot dog. The dogs all by themselves are delicious! Do not, DO NOT skip the tots! Crispy and the toppings are fantastic. We also had the Brussels sprouts. We look forward to returning here again!
Loved everything about it from the moment we pulled into the parking lot. One, it has its own lot. The vibe starts there. One side of lot is lined with surf boards with , some with sayings. Leave your car and walk through the outdoor shaded patio with lots of seating. This place was hopping. Walk through the door there is so much to look at. The menu boards include hot dogs all kinds of ways, tots with all the toppings, coffee drinks, ice cream, and one of my favorites , hibiscus tea. Order at the counter and take a seat. They bring your food out. Music playing, busy. You can tell people are enjoying just being there. But this dog.....I ordered the Lover's Point, so goooood! I was hungry so you have to weigh that in but no doubt , yummo! Also had the kick flip, not quite as good as the dog but still worth a go. Service was fast and friendly. Definite recommend if you like dogs, tots, I e cream or coffee drinks.

Omg, they had one of my original skateboards from the early 80s hanging on the wall along with a bunch of other super cool memorabilia. There is a very hip energy inside and outside. The ice cream was absolutely amazing and we're going back for some of the food
Everyone working there was having a very fun time very interactive with the customers. There were regulars called by name and as it was my first time, I was greeted warmly. The place is very clean and well kept. The things they’ve created with a hot dog are delicious. Definitely going to make it a regular place now.

Cute place, dog friendly, the live music was great. The hot dogs were decent- the bun couldn’t hold up to everything piled on the dog plus the dog itself was more like a brat, but instead of being grilled it was boiled…not my fave. I prefer my hot dogs “snappier”. The chili on the dog, tots & lemonade was great. Next time, I’ll probably get a hot dog that’s simpler (had a chili cheese monstrosity), so it’s not so much going on at once.
Great vibe to this place. Nice staff, very clean and the music was really good. The menu offers a lot of choices and features Nathan's dinner size hot dogs. I had the Reefs which came with house made chili, slaw and Tabasco onion strings. Really liked it and the bun was great but didn't hold together well because of the chili and slaw. Forks and knives at the table. One suggestion. Offer a low sodium dog. Everything a bit salty. Otherwise, 5 stars.
Great atmosphere and I love the vibe it has. I had the Peaks Dog, the roasted brussel sprouts, and a mermaid mimosa. I also tried a scoop of the chiquita ice cream. It was sooooo good. I didn't like the bun, it did a poor job at holding everything in. I sadly lost my hot dog due to that. However, the rest of the toppings were so good, I only missed the dog a little.
Great little spot for hot dogs and snacky food. Dogs are large and tasty. Corn dogs are a bargain and delicious. Tots were good, Brussels sprouts were ok but too bitter and soggy. Ice cream had good flavors and was delicious. Pretty noisy inside including one of the employees hanging out with her friends. Outside seating was cool but it was a little chilly to be out there. Overall I’d recommend for a quick bite.
We visited the place on a saturday afternoon, it had customers but was not crowded. We sat outside on the sun, which was very pleasant. We ordered a hotdog and a pulled pork meal, totally paid around 30 usd. Overall the place is very charming and charismatic. Be ready that this is a fast food place, forget about healthy food here, even though they have a vegetarian sausage option :)))
Surf and skateboard hot 🔥 dogs and ice cream 🍦 stop, lots of options and some sides. Chili 🌶 cheese 🧀 dog was good, tots and sauce were very good. Parking 🅿 is limited, street parking is available. Took a bit of time for the order to arrive. Small band setting up for a live venue.
Dropped by this restaurant this afternoon for a lunch visit after hearing great things. Both my husband and I very much enjoyed our dogs. Chili meat on the Dunes was a bit overcooked (burnt bits) and the hot Cheetos dust on the Otters are definitely a little stale. We enjoyed our meal (tots were indeed crispy and tasty) and would return if in the area. Agree with other reviews that the meal is pricey (40 bucks for two people is pretty steep for two hot dogs and tater tots). Response: typically I don’t do this, but sure, let’s go. Yeah ok, we ordered two cans of soda too. The shady correction on the pricing is still shady. We paid $40. Sales tax is real, but it’s like a $10 hot dog. Given that the chili was burnt and toppings stale, I think that’s important in the review. I know you won’t really miss us, but all the same we’ll forego coming back. Happy new year.
Loved the kitsch! Surfboards and skateboards dominate the decor. The hot dogs were good, but came out lukewarm. Dog friendly.
The hot dogs are tasty, thick, and served with a wide array of toppings! You should leave full, but your wallet will be a little lighter. The four of us (including a 7 year old) were in for almost $80 with water to drink.

Brought here by an in-law who doesn't know that I don't like hot dogs. I can't fault the restaurant for that. I looked for alternatives and found tater tots. Trying to eat healthy so kept looking and was happy I found Brussel sprouts. Hubby ordered while I saved a table so I didn't ask questions... like, "how long do you keep those beautiful little veggies deep in the fryer to remove any resemblance of a Brussel sprout?" :-( I ended up picking them apart to find small pieces in the center of some that were not crisp beyond recognition. I'd ordered chili also for some form of protein and found little chunks of hot dogs in it. Yuck! Now, the rest of the family chowed down loved the food and had a great time but, if you want to eat even semi-healthy, I Do Not recommend this place.
Nice outdoors seating. Some indoor seating as well. Serving mainly hotdogs with various toppings. They have Mac and Cheese and some sides
A fun place with lots of creative hot dogs, sides, and ice cream and coffee, so why 3 stars? 1) it's pricy! $12 average for a small dog, with no sides or drink? 2) only a sub-par (soft boiled tasteless) veggie dog as an alternative non beef option. How about turkey dogs for those that don't want to eat red meat or intelligent animals? 3) it's SLOW! It took 20-30 minutes for 2 hot dogs, lemonade took 15 minutes to come out. I want to love this place, and I'm willing to revisit and come back, but some basic changes would have to happen to have it live up to its huge potential as a cool, fun locals hang-out for the area!

Great dog. But super rude staff supposedly the manager ruined the meal. We asked to have a different dog because my sister didn't like the chili. She got laughed at, and then told she could buy a replacement. We had just bought meals for 8 people. And we're gonna buy 8 ice creams. We won't returned and will tell others from the area not to come. The staff member should be fired. My sister left in tears, shameful.
Coldest hotdogs in town! 20 minute wait for a cold hotdog. Threw more than half of it out in the garbage because now I'm not too sure it was fully cooked! Also had maybe a Tea Spoon of condiments. 80% plain just bun and hotdog.
