What a swanky breakfast spot! Lots of special items on the menu. Beware the steelcut oats don’t say cinnamon but after preferring I discovered they have “ just a little cinnamon if you’re allergic that’s unexceptionable #allergygirl. They quickly made it right by bringing me my second choice buttermilk, corn pancakes with fresh blueberries. You can’t taste the kernels of corn but they give it a little crunch which I enjoyed. They serve real maple syrup which of course is delicious! I tried two kinds of bacon : regular and turkey. The regular bacon was crispy and the turkey was not but it was tasty. I tried the cheddar biscuit which was savory and perfect with butter.
Every year on my birthday, I come toPalm Springd and make sure to have breakfast at this café. The food is consistently delicious, the service is truly warm and welcoming, and the whole experience always feels special. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the area!
Came here 8am on a Friday morning, surprisingly no wait! I was seated almost instantly for outside under a heater, which was nice. Service was excellent: super friendly, super helpful, and super fast. Time from sitting down to food being served was only 20 mins! Highly recommend stopping by for brunch if you are in the area. Will definitely try to come again.
The most cordial, friendly & attentive staff made my visit perfect. I enjoyed a perfectly cooked grass fed beef hamburger that was served on a light, delicious bun. I added a generous portion of avacado. It was perfect. We drove about 1,000 miles to Palm Springs. This burger did not disappoint!
My favorite restaurant in Palm Springs! We went with a big group and the service was excellent. Fast, friendly and super attentive. The food was amazing, I honestly can't wait to go back to try more dishes. We had a few people with gluten allergies and our server was quick to accommodate everyone. The cocktails were by far the best we had all weekend. Overall, such a great experience from start to finish!
I been coming to Cheeky’s for 4 years. Every time I touch down I come straight to Cheeky’s and I’ll eat here every morning during my time in PS. The food is amazing and consistent in flavor and presentation. Even if I come here once a year the food is always good. I like how they do switch up the menu but keep the fan favorite like blondie Benedict. The drinks are good here too. The servers are hard workers each and every one of them. They are attentive and will take care of you. The rest of staff like food runners and busers work hard and will take care of you too if you need something. I appreciate the hospitality aspect of this place. Cheeky’s is a PS staple and I’m so glad it’s standing well today.
Amazing place to get breakfast. We were expecting a wait but alas, we were seated right away. That was a good sign of things to come. I had the breakfast quesadilla and my friend had the buttermilk and corn pancakes. Both excellent choices but I suspect the whole menu is delicious. They have flight of bacon! I feel obliged to get them and had not regrets. The fresh orange juice was also a great choice. Service was friendly, the atmosphere jovial and the music at a volume that did not hinder our conversation. I'm ready to go back on my next visit.
Nice place. Mostly outdoor seating with some indoor seating. Place gets pretty crowded, which means it’s really popular. So you must get there early so you don’t have to wait online to get in. A bit on the pricey side for breakfast. Party of three with one meal each, copy your tea, each and one cinnamon roll and a side of turkey bacon, $100 bucks including tip. The food was tasty, but nothing to really write home about. Service was very good, atmosphere, open air outdoor seating was great for an early morning meal. Although, seating can get very crowded with minimal spacing between chairs. All in all, it’s worth a try at least once, so that you can make up your own mind about the place.
This place has amazing food and wonderful staff. We vacationed in Palm Springs for three days and we ate here twice. The food is vibrant and flavorful, with high quality ingredients, and complimenting textures. You can tell that this is a decent place to work because the staff are friendly, but not in a fake way, and are genuinely happy to be there. The food is reasonably priced for the quality and quantity. Make sure you get a flight of bacon so you can taste all the homemade flavors they are featuring that season. The truffle bacon was AMAZING.
Great food, great atmosphere (with solid views of the mountains) and friendly staff make this a go-to spot for Breakfast. We tried it two days in a row and were pleasantly surprised to see they switched out menu items. Looking forward to trying out their lunch offering. If you like pastries and cinnamon, definitely get one of their Cinnamon Rolls. The dough is just right and they’re large enough to share. The fresh juices were just right, not too concentrated or watered down.
Delicious breakfast on two occasions. Very pleasant and comfortable patio seating and fast service. Gluten free waffles are delicious but note if celiac they are made on the same iron as the regular ones. Winter hash was very tasty and filling. Would go back!
Found out about this restaurant cause it’s listed on the Michelin Guide. We had a group of 6 on a Saturday morning around 9:30, it was packed! There was a 30 minute wait so we just went shopping while we waited to get a text that our table was ready. They don’t take reservations. We got seated on the patio. There were a few flies which kind of got annoying as we’re sitting there talking, having to swat them away. I wish they had fly fans to deflect flies away from food. The food though, delicious!! The whole group enjoyed their food. Half of us got the sourdough french toast, the other half got the fall hash. I got the hash and it did not disappoint! Armando provided amazing service! Overall, we enjoyed our time here.
Pros: The service was great, our waitress was kind and gave us recommendations. She was also checking in on us, which we always appreciate! Cons: The food is good, but not for the price.. honestly what really irked me was how they watered down the hot sauces and how they added the “kitchen appreciation.” tip without letting you know prior to. You can decline it, but I didn’t know until after I went to their website to find out. Then it becomes a whole thing. Just have it as an option or I don’t know, pay your staff a livable wage? I don’t understand restaurants making the consumer feel obligated to pay their workers.. As a PS local, the food in this area is overpriced and this place particularly has been overpriced since I can remember. It’s basic food, nothing crazy here.. with that said, I would come back for their cold brew. That was really good.
Nice atmosphere service was good. I had a chicken sandwich and it was ok but nothing special My wife had the poached egg steak bowl. It was bland and had too little Hollandaise sauce. No real beer selection which is not a big deal but we went there for lunch. I was expecting better food. I do t think it’s worth the visit.
First-time visiting. Went on a Monday at 1:17pm. I discovered this restaurant through the Michelin Guide and chose it to celebrate my son’s birthday, as he enjoys burgers and bacon and this establishment appeared to offer both. Upon arrival, we were seated within a few minutes; however, it took a noticeable amount of time before anyone attended to our table. Although we arrived approximately 45 minutes before closing, I expected consistent customer service from a Michelin Guide–listed restaurant. The staff member who took our order did make a kind gesture by providing my son with a Mickey Mouse–shaped pancake, which was appreciated. The restaurant also offers a military discount, which I acknowledge and appreciate. That said, overall service felt rushed and only average. We ordered a variety of things but our order of the string fries and sweet potato fries both came out barely warm & this is where I realized I won’t be coming back. Fries are not meant to arrive barely warm. Additionally, staff began cleaning the floors while we were still eating, and the strong odor of cleaning products negatively affected the dining experience. The restroom was also not maintained to an acceptable standard. While the food itself was good and the location is convenient, the overall experience did not meet the expectations associated with a Michelin Guide–recognized restaurant. For these reasons, I am giving this restaurant three stars, as the customer service and atmosphere did not reflect Michelin-level standards.
Had breakfast here with a large group and it was good but nothing profoundly great. I ordered the bacon flight and it was okay. It was just bacon covered or dipped in different seasonings / toppings. The fruit plate was nice though ! I would highly recommend that the restaurant consider investing in fly fans for their tables. We noticed another table over had a fly fan for their table and we asked if they had more, but ends up they had brought their own … the flies were a bit annoying if you’re sitting outside.
What a painfully average experience! I came today, sat, waited about 10 minutes for water, another 10 for a menu, and another 20 to get an order in. It wasn’t busy. There were empty tables the entire time. When I did get service, it was an extremely underwhelming experience, even an awkward exchange one could argue. No smiles on the servers faces. The flies are bad outside, same with the leaf drop, the heat doesn’t help either, there were no indoor seats but we wanted to try cheeky’s cuisine nonetheless and unfortunately the service did not make up for these minor environmental outdoor dining factors. The food, was not bad, was just nothing special whatsoever. Nothing struck me, nothing had crazy flavors, nothing was truly appropriately priced based on portion, nothing was plated pretty. Our server mentioned that one component of the dish we had ordered, was out of stock after we had ordered it..however he didn’t offer any substitutions, and when we did ask for a substitution, his suggestion was totally outlandish and strange. Feta on a Mexican dish suggestion..hmm. Good luck Cheeky’s.
Upon walking in, we were told to see ourselves. I told would be brought my ears. The waitress eventually got back to us, realizing that there was no menus and we had not had our order taken for beverages or food or anything. This is after approximately 15 minutes. The restaurant was not busy. We very awkwardly switched service because she forgot about us and that was kind of the vibe the rest of the time. The food was pretty good. Wasn’t the best. My girlfriend says it was average and nothing to write home about so we’re gonna add that. My Son Kept having leaves fall in his food. And there was a lot of flies. Low energy energy
I had high expectations for this breakfast spot since it was featured in a few guides, but it didn’t quite live up to the hype. The place itself is nice, but it was a rainy day, so we had to sit inside—nothing special, and I get the feeling the real vibe is outside (though I can’t say for sure). Service was friendly and attentive, which was a plus. The food was just okay. The breakfast quesadilla tasted like something you could easily make at home, and while the Benedict was good with a housemade biscuit, it felt a bit heavy. Prices were reasonable, but I left feeling like the experience lacked that special breakfast moment. It wasn’t terrible, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to recommend it.
Ordered the Huevos Rancheros with the eggs cooked medium over and they stuffed up the order and made them severely runny and under cooked. Asked them to fix it and they brought a plate back freshly made but with the eggs STILL UNDERCOOKED AND RUNNY! Amazing servers but I think the kitchen was either ignoring the request or just didn’t care. The drinks were good and great staff service, but the kitchen on the other hand…
I guess this place is hit or miss based on other reviews. Came in for breakfast and sat outside. I originally thought the hostess waved us over to a 4 top but she promptly moved us to a 2 top table (fine since we’re a party of 2), but she made a point to state 2 people couldn’t sit at a 4 top. Moments later a single person was seated at a 4 top 🤷🏼♀️ I got the tomato frittata and it was definitely more of a scramble than frittata. Eggs were well done, the tomato was not cooked into the “frittata”…there were just chunks of tomato on top, cheese was not melted. I also got the hashbrowns and they did not taste fresh, definitely frozen. My husband got the juice (overpriced and small IMO) and the quesadilla. He said the quesadilla was good. I did let our server know that the frittata did not meet my expectations (I also only had a bite or 2). She was very apologetic and did remove it from our check and offered to bring me a cinnamon roll. The place is cute, but you can’t eat that. We ended up going to Palm Greens Cafe and had a much better experience there.
Seated quickly, but only to be met with a constant fight with flies. I was accosted by flies the entire meal. And what a shame because the outdoor sesting is so inviting. Ordered a mimosa and it was so disappointing. Super tiny and it was just barely ok. Food was meh. I had to send the bacon back to be cooked more and the buttermilk and corn pancakes couldn't be more icky. They do mean corn. Like actual corn kernels. The server was so blase throughout our entire visit...not friendly at all. Not sure how this restaurant could be considered as having a jovial and friendly staff. I wouldn't ever visit again.
Really disappointed, ordered a grapefuit juice and they served me a bubbly grapefuit alcohol drink and barely apologized for it. Such a bad mistake. “Market” fruits plate is $13 and all you get is not fresh, almost rotten tasteless fruits. Eggs and bacon was good as well with the buttermilk waffle but nothing worth the detour imo.
