Easily the best burger joint in town

We came in on the 4th right after the parade, just like a lot of other did. We did a curbside order and ended up going in to get the order because it was taking a little longer than usual. There were three staff members in total. Despite the bs of them being there by themselves on a day that I’m sure management knew was gonna be busy, they were very pleasant and very sweet. Smiled through all the chaos and did the absolute beat they could. I didn’t get names. But, they deserve a raise. Whataburger schedule planner, plan better for busy days. Especially on the 4 th of July when there’s supposed to be a parade. Shoutout to those staff members there today. You’re doing good. I hope you see these.

READ WHOLE REVIEW The 5 stars is only applicable on nights Chris is working. He's an angel. He works the drive through, brings out the food, takes the orders, and is such a polite human being. He alone practically runs the show. If anyone important sees this Chris is your guy, he's incredible. The nights and days he's not there I'd give it a 2 at best. The burgers are gross, the fries are cold, the service is lackluster.

I went to whataburger today on my lunch break and as soon as I got home I realized they had put the wrong burger in the bag. I called and spoke with a staff member who was very polite and professional and told me just to bring it back and they would get it worked out for me. As soon as I got there the manager greeted me, confirmed the issue and immediately had my food remade. I will admit I was very disappointed when I bit into my burger and it wasn’t what I had ordered but the way the staff handled it and their attitudes really did make a huge difference.

Love the food. I got the triple cheeseburger with a strawberry malt and large fries. Good stuff.

It’s Whataburger. Plain and simple. You’re not getting this kind of good stuff at In-N-Out Burger. The burgers are bigger, juicier, and actually taste like a real meal. The menu’s got options too — spicy ketchup, patty melts, breakfast at 2 a.m., all of it. Every time I go, it’s hot, fresh, and made the way I order it. Texas just does burgers different. Sorry, but this ain’t even a fair fight. 🍔

We drove 90 miles for this meal we had! Hot, fresh and full of flavor. Clean and spotless. I visited a brand new Whataburger in Kansas on a trip recent and it was trash! People can replicate but never reproduce what Texas has!

I want to give it a full 5 star review. But, sometimes the different shifts are not all the same as far as attitude and customer service goes. Consistency would be great, 24/7 but we do not exist in a perfect world. So 4 stars, it is. The food is great, always hot and fresh, condiments and napkins are always full and stocked.

Overall fun atmosphere and good prices. Was able to get a beer, soda, and a Moscow Mule for $13. I wish they would of had food available as some fried pickle spears would of made this a 5 star experience. Also some more comfortable outdoor seating would of been nice. Over all I'd suggest as a good hangout spot for friends.

Been five years since my last visit to whataburger and been craving the patty melt, onion rings and a shake. Patty melt, Onion rings were delicious. The shake machine was broken so no go. Need to fix that. Service was average a bit slow but the delicious food made up for it.

I received an order with raw meat, probably a short staffed grill like everywhere else, but when I called the store they were very helpful, respectful & took care of the issue quickly. That's not common so I was thankful for the quick resolution.

It was clean and the staff friendly. Not as slow as usual. They had no toliet paper or paper towels in the bathrooms, instead they had napkins. The napkin dispenser was empty. I was told they were out at least all day. Owner brought TP in at 2pm and just set it on the counter. At least the limited sweet and spicy burger was great! As far as food prep goes, I hear it's one of the cleanest places in the kitchen. We all like to hear that! So while they may run out of things on the weekend, or short staffed from time to time, the food is good and the kitchen taken care.

This Whataburger location i visited while on my way home from a Galveston vacation, literally shocked me. I am used to lazy workers, messed up orders, cold food with unapologetic employees. The employees all greeted us and waited on us politely. The employee who brought us our food also came back to check on us. We had 1 double with cheese, large fries and drink, 1 single with cheese, onion rings and medium drink. Everything was hot, fresh and very good tasting. The employees were out in the lobby sweeping the floor and wiping down the tables when not serving patrons. Unlike the employees in Tulsa, OK. They stand behind the counter or behind the wall and text on their phones and ignore everyone in line. Tulsa location at 41st and skelly drive needs some training from you all. Thanks for the experience. Now we know why we go back. We miss how it used to be.

We stopped there for a quick lunch. The staff was friendly and brought our food to our table. The burgers were good. The onion rings were so greasy you couldn't even taste the onion. I couldn't eat them.

Had to lower my rating, we arrived just as a dinner rush was starting (around 5pm) but the older lady on the register I assume was new, she seemed to be confused on several people's orders, the manager wound up actually taking our order, he got it right with no problem other than my wife wanted Onion rings and wound up with French Fries. But at least he rang it up that way, even though that's not what she ordered... The quality of the sandwiches was good but the fries, we feel could have stayed in the frier a little longer they seemed a little raw tasting.... 2 people eating at a fast food restaurant for $30 still blows me away though, but in all fairness Whataburger is the best Fast Food available.

My pie had paper on it and the manager gave me a new hot pie. Very nice man. My suggestions for this restaurant though are not to mop the entire lobby at 9:30 pm. Almost threw my back out trying to walk to the counter. I've never been to a Whataburger so I really have nothing else to say.

The building and name grabbed our attention as we were traveling through. I told my friend we had to try it. We made a special trip before we left so we didn't miss out. It was meh at best. I ordered a chocolate shake, and they gave me a vanilla shake. We caught it immediately and they were nice and put chocolate in it. Then they didn't give a straw so we had to ask for one. The shake was good. It was a good consistency not too thick you couldn't drink it. We were really hungry after a long day outside. Unfortunately the fries were old and only slightly warm. The onion rings were crispy. I was really looking forward to the sandwich. I got the bacon and my friend got the jalapeno. They switched up the meals in the bag so we almost got the wrong sandwiches. I was so hungry, but the sandwich didn't live up to the name of the place. It felt more like Whatashame. The service was super friendly and we didn't wait long. The big W got us in there with the unusual graphic design. We won't make any special trips next time we travel.

Needed cream and sugar for my coffee, the sugar was hardened in the packets. I asked for extra creamer only got 3 total. my coffee was not drinkable didn't realize the issue until I got back to my hotel. So I dumped the coffee.

I ordered a BBQ chicken strip sandwich, and they gave me chicken strips with some BBQ on them in one of the fry containers. The recept had the correct order on there as well.

Just save yourself the trouble and go to the other whataburger in town. Everytime, I go to the one on Lamar Ave they get order wrong. This time didn't put fries in bag. My salad didn't have the bacon or tomatoes and also no plastic fork.

Terrible service received the wrong order two days in a row. Paid for items that I did not receive. The worst whataburger location i have been to in the US.

Just passing through, thirsty & hungry. 2 lanes but super slow. First time, southern burger was inedible with its strange flavor combo. Won't do that again. Second time, biscuits and gravy. Gravy was like milky water. Took it inside for a refund. Still hungry but don't have an extra 20 minutes to fix it.

Absolutely terrible! We waited for over half an hr for a few burgers and fries, and then received it cold. They didn't put cheese on my burger even though they charged for it. The workers were unmotivated and lethargic. The tables, floors, and bathroom were all filthy. Worst Whataburger... The one on Main St. is 10xs better.

Call in a pick up order and lots of things missing. Food was cold. Called about the items I can either return and loss my whole lunch break for the items or return to get a refund on the items with a receipt I didn't get. The manager said they were training new people and that she would refund me the items with out a receipt but that does not fix half the staff has nothing to eat on lunch break.

I ordered the #22 sausage and egg biscuit with no cheese. When I received my order the sandwich was wrapped in white paper which is supposed to mean no cheese. Guess what? It had cheese on it. The hash browns were all stuck together like they had been partially thawed and stuck together when they were placed in the fryer. I asked if I could get it with no cheese. While I waited I heard one of the workers explaining that to another. When I received the new sandwich it had no egg on it. I brought it to their attention, threw the hash browns away and walked out. I would give zero stars but it made me rate at least one.

Repeatedly getting orders wrong, fries not fresh and most workers don’t even have common courtesy to respon to you when you let them know your burger is missing all its veggies and the may and mustard. Then when they fix it not a single word. Lame. Slow line at drive through too. Went inside and when getting my drink the ceiling leaked onto my shoulder and I looked up to see a nasty water stained spot dripping. Gross!!

Food cold chicken wings are chicken nuggets and cold fries are stale and cold never again

I don’t know what y’all did to the Monterey Melt, but you should probably take it back off the menu, or fire the kitchen staff that worked last Sunday. My husband had an upset stomach and bad indigestion all day and night and I’ve had diarrhea and throwing up since Sunday night! Never going there again.

I had to wait 45 minutes for an order while the staff was cutting up and laughing,the female working the drive through was yelling about how she was tired of the woman ordering. Top it all off they got the order wrong. Do not recommend!

I was brought a medium chocolate milkshake and I immediately thought this doesn’t taste rite. I drank a couple more swallows and could not drink more. I don’t know if the milk was soured or what but it was nasty. At 3:00am I was up being sick. I was sick the whole next day as well. I couldn’t eat or drink anything. It would just come back up. Usually go during the weekday for breakfast, but decided to go on a Saturday. The service was horrible and so was the food.

I usually enjoy Whataburger, but my recent visit was disappointing. I went through the drive-thru after lunch, and despite being the only car in line, I waited for 20 minutes for my food. The staff wasn’t rude, but the service was incredibly slow with no explanation for the delay. The food was fine once I got it, but the long wait really put a damper on the experience. Hopefully, this was just an off day, but it definitely needs improvement

I ordered online at 10pm said would be ready for instore pickup by 10:17pm. I showed up at 10:30pm cause I knew it would be a little longer then 7mins but then front doors are locked due to short staff. I called they apologized and said they'd bring it out to me.... it's 10:52pm now still waiting and now blocked into the parking spot cause of all the cars in the drive thru. And still no food....

Food was as expected, it just took a weirdly long time. My biggest complaint was staff being rude to myself but then also other staff. She ignored me at the counter and yelled at another worker to do it. Mind you, he was already doing a task and she was standing around. It made me uncomfortable to watch, very unprofessional. To the guy that got screeched at, I hope your day gets better dude.

So I uber eats an order from this specific Whataburger, mind you, with all my money, to the last very cent, hoping and paying for Monterey melt. Not to mention my neck injury made it impossible to go out and get it personally or make food so I can’t go up there to get it remade. I was suffering and the only thing I was looking forward to was this Monterey melt. So it arrives I joyously opened the bag but to my dismay it was a quarter pound without cheese ,so unable to go in personally to get it remade, I submit a claim with obvious proof of my order being messed up, but they denied that it met the refund criteria, And I get five bucks in credit. I am extremely angry, I wish horrible things on this establishment.

Asked for a freshly cooked burger but when I drove off and opened it it was cool. I turned around and went Back to the restaurant and complain. They said they would make a new one fresh. After putting up with their attitude and rolling their eyes that I wanted Hot fries too, they cooked what was supposed to be a new hamburger. I guess it only takes 90 seconds to cook a new hamburger because within two minutes I had mine. Again, dried out and Almost burnt. Don’t recommend this restaurant at all. Save your money and go somewhere else where it’s fresh. Whataburger has always been my favorite place to eat, but they have really gone downhill.

Ordered online 4/14. The order wasn't on the shelf so I told the cashier Olivia that I had placed a mobile order and told her my name. She and another employee ( no name tag) talked about their cell phone cover how hers is new it red and pink. And then she showed her screen. So the male employee showed her his phone. No case. And his screen. They shared the story of the cracks and damage on their phones. The male employee then talked about he missed his dog. It had been 2 days. They talked about their dogs and how Olivia just saw her dog. Well 18 minutes of them talking I stepped closer to the counter and Olivia FINALLY acknowledged me and said what was the name. She turned around and picked up the bag off the counter that had been sitting there since I walked in. I asked for fresh fries. Olivia huffed, rolled her eyes, threw my bag on the counter going into the kitchen where it slide to the cook. Olivia walked around behind to the kitchen said something to the cook. He looked at me then grabbed my fries outta the bag and walked towards the back. Olivia walked back around to the counter and told me 30 seconds. Well anyone who has ever worked in fast food knows what just happened. No I didn't eat the fries. I gave away my burger to the man standing on the corner with his dog. Definitely never going here for food for myself. It would be nice to get my money back but no one has answered my call. Be careful and don't interrupt the employees conversation or they will mess with your food which is a health violation and illegal but hey unattended kids will do what they want right.
