Beyond the Glory

A volunteer group I am part of went yesterday after a hands-on event. There were 15 of us that all arrived at staggered times, and the staff was super accomadating. Food arrived quickly and was tasty. My only complaints were: The mimosas were a bit on the pricey side at $10.50 per glass, and the breading on the chicken fried steak was significantly bigger than the steak, which made the breading a bit hard to eat without the meat to go with it.

Great service, and location. This is a great sports bar, TVs can be a little loud when trying to have a conversation. The restaurant is very large, but they usually put everyone in the sports bar area. Update: I am updating my review. The food here has changed. It is amazing. I highly recommend the calimari, and the chipotle wrap. Everything I have has recently has come out fresh, hot and seasoned well. The service is also amazing, even the Saturday lunch rush.

Three of us had dinner at Beyond the Glory on Tuesday, June 15, and it was a fantastic experience - the food was delicious and the waitress, Sam, could not have done a better job of serving us. She was attentive and friendly. We all felt very safe - the employees were wearing masks and tables were placed with space between them, even though it was the first day of California opening up. It reminded us of the "good old days" before a pandemic - good food and good service. Nobody does it better than "Beyond the Glory."

I'm not a drinker and wouldn't typically frequent a sports bar for a bite to eat but I found myself here for lunch with a coworker and had a really great grilled chicken Cobb salad. Service was quick and friendly. Chicken breast in my salad was warm and freshly grilled, had a nice char, and wasn't too dry with the salad all dressed up. Nice covered patio out front in the parking lot for outdoor eating, didn't go inside so I can't comment on the noise level or number of TV's but it looks like it would be a popular spot for locals to enjoy a game on tv or gather after playing a game for snacks etc. If I was nearby and looking for lunch I'd definitely get that salad again.

I've had lunch there on three separate occasions with a friend an ex-college coach. We ordered the Cobb Salads with prawns. The wait staff are friendly, courteous and attentive, but not over the top. The salads are tasty and the environment is open, bright and even has a patio area if you choose to be seated in the sun. There are a lot of great choices on the menu. Fried and broiled. I highly recommend this establishment.

I stopped by for lunch while waiting for another store to open from a training session. I'm glad I did, the food was very tasty, I'm always pleased when I see Curly Fries on the menu and the club sandwich I ordered was also great. The beer selection was a little limited for me but some of the taps were drinkable.

We went for lunch. Staff were very accommodating about our needing timely service and bill. They checked several times to see if we needed anything but didn't hover. We all ordered wraps. All were good. I'll order the shrimp again. Servings were large enough to bring half home. Noise level was ok at lunch which was good since our interest was lunch and conversation.

Excellent breakfast!! Eggs fluffy, potatoes were perfectly seasoned. Someone knows what their doing in the kitchen. I LOVE the way my coffee was served on saucer. I wish the coffee was good, but it was weak. Service was excellent.

Happened to be in the area and I stopped in. Nice place and it worked for me. Kill a couple of hours here. Its clean , and has a nice atmosphere. The servers are friendly , lots of cold beer on tap. , and you can probably get your game on one of the many screens. Cocktails and a salted caramel martinis. Whoda thunk.

Updated Review: 10/4/2019 After Beyond the Glory closed down for a few months, someone bought it. It is back to its old self. Burgers are good, beer selection is great. It is a great place for a large group (6-20) a small arcade and sports on a dozen or so TVs

Long time patron here. Some ups and downs last year, but recently the food has improved and the help is more cheerful, so I up my rating from 3 to 4 stars. Now, if they'd just remember I like a coaster under my beer. . . Under new management since early 2019. Gave them a couple of months to get the routines down, and they're doing pretty well. The food is, on average, a little better than it was. The service staff not quite as cheery, but generally attentive and timely.

Our first time here. We attended a Celebration of Life for our Friends Mothers passing. We have heard great reviews from friends and neighbors. Yesterdays visit exhibited amazing dedicated staff, really great Happy Hour plates and beverage selection. BTG-Spts-Bar provided very nice private space for their family gathering. A Family owned Business, read the Owner Bio on line, They put Care into everything they do. We will be back for a meal very soon!

My son recommended this place so it was my 1st time here and everything we ordered was fresh and tasty. The wings were meaty and tasty that they didn't even need ranch or blue cheese..The 2 different burgers we ordered were cooked to perfection. The garlic fries were so good and the onion rings were breaded to perfection 🥰. They got 4 stars only because we didn't get much service while we were there and had to be hand gestured to get someone so we could order after sitting for quite some time and then during dining our drinks were not refilled and they had to be gestured to get the server to our corner. But other than that.. id go back there in a heartbeat 💓

Sedona time here. Great place for lunch during FIFA World Cup! I had the Chipotle Burger with Pepper Jack and Jalapeño bacon. My friends had the chicken soup and a quesadilla, and my other buddy had the fish & chips. All in all good stuff. They were quite busy and short staffed but we had our drinks and our order all within plenty of time to enjoy. The burger was “good” but not great. The bacon tasted a little tough but all of their burgers are a half pound so you DO get what you pay for here! The good portions were pretty big as you can see from the photos. I would recommend for sure!!!

Very good service, great food and a full bar with tasty beers on tap. The place has lots of televisions for your viewing pleasure as well. The setup inside is nithing special, but everything else is on pojnt. I recommend taking in a game here. The Shepherd's Pie was on special and it was outstanding!

Friendly staff and great food. The hot Pastrami sandwich served with wedge's is my favourite. So mouth watering and delicious.

Food was not great. Ordered calamari and a steak quesadilla. The calamari was bland and very processed. The steak in the quesadilla was rubbery and had large chunks of tomato. It was very strange. Food was decent. Games are on TV. When we were there the Giants were in the running for a Wild Card spot. We were able to watch it, but they had music playing, no sounds for the game. Not a big deal, but if I go to a sports bar sitting in the bar area and a local team is playing. I expect to watch and listen to the game.

Overall good. Food was yummy but some dishes are added spicy with no options. Like fish n chips comes with Chipotle tartar sauce but they do not have regular tartar sauce available. TVs are great but when 3 of them have bloody boxing match and you have a 7 year old with you, not okay. There was no where we could sit to prevent him from seeing two guys beat each other bloody.

Ok for a quick stop for a beer or drink and Pub food while watching a game!! But the service is lacking and this was the second time in since it reopened and the second time a special came out of the kit hen incorrectly. They rectified, by bringing me the missing gorgonzola on my salad, but there was a mystery egg sprinkled in. No offer to replace, not offer of discounts. The other thing is their salad dressings are bland... missing salt and more acid. The tap selection is good.

We sat outside, the server may be the owner not sure, but he was really nice and came out frequently. The food was tasty, I got a burger and fries. But was quite expensive at $20 out the door for just burger and fry! There are cheaper better places but that's where we went because we could sit around and talk and they had a table outside. Inside is pretty much gutted and mostly empty, tables flipped up with chairs on top of them. A lot of the outdoor area was also not populated with tables, so it was actually not a lot of seating. If they could cut their prices by 25% it'd be a great option.

I ordered the Ahi salad which would have been AMAZING if it wasn’t drenched with dressing. My daughter ordered a plain veggie burger with avocado and a side of veggies. I wasn’t expecting to pay over $20 hers. The side of veggies looked nice yet were drenched in butter so she only ate the broccoli. We asked if the seasonal veggies included broccoli and our server told us they didn’t have broccoli so she was plesantly surprised when her food came out. Our total(minus tip) came out to $63 for the salad, burger a beer and a soda which is about $20 more than I’d pay at a similar establishment in Seattle. There was also a BOH surcharge of about 4% added. I’m not sure what BOH stands for. Overall it seemed a little pricey for what we got considering neither of us could eat our entire meal because of the heavy dressing and butter. I’ll come back if I roll into town after 8pm and this time I’ll know what to expect and hopefully have a better experience. The food had potential and we didn’t have to wait long to be served. It took me a bit of searching to figure out if I could bring my daughter here. Google didn’t say if it was kid friendly and they didn’t answer their phone. I was able to find out through Yelp.

A really nice spot in a very good location. My fiancee and I stopped for a bite to eat (late afternoon) and we both had a chance to enjoy some very good lunch food; he had a burger, and I had a Thai wrap. The waitress was great, service was good, and I certainly give the food a thumbs-up. But... (and there is a 'but') what's going on here? They've got a lot of unutilized space & don't offer any kind of nightlife at all? East side Petaluma is desperately in need of something, and these guys are right off the freeway, so why don't they step up their game (at least on the weekend)? I might feel more of a connection with this place if there were more reasons to visit.

Ordered a protein plate; my son ordered the same thing. It was inedible; when we complained, the server was very apologetic, but charged us for both plates. I could not even eat mine; it was dry and tasteless, yet I had to pay. Won’t be going back.

This place is pretty average for a sports bar, if it were not for the poor service. It took more than 10 minutes for a hostess to even show up to put our names on a waiting list, our orders were messed up, and the margarita we ordered was poorly made and inedible. We felt largely ignored by the waiter, though we understand it was busy. Overall, it was an unimpressive experience.

Bar tender, long hair and ear rings, very rude. Hard to get a drink, order food, and even get the check paid for. Food was decent. Drink were great but definitely felt like I was a chore while asking for simple things. Had to ask three times for glasses of water and beer refills. And they all about customers and business at the bar top. Don’t think I’ll come again to watch the game

The LaCrema Chardonnay tasted like it had been in the fridge opened for a week at least. The whole experience was awful except for the service. Nachos glass of wine and a tip was over $70.

Walked in expecting good service, beer, and food. This was NOT what we got. Unfortunately the waitress was rude, dismissive, and had no apathy for our children. They tried serving our son ICE COLD KRAFT MAC n CHEESE, they had a small selection of beer, when we asked for what they did have on their menu they didn't have it and we had to approach the bar multiple times to request anything we needed extra. Poor service and food. Extremely disappointed.

We were seated 20 minutes and no server came by. Another Caucasian couple were seated after us and the waitress came right over. If you are a person of color don’t come here.
