Excellent place to eat the food is perfect always hot the service is beyond expectations friendly always smiles from the crew. We couldn’t expect better thank you to management and employees.

When I tried this place during my high school years back in 2016, I had my doubts. I tried it again in 2019 and wow, their food is delicious, especially their fries. And don't even get me started on the custard. Very creamy and smooth. Simply delicious!

I came to this location because the weslaco one is very slow. Drive thru was quick, and even more important, the order was correct.

My new favorite place to go eat with the kids , very nice clean environment, great food and desserts. The employees went around the tables a few times to make sure we didn’t need anything. Will definitely be going very often 👍

Just went there earlier today for the first time and i have to say i was impressed with the food and the customer service. Very clean environment and good music . My kids loved the desserts . It was too good for me not to leave a review.

Patty meat NEVER FROZEN and you can taste the rich beef flavor at first bite. Flattened patties make for better flavor. Shoestring fries perfectly crisp and salted. High quality burgers that rival 5 guys but at a cheaper price. I don't recommend the Chicago dog, though. It is bland. It's not a Chicago dog without celery salt and a poppy seed bun!!!

Today was my first time eating at Freddy's. I had been reluctant to eat here and finally decided to give it a shot. I now feel like a fool for putting it off so long. My wife and I had the California combo but swapped sauce for mayo and mustard and it is what a burger should be. Not only is it delicious, but also reasonably priced. My kids had the cheeseburger and tenders and they were great as well. I didn't catch the young ladies name that was working the front but she did a great job and provided excellent customer service mind you it was noonish on a SUNDAY. For the near future I believe this is our new burger place. GREAT JOB FREDDY'S Sunday crew. Thank you!

My experience at Freddy’s was so amazing. All the cashiers were incredibly friendly and attentive, and when I ran into a slight issue with my order Marla did a great job of making things right! Otherwise, the custard is always very tasty and the burgers are made to perfection :)

Great place to eat. Good service and food is great as well. I changed to five stars. They have great fried and the fry sauce is to die for. Their seasoning you can buy, we use almost every time we grill. Is their pecan turtle sunday's are awesome!!

Ordered takeout and everything arrived well. The burger was tasty and not greasy at all. Had the double California combo and chose onion rings (they were fine) given all the bad comments regarding the fries. Would definitely buy again. 5 stars considering its a bang for your buck.

I just love it here, they care about the customer and don't fight you when they are wrong on the contrary they help reach a solution that satisfies both. Huge plus the kitchen staff that is always happy and singing at the top of their lung just makes it feel so comfy and homey 🏡.

Love the look and feel of this place. I don't eat burger's but decided to try one here and i was not disappointed! The patties are thin but i like them that way. Fries are awesome. They aren't like any other restaurant. Their fish and chips meal is the bomb. Plus clean bathrooms so thats a plus too.

I drive 20 minutes for Freddy's every now and then because it is a different kind of burger. Love the fries and the fry sauce. The food is always hot and fresh. I can tell that it hasn't been sitting for a while. Never had a bad experience here. The only fast food fries I actually enjoy.

I Love this place!! Their burgers are super delicious & the staff is very friendly. And their desserts are great... Wish they bring back the funnel cake & ice cream dessert!!! I was gonna order that dessert but to my surprise they weren't saling it anymore.😔 I think that's the only down side I found. Everything else was good.

I've waited for the day that this restaurant would make its way down to the Valley! It did not disappoint! If you have never tried this place...the burgers are amazing to include their fries (Everything is Great!) It has a bit of an oldies feel to it with a modern touch. Highly recommended!

Good burgers--much better than some of the other local and chain places around. Update: Menu was not working on screens and burgers had a bit too much mustard. Although burgers continue to be good, just a bit too much mustard and other sauces they use. The amount of sauce used in the burgers drowned out their tasty ground beef. Also, prices need to come down a bit. Update: 11/1/2024-burgers were good. New tot option.

I stopped by to have lunch with my mother and it was a great place to eat. I enjoyed the atmosphere and most the food. will definitely be stopping by again.

The smash steak burgers from freddys is a unique taste and always keeps me craving more. Having a sweet treat after a savory meal makes the overall dining experience a 10/10. I love the design and the atmosphere is very welcoming.

best burgers, better than whataburger, this tastes like actual steak burger, worth the price, turtle custard dessert is delicious, our last drive thru experience was frustrating and upsetting, i guess the girl was new and still in training so i get it we've all been there. I recommend the classic double meat, i do not recommend the brisket burger. Other than a mexican style burger at a restaurant or taqueria, this is the only fast food burger i like.

Absolutely love this location, always make sure to do the drive to go get myself some custard. Staff are friendly and attentive through the drive thru. Every visit I'm greeted nicely and always have the best conversations with the employees. What i usually go for is the Chocolate Chunk Delight sundae, if u love chocolate overload and a warm brownie this is the dessert to get.

First time here! The meat was thin, crispy andthe veggies inside made it taste better. I absolutely loved the pickles!! I wanted some chili cheese fries, so the young lady at the register graciously offered me to purchase some chili and cheese on the side to dress my own fries. The fries were a tad too salty for my liking, but still very good. I did not have the custard today, but I have tried it in the past.

The hamburgers are delicious. I would have given them 5 stars but I don't like the small size of the fries.They taste great it's just that they are tiny.

The fries are awesome. Service was, ok. My order was forgotten for a few minutes but they made up for it. If you are looking for a quiet place to dine, this ain't it. If there's other folks dining, it'll probably be loud.

I love well done burgers. Only place where the meat is so thin that need two patties. This makes my well done burgers crispy which I like. Fries are great too. The concrete was not for me. I like my flavors mixed.

Two hotdogs and fries, fantastic. Frustrated by the difficulty ordering this combo. There's no button on the register, so it's difficult to place. This person did come up with a solution. It went well from there. My friend and I enjoyed the meal. I would certainly go back to this location whenever I'm in Pharr.

Overall this is a nice family burger place. The food is pretty good. Love the custard. It is a bit pricey but other than that we enjoy going there. Service is always pretty fast and friendly.

Good food that's a bit different from all the other local fast food joints. Custard is really tasty and the hotdogs are great. Only giving a slightly lower rating because I've had mixed quality of burgers on my many separate visits. Sometimes the food is amazing, other times I feel like I'm given a thin disc of burnt beef. Still, one of the better places to eat at, and the workers there are really great about customer service.

The food is good. I'm just shocked at how expensive everything got. Even for the cheapest combo, you're paying at least $10.

Food is very good, not healthy but good. Service can improve, they suggested items to me and reviewed my order which was nice. It was kinda child in there though so not really inviting. They also have a nice little patio. The restrooms were clean. The manager came twice around to check and see if everything was ok.

I dont know but the burger's meat is super thin and flavorless, the fries are way too thin to taste the flavor. My drink seemed like it was reduced with water. I do give credit for the buns !!

Their Burger is amazing but their fries are a NO. They are really small and thin, and I get that you are supposed to grab a chunk and dip them in their special sauce (which is delirious by the way) but sometimes I just want the fries, and then by themselves are not really good.

Good food however very limited selection on meals. Like only 8 or so choices. Decent pricing great desert selections. Gets pretty crowded though during peak hours. Fast service and good atmosphere.

Needs to improve on customer service and cleanliness. Food is ok. Ice cream is excellent.

Burgers are getting smaller, I'm trying to get use to these string fries but are a nuisance, just fry up some thicker cuts already. Out of the many visits I've had 5 times where my size up fries are regular. Oh well, a damn good #2 meal always satisfies! 👍 🍔

They messed up my order on 2/27 9:24 pm. $7 kids meal was missing so I had to spend more time getting other food for my kid as the restaurant wasn't answering the phone. Missing g the tenders and fries.

I love Freddy’s and they make awesome Burgers. Reason for the 3 star is, this location is so greedy with the portion size of cheese curds !! If I’m paying for a large cheese curds why always bring the thing halfway full I always have to complain. Hopefully the new one being built on McColl gets it right.

The food is overpriced, and the staff is unfriendly, with prices that are double those at Burger King. At times, Burger King offers a better taste than this establishment, which is a low benchmark, almost scraping the ground. The employees displayed a poor attitude, as if they were reluctant to be there; I understand that Saturday is the day to go out to the bar and clubs, but Burger King is cheaper and has a similar negative demeanor. The manager was quite rude, showing kindness only to an elderly couple who were "white". The ice cream here costs more than Ben and Jerry's yet tastes inferior. We all left feeling unwell. I had forgotten why we typically avoid dining here, but July 12 served as a reminder of why this place is easily overlooked. Chic Fil A next door attracts significantly more customers, and it's clear why.

I only come here for the custard. On 06/14/22 at 9:47pm I ordered an ice cream cone and waited 20 minutes while everyone that came in after me got their orders fulfilled. I feel unseen and unheard. I had to go and tell them that they forgot about me. 😞

Waited FOREVER in the drive thru even though i was the only one in line. Girl at the window was really nice but she filled up my large drink with so much ice I would have gotten more drink ordering small with no ice. Then they put tomato and lettuce on my burger after I said "no thanks" when they asked. 🙄 too expensive for all this.

The steakburger was so thin you could see through it. Onion rings were good but nothing special. Overall, not going to go back again---too many other places with much better food for as much as you pay for it here. Fudruckers puts it to shame!!! Hell, even the double burgers at Wendy's are much better.

The two stars is because most of the tables were still dirty/greasy and floors were dirty. One table booth was clean but an employee was seating on the bench with her legs on it probably on her break. After dining in we left and the tables were still looking the same. It was not busy so there was enough time to clean a bit.

We were the 3rd served this morning and there were fruit Flies..???? Did the night shift not clean before they left, it just opened. No toilet paper in stalls. And we got diarrhea later on the day. Be careful going in there.

AWFUL PLACE. I rarely complain about places but this is such a horrible place. First time I had the chicken sandwich. Barely had any flavor, and super hard in the middle. As if it was undercooked. Didn’t complain about that since no fast food place is perfect. Secondly today I got a drink. I opened it up to let the soda drain since I was gonna pour in a new one and there was A STRING INSIDE IT. Seemed like it was some sort of cotton string. How disgusting!

Food was good even though my order was incorrect. Customer service during this visit was poor. I felt like I had to yell at the cashier taking my order because the music was too overpowering in that area. Anyway, my order has dietary restrictions, so I ordered it that way. The cashier taking my order rolled her eyes at me every time I said she had my order wrong when repeated incorrectly back to me (5 times). So I'm not sure if that young lady was genuinely having a rotten day (the order was STILL wrong when we received it) or if they need extra training in taking a meal order. Rolling eyes at the customer is VERY disappointing to see. I didn't want to cause a scene or call a manager on this, but perhaps I should have contacted a manager. I didn't want to ruin my outing with my family with a simple 2-meal order. I don't come often, but when I do, I only want a decent experience for my family.

Horrible management at this location. Spanish music can be heard blasting from the kitchen during multiple visits. Dining room is always dirty and gross…bring hand sanitizer everything is sticky. Tables aren’t cleaned on a consistent basis. If they can keep their dining room clean imagine what their kitchen looks like. I have been brought this up to corporate and they simply do nothing about it. I highly recommend you visit any of the other fast food places around the area.

I don't know about now, but I was there for the grand opening when this establishment first opened. And never in my life had I experienced food poisoning until I eat there. I noticed very young workers while I was there, not being an ageist but possibly making a correlation between inexperience, maybe they were not properly trained, or corners were cut. I will never eat at this establishment. Didn't leave review until now because after recovering from this experience, the last thing on my mind was this review, but a recent conversation reminded of this. I'll never forget still going to work the next day after this evening meal with constant diarrhea, sweats, extreme tiredness, and vomits.

Terrible experience with their customer service. We dined in with a large party (16-17 people). Food was great and fast getting out the food. However upon leaving, someone in our party asked the young lady at the front counter if they could possibly lower the AC since it has been pretty cold inside. Her response was , “ there is always the drive-thru”. Same young lady walked over to our table later as someone was still eating within our party, and was moving tables back and placing items on the table we were using still. At first I gave this person the benefit of a doubt however after watching her awhile, it seemed as she knew what she was doing. We did mention this to a what we believe was a manager and as soon as we left she walked over to him (knowing it was about her). Hopefully this situation gets cleared up as they obviously need more training in customer service and how to interact with guests. Will not be going back for awhile as the multiple families in our party will be staying away for same reason.

The patties were dry, underseasoned, over cooked , and tasted of dirty grill scrapings. The fries looked golden brown and crispy, but were overcooked and dry in the middle. Like stale potato stix. There's a small margin of error between perfect and overdone when fries are cut that small. Unfortunately mine were ruined. There are better burgers joints out there for your money. Service was friendly but slow. Iced tea tasted fresh, the only enjoyable thing from my order.

I got food from the drive through and my chicken fingers were raw from the middle. This place is always empty, should have read through the red flags before deciding to get something from here. Now I feel sick with a huge migraine, fever, and stomach issues. Never again!

Amazing burgers, but they’re always getting my order wrong. I don’t get much interaction from them. Forget about an apology. And I run late from lunch cause as it is they take a long time. 20 mins for a order and they serve it cold. I can drive from McAllen to Weslaco in 20 minutes, but I can’t get a burger in 20 minutes

So stingy!! I asked and asked again before I left for sauce AND seasoning...they are always so stingy there with the seasoning!! I told the guy at the window can you please give me seasoning and he rudely said, "it's in the kids meal bags." I took his word and went home...NO there was not one seasoning packet. He put in a sauce for each kids meal but not for the adult meals and absolutely no seasoning. For the price you pay they can afford to give the stingy size packs of seasoning. Y'all are lame.

I visited today to place an order through the drive-thru, but unfortunately, the second lane was not working. I attempted to place my order multiple times, but it was not taken, which led me to drive up to the main window instead. I had a larger order, and upon receiving it, I noticed that a hotdog I paid for was missing. If the second lane is out of service, it would be very helpful to have it clearly marked or coned off to avoid confusion and delays for customers. I was disappointed with the experience and hope steps can be taken to improve this in the future.

Pulled into drive thru on June 12 @ 9:41, no one service so drove to window, rude worker came to window with attitude saying if we wanted to order food we needed to get off and order inside because of the storm. It was no longer storming rain had stopped 10-15 before arriving. I wouldn’t have mind getting off but with the attitude he had I decided to go to chick fila instead. Better service !

Absolutely Garbage food, If you cook food on a dirty grill and use old oil! the food is going to be garbage.! tomatoes were rotten in the centers, the lettuce was old and brownish looking like gross slimy and that black stuff you see on the chicken is not seasoning, and I set a towel down on my lap for a reason? you can see the reason! But the grossest part is while I was sitting there watching these guys making this stuff you could see that the kitchen was filthy and they were cross-contaminating everything. I hate to even look and see what the floor looked like it but shows in the lack of quality food but the best part of all both drive-thrus were broke down and their screens were down inside the store, so you couldn't order your food they had to tape the menus to the countertop which is a biohazard in my book . This place is in dire need of New Management! The condition of the property speaks volumes that it hasn't been taken care of for quite a while I would not go here again ever!
