Tutto molto buono, personale in sala gentilissimo e professionale.
Ottima cena, buoni i sapori, personale gentile e simpatici,.. Ringrazio dell'amaro alle erbe offerto... 🤪
We went to Vernazza on a rainy day and in order to get out the rain, we just picked this place because it was right by the ferry. We ended up having a lovely meal here. The pesto was delicious and the wine was strong and the service was good. We wouldn't hesitate to come back here if we were in Vernazza again.
The food was really good! We really enjoyed our dinner, thank you 😊 The products were fresh, the dishes tasty and they have good proportions. The service was fast, impeccable and really friendly. If you wanna get the most out of your experience at Vernazza, I highly recommend eat here. Thank you for the lovely service 😘
We‘ve been twice to Gambero Rosso and were very satisfied. The food was excellent and the service very nice. I can really recommend the fish in the oven. It was savoury, very well done. Also very good: pulpo with potatoes, spaghetti frutti di mare and insalata di gamberi. The restaurant is quite popular, so you might want to reserve a table (you can do via the website).
We really enjoyed our dinner. We had to wait a few minutes to get a table but the boss was very kind and offered us a glass of wine to wait. We shared one pasta dish with fish and a rich tomato sauce; it was the best fish pasta we had in the last week of travel. For main i had the John Dory in a similar rich tomato sauce with olives and capers. That was very tasty and the fish was totally without bones, not even a small one, perfect! My wife had the grilled fish and sea food that was all fresh and tasty, and again, not one bone. The only complain we have is that the bread was too dry; dried from the morning presumably.
Absolutely delicious! We were family of 7 around peak lunch time. The outdoor section was packed and they said no wait if we seat inside. We got a beautiful round table by the window. Great efficient service, we had local wine and sparkling to start. The food was so so good. Everything from pasta to octopus to seafood combo were excellent. If you have time and want to enjoy a nice meal this is the place!

We had a great evening here! We enjoyed our pasta and fish and service was very attentive. We would definitely come back!
We had a fabulous meal here on our first night. Our table was right up against the beach. The service was great. We had shrimp, gluten-free pasta, fish, and a delicious lemon sorbet.
Located at the heart of Vernazza, the courtyard of the restaurant directly overlooks the Vernazza central plaza and the sea. A great location, especially for night time when the sun is setting. The food came pretty quickly after ordering. The spaghetti was rather undercooked, but the fish in Gambero Rosso style was pretty good. The service was OK. Note that this restaurant charges EUR 4 per person when dining in, called "cover charge". Not an omission by the restaurant, I missed reading it at the bottom of one of the last pages, but it's my first time encountering this type of charge. Overall, a okay type of restaurant. The prices are pretty high, not due to food quality but for tbe location. I do believe the restaurants are better a bit further north in Vernazza.
First off, the service & speed is absolutely 5/5. We had an Airbnb that was up the mountain at Cinque Terre so we actually had a cab booked for 10pm. We were seated just around 8:35-45 and we made sure to ask the waiter if there was enough time to eat. He said we would be out by 9:30PM if we want. The environment couldn’t get any better with sitting right by the sea. If you really want to enjoy the full ambiance, I believe sunset would be the best time to have your meal as you have the best of both worlds. The waiter not only memorized our entire order, the pacing of the meal was top notch. We ordered 4 mains for 4 people along with two more mains to share. The pasta was absolutely amazing and again, the waiter had been absolutely perfect. The only reason there’s a docked star is because the flavor of the seafood was top-notch, but it definitely could’ve been cooked a bit better. In the end, we were definitely finished our meal by 9:30PM and we were not only surprised by the quality, but just how on point they were the entire time as it was definitely their peak dinner time when we arrived. Highly recommend trying if you stop by!
This restaurant here has a prime location on the Piazza down at the small port in Vernazza. Still, the prices are fair, the staff was friendly and helpful and the food really good. So it's far from being a tourist trap you might expect from this kind of location. Had a glass of local white wine, a mixed acciughe (anchovies) platter for a starter, Spaghetti Vongole (clams) and homemade pasta for a main. The acciughe came in all different forms and shapes. Fried, grilled, dried and salted and in oil. All very good, high quality. The Cinque Terre is famous for having great acciughe. The Spaghetti Vongole were decent, not the best ever, but enjoyable. Pasta perfectly cooked al dente. The pasta I had (some kind of homemade ravioli - just a different shape) were really great. Nicely filled and cooked perfectly. But the best part of it was the sauce. It was a (hazel? walnut?) sauce. What might sound a bit crazy, was actually a perfect match. Suprisingly good...no, great. A really nice choice, this restaurant. If you want a great location and some good food, look no further.
Vernazza seafood extravaganza! Fresh seafood at a moderate price. Well worth it and one of the best restaurants in Vernazza. Right when they open for dinner there's usually a queue. Waiter was friendly and efficient. Seafood pasta was good, pasta cooked perfectly, not overdressed with sauce, and muscles and clam were fresh. Fried seafood platter was fresh, not fishy at all, and surprisingly not heavy and oily! Well done chef. Grilled octopus was the star though. Crunchy tips but tender overall. Paired really well with the arugalla and tomatoes. Highly recommend if you're in the area.
The dining experience was nice here at Gambero Rosso. The food was very good, minus the John Dory fish. The risotto had great flavors and their signature pasta with zucchini was also excellent. The view is also very nice, and they cannot control how many people are around, but it is a very busy location.

Went here to eat and at first glance it looked alright, nice service, seatings and menus look specialised (low amount of items) which is a good thing. Anyway I had the pesto and a tiramisu and was …
Delightful restaurant right on the water in the main piazza. I had the baked catch of the day. It was incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked. The service was a little rushed, but pleasant

Delicious food and wine. Helpful staff. Location is just by the harbour with seating outside, weather permitting. Well worth a visit.
We had dinner here twice during our stay. The stuffed mussels were fantastic. So was the anchovy plate. My vegetarian daughter liked the pasta with walnut sauce. Friendly service.
Posizione all'aperto con vista mare.
All a little underwhelming. pasta was slightly under cooked and the sauce was lacking in depth of flavour. If you're a half decent cook this place will disappoint you.

Enjoyed dinner with another couple. This is definitely a restaurant for someone who loves seafood. Started with a shrimp pasta and shrimp risotto and for seconds a T-bone steak and a Milan…
It’s tough to rate. So let’s start with the pluses. view. Location. Service. Ambiance. The neutrals. The food. Was…ok The negatives. The price ! Like I said. It was good and the location is aweso…

Gambero Rosso in Vernazza might have the location, but everything else falls apart fast. The staff barely acknowledge guests, offering no welcome and no warmth. The seafood was passable except for the shrimp. Then came the risotto. It was not just undercooked, it was an insult. Hard, white, chalky grains that crunched between your teeth. Not al dente, not close. It was raw. When we politely questioned it, we were told, without hesitation or care, “this is how it should be.” That statement alone disqualifies them from serving risotto at all. And then it got worse. Instead of starting fresh, they threw the entire dish-sauce, seafood, and all-into an oven in a sad attempt to recover it. The rice remained raw, the seafood turned rubbery, and the sauce reduced into something nearly inedible from salt and overcooking. Here is a photo of the risotto after the third attempt. Still raw. You can clearly see the white core, uncooked seed inside the grain. This was not a mistake in execution. It was a complete lack of understanding, pride, and respect for Italian cuisine. In Italy, no less. Gambero Rosso should not serve risotto until they learn how to cook rice.
