If you happen to be vacationing in Western Liguria near Finale Ligure, it might be worth considering a brief inland excursion to experience the cuisine of Locanda Piemontese. Located in the village of Calice, in one of the central squares, the trattoria immediately presents a welcoming atmosphere, with multi-level dining rooms and a small but comfortable outdoor terrace. The atmosphere is extremely welcoming, and the menu offers a balanced selection of Ligurian and Piedmontese specialties, all expertly interpreted: special mention goes to the Ligurian-style rabbit and the fresh pasta dishes. To finish, there's a rich selection of desserts, including a bunet (a type of cake) that's memorable not only for its generous portions but also for its quality.

A small, folkloristic restaurant in the charming village of Calice Ligure, the menu is typical of the western Ligurian hinterland, with subtle Piedmontese influences. Very fair prices (for an appetizer, first course, second course, side dish, house wine, and water, we spent €49 in total). The staff is extremely helpful. It's an excellent hiking hub.

I'm writing this while sitting at a table inside the restaurant (only restaurant) because I absolutely can't forget to confirm everything the numerous positive reviews describe. Excellent service with high-quality dishes, beautifully presented, and satisfying portions. Appetizers, first courses, and second courses all cost under €14. I found this place using Google Maps to treat my girls, wife, and sister-in-law to a nice lunch. A truly perfect choice, especially since the owners are people with "proven skills." Frequenting this part of Liguria, we've found a good place to return to. Thank you and goodbye.

Me and my family visited this Restaurant in 2018, 2022 and in 2023 and have enjoyed the food everytime. They use often vegetables from their own garden or from the region and you can taste the freshness. The salad of squid+fencel+orange+olive was fantastic, the steak of my husband was excellent, Ravioli with Ragu my favorite of our son, the fried fish+shrimp+calamali is also very satisfying. We will visit again.

Siamo stati a cena in questa trattoria: ambiente casereccio, gestione famigliare, molto disponibile. Piatti della tradizione ligure e piemontese (sia di carne che di pesce), preparati con ottimi ingredienti e presentati con cura. Molto buono il rapporto qualità / prezzo. Torneremo sicuramente per provare altre proposte.

Siamo ritornati anche questa estate,portando nuovi amici.Rapporto prezzo/qualità ottimo.Cucina variegata x tutti i palati di buona qualità e non lesinando sulla quantità.Abbiamo pasteggiato con bianco sfuso "ribolla" fermo e fruttato di buona beva per assaporare pesce ,antipasti e carni bianche.Dolci fatti in casa con menzione particolare alle pesche ripiene.per finire due cicchettini alcolici al pernambucco e alle erbe.....torneremo appena possibile e con grande piacere. We only tried the restaurant. It's a very nice place with a warm, family atmosphere. The staff is very kind and attentive. Piedmontese and Ligurian cuisine is also served. Both meat and fish are available. There were six of us, and I must say that everyone was extremely satisfied with the quality of the dishes. Nothing to complain about. I recommend it.

My review is limited to the restaurant service. Excellent food, well-stocked wine cellar, including mid-range wines, delicious tartar, and excellent mushrooms. The only oversight was that we waited a long time for the first course, and the quantity when it arrived made me envy the other diners. It must be said that the evening was very chaotic due to the full house, which I think this place deserves; it can happen. Courteous staff, complimentary liqueur. I will gladly return.

Buono ma niente di indimenticabile..... Abbiamo cenato in questa trattoria di sabato sera, un bel localino con discreta scelta di vini. Piatti che non lasciano il segno, piuttosto anonimi, con porzioni scarse .Antipasti che non presentano benissimo e non sembrano particolarmente freschi.Come primo gnocchi di castagne, direi buoni. Secondi con cinghiale e polenta, buono ma troppo salato, buridda di seppie, buona ma abbondante di sale pure questa. I dolci così così, tiramisù composto da solo un savoiardo e crema troppo liquida. Viste le recensioni, mi aspettavo di più. Personale molto gentile, servizio del vino al tavolo molto approssimativo. Non si mangia male, ma sinceramente non mi è rimasto impresso nessun piatto.

Bell'esperienza ristorante all'interno di un hotel. Atmosfera informale ma curata e accogliente. Piatti liguri/piemontesi, buona l'offerta anche dei vini. Abbiamo assaggiato un po' di tutto, degni di nota i tagliolini con il ragù di coniglio e gli antipasti. Prezzi onesti e titolare molto alla mano

I was a little disappointed. Traditional Ligurian and Piedmontese dishes. Good quality, but the portions weren't very generous. They gave us freshly baked Fugassini as a taster. We had an appetizer, Ligurian-style rabbit, and roast beef. Fair price.

Cucina casalinga.Prezzi normali.Coperto euro 1,5.Servizio sbrigativo.Ambiente ordinario. Valida la carta dei vini comprese le bottiglie da 0,37 ( ma il Pigato segnato era esaurito ).Pansotti al pesto : buoni i pansotti ma il pesto no,scuro e direi casalingo e piuttosto amaro e senza profumo.Fritto misto insufficiente. Scarso ( 2 buoni gamberi quattro pesciolini e qualche anello ) e un poco scuro . Orata buona ma un piccolo filetto. Non ritornerei.

Mangiato malissimo ordinato il fritto misto mi hanno portato ben due volte gli anelli di totano grossi come 5 centesimi fritti tantissimo e secchissimi più i gamberi immangiabili,sconsiglio vivamente

I didn't stay, just dinner, total disappointment, too high quality/price ratio, very small portions, questionable quality, they even save on the polenta by bringing very little (and to think it costs little), little attention to the dining room, they bring the dishes staggered, while I was eating the others were waiting and vice versa, dessert to be avoided, a shame because they had spoken better to me, I definitely won't go back again, I always feel sorry when I am forced to write negative reviews also because selfishly I always hope to find some new good place to avoid going to the usual props but this time I felt obliged because I had a really bad experience, it makes me very sad, you feel bad, if it hadn't been like this I would have given it a second chance (I always do this) but this time I can't even find a reason, a shame

I was shocked by the rooms. At first, everything seemed clean. But as soon as I wanted to go to bed, I saw so many blood stains and dirt on the blankets and hair everywhere. I'm very sure people have slept here before and that these blankets haven't been washed. I'm truly disappointed. The food was inedible. Salty, tasted like soap. And I'm sorry, but the people were so kind. But the food was absolutely not good. Stomach ache after eating there... I don't recommend staying here. Very disappointed. Don't be fooled by the prices or photos!!!
