Wylie's Popeyes in Pine Castle receives mixed reviews. While some customers praise the fast service and polite staff, particularly at the drive-thru, many report issues with order accuracy, cold food, stale biscuits, and poor customer service. Consistency seems to be a major issue.
Tip: Visit when they've recently changed staff, as some reviewers noted improved service during those times.
This particular pot pies location is great The food is good as expected like it should be from Popeyes the service is fast everything's been made fresh on the several visits that I've made here to this location. The staff is super friendly polite and providing service with the smile. I did not notice any price gouge on the menu so everything is how it's supposed to be in regards to the cost. I would definitely visit again and I do plan to
Tonight I visited this location. The staff were very friendly and personable, unlike any Popeye’s I’ve ever been to. After getting my order and driving home, I opened my bags and some of my food was missing. I hated to drive the 15 minutes back, but I needed the items I had ordered. I got back in the car, went back to the location and drove up to the window. A very nice gentleman came to the window, asked what the issue was, I explained, he took my receipt and said keep the food we gave you, we will remake your full order and bring it out to you. We parked and within 10 minutes a nice young woman brought out our order plus a few extras for the mishap. I was truly blown away by the service and the friendliness. One of the best experiences I’ve ever had with a fast food restaurant. 5 stars!
I've been to others and it takes forever to get your food. Mine was fast, fresh, and hot. Just like we like it. Good one to drop in to for a bite.
This is the best Popeyes near us! The food is always fresh! The employees are actually very kind and polite. Jerry and Madeline at the drive through window was exceptional and filled with a positive attitude which was nice for a change. OTHER POPEYES SHOULD TAKE NOTES FROM THIS POPEYES ON CUSTOMER SERVICE AND KINDNESS!!!
Really nice customer service 👌🏽
Visited again. The service was faster than expected. The food was great! Seems like they changed their staff.

The breading on the chicken is light, fluffy and crispy.....it's perfect. The coleslaw is not very good though.
Everything was good, the African American lady at the drive through was so polite and respectful definitely will come back
For spicy crunchy good old fashion fry chicken you can't beat Popeyes. Put gravy on if you want a treat
Ordered takeout for dinner and everything was fresh, hot, and exactly what you expect from Popeyes. The chicken was crispy and flavorful, sides were well prepared, and the order was accurate. Service was fast and efficient, and the overall experience was smooth from start to finish. Definitely a solid location.

All in all a great place to eat, I ordered the chicken sandwich 5 times now, and 2/5 were kinda small and dry but if you get lucky, the sandwich is amazing. And even if you do get unlucky, they make up for it with the Mac and cheese, mash and gravy and Cajun fries. It's always a go to meal.
If you have a coupon you are screwed, they will not validate it. You have to pay only at the automatic kiosk so there is no option to claim it. It's still Popeyes so good food.

I'm a California transplant and hardly ever ate at fast food restaurants. God forbid it didn't have kale in it I didn't want to know nothing about it lol just kidding. Friend of mine loves the place and dragged me with him. You go to the big TV screen and order what you want I ordered a three piece with mashed potatoes and gravy apple pie and a drink it came with fries. Being the only patrons there the food was fresh fast and hot. It was delicious nothing I'd write home about to be honest with you but better than average for sure. Would I go there myself if everything else was closed and that was only thing open yes with other friends yes but overall probably not on my own and that's just my opinion says nothing about how great the facility was and how quick and delicious the food was. I'm just not big in the mediocre personally.
The atmosphere was generally welcoming The food was delicious and very tasty. The staff did well with their service. And I genuinely enjoyed my meal. However, most of the available tables were dirty making it difficult for me to get a seat Also, there was limited drinks available. Finally I went to the washroom to wash my hands and there was no tissue paper or hand dryer😫😫😫 But I did enjoy the meal though and will have to do a take out next time to avoid any of these.
The service wasn't bad, but the chicken sandwich and the French fries were cold. I only ordered the sandwich and fries, but I was given a combo even though I didn't ask for it. I couldn't dine in because they had already cleaned up and were about to close."
Kind of quick in comparison to other branches However, it was hard hearing the speaker’s voice while ordering from drive-thru The spiciness of the sandwich is remarkable but the bread was on top hard and sloppy on bottom Still worth going to but I hope they improve

This is one of the worse fast food stores I have ever visited. Seems to always be understaffed. Employees on the drive through should be able to understand and speak English reasonably well. Often, employees act like they wish they were not there. I’ve never been told thank you as they immediately turn around after passing the order out the window. Worst service from fast food restaurants in Orlando!
I ordered ALL DARK from the kiosk inside and the system somehow put a breast in there. The worker said the computer somehow show 1 breast in their end. MUST BE FiXEd ASAP. (not once this happened but twice)
I've gone here 3 days in a row. The first time get bad chicken. That tasted very much just like old oil. Next two days good chicken but they kept trying to pass off a wing as dark meat
There are a new set of employees at this Popeyes location but the quality didn't get any better in regards to the customer service. There always seems to be an issue. During dinner time they were trying to get me to take spicy chicken and the lady at the window said if you want original she will have the guy put some down so that will be about 12 minutes. It's been close to 30 minutes as I write this review and still no food since they told me to go park after the woman at the window gave me a sarcastic remark about the cook time. The problem with that is she told me that they only had chicken breast and chicken thighs left in original but then she told me that they don't have any original chicken. My question is, are they planning on just trying to sell the spicy chicken for the rest of the night despite this being dinner time hours? I came to the location around 8:18 and waited at the call box with no answer until I said something. I was curious to see how long this is going to take while plugging in my updates as time passes, but it's now 9:00 p.m. EST. I decided to drive back around to the drive-thru. It's officially 9:03 and after going back through the drive-thru they gave me the food. What I was ultimately going to do is if the chicken wasn't ready was just to go ahead and get a refund but I finally got my food. The only reason I went to Popeyes was based on the lack of time that I had for dinner preparation, but it wasn't worth the wait. By the way no one was in the Drive-Thru for the most part so I don't know what was going on there. I counted maybe 3 cars during my wait. I have a record of my purchase but I was curious as to why she didn't give me a receipt when I went back around she was pulling a huge bundle of receipts out of the register so I'm not sure if it were a situation where it was jammed or she was just collecting them but under certain circumstances it's been warned that people will do that for the sake of doing refunds so they can pocket money. Not saying that's her but it happens so Popeyes corporate may want to monitor refunds and stock. The overall quality includes uniforms because this particular woman which they can see on camera is walking around with the back of her shirt up and the top part of her butt it's showing. I kid you not, you can literally see the crack of her butt. This is a far cry from Chic Fil A.

I love Popeyes and I was craving it one day so I ordered 2 five piece chicken tender combo. I waited over an hour for the food and 3 of the tenders were raw. Also there was no drink or fries. I was really surprised and I had to order from somewhere else. My money was wasted. I lost 28 dollars on raw chicken. I was really disappointed because I expected WAY more from Popeyes.
Came was told to use kiosk couldn't figure out kiosk lady in all black popeyes uniform helped me and even told the manager on duty my order and they still got it wrong called the 321 number did everything the answering service said to do and to date nothing not one email or phone call never in my life would I have ever thought I would be done with popeyes but I am now popeyes will be churches in 3 years or less and that's ashame tired of the poorly trained workers bad attitudes and the I don't care attitudes giving me whatever and not what I paid for and then getting mad at me when I complain dirty tables dirty restaurants yeah I will go elsewhere and tell others to do the same goodbye
This particular Popeyes is sllllllow. I usually ask for fresh chicken and previously the chicken was hard and dry from sitting to long under the heat light.....
Ordered a family pack of tenders and got one packet of honey mustard, went to ask for another and they said it is 25cents per extra sauce. I get it if I orders a few tenders, but a $40 family pack and you get one sauce. Heads up
Manager Azaela extremely rude, argumentative, and non helpful. We asked for help and she refused to help and tried correcting us, we had to figure out the kiosk on our own.
The manager doesn’t even know how to speak English why is the chicken never fresh but so expensive
I ordered the New wrap. When I received it my wrap was drenched in mayo and it had no lettuce. When ordering no one let me know that they were out of lettuce(it that was the case) and I guess to make up for the lettuce they put four pickles and lots and lots of mayo.🤮I’m so very disappointed . I come here at least three times a week because I work right around the corner. I tried calling multiple times but was unsuccessful in reaching someone. I will not be returning. Had they communicated with me I would have ordered something different. Who eats a wrap with more mayonnaise than chicken.
One of the things I come to Popeye is because the food is amazing but I don't know what's going on but they changed everything, this whole service where you have to do your own order is the worst and at the same time I get an overpriced food without the service. And the chicken gets one star because it was horrible! The chicken was oily, and you can see that it was old and at the same time the spicy peace wasn't even spicy it was mild and their most delicious piece which is the biscuit usually is extremely buttery and tasty but in this case this was old and dry overall the food is not good at all and I always want to give honest reviews but this is bad. Overall it was easier if I would hop into a car and get the order through the drive-thru I put have gotten service.
Pulled up had second thoughts since it was empty tried anyway. Went straight to the window was told to pull back around to the speaker to let them know it was a mobile order so they could make sure it was ready. Pulled back around as requested, gave the name, went to the window, got the order. It was wrong was told the wait is 15 minutes. All that just to have to wait anyway when she could have just got the name and told me to pull up the first time. First and last time at this location, I can see why it’s empty.
literally the only people in the store but took awhile before our order was ready.
Very slow drive -thru. I Waited over 15 min in line. When I placed my order they were out of dark meat. I was told it would be another five minutes wait while it cooked. . I got to the window and they were out of Coke for my drink. This site iseemed unprepared for dinner rush. The only positive was the staff was friendly and apologetic. I probably won't return.
They should really consider changing the hours of operation of this location, because while they advertise they close at 11pm, I got there at 10:20pm to pick up a mobile order and was told by one of the employees that I should cancel it because their kitchen closes at 9pm and they couldn’t make anything new. So just know that if you go there after 10pm, they may not give you your food or if they do it will be at least 1 hour old. At the very least the employees were nice and apologetic about it, but why even stay open if you don’t have food to sell?
Ordered spicy legs and thighs and was given mild breasts and wings. Popeyes never cared about their customers needs and tend to feed whatever they got. haven’t bought anything from there for over 2 years because of that exact reason and now won’t be back forever. Was wondering why Popeyes going down
Horrible service unprofessional staff and overall a worst experience.
Drove over an hour because we have not had Popeyes in a while, and an hour back home to realize they gave me a box full of fries instead of the chicken order. Called in for refund they expect me to drive an hour back because they claim they need the physical card. How inept can they be, never again!
Honestly the service ruined the food. Basically was told what to order by the lady. I didn’t order a coke but she decided to tell me I was getting a coke and fries. Then when I asked for more sauce she said I had enough. KFC is an extra 20 minutes the other direction and now has become worth the drive. Edit they gave me a surf n turf combo but charged me for their other combo
Chicken was old and it looks like it was under the light for an entire day, i picked up my order at 5:45pm came to my job open the box to some dark old hard chicken, this will be my last order from this Popeyes. Chicken didn't look nothing like the one in the app. Also inside the restaurant they had water all over the floor and they didn't bother to clean it
The picture I have shared is what I walked into when I entered the restaurant? Never seen a popeye's not have a single piece of chicken ready to serve. I was told 8 minutes. To wait for chicken ended up being close to 15. Water all over the floor they were out of salt.
I order a 3piece white meal and got a thigh, leg and wing. I was at lunch for my job so I didn't have time to take the order back. And white meat is more expensive. Just bad business.
Food quality is everything in a restaurant this place has gotten so expensive so I want fresh food especially the biscuits but nope I got stale hard crusty dry biscuits. Not worth the high dollar price tag. Come here only if you want crusty food I've noticed it's all about the management must have bad management here because the food is crusty even in the morning when they freshly open like an hour prior they must have had those biscuits there since opening

The woman at the drive thru was a total jerk I asked for a large drink and she gave me a small the I asked her if I could get a large and with and attitude she told me I already cashed you out so no don't go here I can't stand rude employees
Knowing in advance this is going to fall on deaf ears, writing it anyway to whomever it may concern. On my way home, stopped by this location to pickup dinner. There was hardly any wait. Placing the order, was already told that I can’t have my 10 piece all dark meet as I wanted and that it has to be mixed. So I didn’t want to argue that it’s the only location that has this rule. Paid for the order and waited for it to be prepared. Picked it up when done and drove home. At the table, found out I didn’t get what I ordered or the sides I paid extra for. Took pictures and the receipt and drove back to the location 20-25 minutes watch way in rainy rush hour. Spending $3 a gallon in gas plus tolls in this trip. Asked for the manager and was met with an attitude like “so what”. I didn’t go back to beg or ask for a give away. Tried to get in touch with corporate or customer service but you get a recording and direction to go online and chat with an AI. So to save myself the aggravation, I write this and adamant it’s not going anywhere. But what I am absolutely positively sure of, is I’ll never buy anything EVER from Popeyes, this location or any other. You can keep my $42.59 and rest assured that you won’t get a penny out of me or any of my family members EVER again. I would’ve posted pictures of everything but there isn’t this option here.
Terrible. Food was cold. Chicken had to be sitting in warmer for the entire day and I went there at 2pm. Ruined it for Popeyes
I am super disappointed in the service I received today, July 11th, Friday, 6:30pm. I ordered through the drive-through was told to pull forward. Waited for 15 minutes when it was only supposed to be six walked in and the manager didn't even apologize and just grabbed my food from the waiting stand and said nobody told her that it was a drive-through order and somebody was waiting. None of the staff were around. There was no one at the drive-through window and when I told her I was disappointed, she just looked at me. The chicken was all broken. The wings were gnarled, and there was black blood pooling on the chicken.. this is my first bad experience at this restaurant. The manager needs to get her act together and the staff as well.
I ordered the $6 box and was told that the cajun fries and mashed potatoes were not included even tho it says it is included in their website
This restaurant didn't have a major line and with three cars at the window and three persons standing at the register I had to drive away because I was told to hold at the drive through waiting for more than 15 minutes. I'm 😠 😡 angry
