Great take-out option. There s a small indoor seating area and several tables outside for dining in. I had the best salad. I will be having it a few more times while I'm in the area. The roasted beets were absolutely perfect! The arugula was a perfect pairing with the goat cheese and pecans. The strawberries and the strawberry dressing added a delicious dimension. The balsamic reduction was amazing I didn't try the olive oil that was also with the salad

One of the best pizzas I've ever had. Their Margherita pizza beats Seattle's Serious Pie's Margherita pizza 🍕! They offered to do half pizza of Margherita and the other half Pep & mushrooms. I could taste all the individual toppings flavour. The pizza sauce is really good. The basil leaves were strong. Would love to come back for more!

My family and I just love Giuseppe's! We make it a point to dine here or order take out each time we visit. Ever since we learned about Giuseppe's Express, it's been our go-to. No long waits or reservations. Simple counter service with a full deli & good selection of salads. There's a few tables/chairs to dine inside & outdoors as well. Plus, there's plenty of Italian goodies you can purchase to cook at home. They also offer their veggie & pepperoni pizza and a few entrees to go in their take out freezer. Great option when traveling or just taking a night off & heating up good food. Here's what we ordered on our most recent trip 07/05 - 07/08 in the Grover Beach/Pismo Beach area. The Italian sandwich. Delicious & made fresh to order on a soft roll. The Godfather Pizza (the large). You won't regret having leftovers. We also ordered two slices of the pepperoni pizza at $4.50 each to snack on while we waited for our take out food. Best pepperoni pizza I've ever had. The crust is buttery good. Not pictured - Chicken parmesan w/rigatoni and the Spaghetti w/meatballs. Both were great & tasted fresh. We always enjoy these two dishes here.

I was told about this treasure and decided to go for a drive. It was an hour out of my way, but sooo worth it. I think it was the best pizza I have ever tasted in CA. I loved the quaint little shop and the store employees were very friendly and helpful. Parking was in the middle of the street and seemed very accessible. Wheelchair or stroller it is acceptable to get around the area. I don't know about any bathroom facilities, I went across the street to mail a letter - and they had a bathroom to wash my hands.

Great food and pasta! I stopped in here while on vacation. The pizza was good, and you could order by the slice. There are plenty of deli items, and they will cook deli items for you! I did not much care for the windy outdoor seating.

Food was pretty good. We did feel rushed through the ordering process and wanted to order more but were abruptly checked out. The bathrooms were sparkling clean but they didn’t have a changing table. When we checked in with the main restaurant to see if they might have one we could use the man gave a very terse response. Seems strange for a place with crayons on the tables. Left a bad taste in our mouths so we won’t be back.

Called in a to-go order and they had it ready in 15 minutes flat. The folks were friendly and the pizza was good, although I think I need to try a plain cheese, because we went on a limb with a margherita which isn't typically our style.

Hmmm…how do I rate this? My Eggplant Parmesan sandwich was fantastic. But hubby was very disappointed with his Italian sub sandwich. It does seem to look a bit dry. Took home half of the left over sandwiches for later, so maybe he can spruce it up! We also ordered a slice of pizza to share. It was very good! The service and staff was wonderful. Great looking desserts displayed which we were eyeing, the carrot cake and cheesecake. Didn’t get. But couple sat down next to us who ordered the exact same desserts we were googling over. They said it was “absolutely divine”.

Before the big move, our family really enjoyed Giuseppe’s Express. It’s was our favorite stop after a day at the beach, a hike, lunch or just a nice treat. We loved the small Italian feel, the pictures on the wall, it was so familiar and safe, and the service was on point. Now, in the new restaurant, right off the bat, the service is nowhere near what they offered at the old place. I understand there’s new people, logistics, all that, but we’ve been there twice and the service is getting worse, not better. The second time, we went for our anniversary, after a hike on the preserve, I was craving the pizza and carrot cake. We ordered 5 squares of pizza, (we had the kids with us) a slice of carrot cake, and a slice of Milky Way Cheesecake. We grabbed a spot outside, and for items that are already cooked, we waited longer than we should have. The young lady came out with a pizza box and just stood there, didn’t call out the name we gave at the register. We wouldn’t have even thought it was ours, since we ordered our food for there, not to go. She finally asked us if it was ours, after she had to open the box and show us the pizza. She didn’t have our dessert, we figured she went back to get the slices. She never did. I had to go back in, and stand and wait for someone to ask if they needed help. The young lady finally approached me, I let her know we never got our dessert, and told her what we ordered. She quickly got them, but when I got to the table and opened the bag, I noticed she gave us chocolate cake and not the Milky Way cheesecake. So, I had to go back in and request the correct slice. It was like yanking teeth to get a simple order. My husband and I both work in the service industry, so I understand when it’s busy, mistakes can happen, but to me it just seems like lazy mistakes. I really love the food, and the point of this place is “Express”. I hope you don’t lose the element of quick service that people came to love about this place, and the excellent service you had before. I hope this review is read and you can take it to your team as a learning opportunity, and I can turn this 3 star into a 5 star. Please.

Honestly, if you are looking for an old-fashioned Italian sandwich shop, it's great, but For my family and I, we didn't enjoy it. The people were great! They were helpful and helped us. The atmosphere was nice! It was an open eating area. Nice and quiet even though it's right next to the street. Also! The pizza tray on the tables is a beautiful touch! The food, though... is questionable. We ordered the Hot chicken Parigaiana And the Italian cold sandwich And a 12 inch pizza. The hot chicken sandwich was meatball sub but with chicken instead. It was okay.... nothing to brag about. The Italian cold sandwich was crunchy but really thick.... and the meat felt like it was to packed in the sandwich and not spaced out enough. But maybe that's just me. The pizza was good though. My kids liked it. Btw ranch dress is 50 cents extra fyi All in all, might bit come back here. But thank you for the great customer service :)

"Ummm, we're a little busy". That was the reply received when asking if someone could bus our table. What a filthy dump. If the front of the house is a mess, I can only imagine what the back is like. Tried to dine in, but didn't want to eat around other people's trash so we left. Wish I could have cancelled the order. Pizza was undercooked and the sauce was bland.

Second time in a row I stop at this location can’t find a vegetally sandwich first time was there at 1 pm second time 11am when they just opened they were not willing to make any Ordered a Margerita pizza instead was missing cheese and basil

Heart Break. I've been going here for 15+ years and they changed their pizza. Once the best pizza on the central coast now ranks about the same as a frozen grocery store pizza. Crust is bland, cheese doesn't melt down, little to no sauce and the pepperonis are dime size! At $30 dollars their large pizza's are only offered in thin crust. I spent $100 dollars on 2 large one topping pizzas and a medium margarita. The staff didn't even tell me the crust changed. When I got home and looked in the box I was floored. When I called to ask why they didn't mention the pizza changed I was sarcastically told "you should have looked closer at our new menu". Unbelievable!!! Great customer service... Save your money, at these prices you're better off spending $10 dollars and get a Costco pizza. It will taste better. What a shame!!! Pictures of pizza's before and now.
