Food was amazing, atmosphere & service was great! Me and my dad have been wanting to play pool & this place was perfect for that. We ordered food and as we waited, we played and the server brought the food to us.
Great place for date night if you like games
GREAT FISH N CHIPS GOOD PIZZA AMAZING ARTICHOKE HEARTS ❤️
Hidden gem. Seems like your average pool hall type of place from the outside. Cool T-shirt shop. Young crowd. For the most part it is. But then they have this amazing beer selection of sours, stouts, barley wines, strong ales, etc. on tap. legendary microbrew bottles and cans to go. The food is great too. Top notch bowling alley diner style grub. The business isn't a bowling alley, just saying that's the fine cuisine it reminds me of :) Patty melt is great. Regular stop on my yearly Pismo trip.
Tyler was awesome going above and beyond & the food he cooked was delicious! Jennifer, the manager was also very attentive. This is a great spot especially if you're looking for a great late meal!
Hot shots ,what can I say great wait staff clean pool tables ,ping pong and nassar himself.love this place
We had a great time at HotShots Billiards! It was a fun and relaxing way to bond with my three teen kids. The place is clean, including the restrooms, and has a welcoming atmosphere for families. We really enjoyed playing pool together. Great tables and enough space to feel comfortable. Great spot whether the sun is up or down. They also serve food, which was a nice bonus. I really enjoyed the calamari strips, crispy and tasty! The kids couldn’t get enough of the funnel cake strips. Plus, the soda machine is awesome great drink selection and super convenient. Highly recommend for a fun outing, family bonding, or just a laid back game night!
Great place for Family to have lunch or dinner. Arcade area for the kids and plenty of pool table (9 ft. and 7 ft.). Great selection of Tap Beers. Just a short walk to the beach and pier. They also have 2 Air Hockey tables. Love this place!
Hot Shots: Pismo Beach’s Ultimate Billiards & Hangout Spot Nestled in the heart of downtown Pismo Beach, Hot Shots isn’t just a pool hall—it’s a massive, multi-purpose playground housed inside an old theater, blending nostalgia, competition, and laid-back coastal vibes all under one roof. Whether you’re a pool shark, an arcade junkie, or just a tourist looking for a cool Pismo Beach keepsake, this place has something for everyone. More Than Just a Pool Hall Step inside, and you’re met with an impressively large space that caters to just about every kind of night out. It boasts several league-size and bar-size pool tables, all kept in top-notch condition and lit with professional-grade lighting. No dim, dingy corners here—this is the real deal for anyone serious about their game. Beyond the felt-covered battlegrounds, Hot Shots is packed with arcade games, a dining area, a bar, and even a full-fledged t-shirt and merchandise shop right at the entrance. If you’re visiting from out of town and need a Pismo Beach souvenir, this is an easy stop to grab some memorabilia while soaking in the local scene. A Must-Visit for Any Pismo Hangout I haven’t eaten here in a long time, so I can’t speak much on the food. But back when I did, I had the fish and chips, and from what I remember, it was solid. That said, Hot Shots isn’t the kind of place you come to just for a meal—it’s a gathering spot, a break in your night out, a place to kill time with a drink in hand and a cue stick at the ready. Every time I find myself hanging out in Pismo, there’s a high probability that at some point, I’ll end up at Hot Shots for at least one game of pool. It’s one of those places that’s just part of the experience, a guaranteed good time whether you’re aiming for a perfect break or just killing time between beachside strolls. The Verdict? Rack ‘Em Up! If you’re looking for a laid-back, fun, and classic Pismo Beach hangout, Hot Shots is the spot. Whether you’re sinking shots, hitting the arcade, or just grabbing a keepsake before heading home, this place delivers on atmosphere and entertainment. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — Five stars, because Hot Shots is always a good call.
Hot Shots Billiards in Pismo Beach, a most excellent gathering place it is. Well-kept, the tables are, maintained with great care. Charged by the hour or minute, the game of pool is—18 credits per hour the cost stands. Variety, the arcade games provide, bringing balance to the entertainment. Warm and inviting, the atmosphere is, with staff most friendly and attentive. Strong, the drink offerings are, satisfying even the most discerning traveler. A shop, they have, where fine pool sticks, accessories, and garments—shirts and sweatshirts among them—may be acquired. A place of camaraderie and skill, it is. A fine choice for an evening of merriment with allies and kin.
Great place to take your kids or just the adults. Tons of pool tables and lots of arcade games for the kids/adults. Including air hockey, pinball, shoot'em up type games. They have a HUGE selection of IPA's, domestic beer (draft & bottles), imported beer (bottles). Burgers, fries and more which can all be eaten at the table top shelves located by each pool table!
Great spot for grabbing a drink and playing pool. It's usually busy so it's best to reserve your table then walk the shops, it can take up to 40min. The place is fun but be aware that before 10pm you will have 18 and under people around, so if you don't like teenagers don't come in before then. Haven't had the food but the onion rings look good
Love playing games here. Food is little expensive but always fresh
I had such a great time here. For years and years. This recent visit I asked for a plastic cup so that I can turn in my glass beer cup because closing was soon. The manager DANIEL decided to yell at the employee that I was being helped by because the worker accidentally gave me a water cup instead of the branded 805 plastic cup. Mind you, the employee did not know my intentions of me using the cup to pour my beer into. I proceeded to tell the manager Daniel that it’s not okay to heal at said employee and micromanage and yell at his employees in front of customers for a simple mistake. Long story short, because of this interaction I am now banned from my long time favorite hang out in pismo. Thank you Daniel for being so unpleasant.
My credit card was charged $53.80 after I already paid them cash to close out my pool tab. I didn’t even shoot pool for 1/2hr. I called management to resolve the issue and they said that it was just a hold on my card and wait until the payment is done processing. Fast forward to a couple of days later, and the charge on my card was still not reversed. Now I have to settle this issue my bank. Very unprofessional and will never come back to this place.
Phil the owner was the most unpleasant human I've ever met. We entered Hot Shots my 8 year old son my girlfriend and our service dog Nigel. Excited to play some games and hang out. Phil very aggressively approached us immediately demanding to tell him what service our dog provides. Mind you we have been in before with Nigel which has never been an issue. We offered to show Phil our drs . Letter of service for Nigel and Phil just yelled at us "WHAT SERVICE DOES HE PERFORM!!!" Getting up in my face so aggressively as if he wanted to fight me. Im a 42 year old female and at this point felt very threatened for not only my safety but my sons safety as well. As i tried to walk away from Phil he leaned into me and my personal space and in my ear said "you are rude and ugly leave now!" Feeling so insulted and attacked by this man (the owner) my family and I made our way out of this horrible establishment. I do not recommend Hot Shots at all. Thumbs down horrible service. Needless to say we will not be back and if you are reading this and own a service dog please be cautious when going in here. They will not treat you kindly at all. This encounter was the most discriminated I have ever felt before in any public setting. Phil whatever was bothering you today just remember buddy tomorrow is a new day. Best wishes to you and your business ✌️
If I could put 0 stars I would. Called the cops on my kids for "banging sticks." The cops kicked my family and I out and told the cops we were "refusing to pay" when that was NOT the case at all. Really disappointing and scared my kids on their vacation. Horrible service.
So we were in this evening. We purchased food, drinks, and games and went to our table. We noticed the manager, Danny, staring at us while we ate. This lasted about ten minutes before they finally walked over and said they had to ask us to throw out the leftovers we’d brought in with us. Mind you, we had them when we came in, while we ordered, while we found our seats (and were not eating them) but rules are rules and we complied. After throwing out the food, which they watched like hawks to make sure we threw out… but okay, cool, done. People in our party played a game and were in the second game of pool before Danny walked over to tell one of the women in our party with a child playing an arcade game, that they were going to “have to ask” us to leave because they felt “disrespected.” Other than bringing in food from earlier in the day, which we did not eat but didn’t throw away because who can afford to throw away food in this economy, we did absolutely nothing to the manager or anyone else in the establishment. We came out for the day with all of our children to have a good time and had to explain to our children, all under 15, that we had no clue why we were being asked to leave. Ridiculous. -1/10.
