Jenny was awesome and her service was pleasant! The environment here is chic and very neat, like you can expect from any BJ’s. The pizza was fantastic (which is saying something for me because I’m NOT a fan of deep-dish), the mozzarella sticks were very very crispy, and their iconic pizookie never disappoints!

BJ’s warehouse restaurant in South hills Village was great. The atmosphere was cool and laid back, the service was attentive, and the food and drinks were wonderfully prepared. It is highly recommended.

We had an awesome dinner at BJ's! The food was excellent and the prices reflected that, but it was a great spot to spend an evening out. The beer selection was absolutely fantastic and their house brews were all delicious. The panookie dessert is awesome, as well! An appetizer, two big steaks, a dessert, and a couple drinks ran us around $100 before tip.

I have been coming here for a while off and on over the years one suggestion on the sliders Toast the buns a little better for the crisp no burgers should have a soggy bun Only flaw Everything else is great They had no chocolate that freezes for the main dessert Any restaurant should have everything for any dish Get the menu right

Celebrated Valentine's Day early last night with delicious food and drinks! Calum provided an excellent experience and recommended the dip trio app to start! Couldn't leave without a Cookies & Cream Pizookie! Thank you!! We will be back! 😊

Nicole was the coolest ever! She helped us decide on what dishes to order for dinner, helped us decide on our drink order, and we had an awesome s’mores pizookie to end the meal. Super great service!! We will be back!!!

2nd time going to eat here and both times the food was delicious. Wings, salads, pizza and the special desert they make were excellent. Too bad it's far from home or we would go more often. Got to try the ribs next trip!

Great meal. But the best was our server, Alyssa. Confident, professional, personable, and so helpful and knowledgeable! Took the time to explain ingredients of particular items when we asked, and made personal recommendations when we asked. What a pleasure!

Excellent gf pizza! Best I've had! The Blood Orange Hibiscus Mezcalita was a winner too!

We go here regularly because the pizza is great and the beer selection is nice. Sports always on the tvs and a good crowd. Mondays are half off pizzas.

First of all, you have to understand that I work in the restaurant industry, so I notice everything whether I want to or not. With that being said, my experience at BJ's Brewhouse on Thursday night could not have been better. Our waitress, Emily C., was flawless. She was patient, kind, and it was clear she knew what she was talking about. Throughout our meal, she struck the perfect balance between being attentive/taking care of our needs and hovering/constantly interrupting. When I was struggling to make a decision as to what I was going to eat, she made a recommendation and did an outstanding job explaining why she thought the meal (jambalaya) was her favorite. (She was right, by the way, as the dish was perfectly cooked, tasted great, and was the perfect portion size.) Towards the end of the night, one of my friends had an issue with her check which Emily took care of right away. In addition to her great service, the food runners who delivered our meals knew what each of us had ordered and announced the names of the dishes as they sat them down as opposed to "auctioning them off" - a big restaurant no-no. I've been to BJ's several times since they opened and have always had great experiences, but this one somehow rose to and surpassed the top. If you're looking for a great meal, head to BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse in the South Hills. And ask for Emily C. to be your server - you won't be disappointed.

It's been years since I've been in. Tonight was my mom’s birthday and Heather J took care of us. She was absolutely phenomenal and very attentive! She took care of all of our needs and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of! Thank you, Heather J!

I love the food! And I had a waiter named Kieshan and he was very charismatic and entertaining. He spent a lot of time with us and made the meal very special!

Came in tonight for dinner and had a wonderful experience thanks to our server Taylor. When I go back, I am going to ask for her everytime (and you should do the same!).

We usually have good service with good food. Tonight with kids at the table a glass of wine got knocked over. The manager was kind enough to give us a free replacement.

We had a great waitress named Valerie tonight. She was incredibly attentive, we didn’t have to ask for anything. We watched her quickly go around each table through our dinner and show them all the same attentiveness. She was kind and made for a great experience! The food was also great tonight so shout out to the cooks!

First time eating here. I got the turkey sandwich ,pretty good . Fish and chips were good. There are a few healthy things on the menu. Didn't care for the appetizer selection. Service was excellent. The star of the show is the rubber ducky alcoholic drink Loved it and bought the bath tub it came in.

Brewery and restaurant serving delicious variety of pizzas, sandwiches, American and continental food! We ordered hard deinks, Avocado Egg Roll, Pan Seared chicken pop sticks (like dumplings), Sals Brewery chicken, Pasta Marinara, Pan Pizza and Pizookie which is a giant cookie with a voice of ice cream.

Food was great. The crispy chicken sandwich was perfect. Chicken was crispy and moist. The California Flatbread wasn't bad at all. My only gripe was the pizza. The price was a bit steep for what you get. We ordered a mini chicken bacon ranch pizza and although wasn't bad... $15 was a bit much.

Ordered take out/delivery. Love this restaurant. However, I was a little upset over the size of fries I received. I ordered sweet potato fries as a separate dish, $7 dollars. And I received a side portion( I think?). Ordered burgers, they were super good. Two wedge salads, but both were made differently, which I thought was odd…but they were good. One had tomato only and the other had bacon only. Maybe I hit something weird while ordering, who knows. Mostly just hoping they fix the fry situation for anyone paying that much.

Great food. Good drink choices both kids and adults. Had a couple snafus with one of the meals and the check but all and all, good experience. It is on the expensive side tho. $10 for a beer, $3.75 for a pop so it adds up quick. 3 ppl, 2 app, 2 beers, 1 pop and three dinners $115. Granted one of the meals was a full rack of baby back ribs but you take that whole person's dinner off and it would have still been $80+ for 2 ppl.

I’ve always had a positive experience with the staff, and I’ve never seen anything but professionalism from staff and Matt. In my time dining at this restaurant, he’s always been friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring, especially when it comes to handling special dietary requests for my brother ali and I, modifying our dish for us. Always checks with managers and kitchen staff to make sure its right. Seeing another review very surprising to me. I’m confident that if there was an issue, it was simply a slip-up, and Matt would never intentionally be rude or dismissive. I can assure you that Matthew's attitude and service have always been top-notch. I hope he is recognized for the excellent work he consistently puts in. I’ve had great experiences here, and I know the staff always aims to provide the best service possible. Yo Matt keep up the good work brotha! I see ya next time

Ordered the basic burger with fries. Tasted good. Service at the bar was attentive. Atmosphere was pleasant. They have several large TVs at the bar. The Panthers were playing tonight. There were advertised specials for food everyday and drinks on weekdays.

It was a little loud in there but for a brew house it was pretty good. I love to hit up bj’s on Friday’s before high school football games. Service mostly takes under and hour and the food was on point. I recommend the fries and burger.

It was good, just a bit too pricey for my taste. It wouldn't be a place I go to often because I'd rather not drop about 100 just for dinner for two. Our waitress was very nice and did a good job, and the atmosphere was fine.

Me and my fiancé visit BJ's regularly. We never had a problem except on Sundays. Twice I ordered food and it was a complete disaster. 1st disaster: order jambalaya and didn't receive ANY rice...imagine that. I didn't realize this until we got home. 2nd disaster: order pizza with peperoni, onions and green peppers. Upon leaving, something hit.me, check this pizza. There was literally only 1 pepperoni on the entire pizza. You have to laugh considering this isn't a dive bar. I guess Sundays are a bad day for our service. I don't complain much which is why I didn't comment on the 1st disaster weeks ago, but after this past Sunday...what am I to do? We'll continue to go on other days, the female bartenders and the one guy with the heavy beard(no glasses) are excellent in service.

Standard BJ's. Staff had me seated quickly during lunch. The fried chicken with potatoes was great! Skin was perfectly crunchy. Service was nice but brief.

First time getting take out. Ordered the chicken parm. The picture speaks for itself…chicken was overcooked on the outside and rubbery on the inside. Disappointed and will not be returning.

The service is never consistent, I know they're new still but they've giving BJ's across America, a bad rep. The hostess told us it was going to be about 45 minutes to be seated, but we say down right away in the bar area, and then watched 2 tables (large enough to sit us) sit empty all night. The service and food is extremely inconsistent. We had an awesome waiter twice and an awful waiter once. And the food, on our most recent trip, took about an hour to come out!! And then I literally couldn't cut through my chicken. Blechk. I'll give it one more chance, and then I'm done.

A little noisy, good food and service however I was overcharged on my card. I ordered classic cheeseburger with glass of water and the cookie with one scoop of vanilla ice cream and was charged $27.28 for lunch. I left a tip in cash on the table. So burger was 14.99 and one scoop of ice cream and a cookie was 13.00??? The waitress said 2.99. What happened? Not inclined to return.

N
Nathan E.

The server was okay, not great, not horrible. Could have been more personable and asked questions like what size beer do you want rather than just assuming since they have 2 sizes. Food was kind of disappointing, not because it was bad but because of course the one thing I had my heart set on they were out of so I had to settle for something I really didn't want. They apparently do not make their own pizza dough since they were out of dough and couldn't make any more pizzas for the night.

We used to love BJ's but the last few times we were there we were very dissatisfied I got the prime rib the other day and it was so grizzly and so fatty and so hard to chew and have a huge piece of fat so of course there wasn't much meet. The waiter offer to send it back and I agreed and the next place was just as bad I don't think it was cooked low and slow like it's supposed to be I actually think it's cooked like a regular steak and a lot of grissle. I've had it there before and it was good not this last time. It didn't even look like prime rib. I don't think we'll be returning maybe we can try another one. I actually took a picture and sent it to my daughter and she said it didn't even look like prime rib I wish there was somewhere I can post the picture. And it was very pricey but if it was good I don't mind paying it.

This visit was a disaster. Waitlisted for a certain time and arrived about 5 minutes early. Waited 25 minutes for a table beyond the assigned time. Host and waitress wanted to tell us all about the restaurant and did. So it took 20 minutes to get our order in. The"spicy" dish needed lots of stiracha to give it some spice. Not a good day at all.

This location was slower than a glacier. We arrived at 4 and didn’t leave until 7. Food was good, but when we came out, it was spring and my kids graduated. My car battery died due to sitting so long and Pluto became a plant again. Try take out

We went in to BJs because we were in the area and had a great meal there years ago. My my my, things have changed. We waited at the front to be seated for about five minutes, then waited at the table for another without menus for another five, and then waited for our server for another 10. The hostess told us the specials when she brought the menus, saying it was the deep dish and tavern pizzas. The server comes and gets the drink order for the table next to us, who were seated five minutes after us. We had looked at the menu and knew what we wanted. One of us ordered one of the pizzas thinking it were to be part of the special but the server told us it was only certain sizes, a note the hostess could have shared. Changed the pizza to a burger and carry on. Server disappears for awhile and brings us out our drinks asking if we want any condiments or dipping sauces for our fries and we asked for ketchup. We'll the ketchup was slammed on the table minutes later. Food came out in reasonable time and was delicious, burgers and fries were very good. As we were eating, we noticed other servers discussing all the options and specials so maybe ours was having a rough day. Thank goodness there was the option to pay via qr code because we might still be waiting for our server to get the payment.

Their “Join the Waitlist” system online is either useless or requires an unfair level of gamesmanship. Should I be “Joining the Waitlist” 30min before I leave? 5min? The morning of my intended visit? We watched multiple people with our party size be seated earlier despite joining the waitlist before leaving and having them arrive after us. It’s terribly unclear what you have to do to get sat in a reasonable amount of time

The service was great and the beer was cold. Food? Not so much. Limited options for me, but I'm not taking anything away for that. Although, a few veggie options would go a long way. Son's burger was well-done (he ordered med rare). Had to send back. If you can't cook a burger, probably will not get my repeat business

Have been here before. It's been about a year. I ordered a medium burger, and it was literally all but raw. Pic for reference. Couldn't eat half my butger. Hubby ordered asparagus but was given sweet potato fries? Ordered a lucky ducky drink, and it was missing it's fruit. Seems to have went downhill since last year. Won't be returning, and don't recommend. Wished I'd have seen all the one star reviews as of late, i would have chose differently

Had my food delivered from here through their website. The food was cold, pizza was stacked, and theres a piece of chicken on the right edge of the box. This is disgusting..

I am updating my review because the takeout service was terrible. I wasn't told about a meal being out of stock. They just hoped I didn't notice, even though I waited 15 minutes past my pick up time. Very disappointed.

First time here. I felt like we were a bother to the server. The food was horrible. Burgers were dried out and burnt. Fries cold. Beef Dips were cold. We won't be back.

this is genuinely the worst service i’ve ever had at a restaurant. i would like to preface this with the fact that i was in a group of friends after homecoming tonight, and i know how teenagers can be, however we genuinely did not deserve the unprofessionalism and anger we were shown. even after thinking on it for a few hours i still do not have a reason for how we were treated. Whenever we (party of 6) arrived, our server, Matthew seemed fine. His tone had seemed slightly annoyed, but i know how the food industry is, so i figured he just had a long night. However, whenever he walked to the other side of the table he threw the coasters down at my friends, rather than simply setting them on the table. Luckily, we got through most of our dinner without issue. We were not being loud, disruptive, or rude. We were simply eating and conversing as people do at a restaurant. until he handed us our checks. My friend was charged for an adult chicken tender meal rather than a kids, so she calmly asked for a manager and respectfully got the problem solved. After everyone (except one person) had paid, Matthew told to have a good night. He then pointed to one person in our group and said “you were the only respectful one. so thank you”. For reference, two people only ordered drinks, i had my boyfriend order for me, and everyone else was perfectly respectful! Considering he barely came over to check on us, we only spoke to him when ordering. So how was the entire table ill-mannered? A few minutes later, another employee comes up to our table and tells us to leave. We’re confused and start asking why. At first she tells us it’s because they are closing soon and we have been there for too long. When i correct her and tell her there were other tables there way longer than us, and ask why she isn’t telling them to leave, she then changes her reason to the fact that we were “causing problems the whole night” and we needed to pay and leave (we were waiting on one person to pay as they were in the bathroom). This whole time we are asking her to get our original server, so we can have a reason as to why we’re being told that we have to leave. Every time I asked she would immediately say “it doesn’t matter, you have to pay and leave”. At this point we asked for a manager again because it’s become more of a yelling match rather than a civil conversation. She tells us the manager isn’t there. (she just fixed one of our checks??) After another minute or so of going back and forth she leaves, and we get the attention of an employee walking our way. We ask her to get the manager for us and she immediately went to get her. The manager came right out and was very very kind to us. i’m sorry if some of this doesn’t make sense. There are a lot of details but everything happened so fast. Please work on your employees service. This was completely unprofessional, inappropriate, and ruined everyone’s night.

Terrible customer service at this restaurant. I ordered online and arrived to be told they didn’t have what I ordered available. Why not call me or not let me process the order. Rude employees couldn’t care less about their service. I would go to a nicer restaurant.

Been here 3 times in the last 18 minths. Problems everytime. Great atmosphere. Server was just OK. Food came out late and incorrect. Manager couldnt comp the check correctly. Ended up here for an hour and 40 minutes and never ate anything but my house salad and still had to pay a $60 check for food that was less than par.. We will never be back.

Stopped here for dinner while in Pittsburgh shopping. The food was good and waitress was nice. However the food runner with short blonde hair had the worst attitude I’ve ever experienced in a restaurant. Food was brought out wrong and we kindly asked for it to be corrected and her smart ass response was to snatch the plate and say “if you wanted it a certain way try ordering it that way”. She’s rude and miserable and should probably not be in the service industry if you’re that miserable! Good luck here though!

T
Tejaswini NNVS

If possible, I would give zero stars. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. The server, Shannon D, was extremely rude and unprofessional. She didn’t serve our food properly and placed everything at the far end of the table. After seeing the tip amount, she came back with a rude attitude, sarcastically said, “Thank you for giving this amount,” and threw the bag on our table before walking away. Her behavior was completely uncalled for and made us feel disrespected and uncomfortable. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and kindness, regardless of the situation. I sincerely hope the management addresses this behavior so that no one else has to go through a similar experience.

m
mads

This was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I’ve had in a long time. My friends and I (a group of six) came in after homecoming, and while I completely understand that servers may not want to wakt on a group of teenagers, we were polite and respectful throughout the entire meal. Unfortunately, we were met with unnecessary attitude and unprofessional behavior from multiple employees. When we were first seated, our server, Matthew, seemed irritated...I assumed he was just tired after a long shift. However, when he reached when 2 people from our party arrived late, he tossed their coasters across the table to them instead of setting them down properly. It wasn’t a huge deal, but it gave a poor first impression. The meal itself went smoothly. We weren’t loud or disruptive...just eating and talking quietly. The issues started once we received our checks. I was charged $15.99 for chicken tenders instead of $7.99 for a kids size person... I politely asked for a manager, and she quickly fixed it. Everything seemed fine until the end of our visit. Matthew came back to the table with the checks an pointed to one of my friends, saying, “You were the only respectful one. So thank you.” The comment was uncalled for and honestly confusing, since literally did the bare minimum interactions with us during the meal... so how will he say someone is respectful or not?? None of us had been rude, so that remark felt unnecessary and out of line. A few minutes later, another employee walked past twice with her nasty look, then came over and abruptly told us we needed to leave. Her tone was straight up RUDE and dismissive from the start. When we asked why, she first said it was because they were closing soon and we’d been there too long. When we calmly pointed out that other tables had been there longer, she changed her explanation to say we’d been “causing problems all night,” which was simply untrue. We repeatedly asked to speak with our server or the manager, but she refused and said, “It doesn’t matter, you have to pay and leave.” When we asked again for the manager, she claimed the manager wasn’t there, which was laughable as one had helped me fix my check just minutes earlier. Thankfully, we were able to flag down another employee who went to get the manager herself. The manager came right out, was incredibly professional and understanding, but just gave us a rushed apology rather than confronting the ongoing issue. To add to the frustration, I also had a free Pizookie reward on my account that I mentioned to our server before paying. Matthew acknowledged it but never applied it to my check. It felt like yet another example of how little care or attention was given to our table. Overall, this experience was extremely disappointing. I understand that everyone has bad days, but basic professionalism and respect should still be a standard, no matter who the guests are. The way our group was treated left a very negative impression.

C
Cassie Niemiec

Sat in self seating and the table was dirty, waitress came and asked if we wanted it clean....said, yes so she huffed off never to come back. Another women came didn't speak English, she cleaned tje table. Then a guy came picked up receipt and walked off. Waited and waited then finally he comes and by that time we had enough. We liked this place but what happened here was clearly unprofessional.

K
Kimberly Marcus

Food was lukewarm at best. Always freezing regardless of the season. Thank goodness for our waitress to offer to warm up the food. Used to be our go to restaurant but going to have to find another one.

J

If I could give zero stars, I would. We’ve eaten at this location before, but this was the first time we experienced such rude, inconsiderate, and unprofessional service. On 7/29/25 at about 7:30 p.m., my 20‑year‑old daughter and 15‑year‑old son had dinner at BJ’s in South Hills Village. Both of my children have food allergies. When they informed their server, Matt, he rolled his eyes, and his attitude and service declined from that point forward. My son asked about gluten‑free options. Matt didn’t know what was available and offered to get a manager, but my son declined and ordered a gluten‑free white pizza. Thankfully, that order came out correctly. My daughter, however, was not as lucky. She clearly stated, “I have a dairy allergy, but I’ve eaten here before. I’d like a classic hamburger.” Matt responded, “Oh yeah, a cheeseburger.” She corrected him. When her meal arrived, it was a classic hamburger but served with an orange sauce under the bun—something she could not eat. After dropping off the food, Matt never checked back and had to be called over. When the mistake was pointed out, he appeared visibly annoyed, took the food back, and returned with the manager. The manager apologized, but Matt remained upset and refused to speak to my daughter when she later tried to address the situation calmly. The atmosphere became so uncomfortable that my daughter left the table and waited in the car to calm down. Later, other staff mentioned that Matt was upset because the kitchen and managers were upset with him. When we dine out, we don’t expect perfection, but we do expect basic courtesy and safe service—especially when food allergies are involved. This experience was unacceptable. We will not be returning.
