El Pueblito is a smaller Mexican restaurant with attentive service and tasty food, especially the carnitas and chicken burritos. The beans and salsa are frequently praised. Some customers have reported inconsistent food quality and slow service at times.
Tip: The margaritas are fair priced, tart, and tasty. Also, try the piña (pineapple water drink).
I'm impressed waitress service friendly very sweet friendly, order food, give chips &Salas.
A very nice, smaller sit down Mexican restaurant. I had chicken enchiladas, rice and beans. The chips were good with the salsa a bit on the spicy side. Serving size was above average. Margaritas at $6.99 were fair priced, tart and tasty. Dining area had tables and booths. Service was fast. Nice selection of dinners and ala cart. Plenty of shared parking in the strip mall area.
Very good Mexican food, Im Asian but I love it. Very kind server , the food price is very good and it was a lot
I love the food here and service is very nice too!
Staff was very attentive they constantly check in on you if you dine in and they give great recommendation if you ask. The food was also very good!

Great prices and DELICIOUS. The only legit Mexican food nearby. I recommend a carne asada torta. 1 round of FREE chips and salsa is nice too.
Tried the Mexican style steak and loved it. they are clean and respectful. A bit more smiles would give it the plus.
Great little spot, food is very good. Try a torta with carne asada and chorizo special order but it is awesome. Gorditas Al Pastor are great too, love this little modest place.
Came in for the first time got the steak fajitas and they were really good.i would definitely come back
Mexican food was really good, and the service was excellent. Price very reasonably
An AMAZING DINNER From this Very cute clean Restaurant. Very friendly and food is priced very reasonably. Will be a return customer.
I'm always weird about eating Mexican...i only like my mom's, but i was pleasantly surprised at this place. Micheladas are great too 🍺
Love this place, we go every Sunday after service! Best authentic food for a great price, awesome, friendly staff.
This place has really good, authentic tacos and a good selection of bottled Mexican beers.
Excellent food at fair prices. Place fills up at lunch time. Get there around 1100 to beat the rush.
The food is simple yet traditional, most of all the food tastes great! Service is also exceptional.
Excellent food for an excellent price with excellent service. Ask for the bottled hot sauce- the green sauce tastes amazing
The best authentic Mexican food around. And after 10 years of eating here, the staff has become like family.
Just like homemade! First place my mom actually likes in a long time!
Absolutely fantastic! Have been coming here at least once a week ever since we discovered it. My personal favorite: torta asada.
Food had great flavor. Service was quick and courteous.
Spent brunch with my hiking friends and the food were all delicious.
Love this little jem. The food is amazing and they are very nice. Food.is very well priced.
If you are looking for a good traditional mexican food restaurant, here it is. All the waiters are running around, but still very friendly and smily. Reasonably priced, lots to eat.
We moved away to Oregon 5 years ago but had a chance to come back to California for a visit. This was the first place we had to go. We were not disappointed! The tacos, chips, and salsa were just as excellent as always.
Great prices, tasty food. Very, very nice and welcoming staff!!! For the price you really can’t beat this place, and I forgot to mention the large portions!!! You really need to try it!
Authentic Mexican food. Friendly staff. Been coming here for years with my family and never disappointed. Just be warned that some of the dishes are super spicy. Love their soups. Great breakfast burritos.
This place is one of the few left, with decent Mexican food, good service and affordable price.
The amount of value at El Pueblito is incredible. The food is as close to authentic as you can get in California, the service is great, and the restaurant is clean and just all around fantastic.
Love this place. My wife and I eat here all the time and ALWAYS enjoy the service and food. The food is as close to authentic Mexican as you can get with great prices. 🙂👍
i love this restaurant. the workers have great customer service. 10/10 for food. their carne asada is one of my favorites! i recommend
This is my go-to local restaurant for Mexican fare. Solid wide-ranging menu, good service, bilingual, food specials daily, and very affordable prices. I have been to all other mex restaurants in Yorba Linda and east Brea. Nothing tops this authentic and traditional gem.
I come here for the carne asada and carnitas tacos/burritos. Chile rellanos and tacos are also great. Also, the courtesy salsa they give with chips is some of the best. Only complaint, could use more seating sometimes... but that's only because it is popular.
Delicious food at a more than fair price! This is my go-to spot for Mexican food.
Go to place for good eating. They will custom make any dish you want. My latest is a Chili Relleno burito. Had them make it with Chilis, cheese and sour cream. Loved it.
Very good food very good waitress very good seating I'm absolutely amazed at the authentic Mexican food that they provide here. And they explain a lot if you have questions
Nice, family owned Mexican food restaurant. Food is great, prices low. Everything is fresh. My go to place for everything from burritos to tacos.
Love this hole in the wall. Nice service and always a crowd. It's that good. Prices a little higher than they were, but still resonable. Always great and fresh!
This place is family owned and the people are wonderful. The food is very good, especially the carne asada. Prices are good as well. They won't disappoint.
Been coming here for years. Consistently delicious, love the staff, and never an issue with my order.
I don't want to tell you how good this place is, because then you'll go there. The most amazing Al Pastor and Deshebrada!! Get the tacos or the Caldo de Pollo! And the homemade horchata is the bomb.
the food is absolutely really, better than other places I've been to.
been here forever. great food authentic mexican. very good prices. maybe some day they will change or at least fix the vertical blinds that have been since before they were there. haha.
The food is AMAZING! The staff are very kind and attentive and the restaurant was clean but the food is so Delicious it was hard to focus on anything else.
Hidden gem and what a great find. Breakfast all day and they have a variety of range of Mexican food. Definitely a must.
I had the pork tamale, only tamale meat available Small basic place, staff was good, salsa a bit spicy for me, but I don't eat spicy
The food is always great, prepared by an experienced chef. Great flavors, excellent presentation, and a lot of good for the money. Great value. Wonderful service. Cant say enough good things.
This place is great! My husband and I have been eating at this place for years. They have good food and everyone is super friendly. It's affordable and I love their tacos! We are always welcomed with a smile, they make us feel at home. I totally recommend this place!
Best Mexican food in town for the price. You get a large portion and leftovers for the next day are almost guaranteed. I really like their beans and rice. The family is very kind and helpful.
It's my favorite local spot for good food. The service is nice but no frill type. Atmosphere is sorta bland. The place is absolutely good value though. Mom and pop type restaurant. I had the beef fajitas today and it was delicious. Had their plate tacos and that was good too. I see regular customers coming back like me. You won't go away hungry here.
I had the best breakfast burrito. I had a carne asada, cheese, bean and egg burrito. The best breakfast burrito I've had in Brea, Yorba linda and placentia area. It's hard to find real and authentic Mexican food. I highly recommend this place.
We have been going to El Pueblito for many years. Our experience has always been great. The food, service and friendliness. You are always made to feel welcome. We had a wonderful lunch today. Thank you El Pueblito.🌶
Great family owned restaurant with excellent food and service. I have been going here weekly for more than 11 years now. Can't go wrong with anything, but my favorite is one cheese enchilada and one cheese enchilada with a fried egg on top, rice, and beans. Yum!
Great, simple Mexican food. No frills, just good flavor. Good chips and salsa. My wife loves their huevos con chorizo and I'm a fan of their carnitas. For the price, it's hard to beat in the area.
Delicious food. Never had a bad experience there. My family went to that place with me back when I was a baby because we used to live very close by and we would go after church. As my family doesn’t go to this place as much in 2021 because we live further away now, we still go on occasion and I love going. Thank you guys for just bringing a great experience here. 😁😁😁
I had some nice & hot menudo. Yummy! It was extra delicious this time around. Their Chile Verde plate is also very good with just the right amount of spiciness! Good food, good people! 👍😊👍😊
El Pueblito has the best shredded beef on the planet. The staff is incredible and the prices are fantastic. Their Caldo de Pollo hits just right on cold nights and their salsa is :::chef's kiss:::. I love this place!
Really wanted to like this place. Shells appeared to be pre-made & meat was salty. I'd be willing to try it again. Maybe it was just an off night. Their beans were fire though!!! I'd go back just for those. Salsa was really good too!
Love this place both as a takeout spot and for an easy sit down lunch or dinner. Their meat is a highlight: the chicken in the burritos is some of the best I’ve had at any Mexican restaurant and my wife really likes the carnitas.
Nice place and the service is great. The food was really good! I’d definitely recommend this place.
Had a very good carnitas burrito, good taquitos and good to go service, restaurant was clean inside.

I had the Caldo De Pollo (chicken soup) because I had a cold and wasn’t feeling well. Mexican soup always makes me feel better ❤️ The ladies that were taking care of the table service are very nice and kind. The place is very clean and very cozy. There’s so much parking in that little plaza. Great location, good vibes over all in that area.
Good! The salsa will take you south of the order. Crispy chips! I ordered the combo plate with steak taco, cheese enchilada and cheese quesadilla. Try the piña! It’s a pineapple water drink. Sweet!
Caldo de Pollo is good, soda de albondigas was too oily, red enchilada was okay. I like the fact the kitchen is in plain view and you can watch the cooks dish up your food. Not crowded at 530pm.

Good quality family Mexican restaurant. Fast servit's good fast service good place to go when you don't know where else you wanna go to
One of our favorites for mexican food. Reasonably priced.
Tasty home made style mexican food. The tortillas are delicious.
I had the 2Taqitos platter with guacamole rice and beans and my friend had carnita platter with rice and beans and flour Tortillas... Yummmy!
1st time visit. Will definitely tell friends and come back. Food is great. Staff very friendly
Its a great little spot. Great service. I've been going there for years. Nothing extravagant but a quality experience.
Good tacos. The chicken soup was lacking flavor, and the chicken was tough and slightly rubbery 😕
This place is a nice cozy family restaurant. The food is good and great portions. The service was fast and and attentive.
Great food we have been here a number of time and have had different dishes and never disappointed. The only reason not five stars is sometimes the service is a little slow.
Good food and reasonable pricing. Salsa is really good. Very busy at lunch!
Great burritos, ask for the al pastor with guacamole! Their chicken is also actually tasty and spicy unlike 90% of Mexican places.
Good Mexican food. Tortilla chips and salsa it's not the best. Grilled chicken is much better than the shredded chicken or carne on tacos and burritos
Ok, so it's been years since I've been here to eat. Food is much improved from years ago. I think this restaurant has turned the corner in my book. MUCH better restaurant experience today. Food was really good, service was great and restaurant was really clean. Prices are reasonable considering the times we're all in. I will be coming back to eat here soon!
Great Mexican food. I've never had a bad meal here. I mostly take my food to go. I've subtracted one star for the dine-in experience. The girls are nice, but slow. Also, the climate control leaves something to be desired. It gets really hot in there. So in conclusion, five stars for takeout. Four for dine-in.
Real great place of an environment for a sit down meal, being to much on the go we need somewhere to just sit and eat, the servers are cool and the food is great I left so full they low key hook it up my plate was not skimped.
I have worked down the street from this place for the past 10 years and it's a staple in our lunch rotation at the office. The place can get a little busy at lunch on occasion, but usually a seat can be found. You just walk in and grab any open seat and someone will bring you chips and salsa within a minute or so. The wait staff is small but they work like a well oiled machine and can't ever remember waiting for our food longer than what you would expect. Everyone there has been working there the entire time I have been a customer and they have that friendly atmosphere there and always greet you with a smile. Food wise, they have all the traditional items that you'd find at a Mexican restaurant in Southern California, but my favorites are the fajitas (steak or chicken are both excellent), hard shell tacos, and their chimichangas is also delicious. The only item I avoid is the enchiladas, but I'm super picky about my enchiladas and I'm just not a big fan of theirs.
Friday night return visit after several years. I forgot how good the food was. I had the carnitas plate. It was prepared how I like it, and served in a more than ample quantity. This is a place to go for no frills but tasty, hearty plates of food.

3.5 stars. Typical little hole in the wall Mexican restaurant.Nothing special but wouldn't tell you to avoid. Prices are reasonable and food is ok.I tried the chilaquilles and the sauce was ok but not great, at least the chips were crispy though. Wife had the combination plate and thought it was ok. Popular place though, was almost full the entire time we were there with people coming and going.

Prices on menu shown are not current. Also, check your bill on a take-out orders because a tip maybe included.
Took 30 minutes to even place our order, only happened when I approached the counter and asked a girl behind the counter "What happened to our waiter?" The food was good, had to ask for refill on my water. Perhaps we caught them on a day when they were shorthanded, or they need to hire more help.
Used to eat there alot, but there prices are getting out of control. Now in this time of an epidemic. Businesses are hurting. I ask for a salsa for my meal to go, which normally comes with the meals for free. She ranged it up for 4 buck's. I'll go elsewhere.
While I'm caucasian, all these high ratings must be from caucasians that don't know good and authentic tasting mexican food. All 4 of us thought each dish we ordered was far from good.
Decent food but today they were playing Spanish rap crap (music?) They used to play oldies which were really good. The annoying rap totally ruins the dining experience.
First time there. The chips where hard. Didn't look fresh. The salsa was a bit spicy hot.. I ordered the beef fajitas . It came in a regular plate, with a sauce . The beef was not very tender, but edible. The side beans came lukewarm Tortillas was very good Will I go back? I don't know. But if I do, I will order something else
I came here a few months back, food was great! Service was great! Now, a few months later, the service is terrible, the carne asada is not carne asada... and you get charged and extra 10 dollars for a slim strip of steak... last time I came here it was 40ish dollars and they had real carne asada included in the plate. My dad was also disappointed, I feel bad because it is his birthday and we chose here based on our last visit. Es la última vez que venimos. 🤷🏻♀️
Maybe those who worked today were not the normals. Or maybe the food is better if you eat there and not take out. I was suppose to get a carnitia burrito. It was more like boiled pork roast wrapped in a soggy tortilla . No flavor and needed all the salsa we received for our chips to give it any taste. There was not even enough foil to cover the burrito to keep it warm. Maybe today was training for a new cook? I am really hoping this was an off day. With all the other good to excellent reviews it must have been, right?
I don't know what was worse the service or food. Salsa was tasteless. It took my server 25 minutes to bring my check cuz she was talking to another table like they were friends thar hadn't seen each other in years.. Needless to say I WONT be back
We were here a few weeks ago and got extreme food poisoning a few hours later. We ended up in E.R at Placentia-Linda hospital. The hospital thought undercooked chicken. We have eaten here dozens of times, no problem. This was a first. The food is great but be aware.

Writing this as I’m eating my food… First of all, after over two decades of business they are still putting in lettuce and tomato inside their burritos!!! I sometimes forget to ask to take it out, because no other Mexican place that I have been to does this. But when I forget to, my day is almost ruined and it is pretty much what triggered me to write this review. The lettuce and tomato get so warm and nasty inside the steaming burrito, put it on the side or something along with sour cream. The meat quality today was also very bad and I’m for sure it was on the end of its shelf life sitting in a warmer for the whole day… Also, compared to menu prices only 4-5 years ago, prices have rose 25-40% minimum. I did the math and my order 4 years ago would have been just under $22. Today? A whopping $30!!! It sucks that this place is local, but food quality has gone down while prices have gone up. That is almost a sure fire method of going out of business. Did not receive itemized receipt with order. I believe that is the norm here, but who knows what they are charging. Would have given 2 stars but docking it down to 1 stars for the shadiness towards customers/taxes. I would not eat here for food health and safety reasons alone, but the lack of freshness due to the laziness/stinginess of the owner/chefs is what kills whatever remaining authenticity this place had left. Just go over to del taco for similar quality food at half the price. The cherry on top is also the horrible plaza and parking lot this place is in. No wonder Carls Hr closed here.
I'm not kidding and i'm not trying to be mean here. Whatever you do, don't eat here. Stale chips,.god awful carne asada and the wet sock they called a chile releno was not edible. When the waitress asked how it was going I said "it is what it is". She laughed. Wish I could write something good but it just isnt there.

I used to love going here...buy today was the last day...I walk in for a bowl of Albondigas and 2 tacos...$30.42....yall ain't all that...that's almost a sit down meal in a fancy restaurant....you're a walk in Albertos...so you lost a customer...I get things are more expensive these days but we are talking about 2 small tacos and 1 bowl of Albondigas...never again
First time trying this place I'm not usually in this area for work. I only get 30 min. lunch break drove by figured i try it. I ordered an asada burrito with a med. drink 10 bucks. The brown to go bag it was in had some grease on it didn't think much about it. I get back to work unwrap my burrito out of the foil and there is so much grease on it, in it, everywhere. Hardly any meat more bean, cheese, and grease. The meat wasn't even asada it was carnitas!? Never again.
We dined in after my daughter's dance recital. I looked up menudo and this was the closest. I took my family with sisters, immediately as we sat down both waitress were not friendly to my sister's. Immediately got a bad vibe from both that they did not want to be there or wait on us. Service. We waited up to 20 mins for our food and they brought it out to each person delayed. So one had food while the other was waiting. Food. The food, I got chorizo and eggs, chorizo was kinda bland a little overcooked. My sister got a plate with sunny side eggs. She almost threw up, the egg was not cooked right and leaked all over her other food. Atmosphere. My sister said she didn't want the food, an they just rolled their eyes and walked away. Didn't even want to help us anymore after that. When we left we basically didn't tip. Now I understand normally this is never acceptable, but this was obviously a horrible experience that could of been better, especially with the amount of stars this place had.
DO NOT EAT HERE. I ordered a veggie burrito, wet with red sauce and there was ZERO flavor. The beans, which normally is the star of a veggie burrito (or any burrito for that matter) were bland to put it mildly. The cherry on top was that the damned this was microwaved! The interior ingredients were crazy hot, not the fresh out of the pot kind of hot, but the kinda heat that over does it with a microwave. All in all, this was a very lazy approach to food preparation. I'd be embarrassed to own and serve this "food" at this establishment. The restrooms...well when you can smell them from the hallway... 'nuff said. Save the money and and get the same kind of slop for less at del taco. Good luck....
The food was terrible but the customer service was excellent. I got two hard shell beef tacos, two asada tacos, a cheese enchilada and a chili relleno. The asada tacos one bite and I tossed out. The shredded beef tacos were soggy. The relleno was ok so was the cheese enchilada. Also google maps says it was busy. There was like two small groups in there and no wait. Sorry but this is a mega pass and financial food loss for me.
