Great flavors, very nice staff, and a relaxed family atmosphere. Tons of well-executed and uncommon natural flavor choices, as well as all the normal stuff.

There are so many choices of ice cream flavors and ice cream bars and popcicles. The signs in the front say O'Briens Ice Cream and so that might be deceiving.

The ice cream served here is AMAZING. They have so many different and unusual flavors to choose from! (Ex. Corn, cheese, guava) But my personal favorite is the cookies and cream.

It's weird that Guanatos got bought out and rebranded, but they still have the same amazing ice cream, which is what matters to me. I've had Tillamooks, Cold Stones, Cream, Baskin Robbins, Haagen Dazs, Ben and Jerry's, and ice cream from a few different university creameries where the locals all swear it's the best ice cream on Earth. I still think Guanatos/O'Brien's is the best ice cream I've ever had.

5 stars for friendliness of the staff. 5 stars for variety of flavors; this is their strength. 4 stars for quality. Awesome array of Latin American flavors like horchata, Aroz con leche, cajeta etc as well as staples like strawberry and chocolate. They have both cream based ice cream and sorbets, as well as popsicles (cream and juice based). There are a few misses, there have to be with the amount of flavors and types they produce, but are overall quite good. Just sample a lot! My favorite is the horchata.

OMG!!! All those yummy flavors!!! From traditional favorites to exotics. It's a good thing they're a fair distance from where we live, or we'd look like Sumo wreztlers!

I love this place. Wife and I come here every now and again for shakes. The handmade ice cream is SOOOO TASTY! Staff is always very nice, just wish we could tip on a card! The girls working definitely deserve more than what they're getting and since nobody really caries cash around anymore, we cant help them out! Wonderful place. Was looking for a different ice cream place other than the usual Baskin robins I usually goto. Store was super clean and Service was excellent, quick and courteous. Tried Lucuma, RosePetals and Mango flavors. Just loved the Lucama the most.

I’ve been craving for something sweet and my husband found this gem! They have unusual flavors to choose from. I visited the newest drive thru location in Pittsburg and was pleasantly surprised at how flavorful the ice cream scoop I purchased was. This will be a nice option when the weather gets warmer!

I love there mangonada. They have variety of homemade flavor where avocado is so good. I like there guava and passion fruit flavor too

Excellent all around but only complaint is that they don't let you mix and match. You have to get separate orders of each flavour in different cups/cones What.!!

Not much room but they have a couple really comfy couches, a small table for toddlers and absolutely delicious flavors you won't find anywhere else like avocado or orchata!

Had an order of the Nassberry Ice Cream (~$3): sapodilla ice cream with hint of sweetness. Food was delicious, staff was professional, and the ambiance was kid-friendly.

The ice cream is a standard sweet and creamy. But it has too many chunks of ice and food. Although the staff there speak Spanish and they are very kind and patient. The logo inside is the old one so don’t get confused.

But the last time I went not only did the smoothie go up from 8.50 to 10 but the size went down with no notice! I feel kind of scammed and frustrated! The left smoothie is from a month-ish ago and the right is from a week ago!

Went in Friday night with the family. Very unfriendly staff. The drive thru one in Martinez is much better.

Purchased a banana split for $9. Ice cream was good but service... not in line with these other reviews. It was 100 degrees out - so I asked if I could get a larger water cup (the ones they provide are small Dixie cups). I was made to feel like I was asking for something extravagant. “Just this time” I was told, with a finger wagging to boot. I offered to pay for the water cup - I was made to feel like I was doing something wrong. Disappointing.

Love the ice cream but the phone number doesn’t work work so no way to get ahold of them and they don’t include all their flavors on doordash so why even bother- big problem if people can’t get ahold of you

First time customer. Tried the Rice Pudding and Key Lime Pie ice creams. The rice seemed partially raw plus had large clumps of rice that was barely chewable. The Key Lime Pie had a mild flavor. I was hoping for a bolder lime taste with pieces of graham crackers.

First time customer here on a Saturday night. 7:30 PM and it's closed. Won't be back to try it. Disappointed.

Great ice cream, polite and professional service. But the sign there claims: "We reserve the right to refuse the service to anyone". It is inapropirate and I feel offended by this sign. I will change my mark when the offensive sign is removed.

This is my go to place for when im craving icecream which is usually in the evening. so when i was rushing to get to guanatos before they closed yesterday around 745pm i managed to get in the door at 759 pm when they were closing at 8pm. Now i work in customer service so i can understand that its not ideal for some one to come in a minute before you close but regardless if someone comes in before we close wether its 2 mins or 1 minute i would never turn a customer away. And unfortunately that's what happened. I walked in the door 1 minute before they were closing and there was even a line full of people ahead of me but this girl that was working told me that she still had to close everything up and i was surprised. All i can say was "really?" And she just said "yah really" i was so upset i just walked out and decided to just write this review. Like i said i love this place but after that i dont think im gonna be going back because i am huge on customer service and to turn away a customer like that before your even closing and ontop of that you have a line of customers,I dont understand that.

Visiting from out of town and was headed to jamba juice when i saw this small ice cream shop next door and decided to give the little business my money. 1st it took a bit for anyone to notice the guy in line before me. Once i got my turn, I ordered 2 scoops, 1 being guava that was chock full of guava seeds, which are hard, cant chew and get stuck in teeth and NOT meant to be in ice cream. Totally ruined my first scoop that cost 4.50. I went back in to tell them and they said that is normal, that guava have seeds. I asked to have a spoon so i could throw away the guava scoop and eat what was left of the first scoop. She didnt care. Definitely will not be back.

Store was clean but they were playing rap music peppered with curse words and other very inappropriate words. We got our ice cream (they were out of rum raisin which we used to get a half gallon for our elderly neighbor) and went outside to sit down and enjoy our ice cream. As we sat down outside we realized they were piping aforementioned wholly inappropriate music outside.., it was quite surreal.

It was bad enough that they only offered vanilla flavored sugar free ice cream—now they offer NO sugar free options. Never going back.

It’s disappointing to see a place that used to be great drop the ball. Hope you take this feedback seriously.
