I might be biased coming from the area, but I've lived in Boston and Washington now and spent plenty of time in New York City, and this remains some of the best Chinese food I've had. Not to mention it is by far the best value for the money.

The chicken was tender, with good quality chunks, no gristle. The sauce was so good that I literally drank it when the food was done. Not one of those corn starch, or syrupy sauces. A good old fashioned sauce. Wow. I don't live close, but this place is worth the trip and I'll go again !

Very clean open kitchen. Great Gen Tzos chicken and fried rice. Parking in front is hit or miss. Free delivery is fast and they make change or accept telephone orders and credit cards.

Average chinese food. They've gone down hill slightly over the years, but overall not great, but not terrible. They do keep the place clean, so that's one reason I've gone back. One issue is cash only.

It was good a year ago, and all up until that point. Around late 2019 the owners changed and it has gone downhill since. The menu is the same and so is the name but everything else changed, and not for the better. The dishes are soggy and mushy and even the chicken dishes known for texture and consistency are now just hunks of fatty meat floating in sauce. It was a good place, sadly not anymore. And the prices have gone up with the new owners ontop of quality going down. Used to be a real genuine cook on the wok before. Not sure who is doing the prep and cooking now but something is off.

I used to love New China. It was my go to place for Chinese food. The last couple of times we ordered from there the food was just marginal at best. The Shrimp Fried Rice had no flavor at all. It was just bland rice with flavorless shrimp. Nothing else!

Not sure what happened, but The food was pretty bad. The pork fried rice was either undercooked or old. It was very dry and a little crunchy. The Lo Mein was OK, but salty. The eggroll was tough and chewy. Used to be some of the best chinese takeout around. Hoping it was just an off night.

I asked for pepper steak no onion combination plate and they gave me literally a plate a peppers, that’s gotta be a whole ONE pepper chopped up so perfectly there, the rice is crunchy and the steak is chewy, all this for $15 dollars, as a resident it breaks my heart that this is the only Chinese food spot in port Ewen, i suggest ppl eat somewhere else
