Very friendly staff,quick service and delicious food

Yummy Vietnamese food. My vietnamese friend recommended this place for it's authentic food.

I absolutely love this place. I have been eating here since this location opened and it has been amazing. Since the pandemic I have been ordering delivery/pick up and no matter how many notes I leave or requests for utensils they only ever seem to include them 10%, and they have little bundles of spoons and chopsticks. That would be the only downside for me. Great food in pretty big portions for about $10.

Fastest phò I have ever received and it tasted every bit as delicious as a home cooked noodle soup. I plan to return very soon. Wait staff was also attentive and I was seated immediately... So that probably also indeed assisted the quick ready meal.

Amazing price for amazing pho. I wish I took pictures of our food but a witch was hungry. The restaurant itself was very clean and calm. The service staff was amazing and friendly. They have this cute robot with a cute animated face that takes/delivers plates of food. It was sooo cute 😍 Me and my BF loved the pho here, it was so flavorful. I just wish the chili oil was a bit more hotter. Spring rolls tasted fresh. Must try if you're in poway!!!

Edit: Vastly improved since opening! Haven't had a problem with parking, service is fast and accurate, and food is delicious. Accommodating for larger groups as well so this is one of our go-to places when family is visiting. Review adjusted. My husband and I came here around 5pm on a Friday and we got the last parking spot. There are maybe a dozen spots for 25+ tables. Definitely not enough parking. We were seated quickly since the restaurant was only around half full, however it got much busier closer to 5:30pm and I saw people waiting for a table for quite some time. The food was good but it took around 45 minutes for two bowls of Pho and an order of spring rolls. At other Pho Ca Dao locations that I've been to it takes maybe 5-10 minutes to get food after ordering. I did enjoy watching the fish tank while we waited. We will try eating at this location again in a month or so once the staff is more experienced.

First time here and had lunch on a Saturday. I had the grilled pork banh mi and grilled pork spring rolls. Both were delicious. The peanut sauce isn't that great, but I have always liked sriracha sauce better with my spring rolls anyway. Staff were nice and attentive. Place had a bar area with large TVs. Nice place to eat and inexpensive. I would definitely eat here again.

Their food here is great the pho is phenomenal. Their egg rolls are to die for. There happy hour during lunch always has good deals. I've been to a lot of Pho places but this one without a doubt is one of the best ones I've been to

Wow! My first time eating at this establishment. Great food...AWESOME portion. Great prices, ranging from $12.00 & up...I was very satisfied. The service was fine. Robot brought out the food; that's fascinating. Stayed for about & hour and chatted...quite & not to busy. Easy to get to in Poway. If you love trying different types of food, this place is definitely a spot to try.

Had the ox tail Pho. It needed a little heat for me, added a little sriracha and it was perfect.

Great food, pho ga (chicken noodle soup) is my favorite along with egg rolls, very fast, clean and good service. Plenty of seating with a huge fresh water aquarium in dinning area. I like to eat in but take out is super easy as well.

Amazing food, the grilled shrimp spring rolls were fantastic! The dipping sauces can be its own standalone item. The filet mignon pho was insanely tasty, as I write this my mouth is watering. Great ice cold beer selection, and a more than friendly staff, has this being my top spot.

Pho Ca Dao is a great choice for pho. They open earlier than most places which is great for me when I start work early. Tasty for sure and worth the visit

This is some of the most delicious and authentic food we have ever found. Always fresh and the service is friendly and quick. The prices can't be beat either. My wife has a favorite #66. I keep trying new dishes. Everything I try is fantastic and hers is consistently good. We are very happy with everything and return often. We see a lot of people do carry out, but we eat there every time.

I have no idea what this place’s rating is not higher. I had fried egg noodles with chicken and it was great. So was their spring rolls. Already added to my return spots and positivity recommend.

Pho Ca Dao & Grill always satisfies. Their food is authentic and always arrives hot and fresh. The atmosphere is pleasant, it's not a restaurant you would find at the 4-Seasons but it's not a "hole-in-the-wall" either, just nice, clean, and pleasant. Sometimes there may be a slight language barrier but that is to be expected when you go for authentic. You can't go wrong for a very tasty, reasonably priced, authentic Vietnamese food experience. BTW: A bowl of Pho is fantastic for breakfast and a great way to start your day!

Had ordered the brisket pho. The soup was so good. It wasn’t like other pho restaurants I went to. I also barely post any reviews but this restaurant and the staff really was kind. Ordered the tri-pudding (D5). Didn’t really know how to use it at first but the server showed and helped me and even gave me the pudding I ate that I ate the wrong way so I could really enjoy the food. God bless these guys I am so blessed with such a kind restaurant. Glory to God. Atmosphere and the place is very clean and spacious looks like a 5 star restaurant and if I could give them a ten star I would.

Food was flavorful and all ingredients were super-fresh. It was delivered to the table pretty soon after I ordered. Service was good and the wheeled delivery robot adds a touch of intrigue. Not many others there when I ate, but it feels like the kind of place that wouldn't fire up much even if it was busy, so atmosphere gets 3 stars.

One of the beautiful version. The veggie options are limited but tasty. Boba teas are always the best. The ceiling and oil painting are very artistic. Friendly staff. Paperless receipt transaction. Bar stools and huge TVs gives sports bar feel.

Had such a nice dinner here last night. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, perfect for a quiet meal. I love this Phó, it is tasty and satisfying. Now that it's getting cold at night it look forward to eating there. I really comment on their other food as I really only eat the Phó. Their wait staff has always been good. The food is served relatively fast. If you like spicy food request the chili oil when your food arrives. The oil is not super spicy but will put on a good sweat. They serve beer, have bar seating, and a TV or two usually with sports on. The place is kept clean. I highly recommend going there.

This is their grand opening evening. They had an abundance of customers which created a situation where they were overloaded. Add to that an inexperienced staff still in training created a very slow meal. We saw several tables leave for lack of attention by the wait staff. We waited ot out and we were glad we did. Great pho like each of the other locations we have been to. Give it a couple of weeks to get the new staff up to the right experience level and this will be a great place to enjoy Pho. This is badly needed in Poway. We look forward to our next visit where I fully expect to be able to give the 5 stays they should have

Had a bit of dodgy service tonight. We order takeout from here semi-frequently and ate out here once last year, but tonight when we went in the waiter at first didn't seem to understand what drinks we wanted to order. Then they gave us the wrong order and we had three plates that weren't ours sitting on the table for several minutes before they realized their mistake and put them back on the robot waiter thing. I didn't see what happened to the dishes but I hope they didn't give those ones to the proper table and instead made new dishes. We waited a while for the drinks but they didn't come and we had to ask for them. Then when they did, they gave my sister Sprite instead of lemonade. Turns out the waiter wrote down "Sprite" for her and didn't hear us say lemonade. The food is good but I'll think twice about dining in here next time.

My wife did not want to go because we had a bad meal at the Santee location. I am very happy to report that everyone in our party was very happy with the meal. We were not happy with the waiter that came to our table. He seemed to be bothered that we were in his restaurant. The rest of the help was nice and helpful.

Front of house is still learning. The food is every bit as good as their Mira Mesa location.

Came in the day after the grand opening, and you could definitely tell the staff was new and having difficulty keeping up with the full house. Came in at 5:30 and got the last open table. Ordered and waited about 40 minutes for our food to arrive. Waitress hardly stopped by and never offered a water refill. The food was okay, not quite as tasty than their Mira Mesa locations. The portion was smaller, at least for the bowl I got (Filet Mignon Pho, see side by side bowl picture). They skimped on the meat. Did not seem quite as good of a value as the Mira Mesa location. Hardly any parking, awkward angle to turn into from the street (it angles backward immediately). Will maybe try again in a few months, but for now, even though this one is closer, I would rather make the drive to the Mira Mesa location. And actually I'd probably just go to Pho Cow Cali actually instead.

I ordered a Pho soup, it was ok but warm not hot which is not an advantage for a good soup! Waiter was fine he was nice to us, but then he disappeared and other employees didn’t speak English normally so I couldn’t even ask anything which was really disappointed. Every dish had a lot of noodles. I couldn’t even taste the meat, I just could only taste noodles!!! The non-alcoholic mojito was fine. Overall 3! Not recommending! National Food Critic Mark Merkew!

Well to be honest was quite disappointed with the service. The food was great definitely a great place for pho however the staff was hard to talk to and not friendly. They were very quite and only did the absolute bare minimum along with giving you this vibe that they didn't want to be working. And I am not just saying this about one employee, there were at least 5 employees that all gave me this impression. As well as two of the employees didn't seem trained to be handling food from the way that they carried the bowl of soup by holding the inner lip of the bowl with their hands to refilling my cup of water and touching the pitcher to my glass. Definitely needs to be addressed. But other than that the food was very tasty and was quick to my table as well. So thumbs up for that.

First time to a Vietnamese restaurant. My son took us there for lunch. They enjoyed the the food. The menu is about 3 pages long, so a good selection of choices. The staff tried to find something that would have worked for me, but to no avail. Sorry, I am not used to the Vietnamese spices, and I did not enjoy the food. It was all prepared perfectly, everyone else enjoyed their food. I guess I'm just spoiled on my steaks and hamburgers. If you enjoy Vietnamese cuisine, you will enjoy your experience here.

Nice atmosphere, wasn’t impressed with the broth though of my pho, it wasn’t very aromatic and was rather salty. Portions were solid, price was solid, service was solid but broth is the most important part of a good bowl of pho, for me!

Went here for an early dinner with some friends. The staff are super friendly and they use a robot to help deliver the food (which delighted the young kid in our group, and also helps limit spilling of soup broth!). I had the vermicelli salad with shrimp and veggie egg roll. I was hoping for more greens in my salad (the lettuce was a little lacking in quantity and quality), and for a better dressing, and there were only a few small shrimp but those veggie eggrolls were DELICIOUS. Would go back for the eggrolls any time. I don't live in SD but this place is near my friend's house so wouldn't be surprised if we return and will happily update my review with more updates!

Service was not great, mainly the girls that greet you and take orders, they are just not very polite or professional, this happened every time I was here. Back of the house seems to run well, food is good and comes out pretty fast. You can taste the difference between this location and others, this one seems to be more toned down version of food compared to other places.

The food was good, but not my crunchy rice noodle nest with seafood on top. I got a flat hard to cut tortilla thickness noodles that only had (plenty) shrimp and lots of veggies. Sauce was good but not the traditional creamy tan sauce I love. Not ordering that again.

Pho broth is good, the small size has too much noodle with little broth which make everything luke warm. I ordered Soda Chanh Muoi, asking twice but it didn’t come until I finished the food, too little chanh muoi and lots of sugar, wouldn’t order it again. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all at the time.

Also came with bone marrow. We ordered classic spring rolls as take out. Glad we gave this place another chance during lunch. It’s the same menu all day.

I ordered fried tofu soup and asked for tofu on the side with no luck so it got super soggy. The broth was good but my sprouts were all browning and didn't look fresh. I ordered broken rice plate with chicken and beef for my husband and it was disappointing. The meat was over cooked and most of the beef was all fat with little to no actuall meat. Seems like prep work is a little sloppy lazy with cutting pots out of tomatoes and the slicing and prepping of meats.

I like pho this spot. It was not to salty but clean broth. The food was decent, servers are kind and they were checking our table good. However, please turn on AC while business hours because eating hot pho soup and sweating so much isn't fun! I understand you guys want to save some $ from spending AC but it is important keep to air cool for your clients! I don't think we will go back to eat in summer time.

Unfortunately the customer service from our waitress was lacking...I dont think she even said hello to us when she came over to take our order. The place was loud with plates and cups being throw onto the carts. There is a strong cleaning odor when you enter. The egg rolls were luke warm. Just not a good experience at all.

Want to start off by saying food was great! I finished my whole bowl! That being said, nothing leaves a more sour taste in my mouth then when an employees shows off to another employee how much in tips they have made. Especially when you are working and customers are listening to your conversation. Place is advertised online to close at 9 and we were being pushed out the door at 8:10. Maybe one or two other tables beside ours, Our Waiter brought our food and that was it. We were never asked if we wanted anything else, we were just brought a check before my wife could even finish her food. Honestly, if your gonna give such bad service, just advertise your business as TOGO ONLY. What was hoped for a nice dinner/evening turn into a distasteful experience filled with good food but lackluster customer service

They forgot like half our takeout order (dipping sauces, and the soups that are listed as coming with the sandwiches on the menu) Also there's a ton of random charges that come with carry out (carryout fee, gratuity, convenience, and two others) The food that we did get was alright but tbh even what we got, there's better stuff for less in the area.

Not a busy night. They delivered the wrong dish. The older lady seemed a bit upset when we told her about the mix-up. I thought my dish came with one meat and the other choices cost more. I got the one I paid extra for only. The restaurant in Mira Mesa we feel is so much better.

Food was ok. Service was not. Asked for no cucumber in my dish, got no cilantro instead. Asked for a split check for 2 parties at the start of the meal and they didn’t, then when it was split after asking again they forgot to charge us for one item and could not tell us whose it was. Also had to stop a waiter and ask for water then remind them to bring it the next time they walked by. I understand there were issues but they seem like things i could forgive if they had opened this location recently. That is not the case. There is a perfectly good pho place down the street, ill be going there once again. The robot waiter ferrying food around is novel as an idea and has been there since open and that worked well.

Just ordered from uber eats, and the pho was tasteless, no flavor whatsoever! It was a mess, there were two bowls one with hot water and veggies, and another broth bowl. They added two sides of noodles...it's the worst pho I've ever had. I wish i can get my money back! The grilled tofu spring roll was ok.

I order pho from this place regularly. Food is decent but they do not package your food properly for delivery. At least one of my orders a week comes spilled over into the bag. This has become a problem. I will cease ordering from this place until they can better package orders for delivery.

I don't really know how to rate this place. I usually get my Vietnamese sandwiches in North Park, but I was out this way today. The sandwich was particularly small and I feel like they made it that way because of the area we are in. Charge more, give less type thing. I have never in my life had a Vietnamese sandwich that was so small 🤷 but it was very good just small portions for the amount of money you spend

Ordered lastnight and as we got home and preparing for dinner, I noticed that an item was missing. It was the extra grilled chicken. I called the restaurant and spoke to one of the asian lady employee and explained to her the situation. She said to come back the next and bring the receipt. I went back to the restaurant the following day and spoke to the lady manager. She said that she only knew about the DRINK issue and not the chicken which I had explained again to her. She called the person that I talked to yesterday and couldn't understand what was going on. I even said that I will order more food but I want them to add the missing item yesterday, and she went in the kitchen and argued with the chef and couldn't decide what needs to be done over a $5 item. I told her that I will not order anything any more and demanded my refund! I got soo upset that a restaurant manager is incompetent and unable to make a decision over a $5 item that they messed up on. I don't recommend coming in to this restaurant because we know for a proven fact that their food isn't as good as other local vietnamese restaurants in the area. They are more expensive that the other Asian restaurants and you always have to worry about your missing order. No wonder, another customer was very upset yesterday as I was about to leave with my order. Another unhappy and upset customer. Seems like there's a trending pattern with this place.

Be careful in ordering from DoorDash. I ordered a pho and was only delivered broth, meat and noodles. No condiments whatsoever. No bean sprouts, no mint, nothing. The soup was also cold.

Food is actually good but service is terrible. My dinner came first then after a long while our appetizer came out about halfway through my dinner. Then after asking 2 more times my wife finally got her dinner and it was bairley warm... If she was not starving we would have sent it back. I hope they get there kitchen and act together. Running out of patience... The service and poorly Rin kitchen will kill this place.

A Weird Dining Experience! The dining experience started with walking in and standing at the front entrance for five minutes at the restaurant. We eventually got seated and got our menus. Our waiter comes back a few minutes later and we order chicken pho, beef stew pho, and two glasses of water. He comes back with sprouts and sauces for the pho and asks if we still want water. I thought it was kinda weird cause we just order water, but said yes and thought nothing of it. Then are pho's arrived, the first bite of the beef in the beef stew pho was cold! And if it wasn't cold it was a bit chewy. The waiter comes back and I tell him that the beef is cold and I no longer want it and instead I will just get an order of spring rolls. He walks away to talk to someone and a few minutes later someone else comes over to the table. He then starts to explain to me why my beef in my pho is cold instead of just taking it! And while I was sitting there I was thinking I don't care why the beef is cold, I just don't want pho with cold beef. By the end of it, he eventually said he will take it and get me a new one but by then I already lost my appetite. The spring rolls never came and for the chicken pho, my friend said it was good. It was nothing special but by no means the worst chicken pho they ever had. We go to the counter to pay and the beef pho we didn't eat was on the bill, we ask him to remove it and he does. And that was that! The waiter was nice but with everything that happened, I can't say I recommend this place. And for the wait at the front door, I believe they were just understaffed and busy with the dinner rush. Nonetheless, it was a weird dining experience.

Sometimes I am just shocked by the service at some restaurants. This place falls into that category. We were promptly seated and then ignored for 15min. They would walk by over and over never taking our drink order. As for the food the pho broth is good but wasn't hot enough to cook the noodles.

The reason why I went there is the soup. The rest of the food is not that great. The customer service is absolutely horrible! We tried calling in our order and nobody was answering the phone. When I got to the location there was three people outside waiting to be seated and only five couples in the entire restaurant and outdoor Empty, like really. I went up to the counter by passing everybody standing outside and placed my order. I asked why are you not answering your phone? The reply was “too busy’,,,, What a joke! I placed my order for soup because my wife is not feeling well and when leaving some of the customers outside ASKED, how did you get your order? Some of them were totally frustrated too as no one was answering the phone. Customer standing outside scratching their heads. They had like six employees in there running around with their heads cut off. Not sure what the deal is with this organization. 1 Star! Never going back to this chain restaurants again. Poway Mike

Took a long time to take my order, young kids thtat are servers seemed confused when I ordered pho rare steak then encouraged me. I to order that.? Very weird. When I payed, the man behind the counter was very rude.

The dine in experience isn’t that great. Started ordering out from them and my soup came completely spilled in the bag. My order this evening I ordered a large pho and I received maybe 3 pieces of steak and they never gave me my coffee. Pho Cow Cali in MM is the best spot, better food, way better service!

The food we ordered are raw we scared to eat because not properly cooked but the boba is good

The chicken sandwich is listed as $8 on their menu then they charge $10.25. The spoons were super dirty where one of them had a noodle on it. The management should do better and turn this around.

Loved this place but today was horrible. They forgot an item in my order, I got all the way home (Ramona) before I realized it. I know, I should have checked better. I called them and they acted like they were doing me a favor making me what I already ordered and paid for. When I got there there was no apology, or anything. Got home again and in the vegetarian order they gave me regular fish sauce not the vegetarian one we know and love. Horrible horrible experience. So bummed.

Terrible take out service. I order take out here about once a month and typically have to call several times over the course of an hour hoping to get an answer. I usually customize the order and because of this online ordering typically gets the order wrong. Leaving the only option to go into the store, order, and wait for the food which takes up much of my lunch break. This is very frustrating and has slowly caused me to order less and less often. I enjoy the food so I’m hoping there is an update in the future to address this.

I was hoping for a good Vietnamese place to open in poway. Sadly the first visit was quite underwhelming. Grilled chicken came out cold. It was amazing how dry the meat were in the pho noodle soup. Worst offense was the utensils. We had to ask twice before they could give us victories that was caked with boys of dried noodles. At least the noodles were cooked correctly. Between the green wait staff and long waits, I recommend going to RB cadao.

After coming here for many years every single Sunday, today was our worse experience and food was horrible. Soup was super salty and on top of that there was a piece of plastic in my food looked like part of a glove. I showed the lady in the registered and she looked offended that I found someone thing in my food. She said do you want to purchase something else and added $11 to herself as tips. I told her she never came to ask if we needed drinks and food was horrible for the first time and she has the audacity to add $11 in tips. She said you have to pay it and that’s it, it’s not for me it’s for the employees and it’s the policy. I said okay but because of this horrible experience you just lost $100 every Sunday because that’s how much we spend every single Sunday and she said, that’s fine with me.

Went into this place at 810 with a closing time of 9. After being sat, server came right over with water and asked us what we would like. I stated we just sat can we have a minute. The servers response was “the kitchen closes in 15 minutes and going home in 5 minutes. You have to hurry up”. So we left. I will not be going here ever. I can’t comment on food because of the servers rudeness.

Walked in restaurant, no one to greet you or say welcome in, we will be right with you. Finally began to order 2 kids meal, he say only 1 child so he said we couldn't order 2 kids meals, my daughter said she wanted the smaller soup and he kept saying we can't order 2. Then we ordered 2 orders of grilled pork fresh rolled one order with noodles inside. Then he brings shrimp fresh rolls and none of us ordered any shrimp at all, he was frustrated when we told him we ordered the grilled pork, he finally comes back with grilled pork fresh rolls, we told him we ordered a 2nd order with no noodles and he proceeds to say we can't do that, we asked why Then he grabbed the fresh rolls proceeded to walk away with them we said we ordered that we just need our 2nd order he continued to walk away with the order so we left the restaurant. Horrible horrible service and we will never go back. In all my 54 years of eating in restaurants I have never had a server act in this manner

The 2 plates of rice were cold when picked up at 1:00PM. The grilled chicken, pork, beef way over cooked, dried and tasteless as if they spent the previous night in the fridge. Leftover from last night service? The rice was not the fragrant jasmine that is a rule for all Vietnam ese restaurants serving broken rice plates. No lettuce and tomato in the food containers. Very unacceptable. Very disappointing. My dachshund enjoyed her surprised treats!

The server charged my credit card TWICE, at $183 a pop, after a family birthday dinner with a hefty 20% gratuity automatically added in. Called the restaurant and the hostess promised the manager would call me back if I sent her the appropriate info, but now I hear crickets from Pho Ca Dao and I have to dispute the extra charge with my credit card company.

On Tuesday evening I went in and ordered two orders of fresh springs rolls with fish sauce. I have been insanely sick ever since with Salmonella, which has been confirmed by the hospital through tests. That’s the only thing I have eaten all week and prior to getting sick, so it was confirmed that this is what caused the Salmonella. Side note, I also found what appeared to be a bug in my fish sauce.
