Turned up to do some water sports, didn’t book, staff very friendly and helpful. 3 of us went SUP paddle boarding! Great fun, great facilities. Recommended!!!

Rooms are clean, amazing view, friendly people, good service, nice garden by the lake, whatelse is needed? I came here with 4 family members 7 & 4 and totally satisfied. Well the location is at the middle of the lake quite far from southernpart of the lake so if you are planning trips to nearby areas than it is kinda far. It is a hostel so all the service also closes at 10:00 pm which should also be considered in advance.

Nice hotel with a great location We stayed at this hotel with our family, and our impressions were quite mixed, so I will describe our experience in more detail. First of all, I want to mention what surprised us right upon arrival – this is not a 3-star hotel but a hostel (that’s what it says on the building itself), so do not expect the service and amenities of a 3-star hotel. Because it’s not quite like that. And that was our first disappointment. Location. The hotel is located right under a mountain and has a private beach with an incredible view of the lake. However, since the hotel is under a high mountain, by around 16:00 the beach is completely in the shade. You can go to the nearby public beaches, but there the sun also goes behind the mountain quite quickly. Private beach. The hotel has its own beach with a beautiful lawn. There are also sun loungers and umbrellas, as well as chairs to enjoy the lake view. It is also worth noting that this beach is not suitable for children – access to the water is via a ladder, like in a swimming pool, or directly into deep water from the pier. If you need a gradual entry, you have to go to the nearby pebble public beaches (which are close). Large private parking on the hotel premises. The hotel has its own restaurant, which is convenient. For lunch, you could order food and drinks from the menu until 15:00. But here I have to mention another big disappointment – plastic tableware. At breakfast, absolutely all the dishes were plastic (although high quality and reusable) – I do not like eating from plastic dishes. Even at dinner, drinks were always served in plastic cups (wine, water, all drinks). Breakfast was a 4/5. The choice of dishes was the same every day. But we certainly were not hungry. There was always juice, water, coffee, yogurt, muesli, eggs, and sweets for coffee. Separately, I will write about dinner. Our dinner was included. Every day there was a different menu to choose from with 3 options – 3 choices for the first course, 3 for the main course, and dessert. A bottle of water was also included. The first course (usually pasta or salad) was served quite quickly, but we constantly had to wait a long time for the second course (perhaps the kitchen could not cope with the number of guests). But the food was always tasty and filling. For dinner, the tableware was real and nice, which was pleasant – only the drinks were in plastic. Rooms are modern, with large showers. But there was absolutely no daily cleaning. When we checked in, there was visible dirt on the floor. In the bathroom, there are no hooks for towels, only a heated towel rail inside the shower itself, so the towels were always damp. This is unpleasant, and towels are only changed every 3 days. And even when they came to change the towels, the room still wasn’t cleaned. This was one of the worst impressions – no cleaning at all. On the second day we had to wait for the cleaners (who probably only cleaned rooms after guests checked out) and ask them for toilet paper. There is a balcony. But it is very small and has only 1 chair. There are no hangers to dry clothes or towels. There is no fridge. There is air conditioning. There is a well-equipped gym. There is also the opportunity to do water sports since there is a school right at the hotel. There is also a small children’s playground on the hotel premises where kids could run around. The staff were friendly. Delicious coffee, which we were also given as a gift when checking out. It’s wonderful that you can both relax by the lake and hike up the trail in the mountains nearby. Overall impression: At first, the hotel was a complete disappointment, but later the views, delicious dinners, and overall atmosphere balanced it out. I recommend it for those who want peace and beautiful scenery. The hotel could reach a much higher level if it removed plastic tableware and introduced daily cleaning. Thank you for a pleasant stay, even if it had its shortcomings.

Everything is well organised if you go there for sailing/waters-sports. The rooms are clean, modern and confortable. The restaurant is as well very good. The staff was very kind to us except one of the receptionist who was a bit stupid (that why I don’t give full 5 stars).

Modern, clean, quite spacious rooms, all hostel amenities attached. No fridge provided in the room, no food and drinks allowed either, though seems Univela is the best option around for kitesurfing people to enjoy the sports. Nothing fancy to notice in the hostel but the Campione itself and all surroundings are marvelous.

The hostel has some very weird rules in to place. For example you can't move your car out of the parking lot after 10pm or enter the parking lot after 10pm. So if you want to go out at night you are literally stuck at the place because the next bigger town is only reachable by car. They say it is for security reasons but seriously we are in northern italy and not in colombia. I think the reason is, they try to reduce cost by not employing someone for the night shift. The check in is also only possible until 7pm. I would definetly not recommend staying here because your vacation will be restricted by these time issues! Also the staff is rude! Wouldn't come here again with my travel group!

After reserved two rooms as part of our bike tour around lake garda and organised the trip they just canceled my booking without any further notification 10 days before my arrival. I contacted them via email got no answer at all, then contacted them on phone where a totally arrogant women was shouting with me "this is how it goes" and put the phone on me for no reason. Don't reserve anything here, the worst customer experience I ever had which totally ruined our trip to lake Garda.
