We had a great time and met some really fun people. Great music and an active dance floor at the noon hour. Definitely the place for day drinking. The beers were cold and food delish! Can't wait to go back!

Enjoyed this place! Nice ambiance and food was great. We went with a party of six people and no one had a complaint. The food came out quick and hot and most impressive was our waiter. What a cheerful guy and on the ball. Wish I could remember his name, he made us feel very welcomed.

this is my favorite place to eat in Progresso Nuevo. I love the atmosphere and that I can shop and eat, then get coffee. Their drink prices are really affordable. $4 for a Pina Colada!

Our waiter ( I think it was Jorge) was great. Good service and very helpful getting the glasses out margaritas and beer came in. The food was good.

Always my first stop of choice💗to get a drink and get the walk started. Oh and if I left home without eating.. this place has a pretty good selection of food on their menu. Everything on point food, salsas, and drinks! Stop and enjoy the music and the happy atmosphere.

We've eaten here two days in a row and I think this is my favorite restaurant in the world. Delicious huge shrimp and potent margs. Amazing servers and entertainment. So fun to watch the dancers.

We went to Panchos in Nuevo Progresso for the first time and other was outstanding! The margaritas are very good! I had the chili rellano and it was delicious! The wife had the chimichanga, and ot was also delicious! We will definitely eat there again! Highly recommend!

There's always a live band every time I come here for lunch so it's loud but I like the music and food here. I always get the seafood soup but I get my drink at the supermarket since it's cheaper and I don't trust the ice. Also don't eat the peanuts. The bathroom here is super clean.

A Winter Texan institution, we stop here every time we cross the border for shopping and dental work. Sometimes, it's just to self medicate after extensive dental work, but there's always good music, dancing, and entertainment. The Long Island ice tea is outstanding, and the margaritas are really good as well. Food is okay, but not the reason we go there. Always a fun time!

We stopped here on a recommendation and are very happy that we did. We had already eaten so we just had the guacamole and a couple of beers. Next time that we are in town, we will definitely be back for entrees and the delicious looking margaritas! The service at the bar was great!

Great place to hangout! The bar tenders are nice and prompt with service. Check out the photos and you will see the large margheritas they have. You probably expect to pay a lot for that but my 2 drinks were less then $20! They serve food but I didn't have any. Also live music was nice to hear. Check it out when you go to Neuvo Progreso.

Great place to have a drink and order some good tex-mex food. Their bistek lonches were delicious, granted this is the first time I had one of those. The milanesa steak (breaded steak) was fried just right and had a very good flavor. The top shelf margarita I ordered on the rocks was excellent, so was the piña colada. Atmosphere is very lively with a 2 member band playing some country and mexican norteña music. Prices are affordable about average for this town. Definitely added to my list of favorite bars to visit in Nuevo Progreso.

This is the second time we have been to Poncho's in 6 months. I had the chili Rellano and we also had 1 order of Lounches and one order of tacos. The food once again was very fresh and tasty. We had to Top Shelf margaritas and a Corona as well for our lunch. Our total bill was $30. In Florida this would have set us back $60 and not near as good quality. They have a very large seating area, dance floor and live music I would highly suggest stopping in if you make it to Nuevo Progreso Came back To the area of March 2022. Of course we had to stop at our favorite place Panchos and We were lucky enough to be greeted by our favorite server Jorge. I cannot say enough good things about this place from the dancing , music , food , drinks and service. The entire staff was very pleasant as always and the food was excellent. Try a Don Julio top shelf margarita but standby these are quite a bit stronger than what you will get in the states.

Panchos bar is very good for dancing, drinking and food. The bartenders do a very fine job making sure you are happy. The shop next to it will fill all your needs and prices are very good. Liquor, candy, pottery and meds are all there.

Our experience is limited to a cup of coffee, but the place is nice. The staff are friendly and the service is good. This is a great place to hangout while shopping. El Disco is a wonderful place to shop in Progresso Mexico.

I have to be honest. Good food, great environment and great service. But very highly overrated. Ppl make it sound way better than what it actually is. Take my advice, its a must go IF you happen to be in the area, but dont take a long trip just to go there.

Pancho's Bar in Nuevo Progreso, MX, is my go-to spot every time I head back to the US. Sure, it's a bit touristy, but trust me, it's a local favorite for good reason! I never deviate from ordering the Sombrero Plate – those mixed fajitas, bell peppers, onions, and gooey cheese on that sizzling platter just hit differently. And let's not forget about my wife's beef lonches – they always hit the spot for her. The service? Oh, it's consistently top-notch, adding to the whole experience. But hey, if you're after a quiet night, maybe head over to Angels. Because at Pancho's, it's a non-stop party from dawn till dusk!

First of our waiters name was Jerry, and he was fantastic. The restaurant was very big, had live music that was playing oldies songs. But the singer was good. It was a little dark though. I had Enchiladas Verde the was delicious,my wife had Red Snapper ( not the filet,was the whole fish.) It was delicious. Was a great meal , also I had a margarita ( not a fan of styrofoam cups) but it was very strong and a good amount for $4. Total bill was $30 and I left Jerry a $7 tip

La comida es buena solo que el servicio es MUY lento, estuvimos sentados un buen rato y ningún mesero nos atendía, pedimos bebidas y llegaron 5 minutos despues, nunca recogió los platos desocupados y cada vez que necesitábamos algo teníamos que andar buscando al mesero, incluso hasta para pagar la cuenta. 😏

Food was great. Service was not so good. Had the caldo de mariscos (seafood soup), and it was excellent. My husband had the tacos, and they were very good as well. Beer is a little warm. New waiter (big guy, shaved head) needs more training. He argued with us when we mentioned the specials on the sign outside the bar. He was very so slow and inattentive. My soup came out 15 minutes before the tacos. I guess we made them mad?

Waiter acted rushed every time he came to our table and we asked a question but was extremely slow with our order. My meal was badly burnt and did offer to replace my meal but everyone at my table had finished theirs. No reduction in my bill or certificate towards my next meal. I will not return in the future!

We arrived at about 1:30 on Tuesday weren't greeted well waiter took are drink order spilled half of one margarita took our food order when he bought our order 3 of the meals came.these 3 meals the plates were cold. later he said last one will be there shortly we still had no silverware ,we said we'll pay for the drinks.He gave no apologies for the service, will not be back. Used to be a great place to go not so much now
