We had an absolutely wonderful experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere is fantastic and creates the perfect setting for a great lunch. The food was incredibly delicious – truly outstanding! I was even able to enjoy my favorite Portuguese red wine, which made the experience even more special. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive, making us feel very welcome from start to finish. The portions are very generous and everything is freshly prepared. We can highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be coming back!

Had the chance to be at the pre-opening of Cabana Sass and it’s a game-changer for the Algarve! Finally, an international-level beach spot in terms of design, atmosphere, and service. The attention to detail is impressive, from the interiors to the food presentation, and the team already delivers at the highest standard. A beautiful addition to the region excited to see it become one of the new references in Algarve hospitality

A true gem. The cuisine is exceptional — special mention for the Sea Bass, cooked to absolute perfection with impressive precision. The service is equally flawless, with an attention to detail that elevates the entire experience. I also want to highlight the talent of the bartender, who tailored each cocktail to our individual tastes, crafting unique and perfectly balanced creations I had never experienced before. A place where every element is carefully thought through to deliver a truly high-level gastronomic and sensory experience.
Cabanas Sass has such a great atmosphere and vibe — stylish but totally relaxed, perfect for a long lunch. The tuna belly was incredible, easily one of the best dishes I’ve had in the Algarve. Super friendly staff and smooth service all the way. A place that just feels great.
Tudo excelente desde o atendimento á comida servida. Uma especial atenção ao supervisor Diogo e ao Chefe Tomás Casanova. Fomos muito bem recebidos pelo Diogo e muito bem servidos no geral por toda a equipa. Excelente. Recomendo, uma experiência excelente. Ambiente e decoração top, espaço muito agradável.

From the natural design to the caring service and creative menu, it’s one of those places that sets a new standard for beachfront dining. Cabana Sass pleasantly surprises with several vegan and vegetarian options – still a rarity on the Algarve coast. Prices reflect the upscale setting, but portions and presentation make it worth it. Approached with a degree of trepidation as the reviews had been so mixed. No need however as I guess they have developed a response to the feedback. Food was excellent, service responsive and there was a nice late afternoon atmosphere (dinner booked for 4.30pm). Great fish dishes and a relaxed approach to lingering at the table when the food was done. Certainly expensive but no surprises with the bill given the up front reviews. If you want great views and a stylish venue supported by well prepared food then give it a try. Use Google Maps to find it however 😀

I had the honor of attending a pre-opening lunch at Cabana Sass in the Algarve, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The food was absolutely delicious, the restaurant’s interior design is stunning, the view is beyond amazing and the bar had incredible drinks and cocktails that made the experience even more special. The entire team exceeded every possible expectation with their kindness and professionalism. I feel very privileged to have been invited to enjoy such a wonderful meal in such a beautiful setting. Cabana Sass is without a doubt a place to remember, and I cannot wait to return!
Our third visit an exceptional restaurant, Paula who is very professional, she takes the order for 6 of us & doesn’t need a pen & paper, she remembers it all, we had the chicken with dauphinoise pot…

We asked for an umbrella before we sat down ; they said no problem but there wasn’t one when we asked again so they went to their store to get one. When I asked for Sea Bass I got a massive one on my own; it would have been helpful if they had said it should be for two or three…It cost 100 euros on it own!!!!We constantly had to ask To be served our wine which was held in an iced container with everyone else’s wine. No one ever asked if everything was good; I tried to move the umbrella because I was baking in 30C and nearly decapitated other diners in the process. Maybe there is a lot more focus on people inside the restaurant. We will come back ( because it’s a great addition to the beachfront) and hope service is more attentive /thoughtful…it comes down to staff training and management are responsible not the staff

Reserva apenas para 1 casal e colocaram-nos no meio da sala, ladeados por dois grupos grandes e barulhentos, com música tão alta que nem nos ouvíamos. Apenas um funcionário falava português de Portugal; alguns brasileiros percebiam, mas outros nem português compreendiam. Em menos de segundos, perguntaram-nos 4 vezes se queríamos água — à 4.ª vez aceitámos só para não ouvir mais. Funcionários a tropeçarem uns nos outros e a repetir constantemente as mesmas perguntas, sem espaço para qualquer privacidade. A comida: ceviches e tártaros sem acompanhamento (nem umas tostas!), e o couvert para 2 com apenas um pão. A comida não é má, mas também não é nada de especial e não justifica o preço. O melhor é a localização e a decoração. De resto, muito a melhorar.
"I felt like an inconvenience, at best." - my dear friend accompanying me to the restaurant. We arrived at their beautifully located restaurant and were greeted by the door, which was nice. We only wanted to have coffee, they said we could sit at the bar. They even granted our wish to sit outside on the lovely terrace, but we would have had to order inside. They changed their mind and took our order outside. The coffee was served in modern vessels, it was in general a good coffee. Strong, but lacked depth. It was extraordinarily overpriced. Elsewhere on the beach you usually pay 1€ for a coffee. We paid 12€ for two of the simplest coffees to be served. In general we had a feeling that we were not the guests they wanted in their restaurant, as both of us did not appear in a maybe fancy enough way. Best

I describe it as a modern tree house. It looks beautiful and the view is amazing as well but i think it is completely overpriced. It seemed there was only one staff member that could take the orders and when we finally ordered it took a long time to just bring the drinks. Staff is friendly though. I do think for the prices they charge the whole experience should be 5 star which is this restaurant definately not! In my opinion they have to step up or otherwise people will choose another restaurant that is on the beach which will be much cheaper, better food and better service.
Beautiful place, food was ok but nothing special to warrant the price - 24% service charge? Flies swarmed us and staff did not seem too happy to move us inside although it was very quiet. For €260 euro for two people (no alcohol) for lunch there are better places.
Thought we would give this new bar/restaurant a go for drinks as we were booked in for dinner nearby. The situation and view overlooking the beach is stunning as is the actual building. Unfortunately the service and staff drastically let it down. We waited at least 10 minutes before anyone actually brought us a drinks menu. Then got blatantly ignored by a lady server who preferred to chat with her french friends nearby. We eventually got served a couple of cocktails at least half hour later. We were thankful that we had a booking for dinner elsewhere as wouldn't hold out much hope of getting food served within a couple of hours. A fair amount of money has obviously been spent on the structure so hope that service and attention can be improved (sooner rather than later) to make it a desirable dining experience.

We were really hungry when we got there, but we ended up leaving half the food on our plates. That's how bad it was. The lobster spaghetti was the worst, but all the other dishes were bad too, except the roasted cauliflower (we ate it all since there was nothing else worth eating!). If you want to go there for a drink and enjoy the view, sure, go ahead. The decor and location are nice enough for that. But don't waste your money on the food. We certainly regretted it. It's a shame because the place has potential with that view, but the kitchen really needs to step up. Save your appetite and eat somewhere else.

Quanto ao serviço, acredito que há espaço para melhorias. Tive uma experiência um pouco desconfortável, pois senti-me um estrangeiro no meu próprio pais. Um dos empregados de mesa, que parecia estar a comunicar em francês com os colegas, perguntou-nos em inglês de onde éramos. Informei que éramos portugueses, mas, como ele não falava português, continuou a conversa em inglês em vez de chamar um colega que pudesse comunicar na nossa língua. Acabei por responder em português, e ele optou por dirigir-se à minha esposa, o que me deixou um pouco desapontado. Notei que mais de metade dos clientes presentes eram portugueses, o que talvez indique que o restaurante poderia adaptar-se melhor a este público. No geral, acredito que o serviço poderia ser mais atencioso para estar à altura do nível que o espaço e os preços sugerem. The food, while tasty, doesn’t quite match the quality one might expect given the prices charged. As for the service, I believe there’s room for improvement. I felt like a foreign in my own country. One of the waiters, who seemed to be speaking French with colleagues, asked us in English where we were from. I mentioned we were Portuguese, but as he didn’t speak Portuguese, he continued in English instead of calling a colleague who could communicate in our language. When I responded in Portuguese, he chose to address my wife instead, which left me a bit disappointed. I noticed that more than half of the customers present were Portuguese, which might suggest that the restaurant could better cater to this audience. Overall, I believe the service could be more attentive to match the level suggested by the venue and the prices. I hope these suggestions can contribute to an even better experience in the future.
The ocean view is nice and the decor inside is amazing. A lot of attention to detail. The food however was mediocre and highly overpriced. I also didnt appreciate the standard tip included in the bill. Would not go back.

They’ve done a great job decorating the place, but that’s about it. The food is mediocre at best, service definitely needs improvement- there’s no sense of customer service or hospitality which an establishment such as this should warrant. If you’re wanting to try it out as it’s the “new thing” around, I’d say go have a drink - as in 1- check that box off your list, and eat elsewhere as it’s not worth it.

This is a special one. After a lunch of excellent quality I strongly advice people to absolutely NOT go here. Why? Even though the food was a 10 out of 10, this place is a scam. Everything is done to catch the last penny from your pocket. Besides that, service is so slow. 1 hour 15 minutes after ordering, for a simple lunch, way too long. But okay, shit happens. But what was far worse is the fact that ordering seabass from the menu can easily be mixed up with the seabass "specialty of the day". €126,- for 1 person (as just 1 person ordered this, clearly. BTW, after a very clear "no we will not order any of the non menu recommendations, we stay with our menu choice" Okay okay, a more or less €100,- difference...ehhhh.....let's say that also this can happen (but not) and because all the food was prepared so well and we are in holiday mood..... But then...We saw it too late but besides the €5,,- pp couvert charge they automatically charge a 10% tip without announcing. And so yes, we gave a tip as we always do and we do not study every bill detailed. But when we add the tip telling the waiter, he cannot say: "but mam, there is already a tip on the bill"? Actually same for the seabass...1 person orders it outside the menu (I did not but let's pretend), wouldn't it be very normal to mention the price of €126,- and the fact that it is 1,1KG? All together very clearly a scam. A mistake here and there can be made but this is too much at the same table. Unacceptable and this better be stopped. I add the bill. Please also see that the name on the restaurant check is different from the credit card check. The name on Google is Cabana Sass
