Great local pizza place right in the center of town with plenty of parking on street and a large parking lot just a couple of doors down. They have pies, slices, sandwiches and the usual favorites. Ben always goes out of his way to help our Boy Scout troop and other local organizations.

Ordered two Roast Beef Subs with the works! I truly had a mouth watering experience, very delicious!!! When I wrapped my mouth around to bite, it was a cool change up from a hot meal. Food came fast and with smiles. My go to place for a hot or cold meal.

I've been going here on and off since I was a kid. The pizza is consistently delicious! I love that the slices are generous and you can do the "fold over" and eat your pizza more neatly. When I worked across the street, I'd often get a slice of cheese pizza for lunch which was affordable and quick. I got my boyfriend (now husband) hooked on it, too ☺ I wish we still lived close to Village Pizza III but we grab a pie when we come back to NY and they never disappoint!

I used to live near Villiage Pizza III when I was a kid and LOVED every pie and calzone I ever got. Ben treated my family as his family and that always stuck with me. Their pizza will always be my benchmark.

If I were asked to select just one place that would remain in our community, Village Pizza III would be the one. Ben and his crew have been serving up a wide selection of great food at very reasonable prices for a long time. You can't go wrong here!

The BEST pizza in the town, county, state, etc. Having grown up in Red Hook since age 2, Village Pizza is a staple for me every time I visit home and anytime I need to introduce anyone to real New York Pizza. The crust, cheese to sauce ratio, saltiness, and price - its all perfect. A little grease on top but what pizza wont come out with that? They put napkins on your table if you need them. The staff is amazing and quite a few of them have been around as long as I've been going, it feels like family when you walk in. If you aren't in the mood for pizza try a meatball sub - all of it is fresh in house made. Ben, you're doing awesome. Keep it up!!!

Drove into NY from Ohio and the first thing on my list was to grab some pizza. I got lucky finding this place. Better than I expected. I had pizza at two other places during my short trip, none if them compared to this place. Try it, you wont regret it!

I've been going to this pizza place since I was a little kid..now I get to take my youngest son there every Wednesday. We'll priced and great pizza. If they opened up every chain pizza place surrounding my house I would still make the 30 minute drive to this place. I hope it never closes

Having the best basic pizza establishment in your town should be what our town is most proud of (out of the millions out there). The owner is so nice, prices never raised during Covid when everyone else took the opportunity to gauge, and the pizza is always insanely reliably good.

From out if state and visiting for a few days. This is the kind of old school pizza joints both my wife and I grew up going to in the 70s and 80s. It is perfect! Place your order, get your drink out of the coolers by the door and have a seat. Went there last night (Saturday at about 8PM). The staff is fantastic and friendly. Probably 5 guys there working and constantly doing stuff. Wiping down tables, cooking and restocking yet a very loose atmosphere. They all seemed to take a lot of pride in the place and we're having fun. Seemed like a very tight crew and a well oiled machine of a business. We dined in. My wife ordered a pizza (cheese and black olives), our daughter got spaghetti with tomato sauce and I got cheese ravioli with same sauce. Garlic cheese bread to share. The pastas also came with a basket of bread. Yes, a lot of food so be prepared. It was all FANTASTIC. This place really rocks! Prices great too!

As a local this is the best pizza. Grew up with this family run spot and anytime I'm even close to RH I go for a slice or a pie. The crust makes it as this is not to crisp but you also won't get floppy soft either, offering a great texture. Their sauce is really good as well. Want a cute experience and date night ask the team for the ingredients to make your own pie at home.

In the early 90’s as a young boy free from the confines of middle school we would race into town for a slice of “Ben’s Pizza” Simply put this place is iconic. Many leave Red Hook and when they come back even for a short visit and stop to village pizza is a must. These days I am not a Pizza eater but ever Friday with my kids, we always get a pizza from Village. Prices inexpensive Food: 30 plus years kinda speaks for itself doesn’t it. Joe and Ben from Village Pizza are icons. If you are one of our many visiting downstate “friends” this may not be a posh Brooklyn eatery, this place is legend.

This place is great. I order from here at the bare minimum once a week. Sicilian pizza is delicious. Also, this other negative review about them not delivering was hilarious " A shame, because I was eager to try the food based on previous reviews." Eager, but not eager enough to drive down there and try it. Believe me if not cooking is for you, and you can deal with the task of getting in your car and taking the time to go down there, you'll be pleased.

I am ALWAYS on the lookout for good deals so before the first time I visited Village Pizza III I was excited to see in a comment or review the mention of $2.00 slices... definitely worth investigation with a drive down the road after work. Happy to find out that after years of having that price owners/managers have not decided to change it! For some change more you can add toppings; so even with personalizing 2 slices with a few toppings I still get change back from my $5.00. That's the kind of deal my wallet and belly can get behind!

Nice old school restaurant vibe. Pizza was good. My wife loved the multi toppings pizza. They are take out oriented. The line was pretty long, which says something about their pies. Overall, we would eat there again.

Service was bad. Staff seemed bothered that they had customers or something. The place is small but not bad. Food is good, and the pizza is not bad.

Mediocre pizza to be honest. Usually you can’t complain at a slice place. But even the fresh pie felt undercooked, and honestly lacking in flavor. There are a few other options in the area, they are worth a stop.

I stopped in during a visit to the area. I was raised on old school Bensonhurst (Brooklyn) pizza but this slice didn't come close by a long shot. The Sicilian slice was doughy and soggy and the sauce was mediocre at best. Reminded me of Pizza Friday in school. I tossed it after one bite.

Very little taste. Nice crispy crust, but smelled and tasted like the cardboard box it came in. Surprising.

The prices online were not accurate to actual pricing, and I did not get a menu with my orders. I ordered a chicken parm sandwich, wings. Wings were a bit chewy so I cooked them for a little longer at home. I didn't enjoy them much. The chicken parm didn't last the 10/15 minute drive home. The sauce merged with the bread (making it dough like)and dripped between my fingers as I tried to eat it. Disgusted by the bread, I tried to eat only the chicken and cheese portion. It was atrocitious. I threw it away because I couldn't stomach a less than half of it. If you're looking for a quick cheese pie, or a tasty dessert, this place is ooookay. However if you want food, I suggest walking around the corner to Charlie Os. Don't waste your time here.

Just tried the pizza. Undercooked, flavorless. Dough was soft and chewy. Gave up after 1 slice, dumped the rest. Even tho it was just pizza, I wouldn't venture to try anything else. Another place not to go back to.

Rude staff, mediocre pizza. Spend your money at Lucoli. The food, and service is ten times better.

I had heard great things about Village Pizza in Red Hook so I decided to order five pizzas from there for a recent party. I can’t remember a time when I had more of a challenge trying to give an establishment my business. I called to order and the man who answered the phone was very brusque. Since I had not done business there ever before, I was not sure of their procedure and asked him if he wanted me to pay in advance. He said he didn’t care what I did and I said well then I’ll give you a credit card now.” He hung up on me. I had to call back and talk to someone else to complete the order. The day the pizzas were to be picked up, the people bringing them to the house were about an hour late. So we called Village Pizza to find out if the delivery had been picked up. Seems like a very clear question right? Was the order for five pizzas for 3:30 today picked up? The same man who answered the phone and hung up on me two days before said, “Exactly what are you asking me here?” If I was to take a wild guess, he probably thought I was trying to get away with something and was suspicious. Needless to say, for pizza that was only OK, no one needs to be dealing with a man who needs a Dale Carnegie course before speaking to the public. There are a lot of pizza places, dude. Next time when someone calls with $100 order for pizza, maybe try a little courtesy. It really does go a long way.

Ordered a meatball parm sub. Sub came on your standard pizza place sub roll only it was not toasted and cold as if straight out of a fridge. Only 2 meatballs 1 per side cut in half that seemed pretty flavorless swimming in lots of sauce and cheese. All of that seemed like it was microwaved and spilled on the bread just before it was handed to me. Won't be ordering again.

Very rude establishment, ordered a pizza went inside to pick up my pizza. 4 guys behind the counter none of them even acknowledged my presence. I was standing there alone then this lady came in behind me and one of the guys asked to take her order. I guess it was clear they don't like to serve African American people.

Very disappointed. I just ordered 2 slices to go, & they served me 2 slices completely burnt on top. I wanted to say something, but didn't want the attention. Their staff should never serve pizza that is burnt...on the top, or on the bottom. Next time I'll go to Salvatore's.

Their pizza is okay, their prices are good, but they are so incredibly rude all the time. I keep going here because of habit and convenience, but man I'd really like the owner to know how badly the counter people treat their customers. Mind you I am polite as can be, have never asked a question, or complained in anyway just tried to order pizza. ETA: I lowered my review from three stars to one, because I just called again and cannot believe how rude they were again.

Place is trash, service wise.. Would have loved to try the food.. however this place of business is incapable of answering their phone.. Hours of operation clearly state they are open.. I have been trying to get someone to pick up for 20 mins at least... My fiancé and I are visiting family here in Red Hook and so far it's giving incompetent.. given this is one of the VERY FEW places open at 9-10pm on a Friday night?!?!? Do better for your business and the town..

My boyfriend and I were getting a few of slices of pizza. They treated us well until they heard my accent when I ordered, from that point, they noticeably changed their mood towards us. The man handling the register began staring at me and began stonewalling when I was speaking. After paying, the man starred at me again, put my card up about a foot above the counter and dropped it. Extremely disrespectfully. My boyfriend has been here a few times and never had a problem with service or food, so when the pizza came out this time with the crust almost completely black, we couldn’t help but wonder if they purposely burned the pizza…

Uhhhh… really weird to women. My three female friends and I went to dine here and left feeling very puzzled and disrespected. Our slices took a very long time and they still got one friend’s order wrong. Guy at the register seemed wayyy too excited when I told him I wanted to pay for my slice. And they overcharged all of us. Pizza was dripping with grease and left us unsatisfied and sad. Weird vibes… did not enjoy.
