The bartender was efficient, personable, and was pretty knowledgeable which is rare for Redding. The Squire Room is a unique vibe, with excellent atmosphere, friendly clientele and all around a good time. They are definitely worth a visit. With an excellent amaretto sour.

If I had to pick any bar to go to on a Friday night it's this one hands down. The bartenders are fantastic, very knowledgeable and can make great recommendations. It's a smaller bar and they're usually not packed to the gills so it's great for grabbing some drinks and relaxing with friends.

Great places to go for a cocktail, the owner really knows how to make a mean drink. The decor is even better then you remember it from the olden days. Just beware about going when they are busy the wait can be a bit long but at the same time it is worth it.

This place seems to be hit or miss depending on the night, and the relative sobriety of the barkeep.

I was really hoping that I'd love this place. I have friends who used to come here all the time before it was closed. I wanted the reopening to be just as great as I had heard! Unfortunately, I think this bar has taken on a little too much too quickly. The setting is beautiful, and feels like a 70s Bond film. The only caveat being that it is a little too bright, it needs to be darker. The real problem was the drinks: expensive and weak. The bartender seemed in way over his head and very stressed. There were other people behind the bar, but no one was actually helping the poor bartender. The drink I had was tasty, but not at all worth what I paid for it. The waitress we had was excellent and very helpful. However, the owner was constantly hovering around the room. It felt like she wanted people to move in and out quickly, which is not the atmosphere you should promote if you want people to come back. This town is very lacking in a good bar scene. I had high hopes that this place might offer some salvation, but I was left disappointed. It is very new still, and I hope that it will improve with a little bit of experience, but it is lacking right now.

Took a Lyft to come here for my first time in. The pics looked fabulous! Got over during posted hours and it’s closed up. Went online to find out what’s up. I guess they are open occasionally? Too bad, I would have liked to have checked it out

The rudest bartender and staff ever. He grabbed my phone and threw it across the room because I was wanting to take a picture of me and my fiancé. They said the most horrible things to us. We thought maybe they had us confused with someone else or they were on drugs. i don’t know But we reported them. I was in shock

A simple, "I will be right with you" or a nod or gesture goes a long way. Either employ your "hostess" to help with bartending (only two were behind the bar, and I assume they were the owners) or hire more staff. Given that this bar is one of the oldest and most known amongst locals in the Redding area, we were sorely disappointed.
