Truly fine dining in Redlands. The staff is efficient, pleasant and attentive. The food presentation is beautiful and just as delicious. We tried the branzini, the beef fillet and the ciopino. All were prepared to perfection and excellent. The restaurant reminds me of the old Bay Wolf in Oakland.
Amazing!! First time here - enjoyed wine tasting and jazz. Fabulous outdoor seating, great food, good company and learned a lot about the wines they offer! I'll def be back to try out more dishes! Thanks for the extra glass of wine Brandon and thanks to Daniel who took the time to educate us about the wines. I thought he was the sommelier... 🙄😊
The service was spectacular. Emily was gracious, knowledgeable, and treated us like old friends. We would come here just for that level of attention. Highly recommend: scallops and lamb chops. The steak tend to be done toward the “well” side. So, I would order one level below your ordinary preference. We had a half bottle of champagne and it was delicious. Approx: $300 for two people with appetizers. No dessert
Absolutely fantastic dinner experience. We made reservations in advance for an early seating. Sat outside on the patio, which had plenty of heaters. The restaurant is well laid out with great comfort between tables. The food was incredible and our server was knowledgeable of every dish. The manager came around to say hello to every table, which made for a perfect ending to our meal. Will definitely be returning for special occasions. We got a few things to share for the two of us and had food to take home. Dessert was fantastic, got the blood orange sorbet and apple pastry.
There was no shortage of attention here—it was the defining virtue of this place. While Kimberly took care of us, nearly everyone who passed by looked over to check if we were comfortable or needed anything. As we settled in for a fabulous dinner, the indoor and porch seating filled up quickly, advancing twice during the evening. It became clear that this two-year-old Italian eatery had already established itself as a local landmark. Sitting on the charming, cozy porch, we ordered their signature appetizer. Patrizio, the executive chef, visited our table, carrying a twenty-five-year-old vinegar bottle—adding a touch of intrigue to our dish. Between him, Kimberly, and Brandon (the owner), attention was never lacking in this bustling, packed restaurant. The traditional Italian cuisine was exquisite. Though we’ve dined at fine Italian establishments before, the flavors here were uniquely distinct. We soon discovered the secret behind this unforgettable taste: their ingredients were meticulously hand-picked and imported directly from Italy. The wine, the sauces, the cheeses, even the meat—carefully stored in the freezer—were sourced with precision. The restaurant itself was a testament to this commitment, with grocery aisles lining the space beside an impressive wine cellar, reinforcing their dedication to quality. Even their **Hall of Fame** reflects their humble approach. While most restaurants proudly display such accolades in a highly visible spot for all to see, here, they quietly tuck theirs away in the back of the kitchen—a true testament to their understated confidence. Altogether, our experience here was truly one-of-a-kind. The outstanding food, the exceptional service, and the personal touch from all, Kimberly , the chef, and the owner—who made it a point to greet every guest—turned this visit into something unforgettable.
What a gem I found, while I had to stop to charge my car, just across the street. It turned out to be an amazing experience. Not only did the kitchen make me some food at closing, but the service was wonderful,! They served the most delicious non alcoholic champagne ( I had a long drive in front of me) they even had real Espresso and served it like in Italy, with brown sugar and a slice of lemon! Honestly, I didn’t believe the sophistication. And the bar tender was local , born and raised. Please stop here on your way to Palm Springs ! It is so worth it.
On a busy Saturday night, I managed to snag the last seat at the bar! The beef carpaccio was exceptional, featuring a delectable topping of black truffle aioli, crushed hazelnuts, and a touch of peppery arugula. The crème brûlée was a real treat! It had the perfect crispy burnt sugar topping. I will certainly return to explore more of the menu.
My wife and I stumbled across Citrone for our 7 year anniversary last night, and it was one of the best dining experiences we have had in a very long time. Our server Jacob made us feel like we were dining with an old friend that we have not seen in years, the recommendations were spot on, and the hospitality was on a different level. We enjoyed our scallops so much that Chef P brought out an additional order on the house, along with an order of octopus that he wanted us to try, and I'm glad he did it was the best octopus I have ever had. We finished our meal and thought the night was over, but to our surprise, a bottle of champagne showed up to congratulate us on the special day. Citrone is definitely gained a lifelong customer, and we can't wait to go back.
Excellent date night spot. Table service was marvelous thanks to our server, Kim. Party of three was promptly seated at reservation time. Orders for drinks were taken expeditiously, and we were walked through the specials. I wish I would have ordered the duck ragù to try today! I had the carpaccio (a little heavy on the oil side but I like mine very lemony so I was given some wedges to cut the fat which I was really happy with) along with the Gorgonzola gnocchi. Yellowtail tartare is fabulous with the addition of a bit-too-salty roe on top. The bread is very tasty here too. Finished dinner with a delightful creme brûlée. The crafted martinis are also delicious: recommend the garden one with the basil and the pear martini.

Citrone is the place to visit for truly amazing food, service, and a quality experience. My wife and I visit weekly to enjoy the Chef's creative and delicious special menu items. The standard menu selections are equally extraordinary as Chef places his personal touch on each dish. His corn agnolotti, the prime beef carpaccio, and their selection of wagyu beef is a show stopper if you can appreciate quality ingredients and the attention to detail. My latest visit was an experience that will be long remembered. To compliment Chef, from the moment you arrive, the hosts and the wait staff are welcoming and intentional in creating an amazing experience. You must visit on several occasions to truly see how amazing the entire team is. Bring your appetite, an appreciation for quality ingredients, and a desire for expert techniques that you can enjoy close to home. If you live local in Redlands, or on a trip along the I-10 freeway, Citrone is a must-visit, particularly when Chef is serving the Alba or black winter truffles. Black truffle on the pistachio gelato is a must-try. Cheers!

Absolutely loved this restaurant. Ambience is warm and inviting, food was very good, drink menu was great. Our server Kim was fabulous.
The service was phenomenal. Excellent food. Chef came to our table to check on things, great wine menu, etc.
Fabulous restaurant, amazing food, huge indoor and outdoor dining space. One of my favorites in downtown Redlands.

What a wonderful experience. From the friendly staff who greeted us on arrival to our departure, everything was great. Our waiter Manny was attentive and very knowledgeable about the food sources and origins. He took time to explain the dishes and gave great recommendations. We were celebrating a birthday and the restaurant made a special dessert plate and gave a signed card! Thank you for a delicious dinner and delightful evening.
★★★★★ An Elegant and Memorable Date Night — and Perfect for Families Too My husband and I recently had a date night at Citrone Italian Chophouse in Redlands, and the experience exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt elegant, cozy, and impeccably clean — the perfect setting for a romantic evening. The restaurant strikes a beautiful balance between refinement and warmth. Parking was easy and convenient, and the location makes it an ideal destination for a special night out. One detail that stood out immediately was the exceptional wine service. We were looking for a specific type of wine that wasn’t listed on the menu, and Jacob — the wine specialist — went above and beyond to help us find exactly what we were hoping for. His knowledge and willingness to assist made the experience feel personalized and thoughtful. We started with the Tutto Crudo, a stunning plate of scallop, tuna, and salmon with citrus, tomato, and panna acida. The presentation was vibrant and beautiful, almost like edible art. The seafood was incredibly fresh — juicy, tender, and delicate — and the flavors were perfectly balanced, allowing the quality of the fish to truly shine. For our main courses we ordered the Tagliatelle alla Bolognese and the Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe with chicken, both made with house-made pasta. Both dishes were exquisite. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, and the sauces were expertly seasoned — so balanced that nothing else was needed. No extra salt, no adjustments — just beautifully crafted food. The Bolognese was rich and comforting, while the Cacio e Pepe had a refined depth of flavor with just the right touch of pepper and pecorino. Portions were generous without being overwhelming, and the service throughout the evening was attentive but never intrusive. We also loved being able to see into the kitchen — the team looked organized, professional, and passionate. The beautiful wood-fired oven adds a powerful and romantic presence, and we can already tell this will be a wonderful place to return with family to enjoy their wood-oven pizzas in a relaxed atmosphere. It is clear that the owners genuinely care about their guests. Their presence in the dining room and attention to detail create a welcoming and intentional environment that is rare to find. The restaurant also offers a lovely patio option, which we look forward to trying on a future visit. We enjoyed the evening so much that we made another reservation before leaving — this time with friends. Citrone Italian Chophouse delivers true craftsmanship, thoughtful service, and an unforgettable atmosphere — perfect for both romantic evenings and family gatherings. Highly recommended.
Can't say enough good things! Beautiful restaurant and atmosphere. Our server was excellent! Gave amazing recommendations, all of which were spot on from the drinks to the salad to the entrees. Had a great experience and the food was delicious! Will definitely be back!
Amazing! Not only was the food on point but the staff were unbelievable. Our waiter was Manny and he was so wonderful with exceptional recommendations. We had 4 kiddos with us ages 9-12 and the Manager, Brandon, was just fantastic and made them all feel like it was their night. All of the staff were amazing but Brandon definitely made what was already an amazing dinning experience that much better. We ordered a little bit of everything and we're not disappointed, it was all was delicious.
Citrone Italian Shophouse (Redlands) delivered the kind of experience you normally only get at top-tier, owner-led restaurants—where hospitality, product quality, and operational discipline all show up in the details. the value proposition is excellent: high-quality red wines at great prices paired with an A+ guest experience that feels intentionally designed, not accidental. The owners personally elevated the evening for you and your wife, and what stood out most was how they made you feel seen—they understood and honored your culture. As a Puerto Rican guest, you felt at home, and that’s not just good service—that’s brand loyalty being built in real time. On the food side, the kitchen operates with the kind of standards that signal consistency and pride. Homemade, fresh pasta across the board is a major differentiator, and the cleanliness/structure of the kitchen area reflects strong back-of-house management. The use of fresh, organic wood elements adds to the impression of care and quality—especially fitting for a standout seafood pasta experience. The emotional “ROI” was real too: the ravioli wasn’t just good—it was personal. It brought me back to my high school years in Puerto Rico, which is the kind of memory-triggering dining moment that separates a good restaurant from a gem. Bottom line: Great wine pricing, premium hospitality, disciplined kitchen execution, and genuinely meaningful cultural connection. Im absolutely be back—and it’s easy to see why.
The food, the service and the atmosphere is beyond fantastic! Will definitely be back. Manny was our server and he was so kind, thorough and joyful. The entire staff genuinely looks happy to be there and that energy is contagious. My mom ordered the scallops which were heaven, and my dad and I split the sirloin- of the sirloin was that divine I can’t imagine how the ribeye would be. I loved it here and will definitely be back :)
Nice ambiance and very kind hostesses. Bartender was solid and professional. Ordered a Spanish pork steak or something of the sort, not my favorite, BUT I will be going back because I know this place is worth another visit just from the staff alone. Very well kept, and clean restaurant with nice decor.

Citrone Italian Chophouse delivered an excellent experience from start to finish. Fresh focaccia, prosciutto-wrapped dates with Gorgonzola, flavorful gnocchi, and a perfectly cooked 8oz Wagyu Zabuton steak—all outstanding. The Apple Crostate was the perfect finish. Great cocktails, attentive service, and truly high-quality food. Highly recommend!
Came here for our first time: it’s expensive, the food was pretty good. The steak was delicious. The beet salad wasn’t really a salad, but unique and different. We had good service. Overall I’d give it a 3.5/5.
Came here with my wife to celebrate having a baby. I don't like making reservations so we just walked in around 7pm on a Friday. It was pretty packed but we didn't wait long to be seat. The staff were friendly but service was very slow. I had to reorder my crab cake appetizer because they forgot I ordered it. They were ok I would try something else next time. My wife and I split the $160 Tomahawk with a side of mashed potatoes. It was delicious but hard to justify the price. My dog enjoyed the leftover bone. The side dish was unremarkable. I would come back to try something else. It is a nice place to have a special celebration.
Food is good, and service is good. Also there's a lot of vegan food on the menu that sounds good. Very good place to enjoy a nice dinner with your friends or partners.

We came here for dinner on Mother's Day as a family. It's located in our favorite part of Redlands. It was our first time to dine here, and we're excited to discover what they had to offer. First, the atmosphere and ambiance. First rate for sure. Rustic and cozy just works with Italian cuisine, in my opinion. The service: equally amazing. Our server was attentive, informative, and genuinely pleasant. The tip she received was commensurate with the excellent service we received from her. The food is pretty good, but not the best Italian food we've had. Our favorite food item that we ate? Hands down the mushroom pizza. The crust was amazing; the mushroom flavor strong, but not off-putting. My daughter was happy with her stuffed cannelloni. The serving size was just perfect for her appetite thar night. My son's spaghetti vesuvius had an amazing, fresh-tasting sauce, but was quite small. Definitely not enough for his teen-boy-sized appetite. I enjoyed my husband's beet salad, with the creamy ricotta and peppery arugula, but he was underwhelmed. My rack of lamb was perfectly cooked, and did not taste gamey at all. The octopus appetizer was tender with a great marinara sauce, but we've had better. We opted to share the apple puff pastry dessert, which was fine, but I was a little disappointed at the soggy bottom part of the pastry.
Citrone Italian Chophouse is a beautiful restaurant that occupies the former Olive & Citrus building in Downtown Redlands. From its former location on Orange St, Citrone made a great move to this space so I was excited to make reservations and give Citrone a try. My party and I arrived half an hour early for reservations. While my reservation was for the outdoor patio, I did let the host know we’re flexible with sitting inside - whichever section was ready first. However, we still waited 45 minutes to be seated. When the hostess approached our party, she said she would seat us in the private dining room. We were shown to an area between the kitchen and the restrooms where other Asians were seated. How odd. There was a booth in front of the bar that was empty for at least 10 minutes but wasn’t given to us. It was given to a Caucasian couple who arrived after we did but seated before we were. As we got seated, we noticed another Asian family that was seated in the “private dining area” - they were also waiting to be seated (same reservation time as ours) earlier that evening. Weird to see that there was separation of groups… Our server, Mary, was a sweet young lady. She was kind when taking our order but had to flag her down a couple times to refill my water - that should clue you in to how long we had to wait. The service was super SLOW! We were at the restaurant for almost 3 hours. The pace of the food coming out was off and took longer than most restaurants. I don’t know if they had purposefully made the private dining guests wait longer than other patrons… sus. As far as the food, we ordered the following: * Bacon Brussel Sprouts - This was good and we shared this side as an appetizer. It would be best if it were roasted but I’m glad we had this to hold us over since the rest of the food came at a snail’s pace. * Corn Agnolotti - The flavor had a natural sweetness from the corn and the pasta was cooked al dente. Flavor-wise, it was lacking something else on top of the truffle butter sauce. I think the sweetness from the corn made it harder to finish the dish. The presentation could be better, too. * Tartufata - This had the perfect pizza crust. Light and slightly floppy. The wild mushrooms with truffle oil, pecorino, and mozzarella cheese were a good combination. * Tagliatelle alla Bolognese - This was disappointing. While the tagliatelle was homemade, it was also overcooked, which made the pasta less appetizing. It is supposed to have wagyu beef, veal and pork in its sauce but seemed nonexistent. The whole dish just did not taste good. I don’t mind paying for quality food but - let’s just say, Citrone wasn’t worth it. We left underwhelmed. The food wasn’t special, the service was slow, the price doesn’t justify the food, and the experience was less than desirable. At least I know why I was never drawn to Citrone and why I cannot recommend them. It’s such a shame.
We did free street parking and had reservations. Honestly we don’t know how this place can be so highly rated. We’ve gone to many Italian restaurants and this has got to be one of the worst. The best thing of the restaurant would be its atmosphere. Service was okay, nothing stellar or bad. The food was so bad. It shouldn’t be this way at this price point. I’ve never been to a place that can mess up garlic bread. The food has varying temperatures, like only one side of the dish is heated. The bread was just mushy soaked with butter. It didn’t seem to be heated or toasted. Even the outer skin of the bread was not crunchy. Those meatballs were the worst meatballs we’ve ever had. There was no texture, like you’re biting into jello. Then the meatball I got was cold inside. I kept complaining about temperature but my boyfriend said his was fine/hot, just that there’s no texture. The garlic bread was the same—some were cold and some were barely warm. I tried another meatball and it was hot inside. I don’t know how they’re heating their food, but it’s so strange to consistently only have one side of the food be heated. My boyfriend got the gnocchi. It was very bland. It was like eating pillows of plain white rice. The sauce did not add much flavor. I got the orecchiette. The waiter warned that it would be bitter. I thought it would be interesting to try, since I can eat bittermelon. It was bitter indeed, but there was no balance of flavors. It was just only bitterness. Why would you put out a dish like that? The texture was decent, but that was it.
