Total guest experience. Top quality food, especially the 55-day aged steak. "Pittsburgh Char" was not available but we otherwise enjoyed a very hearty meal, well worth the price.
Took my wife here to celebrate her birthday. To be honest, I have nothing negative to say. Everything was perfect. Our server was attentive, the food came out quickly, the flavors were exquisite, and the atmosphere was pleasant. Even with the noise around the restaurant and bar area, we never felt overwhelmed. I'm absolutely returning to Davios because the only issue I had was that there were so many more items on the menu I wanted to try! I'm from MA and can't wait to try Davios in Boston and Patriot Place as well! Thanks for a spectacular evening!
This place is great! We have lived in the area for 5 years and ordered take out a bunch of times, but this was the first time we actually sat inside. The service was excellent, really friendly attentive staff. Mark was our server and he was superb. We ordered cocktails, soup and salad to start. Then the sea bass and butternut squash pasta and some wine for our main. All excellent! Our 2 year old came with us and they even gave her fresh bread to take home because she loved it so much. We will probably be regulars there now!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Refined Culinary Experience from Start to Finish Dining at Davio's is not just a meal—it's an experience in excellence. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism that immediately set the tone for the evening. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between upscale and welcoming, with tasteful décor, soft lighting, and just the right volume of background conversation and music to allow for intimate conversation. The service was impeccable. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about both the menu and wine list, and offered thoughtful recommendations that enhanced every course. The pacing of the meal was flawless—no rush, no lag—just a seamless flow from appetizer to dessert. The food itself was exceptional. The house-made tagliatelle was perfectly al dente, tossed in a delicate truffle cream sauce that was rich, aromatic, and elegantly restrained to let the pasta shine. The center-cut filet mignon was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and plated with roasted root vegetables that added a beautiful seasonal touch. We also tried the lobster risotto, a rich, decadent dish that was expertly balanced and deeply satisfying. Wine selection? Outstanding. The sommelier helped us choose a bold yet smooth Barolo that paired beautifully with our entrees. To finish, the warm butter cake was a revelation—crisp on the outside, soft and fragrant inside, served with fresh berries and a scoop of vanilla bean gelato that completed the evening on a perfect note. In a city filled with fine dining options, Davio’s stands out for its consistency, quality, and refined hospitality. We will absolutely return and recommend it wholeheartedly for business dinners, celebrations, or a romantic evening out. Bravo, Davio’s
This is my goto when I'm visiting Reston. The staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The food is always perfect and the drinks are amazing. I truly call these folks friends.
Creamy corn was my favorite side. The Fusilli with prawns was delicious. Acorn vegetarian dish was also delicious. Higher price point but excellent experience and meal. Service was outstanding. I had a great time dining for a special occasion.
I had a private baby shower here, and I’m so glad I chose Davio’s. Carlos, the event manager, was on top of everything, and the staff on the day was perfect. The food was excellent, especially the gnocchi. Also, my cake, which the baker made, was incredible. All of my guests raved about how good it was. I'm so happy we hosted my event here and would highly recommend it to anyone.
Stopped in last night for a birthday dinner and had a great time. The staff was super attentive and very accommodating to a gluten allergy. Moments after being sat they had a basket of gluten free bread ready for us! Shout-out to Bryce for his great energy!
I had a great time here, on Thanksgiving day me and my family had the most delicious Italian food. Everyone were very courteous and gave great service. Especially Krystal who was the house manager was super sweet and even gave us a complimentary dessert as I was celebrating my new job. I would highly recommend it.
We visited Davio's for the first time this Sat night. We are so glad we did. Professional friendly staff, amazing food, and service. Everything was fresh and tasty. Our favorite place in the area for steak and seafood is D.C. Prime. This is right up there with them. We will be back soon! Thank you.
Great experience at the Davios in Reston at the bar as well as the special seating for larger groups. The staff are settling in at the relatively new restaurant in the area but have been trained well to offer the best to the customers. Quality of the drinks was great. This restaurant will be one of the go to places in Reston for special occasions as well as a casual work lunch.
The new Daviosrestaurant in Reston ♡ You have to check them out! We had a 4 course meal and of course, we shared everything so we can taste multiple options & drinks. Started out with the Tuna 'nachos' & crabcake ( the crabcake was my favourite app), than we both had the butternut squash tortellini (the brown butter sauce is *chefs kiss*), than for entrée we did the sea bass & steak which were both quite good (both were cooked perfectly) and ended it all with a vanilla bean pannacotta & fresh berries. Overall was yummy & I would be back! We had the pleasure of meeting CEO Steve DiFillipo at the media night who flew in from Boston & gave us each a copy of his book " It's all about the guest" ! - IG @ SpicyAivy
The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. The service was impeccable. Everyone was friendly and attentive but not overly interruptive. The atmosphere was classic fine dining steakhouse and the music was great. And bonus - parking is validated.
A great place. Our food was perfectly cooked and great quality. It wasn't really busy when we went so we sat at the bar. The bartenders were very nice. They give you free popovers which are delicious. You can get any pasta dish as an appetizer as well.
We were there for my Wife's birthday and she really enjoyed everything. Diana was our waitress and she was amazing. Everything came out hot and fresh even the deserts. Highly recommend the 16 oz Ribeye and OMG the Oyster Rockefeller was amazing.
The food was delicious, especially the Philly cheese steak spring rolls that Davio's is famous for. I was pleased they had so many non alcoholic options, of which I had the Lavender Butterfly Martini. I would especially recommend them for parties or gatherings, as they have lovely party rooms and the staff were incredibly attentive to us and even helped carry gifts to our cars following my friends baby shower. 5/5
The food, service and atmosphere was too good for me to take pictures of what I was eating. Never disappointed with this place. Great bar. Our bartender was really quick. Our waiter sounded like an encyclopedia. He knew every small detail about every dish we ordered. The food taste and presentation was amazing. Love 💘 love love.
We swung by on a whim for our Anniversary. It was nice, quiet, and intimate. While a little expensive, we enjoyed the food and had a positive experience.
The opening was a firework of taste explosions on the tongue. The finest of the fine was constantly refilled by the numerous staff or brought directly to the table. Yes, the bar was also incredibly well frequented until the end. But the bartenders had everything under control, so I never had to wait longer than 5 minutes. I'm not a vodka fan, but this one deserves a special mention. I don't know the name, but it was smooth on the finish and tasted like Chanel and Bottega Veneta in Marriage. Just perfect. The starters ranged from the finest oysters to gigantic prawns to the finest seafood salad and much more that I didn't even try. I left out the “main course” in the form of many small odeuvres. So I still had some room for dessert. Which again consisted of thousands of little things that the hard-working service team continuously distributed to the guests. If you didn't get enough here or went home thirsty, you're lying and are from the competition, who have to dress warmly from today. Davios sets new standards in Reston and the surrounding area.
Very nice place we went in between brunch and dinner so it was not too busy, the service was great, the food was excellent can get there by the Metro it stops right there
After reading some reviews below we were not sure what to expect, but we were very happy with our experience and will be returning! Bryce impressed us with his service and knowledge of the food. Everything we ordered was delicious and fresh! This was a “mom and dad first night out with baby” and it was an absolute success. Thank you staff and Bryce!
Incredibly good drinks and food. They have some of the best gnocchi with mushrooms ever made. I really appreciate the manager coming by and asking how everything is; This isn’t done anymore at other places.
We chose Davio’s for our son’s rehearsal dinner and could not have made a better choice! The planning was easy with their excellent sales manger, Carlos. The night of the event the food and service was more than outstanding! Our party of 50 was blown away by the event. I would highly recommend Davio’s for private events and all your dining needs.
5/5 for me. My family took me to Davios for my birthday dinner. We were given a private room for 7, the customer service from the time we entered was impeccable. Our server was Jean, she wss THEE Best!! We bonded over our hometown Team Eagles going to the Superbowl, lol. I think 5/7 had the short beef ribs. It was soo tender and tasty, my niece had salmon and my nephew had a steak. Everyone was pleased with their meals. I had a couple of margaritas, they were on point! I have no complaints. The service, the food and the ambiance were all top level. Will definitely be back!
Riccardo and Blanca were my friends in this place. They made my time at this restaurant enjoyable and delightful. The food is excellent, I had the skirt steak with lobster based on their suggestion, and it was truly a treat. I’m sure I’ll be back.
I recently came to Davios with my family for the first time and had a great experience! While our food was amazing what truly stood out was the exceptional service we received. Our server Lilly was so kind and very accommodating to our needs.
nice and clean with plenty of seating. they have good speciality drinks and large selection. bartender was great, very prompt, attentive, friendly and kept our water filled
Been here a few times. This time really stood out for the service, our server was named Lilly and she was outstanding, very sweet and accommodating. Will definitely be back soon!
Great experience, Great staff, Great food We had a private party and the food, the staff and the room we booked were all above what we expected. Beautiful space and hardwood floors, just everything. Planning already to come back for our anniversary. Lots of people helped in person and on the phone when we were planning and of course the servers that night. Wonderful place.
We went during restaurant week, and the set menu was fabulous. Watermelon gazpacho soup was fresh, full of flavor, and so delicious. I had a perfectly cooked medium-rare steak for my entrée that was one of the best steaks I have ever had. The butter cake dessert with sour cream gelato was a perfect end to an excellent meal. Service was professional and very attentive to our needs. Highly recommend and look forward to going back.
We’ve been visiting Davio’s regularly for almost three years, and the food and service somehow manage to improve with every visit. The servers and bartenders are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and the portions and seasoning are consistently perfect. We even hosted our elopement reception in the private dining area, and it was a wonderful experience. The management team—specifically Savannah and Korinna—is attentive, thoughtful, and always goes the extra mile to ensure we’re taken care of. A special shout-out to our most recent server, Mark; he was so engaging and funny that we could have spent the whole night chatting with him! We are never disappointed here and cannot recommend them enough.
The Christmas Eve feast of seven fishes was one of the most fabulous meals I’ve ever eaten. The chef is creative and each item was perfect. I have had a lot of crab cakes and this one is unique and the best I have ever tasted. The oysters Rockefeller also the best I have experienced. The service was impeccable and the atmosphere was amazing. Diana was our server and was the epitome of Christmas spirit, hospitality and a good wine picker. The friendly and hard working staff are doing a great job. This restaurant is trying hard, doing a great job and we will go back over and over. It is in my personal top 3 in the Reston area along with Passion Fish and L 'Auberge Chez Francois.
Lovely evening spent celebrating our dozenth anniversary. We had a perfectly cooked calamari, the hot peppers were a delicious, briny bite among the squid. We also shared the Brussels sprouts and goat cheese tots. Our dinners were of the meatiest prawns amd succulent sea bass. All the dishes were perfectly cooked and well balanced. Lilly, Our server, made great recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed.
Been to Davio’s a few times and it has always been a great experience! Sat at the bar, had brunch, and joined for dinner and it’s a great place to celebrate special occasions or just enjoy a quiet evening for bar food and drinks! The service has always been great, even if something doesn’t go as planned, they make sure to make it right! This is a sleeper spot for nice dining or neighborhood hang out. They do validate parking so make sure to scan your ticket on the way out! You have to try their dinner bread…sooo good!
I've been a regular at Davio's Reston Row since the soft opening in 2022. Over the years, I've watched the staff and menu evolve up and down, which is typical of any business. However, this year has brought some of the most memorable dining experiences I've had anywhere. As someone with celiac disease, I've spent years assuming traditional holiday meals were in the past. Davio's proved me wrong. For Thanksgiving, Chef Edgar Mendoza prepared a complete gluten-free feast: turkey, gravy, stuffing, and mashed potatoes. It was the best Thanksgiving meal I've had in a decade. I nearly cried. On Christmas Eve, I returned for a gluten-free chicken parmesan with their incredible GF bread, plus the Christmas in the Keys mocktail—a refreshing blend I'll be ordering again. The team here is a big reason I keep coming back. Naz H. greets guests with genuine enthusiasm and knows the menu and its offerings inside and out. General Manager Donald Laing fosters a sense of community—he remembers your name and checks in without hovering. And Chef Mendoza delivers gluten-free dishes that never feel like substitutions. Dietary restrictions don't have to mean settling and Davio's understands that.
The Sunday brunch we went for was awesome. The complimentary bread is to die for. I ordered French toast and my wife got some kind of veggie omelette. They both were top of the line. The price was around $20-30 per person and I will definitely go back again soon. FYI though , they don’t have pancakes or waffles but after that complimentary bread, you won’t need them.
When you want a great steak come and check this place out. Eating outside or in its always an experience. Besides the long walk to the bathroom this elegant nicely laid out place is more than solid for good food and service. Although please don't do more than the stars when reviewing them through their own app because they don't ever see the comments it appears. Easy valet parking except if plaza even is going on so watch FRI and SAT nights. If you are up for it there is plenty of garage parking just make sure you remember when to go.
Not my favorite. So many open tables on a Saturday night should have been a clue. The restaurant ambiance is super chic and they dressed it up nicely but the food is disappointing. Table side caesar + popovers were pretty amazing but it was all downhill from there. The steak and spring rolls were disappointing. Feel like their hot tower seafood (try something different) might've been a mistake, perhaps their cold tower is better? Definitely better options for Italian steakhouse in Nova, imo.
Beautiful restaurant, good design, great concept. The food was good but not excellent. tuna tartare was nice presentation, but the herb pasta chip was soggy due to moisture absorption. Crab cake was one of the best I have ever had. No bread crumbs and very good flavor. the 55 days aged rib eye steak had no flavor of aged steak at all. Fault advertisement! Just like a lot of restaurants advertised Kobe beef, but actually it was not. The cannoli dessert was nice and crispy, garnished with seasonal berries. the Nebiolo grappa (eau de vie) was nice. The espresso coffee was not up to Italian standard. I didn't get a creamy layer of crema on the Italian espresso. Not sure why they served dinner fork with dessert. There was no salad fork or dessert forks in the restaurant. The sauces ordered additional to the steak was not served with the spoons. Additional sauteed spinach was nice. the service was lack of details. My server/bartender tried her best.
I went here for thanksgiving with my family. It was pretty good. Very expensive. Server was a little slow with my drink and did not explain the desserts to us. Overall, it was good but definitely expensive. I had the lobster risotto and it was great! The serving sizes are good, big enough for sure.
I didn't get my drink until mid-meal and the crab cakes leave something to be desired (old bay) but otherwise the food was amazing. Was a first going here. It's definitely an experience. Definitely recommend the cold seafood tower! The service also leaves something to be desired, as my date had to flag multiple people for my drink.
Our company division gathered for a function here. Food was good, my mocktails were yummy, service was excellent, and the atmosphere classy. We had an enjoyable time.
The kitchen and service at Davio’s absolutely nailed it! We had the classic Davio's experience: world-class food paired with great table service. When one of their staff followed me into the restroom just to hold the door for my exit, and came back following me, it felt like it crossed the line. Whatever that was for, it was so "high-touch" it borders on the theatrical.
I was there this evening with my son and husband for my birthday dinner. The service was great! But we were sitting next to a group of obnoxious women who had their ring light and phones out the whole time we were there. There’s a time and place to be on your phone and at a fine restaurant is not the place. When we approached the manager at the end of the night and mentioned it to him, he didn’t seem to care. It truly ruined my night and took away from what was supposed to be a nice evening with my family to celebrate my birthday.
We came in for a late dinner around the holidays, quite excited for the upscale steak restaurant, but the upscale quickly faded away with the service. For the prices they change we really expected slightly above average attention and we didn’t get that. Our server didn’t come back to our table for quite long time while we wanted to order wine with our steak. By the time he arrived we almost finished the meal, didn’t even get his attention during the enjoyment-of-food part. They weren’t busy at all, and we had to get attention of someone else walking by to get basic things. Was disappointed. The food was great, and the cocktails were extremely overpriced. They really need to keep on training for this level of dining. I think we got more attention at Silver Diner than we did here.
VERY disappointed. went there to celebrate my moms birthday. they gave us a card stand, which was nice, but that was probably the best thing that happened. Drinks took almost an hour to get to us, there were only 5 of us and 4 of us got drinks. Had to ask multiple times where our drinks were. Appetizers came out relatively fast compared to when our entrees came out, doesn’t say much though as the entrees came out almost and hour and a half later. As well, the steak that was ordered medium, was RAW, not rare, RAW. Told our server and got the manager. Server was apologetic and she was good, but the manager did not even apologize. When they brought our steak back to the table to “fix it” the steak was rare at best still. But we didn’t wanna say anything as we were all finished eating by the time the new steak came and it wasn’t worth the further hassle. The birthday dessert was comped, but no candle. They should have comped at least half the steak meal as well, especially with the long wait time and poor service overall. One of the longest wait times at a high end restaurant like this. Spent over $500 for poor service and experience. Would not come again. Eddie V’s is much better and the service is 1000 times better!!
Had dinner with a large group (13) on Christmas Eve. Food was good but unfortunately, the service was awful. We were seated on time, it took us one hour to get our first drink served, two and a half hours until first entree was served, and four hours total by the time we left. Along the way, our first server disappeared for 30 minutes, a second server arrived, most of our main course sides were never delivered to the table, we were seated in the back room and people were leaving via the "emergency exit" in the room which allowed arctic air in the room every 15 minutes or so, and our (second) server just mumbled the kitchen is kind of backed up. You think? I used to eat a Davio's regularly, but they are overwhelmed (and don't staff properly) on nights like this. No Manager visible either, which is a shame because our wait staff did not seem to care much. For $150 a head ... pathetic. Avoid Davio's
My wife and I both got steaks, she ordered hers medium, I got medium rare. When the steaks came out, I cut into it and saw that it was super undercooked probably more rare/blue rare than medium rare. Hers was also undercooked, but much less unreasonable. It took 5 minutes for someone to come by the table, when they did, they took the steak and threw it back on the grill for 2 minutes tops? When the steak came back out, it was barely cooked any longer and the outside was just burnt. Rather than complaining and waiting even longer, we just ate the mashed potatoes and the bits of steak not still mooing and left. What parts of the steak I did get to eat were bland and had to be eaten with potatoes to even be close to palatable Literally called Davios Northern Italian STEAKHOUSE, can't cook a steak. Crazy. What a waste of 55 dollars per steak. Pay a little more and go to Mortons. You'll have a better meal and drinks.
I think my direct email already sent but i got nothing from manager so i have to say it here.. Unfortunately Firstly, I would like to commend your service staff for their excellent hospitality. Our server was attentive and professional, which I truly appreciated. However, I must express my disappointment with the quality of the food during my visit. To start, the tuna tartare was far from what I had anticipated. The texture was overly creamy, the dish had a raw smell, and the presentation did not match the photos I had seen in online reviews. Instead of a well-balanced dish, the tuna was mixed with avocado in a way that seemed unappetizing and unappealing. Unfortunately, it left a so much poor first impression. The overcooked crab was mediocre; however, I did enjoy the accompanying sauce. Moving on to the entrées, I was disappointed with all three dishes: • The steak lacked flavor and, in my opinion, did not justify its $54 price tag, either in taste or presentation. • The salmon was average; I managed to enjoy the rice, but overall, it did not meet my expectations. • The lobster risotto was overly creamy and lacked the proper balance and texture. Despite my efforts to make the best of the evening, this experience fell short, especially since my boyfriend had highly recommended your restaurant based on a previous visit during the soft opening. To make matters worse, the following morning, I experienced severe stomach discomfort, including nausea and vomiting. This unfortunate turn of events prevented me from attending work that day, which only added to my frustration. Thank you
Arrived on time for our 6:30pm reservation Thanksgiving dayand had to wait at the bar for about 10 minutes or so. No big deal about that, however, I wanted to order a cocktail and when I asked for Kir Royal, the bartender gave me a puzzled look as if he couldn’t understand what I was asking for, so thinking that maybe I wasn’t pronouncing it correctly, I spelled it out, and he continued to give me a puzzled look that bordered on impatience and disdain until I said well I guess you don’t have it and he said, Yeah I guess we don’t. I don’t know what the expectation was. Maybe his expectation was that I only order their signature cocktails… But rebuffing a customer like that and just walking off…?? Luckily, when we were seated and I asked the waitress if she had thought I could get a kir royal, said oh yeah I know what you mean and I got one. So the waitress and the food which was good restored the evening but I just don’t know if I would go back there again after the bartender’s behavior. I’ve worked in restaurants before so I know that maybe he might’ve been thinking well I’m not gonna get much of a tip out of this so why bother, but here’s the thing … that’s what happens in restaurants. People have to wait at the bar sometimes before a table opens and sometimes they’d like a drink. And no, you’re not gonna get a huge tip out of it in general. Sorry. Deal with it. That’s why servers tip out the bartender.
