Love the bartenders and that it is dog friendly! My favorite local bar
The best tiny bar in the city - Love that I can take my dog ANY time!
Super cute little place! Good beer selections and great bartenders!
Nice little place to visit great beer. And dog-friendly makes it a great place to go to.
Cutest little bar with all craft beer for $5. Great atmosphere.
Great minature pub. Good beer selection. They have a deal with pizzeria across the street, so you can order food and they bring it over.
Cool little spot in a great location. Bartender was handing out St Patrick's Day gear and dealing deftly with the pedal tour crowd.
Awesome little place, we hung out there for a few hours watching the pride parade🤭 good beer selection and very personable staff
Great place locally enjoy the locals feel the owner and bartenders are very friendly
Live around the corner and it's nice to go and just relax. Friendly bartenders.
I visited for a 7:30 am game. Liverpool vs Everton. Great environment to watch the game! YNWA
Half pint is the best Park Ave bar. Super cute but classic at the same time. Tim was an amazing bar tender.
Perfect after work beer place. Loved the selections. The bartender was delightful. The atmosphere was just right.
Small, but good... soccer crowd on weekends. Limited food menu, but they got all the bar basics
Half in many ways. Quaint setting on street corner with inside and outside seating. Worthy craft beer selections. Popular spot on sunny day.
Very nice little place to have cocktails, great service , will be back again .
Great little bar! Very attentive bar staff, very friendly security. Dog friendly, which I love!!!
Great bartender, beer and good vibes!
Bartender logically explained why he would choose firing squad as his proffered choice of capital punishment. Also great beer. 5/5
Love this place ! Small on the inside with limited seating but a must go place in the summer with great out door seating . They offer food from Mozzeroni's across the street or you can just walk over and order yourself which lets you access their full menu instead of just what half pint had to offer. Beers rotate frequently as well!
Great pub!! We were walking past and stopped for a drink. We had our dog with us and the tender brought out a bowl of water just for the pup!! Great staff and amazing atmosphere. Highly recommend
used to live about a 1 minute walk away and I'd go here on most days when a Bills/Knicks game was on. But dont think of it as a sports bar b/c its certainly not. An awesome hole-in-the-wall at a great location:) The crowd is usually hip & large [sometimes a bit too much so], drinks were always good to me and i never had, or saw, a problem with customers/workers/whoever in all of my times there.
Goodtimes... If u can find your spot. What lacks in space available creates a very unique experience. If your open to meeting or just speaking to someone outside your circle this is the place. You will be welcomed by all and if ur lucky by a four legged friend. Yes its a hip spot with limited space and you will leave with a smile and feeling good!
Comfortable & Quaint Unassuming little place about the size of a hobbit house from the exterior... which is a plus+ in my book. Inside a cozy place that is always warm and inviting. Bartenders are great.
I love this pub. It can get very cramped due to its size, but the size is the charm. It does close early because of a noise ordnance, but it is a good weekday/happy hour stop or first stop on the weekends
Small pub. Highly recommend! Always packed with friendly people. Fun staff. Great selection of craft beers and wines. Furry friends are generally welcome as well
We just happened to be there for St. Patrick's Day this year. Coolest little pub in the world.
Great place to watch Liverpool games for sure. The environment is awesome and the service is great.
Great drinks, good seating outside, and you can order food from the pizza place across. 10/10 love a great little spot to get drinks, food, and to catch up with friends.
Delicious beer. Tiny place (obviously) but great atmosphere and people. Schianos pizza (across the street) will walk you over a 🍕!
its a small place, but its nice and the view or the neighboring shops and ambiance is great, I always love this place as there is outdoor seating in the summer time to sit and enjoy a good beer
Small and enjoyable bar to stop for a drink. They offer a variety of beers mostly from New York breweries and allow a half pour giving you the option to try two half pints of beer for the price of one.
Cool, eclectic bar with outdoor seating. The inside is a bit small but there are plenty of tables outside where you can have a drink and people watch. Drinks are cheap and strong 💪🏽
Great beer, people and bartender
Great little place to visit, that's the only issue, but that's part of the charm. You don't go there for the food, there isn't any. Wonderful time to meet a few friends, sit inside or outside and enjoy what Park Ave has to offer.
Kenzie was awesome! super informative and cheerful. Cute atmosphere and the manager who was sitting there was wonderful conversation!
Half pint is my new favorite bar. The environment christa creates is perfect and she’s the reason I’ll be returning for sure. 10/10 service
Great bar for watching Liverpool or even Arsenal when they’re playing Everton. Christa was very kind and made great beer recommendations.
AMAZING staff helped make our wedding after-party get together such a fun time!! They played great songs, sang along with us, and provided excellent service. Would highly recommend this bar!!!
I loved the Half Pint! Wish I lived nearby. Cute little place with some outdoor seating. Small but full bar with lots of great beers on tap. Love that they offer small sizes of beer so you can try several.
Half pint is my go to pub. The atmosphere is exactly what I look for in a bar, from bartenders, to the outside patio, to the chill vibes all around. I bring any friends and family from out of town here often and they all love it as well. Thank you to the killer bartenders!
What a neat little place. Lots of character and a great local pub. It does get a bit noisy but what do you expect from a place that you can see all four corners of the place while standing in the middle of the bar!
Great place for a pint of beer or cider. You can also order food served to you there from Schiano's Pizza across the street. Good vibes from customers and chilling on front patio BUT you will have to every limp d!ck D-bag from the hood drive by reving, speeding, doing wheelies on bikes or ATVs or some other illegal look-at-me nonsense... could use a cop at that intersection fr.
Fantastic craft draught selection, friendly staff, cozy atmosphere - bar is literally the size of a large shed. Great neighborhood spot. Outdoor seating in nice weather is superb too for taking in the Park Ave atmosphere. Affordably priced too.
One of the best places to have a drink in Rochester. While the tap may not be as diverse as other breweries, this pub provides one of the coziest places to watch the days go by. In the summer you'll want to sit and drink outside and watch all the dogs. If you are allergic to dogs you probably shouldn't come here.
Great little bar on a great street in a great American city. Don't let the name fool you, you'll be able to get some a full pint of some great draft beers. On nice weather days, bring your canine buddies along to hang out on the sidewalk patio.
We LOVED this place. A big group of us out-of-towners came in after a wedding and essentially took over the place. To say the staff went above and beyond to make our night amazing would be a huge understatement. What we all thought would just be a quick stop for a drink turned into a full impromptu afterparty, where strangers became friends. The staff simultaneously played bartender, DJ, and videographer, and they totally crushed it. Not to mention they busted out some sweet dance moves themselves. I can’t thank the team here enough for being so welcoming, accommodating, patient, and SO MUCH FUN. You guys rock!!!
Great little bar with a welcoming English vibe. Doesn't seem like the place to go crazy on a night out, but definitely perfect for some quality conversation and a beer.
Cool little tavern on Park Ave. Stopped in for a Guinness one afternoon during the week. Had kind of a "Cheers" atmosphere. Can imagine it would be quite crowded on weekends and/or nights. Great place to stop for a quick beer though.
Great little pub! Friendly bartenders, cozy atmosphere, and good beer! The outdoor seating is wonderful in the summer. Check this place out if you're in town!
Cozy, local atmosphere. Was here midweek so not crazy busy, just enough people to keep things interesting. Pretty good selection of beer. Didn't get food but there were options on the menu, maybe next time.
So cute in here you can tell they have lots of regulars loved the vibe.
Best Genny Cream Ale in town!
Tiny pub with outdoor seating. Beers on tap were delicious. Rochester patrons were delightful as expected.
Great beer selection, despite its name, they do have full pint pours. Small English pub feel with lots of outdoor sidewalk seating. Bartenders are awesome, courteous, knowledgeable, and very quick. Bonus, dog friendly for the outside seating!
Great atmosphere! Matt was a superb bartender! We'll be back, this could be our new go to place in the area!
Half pint is easily the coziest and most laid back bar I've been too. Monday night movie nights are great! Matt is a great bartender as well, helping us make selections and provided knowledgeable recommendations! Our go to bar with their "half pint" offer on select beers!
Such a cute little place! Always friendly staff and customers. Have only been for drinks - so can’t comment on food… Good selection on tap. Only drawbacks, in my opinion, are parking is hit or miss in this bustling neighborhood, and midnight closing time….
Cute little place with a nice rotation of beers. They strive to have a constant rotation, and some of the beers you can have in a half pint at half the price of a pint. Most bars charge a few dollars more for smaller beers (basically a half pint is more expensive per ounce over a pint at other places). A lot of these beers are tough to find in Rochester, so if you find something you like there you may want to go back sooner than later cause they will probably have a new great beer within a couple of weeks. Also, staff here are always and and attentive.
Great place, great people! Schiano's Pizza serves as their kitchen. Great food, right across the street, and the will bring it to the pub. For vegan options the Red Fern is across the street, great vegan food even if you're a carnivore! I have nothing but great things to say about the Half Pint. If you're a Liverpool FC supporter you can catch all the games there. It's the LFC supporters pub! YNWA....
Never visited often when I lived in NY, but it's a must visit for me now that I've moved away. Have always had a good experience and good service here. Super cute, plenty of outdoor seating, and there are always nice dogs to visit with.
Small little bar that has a good beer selection to choose from on tap. They have about 6 tables in total around the bar that can seat 2-3 people each. And have seating at the bar itself obviously. It’s a cozy little place that was open even during a snow storm recently! Drinks are fairly priced. Also has a bunch of food places within walking distance if you don’t fancy their own food choices.
Nice casual small pub to have some cocktails or beers.
Cool little brew pub with a good beer selection and outdoor seating. Food is available from the pizza shop across the street.
First time here in years, it's a great little place, so little that you have to go outside to change your mind
Great little bar. Drinks are not very expensive and good service. In the summer there is out door seating which is really nice.
Great little bar with an always impressive beer selection. Best time to do is in the summer to sit out on the sidewalk.
Great neighborhood pub if you can get a table. Tiny but good! Good beers on tap.
It's a nice, little pub. We enjoy visiting while out walking during the holidays.
They treat dogs like people, but it should be called celebrity bar. Always a different drink server, some rock some are lost in the sauce. Can be clichish at times depending upon bartenders friends and such. Cool dog bar in warm months
Great atmosphere, good range of beer. Interior is pretty small, it can get crowded fast, especially if a game is on. You can order food from the pizza shop across the street at the bar.
I didn’t love it because we wanted to have a nice dinner bye it’s mostly a pub. If you want to get a drink and maybe sit outside I would recommend it.
Ok ok- this place is tiny. That's why it's called "Half Pint." It looks like a gingerbread house. I always thought this building should be an ice cream stand, but then somebody made it one (no joke!) and it failed. Now it's a bar. When it's not packed, it's good! When it *is* packed...I dunno...maybe you like that kind of thing?
Definitely had a nice time here. Half Pint has a both low key and pleasant environment. It was fairly busy for a weeknight. The staff was friendly and the drinks seemed reasonably priced. Not a bad place for a first date.
The bouncer is so disgusting. He's always eating. His greasy fingers leave marks all over my ID. Bartenders are rarely friendly.....IS WHAT I SAID 5 YEARS AGO. It's actually pretty awesome there. Bartenders are good and the bouncer isn't the same gross dude anymore 😎
Popular place to grab a beer when the weather is nice and can enjoy the sidewalk and Park Ave location. Nice atmosphere inside off peak hours otherwise can be crowded since it's a miniature building. Overall a fun pub to have a beer.
Friendly staff, nice interior. Not much room, so it isn't the greatest weekend meetup spot, though they do have outdoor seating when weather permits. Great place for happy hour during the week.
Tiny bar with a ton of charm. Jessica was fantastic. She was extremely busy all night and was very pleasant the entire time.
There is no food, just booze. Service is good if there is no soccer on the TV. The best point to me is that you can bring your dog in with you
I find the bouncer a bit disrespectful. There’s a nice way to say they don’t accept my form of ID to be in the bar. I have yet to even try the food, simply because I can’t get past the door. Every night I was denied, I had no plans to drink. I just moved back, and I have tried different variations of ID. Digital and physical variations of a drivers license are dismissed before consideration. It’s the only place in town that won’t let me in. I went as far as bringing a physical copy of a photo ID and a birth certificate, which wasn’t any better than digital versions of all the various forms of ID we all have. You’re a bar, not a nuclear power plant, oui? Their lights and outside decorations are the best on Park Ave. I encourage ownership to add a community bulletin board to allow members of the community to share what’s important to them inside a well known place to eat & drink. To put Half Pint simply, it’s a community staple that really shines in the warm months when they decorate the street with tables, chairs, and happy people. Let me in!!!!
This place is okay, but I didn't find it to be too friendly. Probably best to go as a couple or with a group of friends, rather than go alone.
There is a limited drink menu but they sell Mortalis orange crème. The bar tender (female) ignores customers while chatting with friends.
Very small. not bad if you have a few friends, but if you're planning on going there with a lot of people or when they are busy, forget about it.
Nice beer selection, and great place to sit outside and have a beer on a nice night. Very small inside and food is not recommended.
I like the culture where they are inclusive of dogs. Beer selection was good. Loud inside. And there were some obnoxious patrons.
Service was okay. Nothing to be overly excited or upset about. Yates wasn't there, so that makes me upset. Also, people were hooking up in the 1 bathroom they have, so there was a line. Didn't take too long though, so sorry for her?
Not bad but too small and has too many regulars to where it's usually crowded and it's very difficult to get service in a decent amount of time. Also for the same reason it's not super convenient to bring a dog because there's so many non dog people there that you have to watch your dog like a toddler so it doesn't get stepped on. If you want to go have a drink and bring your dog try Caverly's on South Ave. It's five times the size and everyone there knows its a dog bar and they treat your dog well.
A very small bar which had nice outdoor seating when the weather is nice so I can imagine that it must get tight in cold weather. Some good beer but limited selection. Good location otherwise to drop in and grab a drink whether on the weekend or after work. No parking so on street parking.
This is a local pub that has a neighborhood feel. Service was good. Cute place with one unisex restroom which seemed a bit awkward with an open urinal.
It's monMon night at 9:45. 12 people outside, 3 people inside. Your female bartender needs to pay attention to customers standing at the bar trying to order drinks rather than just chatting the the 3 guys at the end of the bar. Extremely annoying. PS: I am a loyal/ often customer. This bartender is clueless. Which your tapes....
Service was extremely poor. Cordination between mozzeroni's for food is non existent. Enjoyed coming here for the atmosphere, but bartender could work on attitude towards customers she doesn't know.
Worst service, rudest bartender, weirdest vibe ever. On a Monday night -- she was just rude and incompetent, not because it was a busy night. She played with her puppy and took it outside to pee while people were waiting to order.
Christa the bartender was extremely rude! We asked her a simple question in regards to the beers on tap. She gave us a beer menu and told us to look at that. She said she didn’t have time to answer questions. It wasn’t busy. But she was busy on her cell phone. I would not recommend anyone to give this business money! There are many other watering holes around that have friendly employees!
Nice bar with friendly customer base. Last weekend we came in for our usual Saturday night drinks and we had no problems other than the fire alarm that was going off all night. I don’t mean an actual fire alarm, but the bartenders LAUGH! It sounded like a fire siren mixed with a normal woman’s high pitched laugh. We stayed for more than two hours and couldn’t get through a single topic of conversation without being interrupted by the loud and boisterous chortle of our bartender Jessica. While being polite and friendly she wasn’t well reviewed by other customers around us either. Other people were loudly complaining about the same laugh that we were. This was a strange review to write, just figured this business would like to know what customers do and do not like to hear while getting drunk.😂
I work for a small brewery and they refused to give back our keg after it was empty. When I showed up in person to get it back, they wouldn't let me in the basement to retrieve it even after offering to repay the $30 deposit out of my own pocket. I ended up having to call the police to settle the dispute, at which point they had me trespassed by the police. Update: Now they're claiming they don't have the keg, which is interesting since we have a signed check paying for it including a deposit.
Hostile male bartender to anyone that isn't white and pressures and berates customers for tip and not tipping. The selection of drinks was okay though!! I'm not sure if the bartender was in a bad mood that day, but it's insane for customers to be treated that way. It really is a shame because the atmosphere was pretty nice.
