This place has great music, big dance floor, tasty food, sweet bartenders, and any drink you need. Parking is easy and so we s public transport or easy walk. Go here for a great night out.

Skylark is the best bar in Rochester, hands down. The food is good, the drinks are cheap, it's not too bright inside and they have an awesome back patio area. I simultaneously want everyone to go there and also want to keep it all to myself.

Some of my best "neighborhood bar" memories are from Skylark Lounge. The food is great, the CD jukebox is awesome, and the atmosphere is cozy & quiet enough to hear the person you are with. There's pinball in the corner, local art on the walls and a band stand for live acts on the weekend. On street parking out front and across the street 🍺

Had a great time here last night! Staff is super friendly and attentive. Reasonably priced food and drinks. Food is a unique meatball menu with sides. Relaxed fun atmosphere. Eclectic jukebox selections.

Fun bar off of Union street.down the road from the madness of East and Alexander. Good drink prices,bartenders are awesome. Big club feel in a down to earth place. Great art work for sale too.

Fantastic bar. Great design and decor. Exposed brick walls covered in trippy original art. Decent prices on drinks. I didn't order food but my friend got the $5 burrito and said it tasted good but too many beans. It was a little too sloppy, could use some rice as a binder. The best part is it's a great room for killer, unique original music. A raised stage sits in the back corner and the sound was perfect. I love this bar. I hope to play there sometime soon.

This is one of my favorite bars. Everyone that works here is so wonderful, and the atmosphere is on point. The food is super affordable and tasty as well (the vegan options are excellent, especially for a bar). Seeing live music here is also always a blast.

Nice place. Wife and I went out Saturday night in the middle of a snow storm. Band playing was "Judahs" or something like that, can't remember. They were pretty good. Noah hooked us up with some amazing meatballs and trash plate. Cover was $5. easy parking in the lot adjacent. Worth a night out.

Always amazing sliders, accommodating bartenders, and really great prices! Very appreciated living in the city here where it's easy to see prices jacked up way too high for certain items especially. My husband and I go out a lot, and we love that we can come here for a quick bite and drink and don't feel ripped off whatsoever. The food is the best part. Love it, and so grateful to have this in our neighborhood.

Super awesome alternative bar in Rochester with an amazing and attentive bartender, Mark. They have cool DJs and shows here. It is actually quite large. When I was there, there was a DJ playing unique Krautrock music. They do offer food, but I sadly came too late. The coolest thing was they didn't have boring old seltzer but interesting ones from the brand Beelzebubbles. It's absolutely flavorful!

Skylark is one the coolest bars in Rochester! They have a unique interior that is reminiscent of a classic kind of bar, and the staff here is great. The food at Skylark is amazing so be sure to try some meat balls(so good!) And every other item the menu offers has great flavors and never disappoints. Skylark has great things to look at on the walls, as they feature showings of work from local artists every few months, and it's all for sale! Skylark also has a stage and offers live music sometimes, so be sure to check the schedule if you're looking for some good tunes!

Strolled into this place to kill time thinking it would be another forgettable night. Turns out our bartender Jon unintentionally changed our lives for the better. Served us steaming hot fried pretzels, incredible thoughtfully crafted cocktails and contagious laughter weaved amongst personal yet relatable conversation. Highly recommend coming here sometimes. Super cool atmosphere! Didn't have any drinks (underage), but I had some fries, and my boyfriend had their trash plate. Both were phenomenal! The sound quality for live performances is honestly pretty good too, for the space. Had a great night there!

Favorite place in town, staff is exceptional the the meatballs are to die for. Jon has got to be one of the greatest bartenders/food service workers I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. When I walked in for the first time, my friend & I had felt we had known him for years. All of the sauces & meat balls are incredible and their drinks are very reasonably priced + very good! This is the spot if you just want to chill out after a long day, or go and have a good chill time if you’re looking for something fun to do. Thank you guys for making such an awesome spot for us.

We go here for Burlesque shows put on by the Sirens & Stilettos, about every month. We've always received prompt and amazing service. The bartenders do a great job even when the bar is packed.

Very fun 50 retro inspired bar. The stage area is perfect for live music or shows. It's off of the east and Alexander beaten path but still close. MUCH quieter than other bars in the area. It feels more like a neighbor place, which I appreciate. The Sirens and Stilletos were a true treat to watch. The burlesque troupe that performed was true to the classic burlesque styling and hummor.

The skylark lounge is a weird strange place and I loved it. It's the epitome of a dive bar and yet it's not without it's own charm. They had live music, an easy flow of traffic, and omg their meat balls. Get some of these to sop up your troubles, or get these babys to go, especially if this is your last stop for the night.

Went to a burlesque show and ordered food and a couple of drinks. The bartender made my pineapple and Malibu just right. We also ordered a few of the fried balls, they are amazing, much better than other bar food I've had around town. The cheese dip was a little to spicy for me, but the parmesan dip made the fried mashed potatoes to die for.

Beer selection is fairly decent unless you are a total snob. The music was nothing but punk all night when I was there. The music selection could very well change anyone's opinion of a place from bad to good or vice versa. I happen to like punk but I understand it isn't for everyone. The place is set up with a small dance floor and stage on one half with a bar on the other. It seems that live music and DJ music is a fairly common occurrence so if you are interested in a low key affair plan accordingly and call ahead to see if there is music planned. There is a small menu of food available which strangely is meatball-centric. It was pretty good and relatively inexpensive but not the usual bar food experience. Overall I can see why the Skylark is well liked. It is kind of weird but if you aren't above that type of thing you should enjoy it.

Good beers, chill atmosphere. Mixed crowd as far as age. Outside area is great for fresh air and enjoying the weather with your drink and friends, unless the wind is sending cigarette smoke your way. They have several types of meatball sandwiches (or just meatballs not positive) to choose from. I've never eaten there.

Decent bar, usually dead which is great if you are looking for a quiet place. Food is okay, portions are perfect for the price. Not a fan of paying a cover for a DJ when I am only drinking in the back patio/smoking area. It's like paying for a concert ticket but sitting in your car the whole time.

Funky joint. Decent sound. Bar service likes to take their time though, especially when it's one of the busiest nights (NYE).

05/15/2021 My friends and I came in for a drink around 10:45. My one friend grabbed a stool and the bartender, didn't catch the name, stocky dude with light hair wearing a trucker had rudely barked "you can't move the stools they're there for a reason" A few minutes later after he did his best to take the drink orders with hostility; we sit at a table. Another guy takes the stool and moves it to literally where we were standing and he says nothing to them; and goes back to look long at his phone. Trash tier service and I'm surprised this dude even has a job. Definitely gonna be letting my friends know about the rudeness of this place.

The bartender was intellectually disabled I assume. I showed him my ID and it was saying (quote) “under 21 until 07/20/2021”. Yet he refused service based on the fact that it says “under 21” in the first part of the sentence. @manager/owner please make sure to educate your staff on how government issued IDs work, thank you!
