La mia prima volta. Ristorante a base di pesce, ma anche qualche piatto di terra. Non ho preso antipasto quindi non mi esprimo. I primi piatti erano tutti tradizionali, e quelli che abbiamo ordinato erano molto buoni. Il secondo era di pesce. Calamari cotti perfettamente ...ed erano molto freschi. Abbiamo provato i carciofi alla giudea ed alla romana....ottimi. Entrambe buoni, cotti perfettamente, non unti. Il servizio e' stato attento, cameriere gentilissimo. La selezione di vini in offerta non e' estremamente estesa, ma cantine di qualita', buon vini. Arredo semplice, un po' austero forse, ma elegante e pulito. Ci sono tavoli esterni, sulla piazzetta, ma all'interno c'e' un buon numero di tavoli, in sale diverse. Definirei questo locale come un ristorante tradizionale, di qualita', con una selezione di pesce fresco e ad un buon prezzo. La qualita' ovviamente si paga, ed a Roma la qualita' sta diventando merce rara! Tornero' presto.

One of our favorite meals in Rome. We went on New Years Day. Beautiful place, delicious food with an elegant twist on Roman classics, and the owner, her mom, and her daughter are incredibly kind. I had the pleasure to dine here on my latest visit to Rome, recommended by local friends and I had such a pleasant, memorable experience. The food was amazingly tasty and a variety of type of food option available for every taste and habit. The atmosphere and especially the service were absolutely outstanding. Dani, the owner is super helpful and kind and treats his guests like friends and family visiting his home and taking amazing care of them. I was sick and asked for fresh ginger with lemon and honey at the end of our evening. They didn’t have ginger. But Dani went out of his way, personally went to the store and got ginger for me. I was touched by such level of personal care. What an amazing place with so much warmth. I am deeply grateful and I know I will be back on my next trip to Rome (can’t wait!) and recommend this lovely restaurant to friends and family going to Rome. Honestly I highly recommend this place if you want a local (non touristy), family owned Roman experience.

A classy place with delicious food. A place to fall for amazing freshly cooked homemade pasta! I loved the service and the food. I had a zucchini pasta and my sister one with vongole. Both breathtaking! The Tiramisu was a dream with Espresso at the end. All I can say a must visit when you visit Rome. Best is to call and make a reservation for lunch or dinner.

What a gem. Full of Roman locals and the food was insane. 100% go for the fagioli and seafood soup, and don’t skip the fresh fish. Everything melts in the mouth. Highly recommend and will be returning next time I’m in Rome.

We had no reservation but were taken care of . Excellent food some portions we did not see I. Any other restaurant. Overall a great experience. The risotto is a bit over rated and not what we know as creamy rice but rather crispy rice.

My wife and I dinned at many places while here in Rome BUT Due Ladroni is the best Restaurant throughout our stay here. Don’t be fooled by the negative reviews. The food is impeccable, the service was brilliant by Luca. Grazie Luca for a night we will Cherish forever. See you in 2027.

We visited Due Ladroni on the advice of a local woman. It was everything she said it would be (thanks, Mikla!). The service is impeccable. Our man Carmine took great care of us and steered us in the right direction. We tried the shrimp carpaccio and the spicy anchovies. Not being an anchovy fan, I wanted to try them as Carmine strongly recommended them. They were fantastic. We then had the seafood risotto which was packed with shellfish and octopus. Also really good. The daily fish is the highlight of the menu. I had the sole meunière and my wife had the seabass, both accompanied by Roman chicory. The wine we chose was an oaky Pinot bianco from Northern Italy (Vorberg). We finished off the meal with lemon and tangerine sorbet. Make sure you get all four courses, sharing everything but the main fish course. The owner greeted us amiably on our way out and we told him of our thorough satisfaction. A high recommendation.

Excellent, excellent food from start to finish. Everything was amazing and this was one of our top meals in the city. Service was good and everything from start to finish was a masterpiece. Wine menu also had a great variety. Come here and have the full four courses, you won't regret it.

If you’re looking for outstanding Italian cuisine and exceptional service, all reasonably priced, then this is a spot for you. For the first course, we got lamb slices with a tuna and chickpea spread next to mussels and clams. My main course was pasta carbonara and fresh-caught Seabass. I finished the evening with Tiramisu and espresso. Our server Francesco is an absolute delight and a true professional. Next time I’m in Rome, I’ll be going down here again.

Ingredienti e materie prime di qualità, fra cui il tartufo. Menù variegato con pietanze anche non prettamente romane. Prezzi medio alti. Buono il servizio ai tavoli. Da migliorare la pulizia dei bagni, un po’ deludente considerando il livello alto del locale. Nel complesso esperienza positiva. Se cercate un ristorante in centro non turistico in cui non si mangi solo romano, questo locale è una buona opzione.

Bellissimo ristorante storico romano. In calda serata estiva ho prenotato un tavolo esterno, con gradevolissimo affaccio su Piazza Nicosia. Cibo di altissima qualità, ottimo servizio, pesce freschissimo. Una nota di merito per la ampia selezione di mezze bottiglie. Io ho optato per una mezza di Cervaro della Sala. Prezzi non economici ma giustificati.

Solid dinner but nothing that stood out to us besides the dessert. Both Pasta were cooked well, but the flavor was underdeveloped. Our octopus appetizer was displayed beautifully but again lacked seasoning. That being said, the short pastry with berries was exceptional and a highlight dessert of our trip.

I'm not sure what happened but our table and the one next to us had very slow and laid back service. It took over 35 minutes for two cold antipasti to come out, our wine was opened and the foil fell into the bottle so I had metal in my glass (they didn't replace bottle just new glass, told me it was a fly). The food was just okay, felt underwhelming. Cacio and pepe was over salted and couldn't taste anything but salt. Clams on my crostini were very sandy. Service was odd, I heard the table behind us get mad at slow service and their food being cold, we also had same experience. But another table nearby got offered seat cushions and were attended to every 3-5 seconds. Peculiar. We had much better food at restaurants in the Michelin guide for less money in the same neighborhood, I'd skip this place (seems they don't want tourists dining here anymore). Arguably our least favorite restaurant of our honeymoon in Italy.

Due ladroni direi che il nome del ristorante può assolutamente sintetizzare la mia esperienza, non piacevole. Ci siamo incontrati con degli amici e abbiamo scelto all’ultimo momento di cambiare ristorante e andare qui. Eravamo nel dehor in una calda serata romana e non vedevo niente: non riuscivo a vedere il menu. C’era una luce fioca, per leggere il menù ho usato il mio cellulare. Francamente per un ristorante di questo livello, almeno che si reputa di questo livello, non può essere che una persona non riesca a vedere il menu. Il menù un troppo esoso, tanti piatti secondo me un po’ eccessivamente cari per quanto di prima qualità. I piatti erano buoni non voglio dire il contrario per cui sarei sincero. A mezzanotte, però, quando ci arriva il conto, scopriamo di pagare 100 € a testa, dopo aver pagato il conto chiediamo, un giro di amari, ma il cameriere ci dice che non era più possibile perché avevano già chiuso il bar, o qualcosa del genere, allora un commensale chiede al titolare che gli risponde praticamente nello stesso modo l’ho trovato una grande caduta di stile anche perché un tavolo che in cinque ti spende 500 euro, anche se sono un po’ fuori orario (stiamo parlando di mezzanotte, devo dire questa caduta di stile che si aggiunge ad altre piccole defaillance della serata nel servizio, mi porta ahimè a dare una brutta recensione a questo ristorante

Non è più quello di una volta e mi dispiace perché negli anni l’ho sempre raccomandato ai miei amici stranieri in visita a Roma. Oramai è solo un ritrovo della provinciale borghesia di Roma nord con servizio pessimo, materie prime di bassa qualità, personale poco qualificato, scarse condizioni igieniche nei servizi. Consiglierei al management di acquistare un biglietto, salire a bordo di un frecciarossa per Milano ((non è necessario andare all’estero) e tastare con mano gli standard culinari e di servizio che i ristoranti nella stessa fascia di prezzo offrono nel capoluogo lombardi.

I 2 ladroni, di nome e di fatto. Non voglio entrare nell'analisi della bontà o meno del cibo, anche se devo assolutamente dire che quello che abbiamo mangiato si è rivelato sotto le nostre aspettative. Voglio solo citare i prezzi riguardo alcune pietanze prese da mio figlio: Pasta al pomodoro (circa 60 gr), prezzo € 18.50; 14 pezzetti di patate al forno, prezzo € 10.00; Inoltre cestino di pane, prezzo € 10,50; Carpaccio di polpo talmente tagliato sottile che si vedeva il piatto, prezzo € 22.00; 2 riso al salto (con brodo a parte) € 50.00 (a nostro avviso non sapeva di nulla). L'unica nota positiva sono stati i camerieri, giovani ragazzi italiani molto gentili e disponibili. Comprendo il fatto che il locale si trova in centro e che quindi i prezzi siano allineati ad un offerta turistica, ma almeno la quantità del cibo presente nel piatto ritengo debba essere in linea col prezzo. E mi riferisco soprattutto riguardo ad una semplice pasta al pomodoro e ad un misero piatto di patate al forno per un bimbo.

Peccato per questo locale che fa sedere i disabili in fondo quando prenotano. Pessimo trattamento nei confronti delle persone con disabilità. All'ingresso, nonostante avessi prenotato, hanno deciso di farmi sedere il più lontano possibile per non rovinare la "bella immagine"! Peccato!

We came with a large party and ordered drinks while we waited for the last few people to arrive. I immediately noticed my aperol spritz had a live worm crawling across the raspberry and called the waiter over. He seemed completely unbothered and said “okay, I’ll get you a new one.” The new drink arrives and I immediately noticed that the mint now has brown spots that look suspiciously like bugs — different bugs! I point them out to the waiter and he says “I checked, there are no more bugs.” So my sister pulls out the mint from the drink and, as we suspected, several small bugs jump off the leaf and start running around her plate. We call the waiter back over and ask for the check, politely saying we’ve decided to eat dinner somewhere else. The manager comes over to try and intervene, and when I tell him what’s wrong, he goes “okay so I’ll get you a new drink.” We calmly explain that it’s okay, we’re happy to pay and leave, and he keeps arguing that we didn’t even try the food and says “you’re going to walk away over that?”. We ask for the check and he starts yelling at us “GO THEN, GET OUT” while shooing us out and making a scene. He even accused us of getting upset over “a language barrier” while he was kicking us out so that the other diners would think we were in the wrong. And don’t even get me started on the flies trapped in the raw fish case, which were crawling all over the food! This is by far the most disgusting dining experience I have ever had! Avoid at all costs.

I don’t typically leave bad reviews but I’ll leave it at this. If you want to severely overpay for okay food and poor service. This is your place. $90 for small portion of lobster pasta and $97 for two fillets of sea bass. If you were going to pay $275 for a meal, I would suspect that you would have some level of attentiveness from the 10 waiters standing outside. I would also expect all the food to be excellent for that price but it was quite the opposite with poorly seasoned, overpriced food. I understand quality comes at a cost, but there are several other places I’ve had similar meals for less than $50 with higher quality. I hate to be a Karen, but if there’s one thing I hate in life, it’s being ripped off. And that’s what will happen to you here. At least go somewhere if they are going to charge this much, they will at least take care of you and serve food to the quality of the price you are paying.
