We were staying at the hotel next door and decided to try this place—it was a great surprise. Excellent food and service.
I don't understand some of the negative reviews: you can't expect quality at affordable prices these days. But maybe I'm the one who's wrong, never mind. In any case, the food quality is high, the service is friendly, and the wine list is impressive for a place in the lower Chisone Valley. We'll definitely be back!
We were staying in the apartments nearby, at Massimo's. We went to the bar here - great service, attention to customers, delicious drinks. It's a pity we can't rate the food, but the menu is well composed. Very warm attitude, homely. Good location and there is parking if someone wants to stop on the way. We have already stopped here for lunch on the way too.
Discovered this restaurant by chance, on the road to Sestriere. A pleasant discovery! Excellent homemade first courses (we had typical local agnolotti and gnocchi), meat-based main courses and exceptional dessert (chestnut parfait). Extensive wine list. Anti-COVID regulations were strictly adhered to. Prices were reasonable. Definitely worth a try!
This is a favorite restaurant. The portions are sometimes small and the prices a bit high for this area, but the cooking and service are exquisite! Highly recommended for a very special meal.
A family that I would make it mine. Great food selection so very yummy along with an exquisite service.
Top !!!🤗🤗🤗
Excellent traditional cuisine, well-measured dishes, exceptionally cooked meat, and a delicious dessert. The staff was welcoming and friendly, despite showing up alone on the Saturday evening before Easter without a reservation. I tried all the appetizers, including a very special first course (pictured, but I don't remember the name), which was truly delicious and traditional. I asked for the meat rare (I like it almost raw), and it arrived perfectly cooked, well-salted, piping hot, and very tasty. I also ordered a side of potatoes, and finally dessert, which was always delicious. Along with a half liter of wine. Everything was well-digested. I recommend this place, whether you're a couple or with friends.
pranzo Giovedì 7 agosto, ristorante molto bello e molto pulito, dehor fantastico, pranzo ottimo e prezzo onesto, personale simpaticissimo e accogliente, penso che ritorneremo sicuramente. Aldo val…
The restaurant is spread over two floors: the ground floor is a bit smaller, while the upper floor is larger and more characteristic. Weather permitting, you can also eat outside, although preferably in warmer weather. The menu offers a decent selection and several options, including typical local dishes. The food is good, well-cooked, and of decent quality. The staff is knowledgeable and offers detailed descriptions of the dishes served, especially the more traditional ones. Anti-COVID regulations are fully adhered to. The bill is reasonable, although the cover charge of €2.50 per person is perhaps a bit high. Service was perhaps a bit slow, but if you want to spend a completely relaxing day, that's fine. We'll definitely be back.
Great friendly bar good atmosphere and very helpfull staff
Bravi ci tor…
We probably went there on the wrong day, given the comments. Food: Average quality. Veal with tuna sauce with a very strange sauce. Tagliatelle with mushrooms... they also tasted like fried onions and perhaps roasted meat. Service: Very friendly but slow (despite not being crowded). We waited 15 minutes at the table for the menu and another 15 minutes to order. The dishes, however, arrived in reasonable time. Another long wait for payment.
Piedmontese cuisine. Everything was good, but nothing memorable or recommended. For the calhette (a traditional dish reminiscent of canederli), I'd suggest considering serving three on your plate instead of two. The service was friendly, but the wait was too long. I also didn't appreciate the lack of a menu at the table with prices listed (I later noticed there was a menu hanging next to the front door).
A modest trattoria located along the main road leading to Fenestrelle, in the Balma area (plastic tablecloths, paper napkins on large wooden tables, a pub-style atmosphere). We stopped for lunch, having read the excellent reviews online, which, in our opinion, are largely undeserved. Two-thirds of the dishes on the menu presented to us were marked with a pencil cross to indicate NOT AVAILABLE. The rest were the usual, as usual as can be. Anyway... the appetizers were edible (but the anchovies in red sauce were a mess, the carpione—or giardiniera, for that matter—was too acidic, the vitello tonnato sauce didn't taste of tuna, the sweet and sour peppers were practically raw), the borage agnolotti were thick and with a flavorless filling, the meats were passable, and for dessert they presented us with a block of panna cotta with the specific weight of lead (probably too much gelatine): no one managed to finish it. Add to this the unstable service (young and inexperienced waitresses, probably seasonal) under the orders of a sort of general (perhaps the owner) who directs customers to their tables, chats with her meek subordinates, and explains the dishes, all in a very loud and annoying voice, and it's enough to decide we won't be returning to this place. High prices, for being where you are and eating the way you eat.
