This was the best pizza I have had in years! We got a pepperoni pizza and a bbq chicken pizza. We also got the bread knots which were covered in fresh garlic which was wonderfully spicy!
The food was very flavorful. We were welcome once we opened the door!! We got sausage and bacon pizza and a pastrami sandwich. I felt it just needed a little more pastrami. We would definitely go back!
They gave such an amazing amount of toppings on their pizza and they are able to do stuffed crust as well!!! Absolutely fantastic pizza! Best on the mountain!
Just 3 stars this time due to the heat inside but hey, it's the mountains. No longer full service. Order at the window, get your own to go box. I wish they would hire another server during busy times.
This tiny Town has great food. One of Running Spring 2 best restaurants. Remember to go across the street to Old Country Coffee Shop too. Still great. Thanks to Tara & Noah! 👍🍕🥗🍗
We’ve been eating here for years and the food is consistently good, some of the best on the mountain. The pizza is great, which is high praise from this NYC transplant! Tasty salads too.
Since moving to the area I've been here a handful of times, and each time is better than the last! If you're passing through, swing by and experience the phenomenon of the Garlic Cheesy Knots. Your taste buds (and your arteries) will thank you!
We really liked this place. Pretty fast service. Pear and goat cheese salad was HUGE. They don’t skimp on any of the ingredients. Hawaiian burger was good as so was the BLT. Potato salad was eh. Not much flavor. But really liked this place and would come back to try pizza pockets and more sandwiches. Also, saw other tables order a veggie pizza and it was MASSIVE.
I have to say , the food and service is outstanding here. Super clean and fresh food. You can tell they care. Stayed at a little spot across street and came here for a couple beers. Wings are amazing and fresh. Garlic cheesy bread knots were to die for. Most of the staff were young and very professional. Didn't expect that. Well done. P.s. they have a secret arcade downstairs. Thanks Neos for a great time. Sincerely Chef Sunny F
The salsa verde pizza is great!!! But you can't go wrong with any other choice. My son had the cheese pizza and both him and the wife said it was the best ever. A small pizza will definitely feed 2 or a very hungry one (like myself).
We got the vegetarian pizza. We were asked if we wanted pineapple - what a surprising delicious addition! We all agreed the pizza was one of the best we'd ever had. The crust was so tasty, and we loved the toppings. Service was great and the price was right. Don't expect to have food on the table immediately; they do it right, meaning about 30 minutes after ordering. It's worth the wait. There was only one waitress and she did EVERYTHING except cooking the pizza. She was pleasant, accommodating, and very efficient. We'll return.
I grew up with this pizza place under a different name most of my life. Ever since Neo's was taken over it went from good to amazing. The owner is always welcoming and wonderful to talk to. The staff are as well even after rough days where it has been insanely busy with rude customers. Every pizza I've had is amazing, but the one that stands out from the rest is the Mexican chicken pizza. That being said, I have met strangers and I know people who will make the drive from other states just for their bread knots. Through the pandemic this place was always clean and even when over worked and stressed everybody was always pleasant and wonderful to be around. Thank you to the whole crew.
We stayed at a Cabin near by and we gave this place a shot... We didn't regret it one bit. In fact we LOVED IT. Chelsea was amazing and doing the job of what would normally take 4 people at other spots. Crazy good food and not bad pricing. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants some solid pizza and good side options.
DeLICIOuS hot fresh pizza!! 🍕 tasty crust, refreshing fountain drinks, perfect pepperoni and lots of cheese! Exceptional customer service, air conditioning and rustic decor. Clean, nice big parking and a great spot of lunch on the way to big bear or Pali camp! 🏕️ inexpensive with an arcade downstairs.
First time being there. It was pretty crowded. Short staff, but they pulled it together and had good service and the food was delicious. Pizza, fried zucchini, fried mushrooms and cheese bread sticks were amazing! I will definitely come back on my next trip in returning.
Always a great place to stop on your way to big bear. Great staff, friendly and inviting. The atmosphere is cool, chill vibes, games for kids. Lots of food choices available. Their pizza is made with quality ingredients, tastes like grandma made it fresh.
Fantastic local small town pizza joint. Friendly, happy and very helpful employees take your order. Pizza is a total home run. I love it. Have not tried anything else on the menu but next time I will. They have booths for seating and it's a wonderful atmosphere around meal times. Many many pies head out the door. It seems they have take out and delivery.
We loved this quaint little pizza house in the mountains. Atmosphere was reminiscent of how pizza places used to be. They have a downstairs area with arcade games and more seating. Perfect for larger groups or birthday parties 🎉 We played a game of air hockey while waiting for our food. The staff were all very nice and we they had our food out in about 20 minutes. We ordered a medium pizza, Caesar salad and soda for a little over $30. The food was really good. Pizza was delicious and cheesy with generous toppings. They put their own twist on the caesar salad by using fried onion rings instead of croutons. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the mountain area and I'll be coming back next time I'm in the area!
Great pizza. Cold beer. Local environment
Visited this pizza spot last weekend. We order a large pizza with double pepperoni and they did not disappoint. We also got some wings which were spicy and delicious. We order led an antipasta salad and a few pitcherd of beer. All in all, it was a great experience. We did wait a while to get our food, but they were pretty busy. We went with some friends, so we chatted while waiting. Definitely recommend and we will certainly be back for some more pizza in the future.
This restaurant has a great variety of food, a fun and family-friendly atmosphere, as well as excellent customer service. Can't believe it took us four months to try it out but this may be our new weekly hangout spot. The gameroom is clean and the games are very reasonably priced. What a fun time. Can't wait to come back!
Delicious food in a classic pizza joint setting. Went for lunch on a Sunday as we were making our way down the mountain. Not too crowded. Prices seem reasonable for this type of place. Great pizzas, though the small olive pizza had enough olives on it to cover 2 larges... Otherwise, great!
This place's atmosphere hasn't changed in 45 years that I know of, one caveat, the pizza itself is now better than I recall. Great lightweight crust. So yummy. Thanks Neo's. Always a pleasure. My son loves it too.
It's a pizza place in a moutain town. So not the 4 seasons but clean and staff is nice. The food is amazing. Pizza was so hot delicious fresh made. If you do ranch on pizza the ranch is the best I've ever had and I don't say that lightly. Fresh made in house. Busy on the weekends. But you'll get a spot. The best place to stop after a day on the moutian.
Love this pizza so much I ate all the crust. Delicious fresh pizza! Wow. Kids love it too and they hang out in the game room downstairs while we wait for our order. Additional parking in back lower lot.
Just an old-fashioned pizza parlor with a game room, pool table, T.V.s to watch the game. A great place to come out of the cold and have a draft beer and a slice. Oh! And the Pizza? The best around. The antipasto salad is excellent and the sandwiches made using Neo's own bread are also amazing.
Always my first stop when going up the mountain.
We went in at 9pm an hour before closing and were served quickly even while they were busy with phone orders and other walk in customers. I didn’t get a chance to ask her name but the girl with red hair was so friendly and upbeat. We ordered a gluten free pizza and a cheese burger. It was amazing! My boyfriend is a chef and said the gluten free pizza was the best he’s ever had. My hamburger was fresh and hand made and the fries were fresh potato fries like in and out but bigger and better. We stayed a few minutes til before closing and were not made to feel like we needed to get out or were we rushed at all. We will definitely be coming back the next time we are in town!
Very cozy pizza restaurant with lots of play options for kids and adults alike
Whenever I have to go to the fire stations up there (I work for fire) I try to stop by here. A colleague of mine told me about this place. I rarely give 5 stars, but this place is so fricken amazing! The pizza is so good, and they have many varieties if you're feeling adventurous. It will not disappoint! Definitely try this place out!
Neos, best pizza place in town! Try the Chile Verde pizza, phenomenal!
This pizza place is a amazing!! I'm glad I found it The customer service is exceptional—friendly and efficient staff who elevate the dining experience. Now, let's talk about the pizzas—crafted with the finest, natural, homemade ingredients, each bite is a flavorful journey. The dedication to quality ingredients sets this place apart, making it a go-to for those seeking authentic, mouthwatering pizzas. Whether you're a pizza connoisseur or just craving a delicious slice, this spot delivers perfection. Five stars unquestionably—for the outstanding customer service and the best natural, homemade pizza options that make every visit a truly savory experience!
This is an old school style pizza place with a great atmosphere and large menu. This was our first time visiting and we were very impressed! Chelsea has INCREDIBLE customer service. She handled take out, pick up, dine in, and phones without missing a beat. Her attitude was so positive and she was extremely knowledgeable. We took a half pep/jalapeno and half cheese home with zucchini fries, and it was just so cheesy and saucy. And the fries had such a crunchy breading. Definitely one of the best pizza places I have EVER had. We will definitely make this our go to anytime we visit the area!!
My son and I stopped by to try it and so glad we did. The food was amazing! We will be back! My son recommends the Mac n' cheese pizza! I loved their Antipasto salad with Italian dressing.
A very nice surprise, you get a lot of food for your money! Good pasta and the garlic cheese knots are mind blowing. Free parking on the front and rear. Dog friendly covered patio on the right.
One of our favorite spots when we go "up to the mountains"
This is our favorite place to eat locally. They do not skimp on the toppings or the serving sizes. They load it up for ya! Reasonably priced. My favorites are the chorizo pizza and the pear salad. You gotta try the garlic knots too! Cater to locals and tourists alike. Keep up the great work Neo's!
I had pizza several years ago in New York & they had this yellow type of salt that I couldn’t find at any pizza place in Cali until I came here & they had an Italian Seasoning or Oregano also.. these condiments made my pizza taste so good! That pizza was delicious and I got to eat it on their patio which was very awesome
We have all been recovering from being sick and really wanted stuff crust pizza. The minute we got home we downed what we could and realized even the 3 pieces we thought had stuffed crust did not. 🙃 When I called they remade it no problem, but sorry genuinely for the half return of a pizza. Neos is always great to us and appreciate the service!
Best pizza 🍕 on the Mountain ✋️ hands up for this place food is delicious , game room with pool table downstairs.
First time here I was invited to come and try this place by the owner. the pizza is delicious the crust was crispy we ordered the works and the toppings held up well. The mozzarella sticks had a very nice cheese pull and the wings were fire! And staff is very friendly! Will definitely be back
I would say best pizza 🍕 in the mountains- I’ve been going there for many years now- I love there service
We came to visit for the 1st time ever and it was delicious. And the staff was very friendly. I would definitely recommend.
Best pizza on mountain by a long shot and the owner is SO nice. Service is always great and the restaurant is always spotless. 11/10
Yum! Yum! Yum! I’ve only eaten here once, but the chicken Parm with manicotti was to die for. The sauce is delicious and fresh everything tastes homemade. Wish I would’ve found this place sooner, but our vacation ends tomorrow. Definitely recommend. Understated restaurant, very affordable and homey feel.
I stopped into Neo’s Pizza House in Running Springs and was blown away by the experience. I was on a business trip and visiting from Hawaii. I just had to order the Italian Roast Beef Sandwich—perfectly seasoned, hearty, and exactly what I needed after a mountain drive. What makes Neo’s stand out, beyond the food, is the atmosphere. As many other reviewers have mentioned, this place is family-owned and operated, and you can feel that warmth the moment you walk in. The staff is friendly, the service is prompt, and the vibe is welcoming—like you’re being invited into someone’s home. Neo’s is also a great value for anyone traveling to or from Big Bear or Lake Arrowhead. Whether you’re fueling up before hitting the slopes or winding down after a day in the mountains, it’s the perfect stop. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the atmosphere is cozy. I love supporting local, family-run businesses, and Neo’s Pizza House is exactly the kind of place worth celebrating. Highly recommend making it part of your mountain trip tradition!
The upstairs downstairs thing bugged me for some reason.. besides that: C\S: Outstanding Taste (chx& supreme): wings were a good size and tad crispy (perfect IMO) only buffalo or BBQ... Lightbulb! 💡 {NEO'S should offer garlic-parm [cost effective & easily implemented]} Pizza sauce was flavorful but not OP, the crust was crispy enough to hold up supreme... It might have been the greatest pizza ever.. day 2 pizza will decide that.
We weren't greeted when we walked in, it's a seat yourself situation. The service wasn't the best, but it wasn't bad. The young girl working alone was very timid but kind. We ordered the Mac n cheese pizza and boy howdy was that THE BEST Mac n cheese pizza we've had across several states! There were just 9 tables upstairs with more seating downstairs and I overheard there is a patio. She told me the total was 17 something but rang me up for 18 and some change. The pizza was the perfect size for 2 of us, and she offered us ranch (free) and parmesan cheese. They had seasonings on the table but this pizza was perfection. Worth the 30 minute drive! Most of the menu was overpriced but the pizza was worth every penny. There is an arcade downstairs, mostly fairly priced except $1.50 for the animal claw machines and the $1 machines for the exact same toys as the $0.50 mystery ball machine.
This place can get busy but worth the wait! The staff is super friendly and the pizza is delicious. They have some vegetarian options and pitchers of beer. They have other food items like burgers if pizza isn't something you enjoy. Would recommend for anyone looking for a sit down or pick up pizza!
When we just arrived, I was not happy with the service. It was crowded and the lady at the counter just yelled " grab a menu and find a table" later we realized she was short staffed and that was the reason she was overwhelmed. The food was amazingly delicious. When the young lady brought our food, she was smiling and polite and later she returned to ask if we needed anything else. She was the same lady when we had to pay the bill. She was friendly and polite. My grandkids enjoyed playing downstairs at the arcade. The games were a reasonable price. They had so much fun and they ate all their pizza. My Mom loved her grilled chicken caesar salad.
Great topping options and pre-designed choices of toppings. The BLT Pizza and the macaroni and cheese pizza are particularly yummy! The prices seem pretty good for the area. The seating area is not particularly comfortable in the upstairs and they have a downstairs area with more seating but I haven't eaten down there. I believe there are some arcade machines downstairs. Overall it's definitely worth having if you're in the area.
The food here is always good. The service leaves something to be desired. Last time they made the order wrong this time they lost our order and when we showed up told us they would expedite it but it took 1hr 40 minutes to make our pizzas all total and they cremated the wings. But still 4 stars because the works pizza is amazing.
Food was great ordered 2 pizzas 1 pepperoni and a Hawaiian also spaghetti and meatballs gotta say the sauce was very good kids loved it this place was packed but made for a good atmosphere with a mix of travelers and locals service was good friendly staff. Only downside was the restroom situation, definitely needs a huge improvement. Outside restroom with a line going for almost an hour only to be worse once you get in and have to decide to risk using the dirty restroom or walk out. people coming from not only the restaurant and also people bringing what looked like couple families worth of people cutting the line only made things worse.
We went during lunch just before it got busy. We thought we were supposed to order at the counter but while we were reviewing the menus I grabbed three server came up. She was helpful and took out order. It came fairly quickly. The pizza was a little over done but not terrible. Very laid back it seems so if you need a refill or something it seemed best to just head up to the counter. They have games downstairs with a cash to token machine. Air hockey was 4 tokens. We were able to take leftovers back to our cabin and eat them here and there for a couple days.
Pretty good pizza place in Running Springs. It’s cool they have a small arcade in the basement with some decent arcade games. The pizza itself is okay, nothing that bad but not great either. Staff are very friendly and good though.
Good local place for pizza and sides. They have an arcade and space for birthday parties etc downstairs. More parking to the left in back. All at reasonable prices. Personally, I like their onion rings (hand dipped ) more than their fries (straight cut 1cm, not shoe string but thicker, a little bland).
Ordered spaghetti dinner was surprised that it was a buy one get one, delicious and came with a beautiful fresh salad. Also ordered a pizza, which was good
They work very quickly. The food is good but not amazing. The chili fries were okay. The pizza was better. We got the all meat pizza.
Good mountain pizza house. Pizza is fairly priced and they have a pretty large menu for alternatives. Small video arcade and games downstairs. Good for events and parties.
Neo’s is pretty much located between Arrowhead and Big Bear at the hwy 18 and 330 junction. Decent size menu here. Prices are good for the mountains as there is not a lot of choice in this area. The pizza is good… but not sure I would take the trip from Lake Arrowhead as there are choices there that are just as good. Great place if you are passing through.
Peanut butter pizza... I've been told you either love it or hate it. I loved it. Blt with garlic knot crust was my favorite. And when their was a mix up because I didn't properly explain myself in my exhaustion they fixed it for me. It was a little warm inside with does open instead of having air or itd get 100% but even still, i love this place and can't say enough how much you need to try this. Seriously, head on over now!
The pizzas were great and the homemade cookies were delicious. Our family and I enjoyed visiting this place on our return trip from Big Bear Lake. The outdoor patio area was cool on a hot day, and our small dog enjoyed the restaurant too. There was plenty of parking space when we visited the restaurant this past summer. We will definitely visit this place again.
I'll start with the pros: Excellent food. Great varieties of pizza! The sausage rolls are amazing! And the salads such as the Caesar, and the Caprice salad are hands-down superb. Cons: If you go during a busy time such as dinner, don't expect service. The restaurant is sorely understaffed. Unfortunately this leads to excessively long wait times. Food coming out sporadically. My husband and I had finished with our meal before our son's meal came out. Unfortunately we never got our check for the dinner. So we estimated as much as we could and left cash at the front counter. I really want to love this place. But until they get more servers, it's hard to make the justification to come back.
This was one of my local favorites when I lived in Running Springs. Food is still great! Unfortunately the atmosphere was not ideal for our family. There are now TV's upstairs & football game which equals loud, party crowds. I understand they are just trying to make a living like the rest of us, just not the best atmosphere for our family. It used to be so quaint & family oriented. Service from Neo & other staff was great except the woman with red hair that waited on us. I kindly let her know I think there was a mistake with our pizza & before I could even finish my sentence she pulled the pizza away & walked away not saying a word. My toddler then started to cry as our food was just abruptly taken away without explanation. Even the table next to us commented how rude she was. She is normally very friendly, not sure why the attitude this time.
Small little restaurant with an arcade on the lower level. Ordered a chicken salad to take out and waited roughly 45 minutes for a take out salad. The salad was ok felt it was a little greasy with the chicken and bacon. Skip on the pesto if you do get it, it's vinegary not you're regular type of pesto.
Good pizza, cool pizza restaurant vibe. Service was not so great, but it was a good experience overall
Great pizza! Sadly the service wasnt to nice to us, when eating they left us alone and we would have to get up and go the front just for condiments, also our experience with the arcade wasnt to pleasant specially because the workers were not helpful to our problem with they're malfunctioning air hockey table! The place and bathrooms were "mostly clean" they can do better
Pizza took around 45 minutes even tho there wasn’t that many people, pizza was average definitely had better but the worst thing had to be there fries they were all super soggy and most of them were under cooked I even I had a couple of fries that weren’t even cooked at all it was pale white.
Whenever we come up to the mountains we order from here. Today I decided to add a small order of zucchini and a cheeseburger to our usual xl pepperoni pizza. I literally got 8 sticks of zucchini for $10 🤦🏻♀️ the cheeseburger was good but they didn’t add lettuce and tomato. The simple instruction was sauce and pickles on the side. The pizza isn’t delish but it’ll do. I wasn’t the one that picked up the food so I’m not sure of the atmosphere. I hear they’re always busy. Most likely will return to this place unless I find another pizza spot.
Took forever to get our food. Wasn’t very good when it showed up. Big disappointment.
Ordered large pizza and caprese salad for pick up. Told 20-25 mins. Showed up 30 mins later. Pizza was ready, but salad was still in progress. Waited 15 mins more. Finally went to cashier and waited five more mins for someone to acknowledge me. Interrupted someone and asked about salad. They had no clue. Told them to forget salad. Naturally the pizza wasn’t hot anymore. Seems like no one is in charge and no management, and no clue. Roll the dice if you want. I won’t. Other pizza places around the area.
Not sure what to say. Look at the other 1 star reviews and you will understand. Service - terrible I had to clean off my own table. Broccoli and other food and trash under my table. The staff was very unfriendly and rude actually. Food- terrible! Burnt pizza that took ages to receive. Burnt pizza!!! Cleanliness- D- the bathrooms were terrible, floors so messy, trash everywhere, food on the floors. Price- very high I paid over $70 for 1 pizza an appetizer and a few nonalcoholic drinks. I would have loved to have had a better experience. As a lot of these ratings make it seem like this place is wonderful. I’d have to say it seems to be going downhill.
I really feel they need better structure from the owners. I understand that the staff was highly busy and running around but it's so small and over crowded. The pizza was alright. I feel it's overpriced. The Cesar salad had two different dressings on it, and the fries were n in out style but cold inside! I couldn't find anywhere to sit for a good while and when I did I had to clean the table myself and remove all the used dishes and trash from it. 😐 It was extremely dirty downstairs when I tried taking my kids down there to play with the games. I really feel it was the worst $75 dollars ive spent.
Had problems with my pizza and the pricing 3 different times. I got over over charged for the price of my pizza every time. And my pizza wasn't what I ordered. I had stuff on my pizza I specificalky asked mot to put on it which included anchovies which ruined the whole pizza cuz it tasted and smelt like sardines, fish! When i called them they said i had credit for a full pizza next time i ordered a pizza. When i went in the next day to pick up a pizza they said i only get 15% off my pizza for their mess up which was only like $3 and sum change but had to pay almost full price for it. Thinking this time would be different, I ordered a XL pizza and I got a large size pizza nstead with just smaller slices so there would be more slices like the XL is suppose to have and the price was $26.99 but they charged me $30.50 for 1 XL and $2.14 for tax. I realized that was the same total price i got charged ordering same kind of pizza just a Large size pizza the other times. When a large was $23.99. But taxes were $8.50 for a large pizza which was the exact same kind of pizza. When I called them they argued with me saying that's the price when i have a actual photo and one of their menus and prices that say otherwise and refused to charge me the correct price thats displayed and printed on their menus. They hustle their customers and who ever is at the register charges whatever they want instead of the prices that they display. Won't be ordering from there again. If u order from there, I recommend you ask for a receipt and make sure u check your prices and the size of your pizzas.
Today was my husband's birthday and he wanted to go to Neo's for dinner. We sat there for an hour and no one even acknowledge us. No menus were offered, no water, drinks, no NOTHING!! I understand they're busy but ONE waitress that ignores the customers is not going to cut it! She must of walked by our table 10 times and acted like we weren't even there I don't understand why they would only have one waitress and one bus boy working on a Friday night after the first snow fell this week and they know that's the busiest week of the year. So we left after sitting for about close to an hour with no service at all. Still starving and my husband still waiting pizza & pasta..
Fifty bucks for one large pizza and garlic knots I'ma local guys avoid this place dude I know the owner and I've had it uve crossed the line with prices ur food isn't that good buddy I'm not getting bent over for subpar greasy pizza any more for astronomical prices I use to be w big fan of neos until got to greedy this is not a gormet pizza place cool to never eat there again for the crazy prices u charge U putting over head on ur customers as a owner and I'm never going back to eat
We had a fairly unpleasant experience here. We ordered the works and bbq chicken pizza around 5:10. We waited until 6pm, but our pizza didn't come and my girlfriend was very upset. Because she saw that the other groups who ordered later than us had already received and ate. She complained about this and I said that they were busy so we could try to understand. Even though she didn't understand anything and just responded as if ignoring our language, I tried to understand and I was just trying to make my girl friend understand. However, I was very upset when I saw the staff brought the pizza. At about 6:20, I got the pizza in 1 hour and 10 minutes, but I was very upset when I saw the behavior of the woman with glasses who took the order. She didn't even look at the table properly, tossed the pizza and left as if she was offended. Nevertheless, I tried to put up with the bad feeling, but seeing the pizza couldn't. When I ordered the works pizza, I ordered only jalapeno and pineapple without anchovies. However, this pizza had no jalapeños or pineapple, only anchovies. This kind of behavior of the staff was also very absurd, but the moment I saw the pizza that came out completely contrary to the order, I realized that I really don't want to come back to this place again. Of course, they wouldn't care we weren't going alone. It made me wonder if the staff had deliberately given us this pizza to annoy us because she was in a bad mood after receiving a complaint. We visited a lot during school and had good memories, and after returning to California, we visited with good memories after a long time, and I don't think we will visit again in the future. I feel sad to lost all the good memories.
This place has so much oil Bush wants to invade it. My pizza was see through. The fried mushrooms were ice cold and water gushed in my mouth. I paid 40 bucks to leave hungry and disappointed. I tipped the server because she was nice but it was so disappointing. Look at the pictures; the grease congealed.
