If this restaurant opened next to my house, I'd go every day. The green beans were insanely flavorful (and not too garlicky) and the pan-fried pork buns were so soupy and crispy! The cold noodles were good too, although I'd go for something else next time. Plus, all the portions are huge 🤩 The server, Chaly, is also super sweet :)

Listen up, dumpling lovers! If you're anywhere near the Arden area, you need to hit up Tasty Dumpling off Fair Oaks—trust me, you won’t regret it. This spot is a recent gem in the neighborhood, and we stumbled upon it during a date night. Let me tell you, we had the BEST time. First of all, the service was incredible. We were constantly asking about the mouthwatering dishes we saw coming out of the kitchen, and the friendly staff was so eager to explain each one. The lovely young woman at the front counter walked us through every option, describing each dish with such enthusiasm that we were practically drooling before even ordering. We went with the Egg Fried Rice, pan-fried pork potstickers, and sesame balls—and everything was absolutely divine. Fresh, flavorful, and made to order, it was clear that every dish was crafted with care. The potstickers had the perfect crispy outside and juicy filling, and the sesame balls? Total perfection. But the experience didn’t stop there. I asked if they had hot mustard, and the staff member didn’t just hand me some pre-made stuff—she went into the back and made it from scratch for me! And when I tell you it was some of the best hot mustard I’ve ever had, I’m not exaggerating. The level of care and attention to detail was next level. We’re already planning our next visit—and believe me, this is a place we’ll be coming back to a lot. Tasty Dumpling, you have a loyal customer in us!

We have been loyal fans at their Curtis Park location and came to the fair oaks and howe location to try it out. Spectacular! Food is identically fresh and delicious as the first location. The menu here is a little bit bigger and there is more seating. I have been to many dumpling places in the greater Sac area, bay area, many Din Tai Fungs and Tasty Dumpling is hands down the best!

The Dumplings were in fact, tasty ;) super casual order at the counter, made to order, good food. The restaurant was clean and cute. The staff member who helped us was quite busy when we arrived and forgot one of our drinks. When I went up later and let her know we never got it she gave me an extra drink for the trouble. Our favorites were the pan fried juicy dumpling (two textures, delicious filling, gorgeous), and the combination Dumplings with pork and veggie + pork and shrimp. We got the cold noodles salad as well which we liked (nice little bit of heat, Crunchy cucumbers, thick noodles). It was not our favorite but still not bad! We'll be coming back for sure.

Saturday, 5/17/2025 - Tried Tasty Dumpling. Address is 2080 Fair Oaks Blvd, Ste 160, Sacramento, CA 95825. Upon arrival.... Pros 1) parking was a little hard. But we did find parking. If you've a big truck, may be a little tight. 2) you order right when you get in and then pick a table to sit. They'll give you a number after you order. 3) the staffs were super nice, talkative, and cherry. They were friendly and made us feel welcome. We joked with them and they joked right back. Made is all smiles and laugh. 4) dumplings and bao were good. We liked them. There is a few sauces in the table you can use for it. 5) restaurant looked clean. Our plate, utensils and cups were clean. 6) water tasted great. No funky or metal taste. 7) Cons 1) none Conclusion We liked this little spot. It was cute. Staffs were professional and fun to talk to. Foods were good. I'd go here again. Is our to try something different next time.

I haven't been to this location yet, but I'ma prefire the 5 star already cause I know this place about to be bomb. Gonna head to this place today. I've been to the Crocker Dr Suite Location and without a doubt one of the best pan fried dumplings I've had. Way better than Journey to Dumpling imo. If you're reading this, please consider adding salt and pepper chicken wings. If you do, I'll eat here 5 times a week until I'm done with college. Edit: Yup this place bomb i beasted my meal

We had the most wonderful and tasteful experience out of just driving by and noticing this new dumpling spot. We arrive 10 minutes prior to closing time and the wonderful owner took our order and still let us dine inn. We ordered pork soup dumplings, chicken chow mein, shrimp fried rice, and wong ton soup and let me tell you the wonderful tasteful food we had was incredible. My 4 children and myself wore full of mmmm and omg how yummy is this. We wore amazed of how fresh the food tasted and we will be coming back. We have found our favorite Chinese dumplings place that even the kids want tasty dumpling to host their birthdays. To the owner thank you so much for your being so friendly and attentive

Took my mom here for her 1st time trying dumplings. She LOVED it! She got some steamed vegetable dumplings, I got some pork & veg pan-fried, and my friend got some of the soup dumplings, so we had a great variety. So... I'm not completely sure if we made a mistake or if they did, but I guess my buddy didn't get his soup dumplings. We informed Mark and Krystal and they went WAY above and beyond to fix it. We got the soup dumplings and ended up with an extra plate of dumplings as well. I offered to pay but they refused. I honestly felt like it might have been our mistake as my friend is disabled and may have made a mistake in his order. Genuinely, they tried to do so much to make it right. I cannot say thank you enough. But also, the speed at which we got our food was crazy! So quick. The service is fantastic here. Now, as for the food quality, the dumplings were incredible. The pork and veg was enough to make my mom and I want to eat here every day, but we also got the rice cakes which were awesome and the cucumber salad. Not gonna lie, my buddy and I had the same cucumber salad at Mikuni a few days before and Tasty Dumpling's cucumber salad was light years better (no offense Mikuni's). My recommendation is for the steamed pork & shrimp dumplings personally. Anyway, huge shout out to Mark and Krystal. They were so professional and polite. They are both awesome and I will be back because of how amazing they were... But also bc the food was awesome and my mom is now in love with the dumplings there!

Went for the first time and wish we had gone sooner! Everything was great, especially the spicy pork bao, vegetable dumplings and the fried rice. Our server was very nice and the other employees were always smiling. Restaurant was clean, and overall a great experience. We only spent more because we went a little overboard, well worth it!

You gotta try this place. I had the vegetable and pork dumplings and they were served in a bamboo steamer! Dumpling sauce right on the table. Amazing. Super clean restaurant. Great menu. Can't wait to try more items.

My coworker ordered takeout for the chicken and corn dumplings and the vegetable dumplings and OMG!!! They are absolutely delicious!! I will definitely be coming in to try the rest of the menu items. Their food is filled with flavor.

We were at coldstone next door and I’ve seen this spot as it was prepping for its grand opening and have been telling myself I would come try this spot once it opened. Tonight was that night. I was SO impressed. Firstly, I checked online and it said they were closed but we made the quick walk next door just to be sure… the open sign was on and there were 2 families sitting at tables eating, we walked in and were greeted. The cashier was SO sweet and such a genuine soul. I asked her a couple of questions about the menu (I am not a dumpling connoisseur by any means), she made some recommendations and was very patient with my son as we ordered to help figure out what he might like (this was his first time trying dumplings). She asked if we were dining in or taking out and stated they were closed and had just cleaned the kitchen, and I apologized and told her no worries that we could come back another day to try and I didn’t want them to have to make another meal but she insisted and I ordered to go. The food is DELICIOUS!! We orders the pork and shrimp dumpling and the egg drop soup and both were bomb and tasted very fresh. The inside of the restaurant was very clean and nice. I am very impressed with this spot and will most definitely return and recommend to friends and family. And a huge part of this was the cashier and how absolutely kind she was. Thank you for the great experience!!!!!

Everything tasted flavorful and well-prepared. The XLBs were impressively large, with juicy, non-fatty fillings that made them especially enjoyable. The steamed dumplings were also excellent — very juicy without being greasy. I requested less salt and less oil for the chow mein, and it still turned out delicious, with good flavor and texture. Overall, it was a satisfying meal in a comfortable setting. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving dumplings.

The atmosphere is more like a cafe vs. a restaurant & is casual & clean. The service is very good. My first time here & the staff explained & went above & beyond to explain menu items. I ordered the Pan fried juicy pork buns & the beef rolls. Both were delicious! I will def be back & make this part of my regular restaurant stops.

I went to try the papaya salad based on the recommendation I read and truly is was so under seasoned and bland so I asked for them to fix it to go but not overdress it. Apparently that didn’t set well with the kitchen as they dowsed it enough to wet my car seat and soak my throw on sweater.

Born and raised in SF it's very hard to find good Chinese food elsewhere. We did not enjoy the food here at all. My daughter refused to eat most of it. The soup dumplings were good enough for me, but they lacked any seasoning, which was odd. Just tasted like pork. Same with the noodles we ordered, very bland. We didn't bother taking leftovers. The green beans tasted good, but they used old, dry beans. None of it was something we would want to eat again. Even the Thai iced tea tasted awful, like it had a hint of plastic flavor. My daughter wouldn't touch it, and it's her favorite.
