Ordered Kevin Bacon and Spicy Chicken. Both were delicious! Good portion sizes for price and the fries were unbelievable. Strongly recommend if you need a burger and are in the area.
Stopped here for the first time in a few years and was happy to find this place is still awesome. Never had a bad lunch here. I mostly go for the burgers but there steaks were always good too. Great Cajun fries. It'll definitely be a regular lunch spot for me again now that I'm back working in the area!
Very cool place and the burgers were on point. Next time, I'm ordering more fries because my 10yo daughter crushed them. So good! The decor is fun and took me back to my old card collecting days! Will Def be coming back!
Excellent Excellent double cheeseburger and onion rings!!! This had to be, by far, the best cheeseburger and onion rings I ever had. Plus the dude at the register was awesome too! Oh I’ll most def be back to try everything else and I’m sure nothing will disappoint! I was living in Pittsburgh where the food sux and just moved here so this place will become my go to for sure!!!
Just moved to the area this was my first time there today . I had the cheese steak which I think can run with the best of them. The onion rings reminded me of the 90s when food was still real. If I knew the Mac and cheese would of had her drop her pants this fast I would of got the large instead of the regular.. absolutely recommend this place to anyone who wants to eat good food with fast service .. ill be back for sure. Would of added pictures but it barely survived the car ride home.. Thanks guys
I am eating the remaining 1/2 of my burger from Friday morning on a Sunday. This was the most delicious burger and amazing in its simplicity. I saw the pic on Google and knew this was the spot. I am not even a cheeseburger fan. Grilled, toasted, fresh pickles , lettuce and tomato and i think a top quality brioche bun. It wasn’t fancy, it was perfect. Great Job!
Wanted to try a non-chain type place that was kid friendly while shopping in the area. Found this place on Google and decided to give it a try. Staff were very quiet, but friendly. It's very eclectic decor with old movie posters and vintage sports memorabilia so there was always something to look at and talk about. My kids are 14 and 9 so they asked a lot of questions about the old movies and Rocky, so that was fun ☺️ The food was very good, the burgers were fresh, as was the fried chicken sandwich my son got. The fries were good, maybe a tad over cooked, but still good. The kids had milkshakes which they both said were also very good, and I just had a bottle of soda (though they could increase their selection a bit on those). It's an older place, and a bit run down, but I felt that just added to its retro charm. We'd definitely go back if in the area again.
Great food. Large portions. Cool environment. The 80's movies themed burgers and steaks bring me back in time to my childhood. The owners are salt-of-the-earth people. It's a long drive for me and worth every mile! Family friendly and very fair prices.
I was working around the area and was undecided on what to have for lunch . I came across old school burger and decided to give them a try . I initially came in for a burger but here I am having a delicious chicken cheesesteak with chipotle barbecue onions and bacon which comes with some homemade onion rings and a mango refresher. The food was amazing the twist to this chicken cheesesteak blends together just perfect . The onion rings have the perfect texture and crisp . The mango refresher is well balanced . Thanks to the staff and Sean for being very attentive to me as a first time customer . I’ll be back soon . Btw !!! I couldn’t finish it lol for $15 you can’t beat this .
It was my first time here, and I was unsure what to get. I asked the man, taking my order what he recommended, letting him know I was trying to decide between the cheesesteak and the cheeseburger. He recommended the cheesesteak. I'm glad he did it was delicious!!! I wouldn't change a thing about it because it was absolutely perfect. I also ordered the cheese fries. My preference for cheese fries is cheddar cheese, and when I got my fries, my first thought was I'm not sure about these cause it's not what I'm used to." I tried them and absolutely loved them!!! Extremely delicious. I forget what cheese they said it was, but there is definitely truth in the saying, "Don't knock it till you try it." I also had an order of the onion rings. They were very good. I wonder if they make them fresh there. I would definitely guess that they did by the way they tasted. I'll definitely be back. Friendly helpful workers. The manager asks the customer's eating in how everything and I love that it shows they care about your experience there.
I went Sunday for dinner and went threw the drive threw, the staff was nice and polite i ordered THE LOST BOYS a crispy chicken sandwich, dipped in garlic butter, garlic parm, and pickles it was AMAZING!!!! The chicken was super crispy and moist in the middle absolutely delicious, I also had a strawberry milkshake perfect consistency and also super yummy!!! 10/10 for me and I definitely will be back to try something else
While the name "Old School Burgers" evokes a certain image, it was interesting to see if they live up to it. Here's what I found: Their menu offers some classic options like cheeseburgers and milkshakes. But they also offer a variety of creative options. This suggested that these folks have a twist on the "old school" concept. BTW their burgers are delicious. They also highlight cheesesteaks, I'll have to try one on my next visit.
My Mom and I had an amazing experience here today for lunch. We were impressed by the large menu but the charismatic man behind the counter helped us decide. We ordered the motley blue fries, a Tommy hotdog, and I ordered the firehouse burger. I also tried the special St. Patrick's Day shake which was vanilla and mint with lucky charms cereal. All the food was phenomenal. The fries and the shake were my favorite, but the burger was honestly one of the best burgers I've ever had. They offer their burgers in single, doubles, or triples and I got a double. I did not regret it! Everything was just so delicious. Combined with the amazing customer service, and the unique atmosphere inspired by movies made the whole experience well rounded and enjoyable. We cannot wait to go back and try more off their menu! There is also another location in New Britain we will check out, but the great service at this location is a great plus.
Good burger, good coney dog, and good fries. Great service, and cool decor and atmosphere.
Nice little fun place to grab a quick bite. They also have drive up window. Sit in or take out. Cheaper then MD or BK with much better quality. Daily specials.
The food is great, service is great, and the atmospheres cute but limited and seating. The smell of fried products is a bit overwhelming, making you smell like the grease as soon as you walk in and for days afterward! But it's great and popular for takeout and nice variety of sandwiches and milkshakes. Good prices too and on Sundays shakes are a special deal!
Got the meatball sub & onion rings. The meatballs tasted pre-fab but "ok" but their weren't enough to actually fill the roll. You could easily have put 2-3 more in it. The roll was terrible; soft but dry textured and flavorless. Would have been better if it was just an Amoroso roll. Not enough cheese either. I ate it but I wouldn't order it again, especially for the price since it was so skimpy. The onion rings were awesome though and plenty of them.
SOLID! Must try and you'll probably come back for more. 4 stars bc everything I've had here is good-to-very good-to-great... but not the best rendition I've ever had. Kevin Bacon burger, GET IT. Tots, GET EM w the garlic parm sauce! They're perfectly well done and crispy, no need to ask for em well done. Actually, these ARE the best rendition of tots EVER. Tonight I had the garlic parm tots and the Buffalo chicken cheesecake which was a 4.5 outta 5. LOADED with meat, i mean downright heafty! Gr8 Buffalo flavor. 1/2 star off due to preference: i didn't prefer (though it was flavorful) the 'Cajun blue cheese'. I'm probably just a purist and prefer regular blue cheese, but I like trying a place's version of something 'straight up' the first time. Oh by the way, GR8 people always!
Cool spot for burgers. They have a nice mural for their delivery. As soon as you walk in the air is filled with the scents of burgers and fries. Food was good. Fries were great and the milkshake was good too. Unfortunately it took us nearly 45 minutes to get our food. The staff realized they were understaffed and their mistakes. They promptly apologized so I really appreciate their transparency. I’d try them again if I’m in the area.
Look, the food is good. But these guys don't know how a clock works. Ordered ahead, told me 15 mins. Get there 15 minutes later, and have been sitting here another 15 minutes, with no sign of my food. I mean I'm willing to wait, just give me a realistic time fellas.
I used to love this place! So many years, driving 34 minutes away from home, to what used to be a favorite spot to our family of 4. Never caring about the price changes. Tonight we got so disappointed! All the way from the Tommy dog that eneded up without bacon (one of it's main ingredients). Maybe, it's because I decided to ask for coney sauce, sourkraut, and onions to be aded to it. They never added them anyways. I receved a hotdog with cheese and kraut. To the two orders of Beastie Boy Fries and 1 order of Jawn Fries, that looked like it was an extremely busy day in the kitchen and not enough staff (we didnt see that being the occasion with 4 or 5 staff members there tonight). Or someone just didnt feel like preparing a $90 tab to go 1 hour before closing. The fries were overloaded with so much cheese, they were overwhelming. Everything looked like they just threw everything together and felt like they just wanted us to get out of there. (Its how it felt, not literal). Hoping the future may improve and changes our minds. & Luckily there's still burgers!
Subject of shrinkflation I guess? Ordered delivery tonight, and a 6 piece kids nugget meal, with nothing else, was almost 9 bucks. Thought they were slick including some weird small 50 cent squishy in the bag when my kid just wanted some fries. Also the cheese fries we ordered were half full. Burgers aren’t that great (and was over cooked) to be accepting the skimping on feeding my kid. Will not be ordering from here again anytime soon.
