More, more, no more! An amazing food experience! What tastes, all dishes (espec. sauce)! I loved the simplicity of it, no flavor killing the other. Good coffee and wine on top of that. Nice, lovely service- attentive and playful. All I missed was a wet napkin for my fingers. Just one small question - why the paper packaging?

Service is great and the food is amazing. We got three courses and a bottle of wine from a set menu for 38 euros each. The atmosphere was a little drab as it was very quiet but if it was a bit more lively I imagine it would’ve been nice. Sea bream was a little too garlicky but the ox tail risotto is absolutely TO DIE FOR. Would go back 10/10.

Amazing place if you want that special meal, great chief really knows how to cook your steak or any other of the dishes on the menu. There is a set menu to choose from for a very reasonable price or also the full menu card. Also to add the wine list is one of the best in town in my opinion and the waiters really know there stuff when it comes to choosing the right bottle for your menu choices.

Restaurante de estilo clásico que ofrece menús completos de cocina meditetránea con buena calidad-precio. Probamos la paella pero seguramente no fue la mejor elección porque quedó algo caldosa. Lo compensa que pudimos repetir, porque en algunos sitios para 2 personas la sirven escasa. El ambiente y el servicio es bueno y las calidades de los productos parecen adecuadas.

Una cena acertada. El menú elegido "castillo de Javier" una buena recomendación. Si no doy más puntuación al servicio es porque hemos tenido que esperar entre plato y plato más de 15 minutos y para tomar nota de los postres y cobrar también ha sido espera más larga de lo habitual. Pero sin duda volveremos porque la materia prima, la elaboración de los platos y el entorno merece la pena.

Restaurante con un local muy agradable, bien decorado y climatizado. Servicio profesional y muy atento. La comida está bien elaborada y presentada. Es un local en el que estar a gusto pero bajo mi humilde opinión el menú (que es lo que probamos), tiene un precio algo elevado. No estaría de más que en el menú se pudiera escoger entre un vino de la tierra y otro navarro haciendo honor a su nombre.

Buen producto, excelente calidad y buen trato, aunque servicio algo lento para un volumen de clientela normal. Carta con productos elaborados, bien cocinados y bien presentados. Bodega de calidad, con buenas referencias y precio en consonancia, pero no disparado. Un descubrimiento en Salou; para repetir sin dudar.

Food was excellent. Service was good but do far to be professional. They didn't want to change my fork after amishbush. This surprised me in place which pretend to be a fine dining restaurant. Plating is very simple, but have to admit very good taste of meal. Beside classical Catalan desserts there one which was absolutely anexpectable - crepe with forest strawberries. Suggest you to try. Suma sumárum - good place for dinner if you don't care about amount to spend appropriate to dish presentation and service.

6 micro trozos de champiñon para acompañar un entrecot. Mejor no los pongas y quedas mejor.

Ya no es El Castillo de Javier😢 Estuvimos muchos años seguidos (unos 13) yendo a comer toda la familia el día de Navidad. Dejamos de ir cuando hubo cambios en la cúpula. Pasaron unos años y este último diciembre decidimos volver. El servicio más bien lento y mucho espacio entre primer y segundo plato. El vino que entra con el menú se queda cortito para el precio que pagas y no hay opción de pedir el vino que tú quieras aunque sea pagando, mal. La comida estaba buena aunque todos los segundos platos llegaron fríos. Esos canalones de marisco no tienen nada que ver con los de antaño. Le dimos una oportunidad por añoranza y porque se comía excelente pero ya no es el caso. No repetiremos.

Decepcionante, nada que ver con lo que fue. Antes era un restaurante caro y de calidad, ahora es caro, pero sin calidad, con un servicio escaso y lento.

La comida magnífica de sabor, buenisima y la presentación casi todo también. El menú de 28 euros domingo por la noche. Algunos platos muy muy escasos de cantidad como por ejemplo la entraña, que venían 4 tiritas, el codillo servido completamente solo y sin acompañante, la tarta de queso era comprada.Y luego el café a 2,50. Me extrañó un poco que el local estuviera complétamente vacío. (Editado) En vista de la objetiva y argumentada respuesta del dueño me remito a: Si la tarta de queso era casera, entonces no sabéis hacer tarta de queso o llevaría hecha mucho, no nos acabamos ni una sola entera de las 6 o 7 que se pidieron. Nada que alegar al resto de barbaridades? Café solo a 2.50 y café con leche a 2.60 (10 céntimos el chorro de leche (ni las ratas) ??? 50 gramos de entraña si es que llegaba?

Festivo 12 de octubre, fuimos de cumpleaños(9personas) a este restaurante,haia años que no ibamos y he recordado el motivo…la chica q nos atendió,poco agradable desde un principio, tardaron 40’ en preguntar aue queriamos de comer, aunque podria aceptado el tiempo si almenso nos ofrecian la bebida…algun camarero mas amable…pero la q supongo q es la encargada y toma nota…le doy un 1/10. Comida aceptable, pero no de tan buena calidad…no se si volveremos y sino dejaremos pasar otros 10 años en volver a ver q tal.

Poor service, waitress left us waiting a while then come back and asked what we would drink so we asked for a menu she left and other waiter come with the same question...all night the same. No communication between the staff. Broken wine glass to finish the bad service. Manager come to us to apologise but no discount or drinks were offered as goodwill gesture. Very disappointed this time. Has been better in other occasions. Food was ok, but nothing wowing as it is a expensive place. Toilets are small and old.

La ensalada de bogavante, que decir, el bogavante seco y pasado INCOMIBLE deje la mitad, lechuga iceberg, tomate duro y con poco sabor y a tope de salsa de trufa para camuflar la mala calidad de los productos… me esperaba más de un restaurante de esta categoría… también pedí jamón ibérico de primero, supuestamente de bellota blablabla, cortado a cuchillo que parecía que lo habían cortado con un cuchillo de pan… me pusieron hasta las partes marrones, de sabor buenísimo pero la presentación un desastre… lo acompañan 6 rodajas de pan que se ve que lo han metido en una tostadora y además tenía mantequilla, rollo como si seria una tostada de desayuno, que poca profesionalidad… el atún rojo (supuestamente el mejor que tienen) muy floja calidad y aguado… congelado de a saber cuando!! El cava yo pensé que las ser catalunya sería bueno, pero he tomado mejores en cualquier restaurante de Bilbao El postre está rico, la tarta de queso bastante decente aunque se ve que no es casero No volveré obviamente Entre a las 13,45 y salgo 15,45, una eternidad para una persona sola… que comí 3 PLATOS!! Entre plato y plato por lo menos 20 mins de reloj TERRIBLE Como veis en pleno verano está vacío el restaurante, por algo será

Fuimos en grupo de trabajo, comida sin guarnicion (solo la carne o el pescado) y fría, bebida muy mala calidad, desde que llegamos tardaron más de 1 hora para primer plato, para 2° plato tardaron 1 hora y media más , poco personal, ni un camarero/a para estar atentos a nuestras peticiones . Tiene mucha fama el restaurante Deja mucho que desear. UN DESASTRE. No volveré ni recomiendo.

Exceptionally poor. Price / quality (38 euro menu)non existent. Good attentive service didn't make up for the food. Not one part of the meal was acceptable. Such a shame as this used to be a really good, perhaps even a reference, restaurant twenty years ago.
