Perfect cafe’ around the corner vibes (but worth a drive too)! Breakfast or brunch is a must here. And be sure you have enough time to enjoy the ambiance, although you can always pop in for a to-go latte. Indoor and outdoor seating available.
Ivy Cafe was the perfect place to do Galentine’s with my girlfriends! They are known for tartines, which is basically an open sandwich pictured here but they have regular dishes too from breakfast platters to pasta. Everyone loved their dishes. My pistachio mocha latte was also superb! Service was great. Will definitely be back!
Very cute cafe with friendly and efficient staff. Lots of options for their "tartines" which are a slab of chewy bread with a sturdy crust and wonderful toppings.
Such a great atmosphere and helpful customer service. Each waitress was very caring and did everything with a smile on their face. Drinks were delicious and the food was devine. I came with one person but I’ll definitely be taking a whole group of people next time because they need to experience Ivy! 10/10
The food here is great! I am not vegan but ordered a spectacular vegan dish (accidentally). It was a delicious grain bowl with a meat substitute and I didn't realize that's what it was. Our table shared a butter board that was a bit overpriced but still tasty. We had to request extra bread. Our drinks were not hot enough (matcha and a latte), like they may have sat too long before serving, but the server was nice and they were very busy. The hostess was great. We will go back for sure!
I recently visited Ivy Café, and it was an absolute delight. The staff welcomed me with big smiles and such warm hospitality. The atmosphere is so cozy, and every detail is inviting. I have to mention, Julie, the owner, is simply amazing—she’s poured so much love into this place. And the food? Every bite bursts with flavor—I truly enjoyed every moment. I can’t wait to return!
First time at Ivy Café in Clayton and WOW—what a hidden gem! 😍 This cozy, cute spot blew us away with their massive menu lineup: morning, afternoon, evening options, plus separate coffee, libations, and wine-by-the-glass lists. We had NO idea they serve dinner too! 🍷 I sipped on a gorgeous Pink Dragonfruit Matcha while Scott went for the Lavender Honey Latte—both so dreamy ☕🌸 For food, I devoured the Buckingham Tartine (avocado, feta, pomegranate… perfection), and Scott loved his three-cheese grilled cheese with tomato soup 🥪🧀 The real shocker? They have FIFTEEN different tartine options on the menu!! Count ‘em—15! I’m already plotting my return to try them all. 🙌 Staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. If you’re in the Clayton area, add Ivy Café to your list ASAP—you won’t be disappointed!
I've been to Ivy Cafe on three separate occasions - twice for brunch, once for dinner; all have been superb experiences. Staff is accommodating, food is delicious, and the ambiance is cozy chic. If you like plants, you'll love their living walls. The homemade pottery for all of their plates is a nice touch. Thoughtful all the way around.
Love this place! Every dish I order is delicious. The open face sandwiches are my favorite. The staff is amazing and always so kind. The atmosphere makes me feel like I’m in a little cafe in Europe. Must go!
I will start by saying all the staff is extremely kind and professional. I came in on a packed morning and they still were all so kind to me. I did not dine in as I just wanted a matcha to go. I ordered a green matcha with oatmilk and lavender honey syrup , and a brioche cream cheese bun . I believe my total was 14.45$ for the two things. I will start by saying, WOW- that little cream cheese bun was DELICIOUS, and I ate it so fast I couldn’t take a picture! The matcha latte was also delicious, but I must admit it was very strong- which is not a bad thing! I’m sure if I was still in the shop when I drank it I could’ve asked for a little extra milk, but I had already gotten home, so I topped it off myself. I cannot speak for their various lunch or evening menu items, but I will say the experience with what I got was delicious, and everything I saw on everyone’s plates was beautifully presented.
Ivy Cafe has become a regular weekly stop! Their lattes are amazing, with awesome seasonal specials (and the coffee cubes a must), plus I never leave without a muffin or almond cookie when ordering from the bar/counter. The atmosphere when you walk in immediately invites you to stay and is super cozy, great for when you want a place to work outside of the office or are catching up with a friend. The team is always super friendly and the food is always delicious!
I came here with a friend who works in the horticulture field because I knew she would love all the plants (even in the restrooms), but the food blew our minds. I had no idea what a tartine was, but then I couldn't choose if I wanted a savory or sweet one for breakfast. We came in right at 8 on a Saturday when the streets of Clayton were still quiet. We were seated right away and stayed a little over an hour. I'd like to come back and try their afternoon and evening menu, but the breakfast menu also had a lot to offer.
I think this cafe is probably one of the very best places that one could visit. The food is amazing!! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The vibe of the place is amazing. Hannah was an awesome waitress!, I thought she owned the cafe with the excellent service she provided. Thanks again for everyone’s pleasant hospitality. Definitely will be coming back soon.
One of the most beautiful and cozy brunch and dinner spots. Went twice, once for Clayton Restaurant week and again for brunch with the girls! The food blew me away both times, the presentation was so prettyyy. They were able to accommodate our larger group and we are so grateful for the magical morning and yummy brunch ♥️✨
We were driving home from out of state and found this upscale cafe. I’m so glad we came here! The food selections are amazing, healthier options and unique! There is an abundance of coffees and wines. The hostess who seated us went well and above expectations for friendliness and was very informative about their menu options and made great recommendations. Her customer service was outstanding and wonderful to have since customer service is rare these days. All the waiters tag team their table service and they were all very helpful, friendly and spot on. The food was excellent. We had the tartines and tomato soup and lattes. We will definitely be coming back!!
The freshness of the unique assemblage of ingredients is the best thing about ivy cafe! I still think about how well the beats, white bean hummus, and goat cheese complimented each other on the Kingsbury tartine. I think the menu could be condensed a bit as it was overwhelming making a choice with so many yummy sounding choices available. Maybe there could be a tartine sampler dish??
Ivy Café in Clayton is pure brunch bliss! We started our day here and it instantly set the tone for a relaxing, delicious Sunday. Their tartines are top-tier—I don’t think you can go wrong with a single one. I paired mine with an oat milk latte + sugar-free cinnamon syrup (perfectly cozy) and a lavender lemon drop cocktail that not only tasted dreamy, but smelled like heaven thanks to the fresh lavender garnish. The atmosphere is bright, airy, and welcoming—perfect for catching up with friends or treating yourself to a solo brunch moment. Whether you’re craving coffee, cocktails, or something in between, Ivy Café delivers. Literally cannot say enough good things about this cafe!! The drinks are delicious, the food is wonderful, they have so many wonderful made-in-house items from their bread to their fresh baked pastries to their syrups for the coffee/drinks it is just the absolute best curation of goodies! We LOVE their sliders which come on their house-made sourdough and have enjoyed working through their cocktail menu. Even the plates the food is served on are made by the owner herself 🥹 I definitely recommend a stop by this cafe any time of day for the perfect treat ✨️💕
A cozy and charming café with incredibly kind and courteous staff. The menu is diverse and delicious, and the coffee is great too. We first visited in 2023 and recently returned — they’ve maintained the same lovely atmosphere, warm hospitality, and tasty food. We enjoyed breakfast, a muffin, and coffee. The café has such a lovely vibe, and everyone there greets you with the warmest smiles and so much kindness. Lilly, Jane, and Christian were amazing — super quick, sweet, and so friendly! I think Ivy Charming Smile would be the perfect name for this place — it totally fits their energy!
This is a girls place. Hey guys, if you wanna impress your girlfriend or your wife, bring them here. Small intimate place in Clayton. Great coffee and great food. Server was very friendly and atmosphere very comfortable. You’ll probably have to find a Paid street parking spot which could be a challenge.
I came here to try the coffee and the tartine before a show so I was glad that they still served coffee past 2PM. I ordered the Evergreen which is with avocado and watermelon radish, it was okay, a little on the pricier side for avocado toast. I enjoyed the coffee though! Service was good, staff was nice and friendly and the dish and drinks came out fairly quickly. I would probably come back and try other dishes next time.
Ordered nonalcoholic lavender spritzer. It was smooth and refreshing. For lunch I ordered their sourdough sliders. I love sourdough bread but this was too much bread for the sliders. The sliders were slightly overcooked. The avocado mayo didn’t really elevate the sliders. Maybe a spicy ketchup would be better. Great service from a newer waiter (he was being shadowed by another server). I love the servers use handheld devices to submit orders to the kitchen and to pay. I paid right at my table and my credit card never left my hand. Street parking only. Bring quarters to feed a meter if it’s before 5pm.
Had an interesting lunch experience at Ivy Cafe with a colleague recently. I walked in and quickly realized I was the only guy there It felt like I had stumbled into a secret brunch club! The decor was charming and cozy, perfect for a relaxed lunch. We ordered "The Buckingham" avocado toast and "The Princeton" hummus toast. Both dishes were delicious and beautifully presented. The service, however, was a bit slow. Overall, it was a delightful visit. I'm definitely planning to return, this time with my wife for a date night.
I've been to Ivy Cafe many times and have always loved going. However, last night, I was there with my girlfriends, and we were treated so badly. We had reservations at 6:30 p.m., and by 8:30 p.m., they wanted to give us the check without us having to ask. They don't close until 10 p.m. There was no line, so I didn't understand why they were rushing us out. Ivy Cafe wasn't even packed, and yet, the waitress said, "I heard you asked for the check?" We hadn't. So I said, "Can we see the dessert menu?" Yes, they didn't even ask us if we wanted dessert. It was very uncomfortable for us because we couldn't figure out why they wanted us to leave. I didn't know there was a two-hour limit. Was it because we spoke in Spanish? We hate assuming the worst, but it didn't make any sense.
My wife and daughter went for breakfast. The food was good, but just good, not great. They had eggs, toast, and potatoes. They said it was fine, but probably wouldn’t visit again for breakfast considering the prices and other options available nearby. However, if you LOVE sourdough, this might be a great match for you, the menu has several options with sourdough forward items.
