Stopped in for a quick bite. My wife and I had a couple of empanadas followed by half sandwiches. Everything was awesome. Thank you Joe L. for great service.
Just visited for the second time and the food was equally delicious (ordered a couple new things) and the staff were so friendly and polite. The Choripan is something I’d happily reorder, and they let me swap to a side arugula salad instead of the fries it normally comes with. We came during happy hour but even outside of that, the prices are reasonable for the quality and portions. Looking forward to going back.
We rec dined at Buenos Aires Café on a Friday evening after a business meeting ran into the early evening. We had a rather large group, with a prior reservation, and we added a couple of tables to that. The restaurant easily accommodated the additional numbers. Service was great, very attentive, but not hovering. From initial glasses of ice water to final payment of the bill, everything was smooth and efficient! The restaurant has an extensive menu covering a wide variety of foods, from appetizers, soups, salads, beef, chicken, seafood, all presented with a South American flair. With such a variety available, we had a bit of a time trying to narrow it down. we settled on a split baby spinach salad as an appetizer, it was terrific. Super fresh spinach, and ample portions of all the veggies, nuts, and cheese, and a delightfully light dressing. Our shared entrées included the Canelones Caseros, two spinach-filled crêpes, wrapped and topped with a delicious vegetable sauce, marinara, and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. The dish was outstanding! Our other shared entree was the Gnocchi Quartet, which consisted of four different kinds of deliciously prepared gnocchi, blended in a medley of fresh vegetables, and a light cream sauce… also a winner! The restaurant has a nice list of premium cocktails, and other libations, as well as a decent wine list. The wine list has a nice variety from around the world, but is rather limited, and that is just an observation not a complaint! We selected a very nice Pinot Grigio from the Torresello winery in Italy. It was served at the perfect temperature, iced in a bucket, and went exceedingly well with the meal we had selected. All in all an excellent meal, start to finish, especially in light of the rather large group we had. Highly recommend Buenos Aires Café for a delightful and delicious dining experience…
Excellent Argentine restaurant. We started with the empanadas, the dough was flaky and buttery. The provoleta was perfect. I was about to order the Milanesa sandwich and the waiter told me to get the Lomito Sandwich instead. I'm happy I listened it was so delicious and soft. The only thing I would have changed was ordering the half size instead of the full sandwich. The flan was a good traditional Argentine Flan!
We came here for lunch and to celebrate my husband's birthday. We were taken good care of and our server was excellent. The food was delicious, from the empanadas to the sandwiches and to the entrees. I know I had a happy birthday boy who enjoyed his meal and dessert. Update: I came back here on 5/10/2024. Lots of good food and yummy desserts. Service was excellent.
We’ve been going to Buenos Aires at the galleria for years and they have always had great Argentinian food. Their empanadas are the best. It is a must. My favorite is the spicy beef empanada. We also tried their provoletta, melted cheese appetizer for the first time tonight and loved it. They have happy hour till 6. There are some good deals if you get there early enough. Cocktails half price and discounted menu items. French 75, mojito, margarita, etc. I usually have their Milanese which is fabulous. My husband tried their burger which is new to their menu. He loved it. They also excel at desserts. You literally cannot go wrong. I had the spiced chocolate brûlée this time. It was fabulous. Their staff have always been super nice and helpful. They have a cute patio to enjoy the beautiful fall weather. Highly recommend.
Located in the beautiful Bee Cave area, LOVED the Milanese (beef cutlets). They were cooked perfectly and the chimichurri is absolutely delicious. I came in on a slow lunch day and our waitress was new to the job but was very knowledgeable (we asked quite a few questions) and ingratiating. Pair any meat dish with a glass of wine and you are looking at an amazing meal.
Atmosphere and staff is great. We walked in for a late dinner and we were welcomed and relaxed throughout our meal. We had the cheese plate - right portion for 2. I think better crackers would of complimented the great cheeses on the board. Gnocchi melted in your mouth delicious and it was so light, the sauce was fresh and tasty. Some bread to soak it up would of been a nice option to have. Perfect empanadas! The dulce de leite cheesecake was good. I will definitely return for the filet and fries with chimichurri sauce!
What a great find! We started with both souve & tuna Empanadas; beautifully browned pie dough wonderfully complimented by flavorful filling accompanied by Chimichurri sauce. They were light, not too filling. (Someone needs to start delivering these!) Rob had the Argentinean Shepherd's Pie (pictured), which was a lot tastier than the English version. The Pork Tenderloin (pictured) i ordered was topped with Chimichurri & drizzled with sour cream. Served atop Yukon mashed potatoes with a haricots verts side, I savored every bite! For dessert, Dark Chocolate Crusted Cheesecake (pictured). Amazing! Size was perfect to share. With their coffee (very European), what an ending to a fantastic meal. Don't pass up Buenos Aries Cafe is you pls through Bee Cave, TX!
Great place to experience Argentinian food. Definitely get the empanadas since the chimchurri sauce that it comes with is stellar. I tried the Milanesa Napolitana with fries and broccoli which was good. My friend got the Pork tenderloin medallions with chimchurri sauce which was what I'd get.
Love the decor especially the cowhide framed mirrors..truly Argentinian! The service was prompt. Unfortunately the food was just ok for me. Growing up in Uruguay and visited Argentina many times, I had high expectations for this restaurant. Positive: 1. Authentic chimichurri 2. Tasty Choripan with true Argentinian sausage 3. Excellent French fries Negative: 1. Ñoqui was a disappointment. Too soft. Not squidgy as one would expect for Ñoqui 2. Milanesa doesn’t have the right breading and was too thin 3. Empanadas were average for me. They lack boiled eggs, raisins and proper amount of tomatoes. I had better ones It is a good neighborhood restaurant.
A good restaurant choice for an Argentinean dinner. The Argentinean cuisine is truly remarkable, offering a delectable variety of meats and delightful desserts, particularly those made with dulce de leche. This restaurant is quite good, and the service is satisfactory. However, it didn't quite give us that special feeling. Our order included the Pollo and Carne Suave empanadas, which were flavorful and had well-seasoned meat inside. The small Parrillada we ordered featured good meat, with the delicious being the pork and beef. As for desserts, we tried the Quatro Leche Cake and Chocolate Mousse. Unfortunately, the desserts didn't quite meet our expectations, though we did enjoy the Quatro Leche Cake more.
Pros: Great quality steak and food. Very clean and plenty of wine selections. Elegant gourmet place Cons: Portions are somewhat small for the price. Any sides you'd like would be additional cost. Service needs improvement/coaching. I was expecting some tango or milonga as the background music instead of country.
the ambiance was a cool vibe. the wait staff was very professional my major issue was the food. we ordered the parillada and the salmon. the meat was asked for medium rare and we got a well done. the salmon same thing we asked for medium and got well done so it tasted dry and a bit too salty. The mash potatoes was delicious and so was the Fries. overall a 3.8 for me . thought it was too pricey for the quality that I received but please be your own judge you may have a better experience than me.
Update: AS YOU ALL CAN SEE ON THE REPLY THE LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY FROM THIS PLACE IS ABSURD. They said a manager was never contacted about the issue we expressed to the waiter but I guess that says a lot about the place, the management and the lack of professionalism. The part where they said my statements are far from reality, when we as a family are the ones who experienced it first hand, confirms the lack of accountability. THAT WAS THE REALITY! Will never recommend once again and updated all ratings to one star. Thank you My previous review: Crazy to say but my expectations were high for this place and they did not meet them whatsoever. Brought my parents here since we thought it was going to be a nice flavor of Latin cuisine in a very high end area but I can honestly say we will not be recommending this restaurant or visiting again. Paid over $100 for 2 milanesas that were over cooked, small, and tasted old, 2 empanadas which were the only good thing we had (hence the only picture I took), 1 pollo al horno (no seasoning at all) and 1 cranberry juice. The experience became extremely awkward when we reminded our waiter my dad ordered French fries with his milanesa and not mashed potatoes, the waiter after speaking to his manager which I have NEVER in the yrs I have been making reviews have had the experience of a manager tell the waiter to get the mashed potatoes back from the customer’s plate to be able to give us the French fries (that btw it was the waiter or cooks mistake sending the wrong item) they said if we didn’t give them back we will be charged extra for the fries so I asked for a plate and placed the potatoes on the plate and waited for the French fries which at least were tasty. Anyways all that to say very bad experience overall.
When you order well done , even remind them to please make sure it's well done and they still give it to you, at best medium, it's not ok! I love a good steak and am willing to pay for one but I expect it to be cooked to my liking. Strike three on getting it cook to my liking. I kept ordering from them hoping they would get it right because their sides are amazing. It's really sad because thier sweet potatoes and brussel sprouts are hands down some of the best I have ever eaten. I am tired of giving my expensive under cooked steak to my dogs! When I called to complain tonight for the 1st time, I let the previous times slide, I got told they cook it that way to make sure it wont over cook while waiting to be picked up, SERIOUSLY, i just told you as did my order and my husband when he was picking it up, I WANT IT WELL DONE! So frustrating!
