Just had an awesome meal here during the San Angelo Stock Show. We didn’t think we would get in because of how busy it was and there were 16 of us. The manager, Aly, was a lifesaver. She got us settled at separate tables nearby and made sure everyone was having a good time. She gave us great food suggestions and even made the kids laugh. My wife was super happy about the hospitality. Brandon, our server, was a champ, too. He was on top of everything and made sure we had everything we needed. The pizza was the best I've ever had. Can't wait to come back next year
They the best food I have tasted In years, should be a Michelin star restaurant, it’s just that good!!!
My first time here with my 2 best friends and we had a blast! Food and service was great! I had the fish n chips, friend 1 had the blackened chicken, and friend 2 had the California club, it all came out fast. We all shared the beignetss and those were really good as well. Would love to come back again.
The restaurant was highly recommended to us by the hotel. We were not disappointed. Food was great. We split a hamburger as it was quite large.
Love their pizza. Best we've had in a really long time. Great service.
Our server Seyanna was great. I mentioned that I was from New Orleans and she mentioned that people think their beignets is just as good or better than those in New Orleans, challenge accepted. With all honesty, the beignets were very good and they had this awesome crème sauce on the side. They rival the best beignets I’ve had in my home town and it’s hard for me to say that about anything outside of New Orleans. The chicken and waffles were good as well, waffles missing a little kick, but overall very good. The restaurant is awesome, great atmosphere and the staff were really friendly. Thanks Seyanna!!!!
We went there for brunch and the selections make it really hard to choose because everything sounds amazing, had a blueberry banana pancakes, and it was right on the money, coffee was very weak but the food makes up for it. Looking forward to coming back.
Elegant place, you see lots of family and friends enjoying the resturant as well as amazing food. That is a five star service. I ordered pork chops, and mash potatoes. Pork chops were cooked to perfection and "the white sauce on pork chops was delicious". Highly recomended: pork chops.
Such fantastic food everytime I go. The key lime pie, wagyu burger, tacos, wings, and beignets are a MUST!! Our servers Shelby, Elijah, and Grace are amazing every time we go and love making this place a staple.
Incredible food, extremely high quality with perfect serving sizes for hungry individuals. Nice atmosphere, and well mannered servers.
If you LOVE great food, GO HERE! I was here for a work trip and came here for lunch. Melissa recommended the steak tacos and cauliflower (the cauliflower here will change your life!!) and it was more than amazing. I came back the same day for dinner and had the salmon and cauliflower (because I’m addicted), it was jaw dropping good. Brandon was my server in the evening and I am so impressed with the service that both Melissa and Brandon provided (dynamic duo)! 10/10 recommend ! Can’t wait to come back here just for this place :)
The Food is always great. They have amazing pizza and good drinks.
Morgan was a great server. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped me find a dish that worked around my food allergies. Thanks, Morgan!
Really hits all the marks for a good gastropub. Food was not just good, it was really good. From the top... Happy hour prices were phenomenal, wings were $6 and had a mellow garlicky flavor that really satisfied. Draft beer was $6 with a half dozen on tap and many more in bottles. The chorizo pizza was just *chef's kiss* marvelous with the flavor choice. Serrano pepper sauce over buffalo mozzarella, cilantro and chorizo on a mild tomato base and out of a wood fired oven. I'll eat that every day please and thank you. Ambiance was pretty good too. Now it wasn't perfect, and if give it 4.5 if I could but they are waaaay above a 4. Could use some more taps for a gastropub (my preference), pizza crust was too thick for neapolitan style pizza (fight me), and I left my remaining 1/2 pizza at the restaurant. Not their fault, just saying it makes me sad. Highly recommend, go feast.
We've been several times and it has always been delicious. They have basics and also interesting dishes. Brunch is amazing.
I’m from south Texas and this is by far the best pork chop of my life! Amazing grill work, not overcooked, sauce was outstanding and presentation with garlic mash brought it home. Well done C&P! Austin Hope Cabernet was the perfect thread throughout our meal! Thanks so much!
Oh Cork & Pig.... I've never had a unsatisfactory experience here and the food is ALWAYS on point. You are one of my favorite San Angelo go'to's when my wife and I are in town. Keep up the excellent service and amazing food!
To start I’m from Houston,TX.. we had never heard of the cork & Pig Tavern. We were sent here by my class instructor. Parking- lots of parking no issues what so ever getting into the establishment Service- our wait time was about 20-30 minutes just enough time to have a pre dinner drink at the bar while we waited for our table. Our service was amazing at the table from Beginning to end. Food- I ordered the pork chop with broccolini the flavor was amazing super fresh. My wife ordered the Salmon with mashed Potatoes- super fresh and rich We loved the Menu & everything you guys had to offer we most definitely will be returning this week before we have to leave San Angelo Thank you so much for the amazing service and food perfect date night achieved.
A Belgian ale, order of calamari, and a Cuban sammich dingged me $40. The ale was cool, the calamari had a thin crisp breading with tender flesh, and the Cuban gave me the meat sweats. Whole place smells of ribs and has a nice ambiance. Definitely try this place for a date night.
I give this place 5 stars all around! Food did not disappoint at all! When you walk in you're greeted with the sweetest aroma of mesquite and BBQ! Service was good! And the atmosphere of the place was so welcoming. I sadly didn't get any pictures of my food but the burger was so delicious, the flavor was on point and cooked to perfection. My mom got a steak and let me try a bite and it literally melted in my mouth!! Definitely prefer this place over Outback Steakhouse or Texas Roadhouse! LOL! We will definitely be returning! No bad things to say whatsoever!
We most recently visited Cork and Pig on the evening of 5/25/19. It was quieter than normal probably because of it being Memorial Day weekend. We made reservations earlier in the day because it can be very busy on weekends. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately. The restaurant was immaculately clean. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Our steaks were cooked exactly as ordered and were melt in your mouth delicious. The Kale salad was marvelous. The manager stopped by each table to enquire after the patrons. We enjoyed watching the pizza chef toss and shape the dough for crust. Cork and Pig is always a delightful experience !
Our service was phenomenal! We tried a few things on the menu. The BBQ chicken pizza, the chicken sandwich, and their grilled chicken sandwich. The atmosphere was relaxing, and the food was very well prepared. Our server, I sure wish I could remember his name, was phenomenal! He recommended their Basil Hayden Rye old fashioned and it was so good, i had to have two! We will definitely go back when we are in San Angelo!
Was in San Angelo for a couple of weeks and ate at the Cork & Pig twice! Everything was delicious. First trip, I shared the spinach & artichoke dip with table, and ordered the salmon for my main meal. It was so good we went back again the next week and I ordered the Californian Salad and it was one of the best salads I've ever had in my life. I will definitely be back if I'm ever in San Angelo again!
Solid spot, great food & drinks. Much friendlier service than Twin Peaks if you're staying at the Fairfield. Fancier feel while still affordable.
Best place in town, best beignet we've ever had. Excellent pizza, sandwiches and burgers. Can't say enough good things!
This place has great ambiance. I really like the soft lighting and the feel of the restaurant. Our waiter was awesome. We ordered mocktails, not my favorite but was grateful for the option. The menu isn't overly complicated. We did have to wait a bit for our food, , quite a bit, but it came out hot and fresh. The portion sizes were fair for the price point. Everyone worked hard to give us a pleasant experience. The pizza was so so good. I would return for that alone. The fish and chips were ok. The appetizer wings were the best I've ever had!
Amazing service and food. The staff here is fantastic. When we initially walked in, we had to wait awhile for a server, but their team was fast to correct this and even offered a free appetizer. Drinks were reasonably priced, and they were able to make a mocktail version of each one. Highly recommend the roasted pork chop!
Armed with my bottle of Lactaid, I adventured to the restaurant next to my hotel called Cork & Pig, and boy, was it an unforgettable experience! As a lactose-intolerant food lover, I always have to pick my battles and this time…I still came out ahead. This place exceeded all my expectations and left me craving for more! I arrived during their happy hour, which runs from 3-6pm Monday through Sunday. The atmosphere was lively and inviting, with a warm and welcoming staff ready to assist me. I was promptly seated, and my evening kicked off with a delightful mango martini. The drink was expertly crafted, perfectly balanced, and the refreshing flavors of mango transported me to a tropical paradise. Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the pizza. I opted for "The Pig," and let me tell you, it was love at first bite. The combination of savory ingredients, crispy crust, and generous toppings left me in pizza heaven. The flavors harmonized beautifully, and despite my initial intention to exercise self-control, I couldn't resist devouring the entire pizza. It was simply that good. Throughout my dining experience, the service was exemplary. The attentive and friendly staff members ensured that I had everything I needed, from offering menu suggestions to promptly refilling my water glass. In addition to the amazing food and outstanding service, they impressed me with their commitment to providing a relaxing and enjoyable dining experience. The ambiance was cozy, and the well-designed interior created an inviting and comfortable atmosphere. The combination of rustic charm and modern aesthetics added a unique touch to the overall experience. Now, I must admit, indulging in dairy-rich dishes has its consequences for me. Am I suffering now? Yes indeed. But was it worth it? Absolutely! #noregrets.
We decided to try this for lunch and we were glad we did! It was busy, so we chose to sit at the bar, where full service is offered. The bartender was sweet and helpful, with charming Texas hospitality. We started with drinks and the spinach artichoke appetizer. It was delicious, with lots of spinach and crispy tortilla chips, as well as a robust salsa. The bartender recommended the beef rib, and a guy sitting down the bar from us highly recommended the house special roasted peanut coleslaw. Not only were the portions large, but the food was delicious. The rib was fall-off-the bone tender. The coleslaw did not disappoint. It had a delicious spicy peanut dressing that was unique and complimented the Carolina mustard bbq sauce on the rib. I also enjoyed the creamy mashed potatoes. My daughter ordered the roasted chicken which had a mushroom, spinach but on sauce. It was tender and flavorful. Overall, a wonderful dining experience.
I cannot say enough good things about this place. We got there a little late (8:30 pm) and we sat at the bar. The bartender was fantastic. The drinks were great and the food was amazing. If I am ever in San Angelo again, I will definitely be here. I started with an old fashioned and some deviled eggs. I ordered “The Pig” pizza and my copilot ordered the beef rib. Everything was delicious. I wanted to try the beignets but I couldn’t stop eating the pizza so I didn’t have room.
We ordered the Reuben sandwich with a Little House salad and The Pig pizza. Food was incredible!! When we arrived the line was pretty lengthy. It was supposed to take 30 minutes for us to be seated but we didn't wait nearly that long. So glad that we chose Cork and Pig for date night!!
Update: Came back to this place after 10 years to celebrate our friends changed of command. The service and food are still as superb, as I remember! Will come back again when we are in town! Fell in love with this place. It's modern and the food is delicious. The staff is very attentive. Our server is Alicia and she is fantastic. She gave awesome suggestions. Try the steak salad and the peanut coleslaw. Can't go wrong!
Spending a few days with the wife in San Angelo, Texas and stumbled upon this place not far from the hotel. Lucy our server greeted us immediately and after ice tea and a glass of water, we ordered wings along with the Ultimate Pepperoni pizza. Okay, I'm from the Bronx, home to the best pizza east of the Italian border. Living primarily in Texas, good pizza here is difficult to come by. Well San Angelo, you got some good pizza at the Cork & Pig. Delicious pizza and wings. To top it off, Lucy got wind of it being my birthday and comp us some seriously delicious Beignets. Off Da Chain! Nuf said.
Our overall experience was fantastic! We were seated quickly, our waiter, Ben, was very friendly and helpful. At his recommendation, my husband hesitantly tried the beef rib with roasted cauliflower. I has the pork chops with mashed potatoes. We were not disappointed! The servings were very big and wonderfully prepared. The deviled eggs with bacon were a great start to the meal and we finished off with their famous beignets. We've been to a lot of restaurants all over the country and were treated to the best and friendliest service ever by Ben. We will happily visit again when we are back on San Angelo.
I've been wanting to go to Cork and Pig for some time now, well, I finally checked it out and it did not disappoint, from the smiling, attentive waitress to the main dish!!! The wing appetizer we got were hands down on the top three list of best wings I've ever had!!! Next was a cut of steak I generally never order but it was the only cut they had and it was cooked to perfection!! My knife did go through that thick cut of meat with ZERO resistance, my first time having broccolini, loved it! My husband had the half chicken with glaze, he devoured it along with his side dishes. The only disappointment is I didn't have room for dessert!!!
Exceptional food. The double bone-in pork chop was so tender and juicy, I didn’t need a knife to cut it. The salad was great too with fresh cut avocado and flavorful tomatoes. Just phenomenal. The service was great too. My only complaint is that I ate every last bit on my plate!
I’m a big club sandwich fan and this establishment did not disappoint! Delicious sandwich and the peanut slaw is fantastic: I’ll be back.
Love C&P. Been a loyal fan since day 1, back at the old building (I played loved music in the courtyard back in the day :)). It’s grown and changed over the years but the food is still the best in town. Every dish is uniquely delicious - and we’ve always had top notch service. Keep up the good work. My only complaint is that I wish they had more gluten sensitive options. I usually get the Chopped Salad without croutons. Otherwise, the menu is pretty limited for those with restrictions.
Lots of good parking. Nice bldg, inside and outside. The hostess was very polite and took me to a nice table. My waitress showed up almost immediately and took my drink order and left the menu. She was back with my drink in a short minute and took my order. I was pressed for time so I already new what I wanted, which was the fish. The meal was so delicious. The crust on the fish was so light and golden brown. The fish was tender and juicy. It came with a side of fries that had a perfect color, crunch and seasoned to perfection. I will be going back again when I have more time to stay and enjoy the atmosphere.
We had a party for 25 on Saturday for a dear friend, and C&P was the place she requested. I wasn't too sure, but she knew best. Our experience was incredible from the moment I called to make the reservation. The young ladies at the front that helped me make the reservation and prep for the party were efficient, professional, and kind. They helped me select appetizers and set up a small table to serve them. The food was incredible. But the absolute best part was our servers Brandon and Seyenna. They were quick, present, sweet, efficient, and so so patient! They made us smile and worked harder than I've ever seen any two young people work to make things perfect for us. Highly recommend Cork and Pig.
So happy that my OG server Michael is back! Stopped by last Saturday and as always, he was super attentive. I can always trust his recommendations as well when I’m in the mood for something different. He always has a positive attitude and uplifts the energy which makes the dining experience more fun. The food was great as well! I went in during lunchtime and didn’t have any issues with the service. Ask for Michael if you plan to stop by :)
What a great place. It’s a top notch restaurant with excellent food and service. We had the Pork Chop, Fish & Chips and Beef Stroganoff. All were excellent, and the price was very reasonable for food of this quality. Our server, McKenzie, was an absolute delight. Can’t wait to have dinner there again.
I took a long drive from San Antonio, and this place was recommended. From the door to the table it was welcoming. I had the fried calamari and it was clean fried, didnt have that dirty oil taste, and seasoned nicely. The ribeye was moist and had a nice char, also very well seasoned. The squash with pecans, and the home made mash potatoes finished it off nicely. I would reccomend this place if you are in town
Tonight we celebrated our wedding anniversary and we had the BEST meal, BEST beverages and BEST service!! Brandon took great care of us and Elle was a perfect front of house person. Both of them told us how everything is made in house. I had the mocktail punch which was yummy!! We ordered the rib eye which was served with acorn squash with roasted pecans. Their Parmesan mashed potatoes were so good I forgot to take a photo. The beignets were light as a cloud and served warm. We’re sad we don’t live close by but we will definitely come back again when we’re in the area.
So I didn’t take a picture before I started eating so my food is half gone. But anyway, I was pleasantly surprised by this place. Went out all yesterday and tried a few spots and they were decent, nothing major. Came here for brunch and everything I had was delicious. And let’s talk about the beignets… my people are from New Orleans so we know good beignets and these… neck and neck. Minus the drizzle. The caramel was not my favorite. The brunch hash was delicious. Our server was Seyanna and she was great. Very helpful and honest about the food. Everything she recommended was worth the buy. No complaints. Also, if you get the brunch cork and pork hash, get the green salsa with it. It hits!
Tasty food with good quality. Lots of variety. I got the fish and chips and it was so tasty. They also gave me a side salad instead of fries when I asked for it. The beignets were also great size and so tasty. We came with a big party and they set us up nice with quality service. Big parties will get an auto tip so check for that.
Fortunate to discover this place within walking distance from my hotel. Restaurant looks very inviting inside and out. Walking in I felt welcomed and every staff member was pleasant. The menu had all great choices but I chose the mahi tacos with parm mash potatoes. The presentation was beautiful and the food was delicious. I was very happy with my choice. For dessert I had the beignets. They were amazing Best I’ve ever eaten by far! The portions were just right and the prices were fair. I came in for lunch and I’ll be back for dinner. Highly recommend!
Best meal in San Angelo! They have a small menu but it’s well curated. Small beer list, small wine list and small apps / entre list. But the experience is phenomenal. I got the chicken sandwich - lightly fried and with coleslaw and chatter - very flavorful. Cesar salad was fresh. Mother Earth IPA from San Angelo was ohenomenal.
We came for lunch, the parking lot offers lots of space. We got inside and had to wait 2 or 3 minutes for someone to even show up at the front to seat us. The inside looks amazing, the decor is very well done. Once we were seated they took our drink order and appetizer order. They came out very quickly. The queso and pizza tasted delicious. The menu is limited with what they offer, pizza seems to be their main dish and their brunch menu looks delicious so we will have to come back for brunch.

Absolutely amazing staff food and drinks. Definitely a must to go place to visit. The Queso is delicious the meatballs for happy hour is a go to.
tuna salad is awesome and service is good they are super sweet and gets food to you at a good time
The tavern was nice and clean. The food was very good. The staff were very nice! We had the pizza. It was delicious
Always a great place for lunch dinner or just happy hour and a snack. The restaurant is always clean and service is good.
We had coffee, tea, and beignets. All were very good. A bit pricey but good. Only suggestion I would make is to watch your receipt.... 20% tip was already added ( we thought it was tax) so we added additional generous tip to ticket.
We were seated for over 10 minutes before our server came to speak to us. She passed our table about 4 times without acknowledging us. A quick "I'll be with you in a moment" would be nice. She was friendly and pleasant once she waited on us. The food was excellent. It was our first time eating there and won't be our last.
We heard the beignets were fantastic so we ordered them as an appetizer. They were out. The keylime pie was also out. Kid ordered the Cuban. That was out. Ok.... Ended up with 2 plates of fish tacos and a vegetarian pizza. For an appetizer we got the calamari which apparently has artichoke also fried and mixed in? I didn't read the description thoroughly obviously. Super greasy - we all felt nauseous afterwards. The pizza was nothing special. Not fantastic. Not awful. I quite enjoyed the fish tacos but the lemon aioli for the cauliflower was very heavy on the mayonnaise taste. I would prefer a fresher taste for lemon and cauliflower. Our waiter was very good but I don't think I would purposely go back here. 4 stars. 3 for food. 1 for waiter and greeter.
Here's a polished version of your review: --- We stopped by on a Tuesday night while staying at the hotel next door and were seated right away. It looks like they’re doing some renovations on one side, but the interior was simple and inviting. Our waiter seemed a bit tired and dry at first, but as we asked questions and joked around, he warmed up. For dinner, we ordered the Salmon with cauliflower and the Beef Rib with mashed potatoes and broccolini. Everything was delicious, though my mashed potatoes were cold. The waiter quickly took them back and microwaved them, which wasn’t ideal but at least they were warm afterward. Initially, we considered getting an appetizer, but our waiter suggested saving room for dessert instead—and I’m so glad we did! The beignets were absolutely AMAZING. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and we might just walk back over for those beignets again!
We stopped in because we saw they were pet friendly and thank goodness they were! The staff is great, attentive and friendly. Our pups got a water bowl. Food was yummy-i had meatballs and mashed potatoes and my husband had “the fix” and he loved it. Will definitely be back!
UPDATE: Thank you Mark for taking the time to respond to my review and taking my call. I appreciate your professionalism and dedication to great customer experience. Food AMAZING Customer Service AMAZING But make sure you ask for a table fan. The gnats that swarm you while eating and conversing are not amazing. That’s the only reason for the 1 star.
The wait staff seems very professional. Well trained and attentive to your needs. I got the pizza and had way too much crust in the form of what you might call the bones. It was a Chorizo Pizza and it was delicious. The slice of avocado on each slice really gives a creamy punch to the pizza. It has a very nice decor inside but I did not find the seats comfortable for eating because you're in more of a relaxed posture. Too trendy...
The place had a nice vibe. If you want a diet drink you will not get it here. They only serve Coke Zero. The Deviled eggs were really good. The Chicken Caesar was soggy but the chicken had a good flavor. My husband really liked the Beef Short Rib and Mac n Cheese and the Cuban was good. We got the Pot de Crème had way too much coco powder.
Ordered The Pig pizza with added jalapeños for a to go order. There was only 1 jalapeno on each slice. Made us laugh. The pizza was not cooked enough and was very sparse with the other toppings. …

Great bar service. I had a regular old fashioned. It was very tasty, used the good maraschino cherries, generous and deep pour of bullit whiskey. And friendly service. The food on the other hand was something that needs addressed. I ordered the blackened ribeye, medium rare. The chef/kitchen manager brought it out to me and asked me to cut into it in front of everyone at the bar. I did. And it was cooked medium rare. However it was blander than a concrete wall. I told the chef about it to which he became discouraged he asked if he could prepare it to my liking. I said okay sir yes please but I've watched Gordon ramsay and he always advises not to return the steak because it messes with their pride and they will simply ruin it even more out of spite. Well he went back in the kitchen for 1.5 minutes, returned with the same steak and said "alright man hre ya go I put salt on it for ya" it was the same exact steak, and I asked him, did you just take my steak back to the kitchen and put salt on it and then bring it back to me. He said "yeah and I put it back on the burner see the butter is meted" I said no sir I do not want that steak. He said what if I buy it for ya?" I said no thank you and ask the bar tender for my check. The Air was so thick you could slice it with a butter knife, and all eyes from everyone at the bar and both bartenders were mesmerized at what happened. Please tell the kitchen manager/gm/chef that the proper way to cook a returned steak is to throw it in the trash and begin with a brand new steak. Salt and lightly pepper the meat while it is still raw. Then you begin cooking. I will definitely be back here for another one of those old fashions though. As for the steak chef, a little useful information could go along way. Perhaps he was unaware that you should start anew if you miscook a steak. You simply cannot cook it without seasoning and then take it in the back and put salt and pepper on it and throw it on the flame again. That isnt how you properly cook a steak.
This has been our go to place for good food and service. Lately it hasn’t met either standard. Service was lackluster and the food was cold. I had eggs over easy and they were so rubbery that I had to use a knife to cut them. At least the bacon was good, but the toast was mostly burnt so there you go. Wife’s omelette was cold as well and the filling was pretty much non existent. A couple of onion and pepper pieces. I gave her mine from the roasted potatoes I had. Eggs Benedict were the same as the rest of the meals, cold. $102 later we left and most likely will not be back anytime soon. Seems like a lot of the higher end restraunts are any better. Angry Cactus for one comes to mind. We will start looking at smaller, less expensive places who know how to treat a customer. This is an edit to my review after the GM contacted me. 8/22/2025 I replied to Mark Hunter, the GM, and to this date I have still not heard back from him. I think he posted just so people would see that he replied to our concerns, but never intended to follow through on his offer. Haven’t been back yet!
Food is excellent and usually service is great, however, on a busy night like Mother's Day, it's understandable that may have caused for slower service. Additionally, my friend ordered chicken wings and we noticed a small hair on the wing, including the ranch sauce he'd ordered. We noticed the employees preparing the food do not wear beard nets and management stated, after making them aware of the hair on the food, that beard nets were not a requirement. For sanitary purposes, and because we can openly see the employees preparing the food before it's delivered to the table, it would leave for a much better peace of mind for the customers, if beard nets were required for the employees preparing the food. Additionally, management did not offer any type of discount or so, for the inconvenience. That's the least they could have done.
Before arrival, my party tried of 7 attempted to make a reservation for 7. It was unavailable. What was weird however was that we could have made a reservation for 8. Knowing this, we walked in. We walked in and the host was not helpful, he had to grab his colleague. The person he grabbed was rude, and used an unkind tone when talking with us and other customers. When we got seated, our waiter was quick to get drinks, but not quick to refill them. Our server had a lot on his plate. He had two big tables and his own section. He was working hard, but I did not observe management help him out at all. The appetizers were good, but took a long time to come out. When we finally got our food, things were wrong. We sent it back, and got a new one to go, but then new was burnt. We didn’t realize until we left. The restaurant is also very loud. It’s not a good environment for conversation. However there were some highlights. The food that was correct was very good. The mash potato’s are fantastic. The beignets are also amazing. It was a great way to finish off the evening. Overall, The food was good, but could have had better service and friendly faces to greet you entering the restaurant.
Really good food here at the Cork & Pig. The tavern offers a diverse menu featuring various dishes catering to different tastes and preferences. The menu features many options, including salads, burgers, pizzas, steaks, and more. Service can be hit or miss at the CPT; sometimes you have a great attentive server and sometimes you're lucky to get a refill.
I hesitate to write this review as I've been here before and have had pleasant experiences. However, my latest visit was a tad disappointing. I called and placed a pickup order for the wood-fired chicken and the fish and chips, and I asked for a side of broccolini on each of those, since their menu says that each entree comes with a side. When I went to pick it up, I noticed I was charged an extra 7$ on one of the broccolinis - I asked the hostess and was told that the chicken comes with mashed potatoes already, and that I would have to pay for any extra sides. When I came home, I noticed that the fish and chips was missing the chips - I suppose the chips were considered a side and thus were replaced by the broccolini? I am disappointed on both items because the menu seemed to imply that the sides were in addition to what constituted the dish - and that was wrong. The menu has no mention of a mashed potato 'default' side for the chicken, or that the chips in the dish named 'Fish and Chips' is considered a side. I wish the menu was clearer, hope it is something they consider fixing soon.

Great vibe but very overpriced. If I can get a steak in Austin for under $40 dollars, I shouldn’t have to pay over $60 in San Angelo. Again, good vibe!

My partner and I ordered the Parmesan Chicken and she ordered a salad because two of the menu items were out of stock(an already small menu). We received the food, but I began to feel a bit sick after eating my pasta. My pasta just tasted like out of the canned sauce and basic store-bought noodles. The chicken was OK but not 20/$30. We didn't end up finishing our food and we left on a sad note. For the price, the food definitely could taste better. But at least you pay for a nice atmosphere that has SpongeBob the movie on :)
Food was mediocre, staff were below average, drink service was INSANELY slow. GRATUITY IS ALREADY ADDED IN. We had a table of 7, and one person did not get their food until everyone was finished eating. We also received our drinks towards the end of our meal. We ordered another round hoping this next one might come out faster, but no, we had ALREADY PAID and were charged for our next round and had to wait another 20 minutes just to get them. It was ridiculous. Would not recommend this establishment.
Service great atmosphere great . Food avg to poor . Literally ordered a Hamburger was brought to the table without the meat …..
I tried to send this to the restaurant directly but I was denied: Today I got a Pig pizza for take out. I was going to do a review but figured I would just let the restaurant know. What happened to the pizza? In the past, I recall the pig pizza being very unhealthily delicious and salty and full of meats. What happened? I'm just a concerned customer, I didn't believe when everyone else told but I found out today. Best wishes.
Had reservation scheduled 3 days out, restaurant cancelled them stating they were too busy. Awesome way to run a business
I eat here weekly and the food is good. I would advise anyone ordering a drink to ask the prices before hand. I ordered a regular ranch water with Don Julio instead of well and the drink was $40. Looking over the reciept, the waitress was new and requested the 1942. After speaking with the manager and explaining to him that there was some sort of confusion he was extremely unprofessional and said the price is what it is (Jaime) I believe his name was. The bad experience for me has swayed me from coming back regularly. $40 dollars for one drink is okay if you specifically request it but not due to an unexpierence wait staff. The waitress was very professional and friendly just not trained well.
Absolutely horrible experience just now picking up a to go order. When we arrived after the quoted 45 minute wait time, the hostesses let me know that my order had never been rang in. They didn’t apologize and then asked if I still wanted it. I said yes but honestly should have declined. I asked if it was going to be another 45 minutes and was told it would be rushed so it would only be 15-20 minutes. A man who I assume is a manager did come out and say sorry and they would get it right out. After waiting another 35 minutes, the food finally came out but the order was incomplete. When we finally got all of our items, I was given a check for full price. I had to ask for a discount and was only given 15% off which was still a $95 bill. I’m pretty appalled by the whole encounter and won’t ever be back.
Came to this location a few months ago for my birthday lunch and had a horrible experience. Service was insanely slow and the waiter ignored our table on multiple occasions. The pizza and beignets were delicious though. Decided to try again last week and somehow had the exact same experience. We were seated immediately and after waiting 10 minutes with a waiter walking past us to neighboring tables at least 5 times without so much as an “I’ll be with you in a moment” or a water to drink. We left without ever being served. I wouldn’t recommend this location to a single soul.
What used to be my favorite restaurant in town has gotten increasingly worse every visit. I sat outside, and the table was very very dirty (pictured). Neither of the two people who helped us offered to clean it. In fact, once we got our food, they came and cleaned all the tables around us. That told me she noticed how dirty our table was, but chose not to do anything about it. Although, the door clearly says they do happy hour every day 3PM-6PM, my waitress said she didn’t think they did happy hour on the weekends. I asked her to clarify with the manager after I went and double checked that the door said everyday. The manager, Al, came out and spoke to me like a five year old explaining the rules of playtime. She was extraordinarily condescending. And all I had asked was for them to honor what they’ve advertised on the door. She could have said no. I would’ve preferred that to being spoken to like an idiot. During my meal, she went outside and scraped the happy hour days off the door. The whole thing genuinely hurt my feelings. I had originally called to make a pick-up order, but when they told me the happy hour prices were for dine-in only, I explained I would come in instead. I feel like that would’ve been a nice time to tell me that I couldn’t get happy hour prices today anyways. My last visit, I came in to get the lemon blueberry pancakes, but was told they only have regular pancakes. I understand restaurants change their menus, but I was disappointed for sure. I hope they bring those back.
I don't eat at Cork & Pig very often - I don't have a money tree in my back yard. I like the atmosphere a lot. It has an old-world decor that's unique here. That being said, the last couple times I have eaten there, it wasn't a great experience. I ordered a burger, and even though it took forever to get done, it was raw inside. I expect this incompetency from McDonald's but not for a nearly $20 burger. The last time I ordered fish & chips and it was so greasy I got sick. Their pizzas are real good, but too pricey for what you get. This is just my experience; a coworker eats there all the time & loves it. Your experience may differ, but for me, I'll eat elsewhere.
