I love the rice!!!! Sounds weird from a fish place but the rice compliments so well!!! I love supporting family owned businesses! The fish and shrimp are fire too! This place just hits the spot if you are craving fried fish!!

A hole in the wall place. Very small, but the food more than makes up for it. I had a 3 pc fish fillet meal, and my fiance had a fish burger meal. The fillet was great. Thin batter, but plenty of meat. Comes with tartar sauce, lemons, bread, jalapeno, and your two sides. All combined made for a great, reasonably priced meal. The lady enjoyed her meal as well. She only remarked it could've used a saltier seasoning, which I guess is true. But along with the fries and onion rings, the salt levels evened out for me. I met a Mr. Roy who worked there, and was very friendly and eager to talk about his food. I'll definitely come back here if I'm ever back around this part of town.

Too much breading for my taste. Something different than the other local establishments. $50 for a family meal was a little much but I guess everything is.

Owner was respectful and yes he did have a gun on his waist. The food was great and the the price of food was average for fish. It's a hole in the wall but very good.

Just tried this yesterday. Bought the 20 pc set which came will a small bag of fries, and 2 styrofoam cups (possibly 12 oz?). One had tartar sauce. Not sure what the other had lol... Consensus of my 6 member family - it tasted alright. That's a B rating from us for the price.

Southern Country Comforts

Really good seafood. My cousin grab some take-out and I was surprised on the quality of food. The fish reminds me of Long John Silver's. The restrooms were very clean. That is one thing I always look for is a clean restroom and with soap in the dispenser. Yep. Homemade pecan pie is available. Good job. -Silva

Stopped here to try to get a feel for the truly local flavor of San Antonio. Walking into Arredondos was very welcoming and the smells were mouthwatering.... my fried shrimp and dirty rice , not so much. Shrimp was thin and tasteless.Dirty rice was salty and meatless. Portion size was not equal to $16.03 paid for it. I'm going to eat the shrimp but let me say I've never seen a cocktail sauce with a jelly like consistency. I'm never coming back but the service was very welcoming and homey.

I don't believe I'll b going back, It was super expensive and what? No rice , while I still got charged full price. So disappointed in the fake menu

2 weeks a go I went with a Patient we Order and they brought my PT the wrong Order he did not notice. Our server rudely claim that we have to pay different per their mistake. They Also had there children running around and making a lot of noise. Overall it was a very Unpleasant Experience. Definitely would not go back again.

I’ve never regretted stopping into a place more than I did when I visited. Homeboy at the counter was off putting from the start. There were no customers but he also seemed to not want to have customers. He was out of tea but refused to make anymore even though they close at 8:30! It’s 6:30! I’ll stay away.

They charge you for the drink without asking,close to 40 dollars for 2 plates ,I haven’t been there in a while but will definitely not come back ever,don’t know how they stay in business but I’ll let my friends and family about my experience and also post it on social media.

My mother and I visited this mom and pop seafood place thinking we would be eating fresh fish…however, it was quite the opposite. The customer service was great but the food was absolutely DISGUSTING. It took about 5 minutes for our food to come out once we were seated, which says a lot about the freshness of the seafood. The waitress brought us the 2 fish meal with rice and a dry crusty piece of white bread and shrimp that tasted like they bought it from Walmart and stored it in their freezer for 6 months before serving it to us. The fish was dry and looked like that microwaveable crap in the freezer aisle. Please do not eat here. It was dirty and the food was terrible. I didn’t even touch the rice it looked so nasty. It is not fresh food. It is clearly refrigerated food from Walmart or something. I was truly disappointed and bewildered at how many ppl lied and gave this place a good rating. Nice people, terrible food. If the owners read this, you can do so much better. You are disgracing San Antonio, Texas with microwaveable seafood on a paper plate. DO NOT EAT HERE! You will be disappointed and leave sick to your stomach. People, please stop lying about this place. It is hands down the worst seafood I’ve ever eaten in my life. Have some pride in the quality of food you serve people that are paying your bills and try improving the presentation. And…paper plates?! Come on. SMH. I will never set foot in this place again. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
