Came here with a group of friends for a birthday dinner last night and it was wonderful! The food was great, the service was superb and the manager even came over and talked with us. We all had a very enjoyable evening! Thanks to manager Chris and all the staff who made our night memorable. We will be back!
I would love to give this place all the props it deserves. The food is delicious. Very authentic and pleasant to the palette. My server , Liz was so chill and had great knowledge of the menu. She basically ordered for me , and I am glad I made the decision to let her do that. The atmosphere was just beautiful. Perfect for a future date. I will have my birthday here forsure. The food and atmosphere was great , but the people put the experience over the top. The manager Chris, personally came and had a 10 min conversation about things to come. I added the luce Facebook account , not only for the deals , but mainly because I Felt like a personal friend on my first experience. Thank you everyone.
The food was so delicious. I had the lobster ravioli and it was so good that I finished my entire plate. My partner had the bolognese gnocchi and he loved every bite. Guiseppe was so friendly and helped us pick out a red wine and the clam appetizer. We can’t wait to come back.
Food was fast and delicious. Judith was super friendly & always making sure we didn't need anything else.
We had a wonderful dining experience at Luce’s. We ordered meatballs, pasta fagoli soup, and a sampler appetizer that consisted of grilled shrimp, eggplant, and lobster ravioli. It was served with French garlic bruschetta and with a variety of sauces and butters. It was all delicious. Our main entrees consisted of chicken parmigiana and lasagna. Both dishes were very good. They have a great happy hour with many options to choose from. Many patrons were dining on pizzas. I will definitely be returning to try their pizza.
Absolutely stunning experience at LUCE! Of all the times I have traveled and enjoyed muscles, LUCE is hands down #1. I have tried variations from Asian, European, South American styles, LUCE is the BEST I've tasted! Linguine sauce was also perfection! Looking forward to our next visit!
This was our first time dining here. Love the atmosphere, Food was delicious Samantha was incredibly attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Her suggestions were spot on, and she made us feel welcomed and valued. Our dining experience was truly enjoyable, thanks to her excellent service. Sincerely, D&C
Giuseppe was a delight! My family and I left feeling like we’d made a friend. He told us about an amazing drink that went with the Tiramisu and really knew the menu. Also, the sauces here are *chefs kiss*
Joseph and his great staff treated us like family. From the introduction and booking to the day of our event. Joseph and team created a menu that presented great flavor and class. Definitely revisiting Luce on our next visit back to San Antonio and hope to see everyone at this great restaurant.
decided to come here during happy hour sat at the bar and was greeted by the bartender mia I was very unsure of what to order. she helped me decide what appetizers to start off with so i went with the meatballs and the shrimp both were absolutely delicious they both pair really well with the bread 😋 the service and food was beyond amazing i never knew this restaurant was here i would definitely be coming back with my family 🙏🏽
Luce has always been a family favorite in my household, and I am so happy to have been able to hold a beautiful private event at one of our favorite restaurants. When I was looking for a restaurant to host my daughter’s baptism lunch for 45 guests, I spoke with a lot of restaurants that gave me the run around and who’s advertised prices were not the same as the actual quote. I finally remembered to look into Luce for private events, and I am so happy I did. Their private event menu is not posted online, but Joe, the owner, and his amazing staff were quick in providing me information and were always willing to answer any questions I had. The fees were clearly communicated and the menu was tailored to our liking and budget. I was assured that everything would be ready and taken care of when our party arrived to Luce, and sure enough me and my family walked into the beautiful wine room that was all ready with appetizers, serving ware, water, menus and additional tables for our party favors, gifts and cake. The food and service were amazing. I didn’t get our servers’ and host’s name, but they were kind, funny, helpful and very good at their job. Everyone left telling me that they had had a wonderful lunch and had found a new restaurant to add to their rotation. I am so thankful for all of the work the people at Luce put into making my baby girl’s baptism even more special. I would whole heartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good meal or as a venue for a private event.
10/05/2024 We celebrated my Daughter in law 50 birthday here. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere and especially the top notch service made this event memorable. Joe stopped by to see how everything was going. Our waitress was on top of everything and ran things smoothly and in timely manner. Our guest were impressed. No complaints here.
Sad they are closing, always fantastic food and service is friendly and fast.
Luce has some of the best Italian food I've ever tasted! The calamari and chicken marsala were amazing, the staff were really friendly and the restaurant had a great ambiance. Great value. I highly recommend checking it out!
Valentine’s Day was our first time visit to Luce and it was a great experience all around. Our waiter Josiah was very friendly and explained the menu very well. The bread with the three spreads was a great start, the Caesar salad was fresh and crisp and we loved the dressing. My wife had the Shrimp Gamberi Limon on pasta, she enjoyed the shrimp but wish she could have ordered the pasta on the side. I had the Bistecca, New York Strip, and substituted the spinach with the vegetable risotto. The steak was cooked perfectly and had a good taste, it was my first time having vegetable risotto and I will definitely have it again. Great food, staff and very clean restaurant, Luce will now be our go to Italian restaurant from now on.
A BIG thank you to the owner and staff for making our book club feel so welcome! Such a beautiful restaurant with an amazing atmosphere! And a special shout-out to Sydney, Daniella, and Gabriela for going above and beyond for our party—so polite and providing outstanding customer service! Highly recommend for large groups or private parties!
Luce's has the best happy hour in town. I look forward to coming here every time I visit my Dad, and have never been disappointed. The staff and owner are very nice. The ambiance is high-end, but the patio is beautiful and relaxed. We usually sit outside, and almost always order the meatballs, the "salad of the sea", or the mussels. The pizzas are also very good. My most recent visit to Luce's was one of the highlights of my trip to San Antonio this holiday season.
Visited for the first time a few weeks ago with some girlfriends, and it was such a wonderful experience! The atmosphere was beautiful, the food was delicious, and Giuseppe’s service made the night unforgettable—so much laughter and fun. I can’t wait to come back! 🌟
Love happy hour here, dinner here, just about everything here. The environment is very relaxed, especially outside. The staff is super kind and quick, and we always have great service. My only area for them to work on is dessert, we didn't love the 2 we tried. The Mare e Monte is my favorite, but really you can't go wrong here. We'll be back again!
If you're looking for a five-star dining experience, Luce Ristorante is the place to be! Upon walking in, the upscale decor and chic ambiance immediately set the tone for a fantastic evening. One of the highlights of Luce Ristorante is their impressive Happy Hour menu. The dirty martinis and lemon drop martinis are a must-try! The flavor combinations are perfect, and the bartenders really know how to make a quality cocktail. As for the food, the Stromboli was an absolute standout. The crispy exterior perfectly complemented the gooey cheese and savory meat, creating a mouthwatering treat unlike any other. To top it all off, the service was nothing short of amazing. Our server, Miranda, truly went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was flawless. She was attentive, friendly, and made excellent recommendations. Overall, I would highly recommend Luce Ristorante. From the tasty cocktails to the delicious food and fantastic service, they have it all. A perfect destination for a romantic date night, a celebratory dinner, or any special occasion.
Great food and great choices. Wine list is long and diverse. Having a birthday there in December and they were great to work with the food and room.
Came across this hidden gem on a night out with my girlfriend.this place has the best calamari in San Antonio. I got Alfredo with steak which was to die for. My girlfriend had pizza which was delicious. . The cocktails were 10/10. Manager chris was super attentive to us making sure we enjoyed ourselves. Definitely will be coming back weekly.
Our girls night out was great. This awesome restaurant delivered on delicious food right down to the last morsel. We received 5 stars service from the waiters, who were professional & courtesy to our many requests. Even the owner stopped by to introduce himself & ensure our needs were accommodated. I can't stop raving about what a great experience we all had! I would definitely recommend this place to evervone!
Wow, so much delicious food. Went to Luce tonight for restaurant week and we were quite impressed. Everything was flavorful and attractively presented. Portions were large... So much so that if we go back we will likely split a main course and still have a doggy baggie of leftovers. Pictures are of the lamb chops with garlicky spinach and gnocchi (the gorgonzola gnocchi were too pale to photograph well, but otherwise were superb) and the chocolate lava torte (Admit it, who doesn't love this dessert).
Quietly, consistently, one of the top restaurants in San Antonio. Hand made Italian food, thoughtful and kind service, well designed and cared for facility.
Very warm and elegant atmosphere fills the space as you sir surrounded by hundreds of wine bottles that cover the walls. Staff was phenomenal! And very nice. The food is beyond outstanding. The shys away from the classics that people would expect to find in an Italian restaurant (like spaghetti and meatballs) but instead offers you more that Italy has to offer. And they have an amazing happy hour!! It's truly one of my favorite places in San Antonio
Third or fourth time here & every time leave very happy! The mussels are wonderful! Cocktails are perfect pours & refreshing! They even have paper straws now! Go for happy hour pricing. Service is friendly without being overbearing. Great food & beverage selection. Shrimp in lemon sauce with garlic & white pizza are excellent choices. The meatballs are perfect - tender & flavorful
Thanksgiving day dinner. Joe the owner was quick in welcome us and got us meatballs for the little one. The choices of lasagna and Turkey dinner were shared. The lasagna won hands down. The bread was fresh and warm the caprese salad very good as well as the pasta fragile soup. Their drink with the suavacito tequila and limoncello was really good too. Waiter was a little all over the place. But given the day I understand . Will have to come back and try some of the other menu items.
I was interested to see if there any more Restaurant Week places we could check out and the menu for @luceristorante piqued my interest. Hubby agreed when he took a look as well. I made reservations through Open Table for dinner tonight. We found out that the prix fixe menu is part of their regular offering. Included is a glass of sparkling wine, pinot noir or chardonnay. Hubby and I both chose pinot noir and it’s really smooth. Dad and I shared the Ravioli al Quattro Formaggi/Cheese Ravioli, and Pan-Seared Sea Bass, Shrimp and Asparagus Risotto. Hubby had the Gamberi al Limone/Sauteed Shrimp, and Linguine Mare Chiaro/Pasta with seafood. We all shared the Creme Brulee and Tiramisu. The portions are pretty generous that hubby wasn’t able to finish his pasta dish. It was a pleasure meeting owner and chef Joe Buonincontri. He’s been blessed with running @luceristorante for 18 years! I’m looking forward to warmer weather and sitting in their outdoor patio. We were noticing that several tables ordered their pizza so we might try that the next time. If you haven’t tried @luceristorante, add it to your list to check out!
So I took my Fiancée to Luce Ristorante E Enoteca . It's a very romantic little spot with awesome food and ambiance. When it's cooler they have a lovely patio area as well. I got a special reserved table where they have wine bottles all around giving a stained glass affect. They also gave a complimentary Tiramisu cake for his Birthday. We did the Special 4 course menu each. Our choice or red, white or sparkling wine. For the Antipasti - Costolette di Maile Balsamic Glazed: St. Louis Style Pork Ribs & Caprese: Tomato Slices and Fresh Mozzarella di Latte, Basil, and Olive Oil. For the Entree - Ravioli di Aragosta: Lobster Filled Ravioli, Tomato Basil Cream Sauce, Maine Lobster Meat & Mare e Monte: Grilled Sliced Certified Angus 10 oz. Bistro Tenderloin, 4 Grilled Shrimp, Fettuccine Alfredo, Toasted Garlic Vegetables. Dessert - Vanilla Bean Crème Brule & Tiramisu: Lady Fingers Dredged in Espresso, Layered with Rum Mascarpone, Topped with Whipped Cream and Chocolate Shavings. Everything was delicious and fresh made. The service was top notch as well. Definitely a night we will remember.
My experience was phenomenal. I love Gaby, she is the bartender. She makes beyond great drinks. I will definitely go back just for her drinks. They are truly phenomenal. She is a true mixologist, which is hard to find. I highly recommend Luce.
The interior atmosphere was a delightful surprise! We had a cozy and intimate lunch in a corner booth overlooking the beautiful shaded patio area and the wine room too. I selected a strip steak that was okay, I should have ventured into a more traditional Italian dish. My wife had the Ossobuco which was fantastically delicious! It came with a tiny fork to tap into the bone marrow of the veal shank. Holy moly! Amazing! The dish was hearty and flavorful. The service was friendly and attentive. We will most definitely return to experience more flavors of Luce!
Best service I've had ever. Our waiter jacepi (guy with a man bun) went out his way to go get a redbull for me from a shop next door because they ran out at the restaurant. Never had someone do such an awesome server like him.
Visited this location for a special event not during regular business hours. The food was superb, and service was fast & friendly! Started off with delicious meatballs and bruschetta appetizers along with mimosas. Entrées included steak, rigatoni with spicy sausage and meatballs or Halibut on top of a creamy shrimp & asparagus risotto, which is what I had. Beautiful restaurant all around...food, ambiance, and service. Looking forward to returning for a nice dinner sometime soon!
If you want good Italian food that is made with love and good family recipes this is the place!!! we stumbled on this place by accident on our way to a new "gastropub" that turned out to be just another gimmicky non creative place. And this was nearby... thinking this was just like every other Italian place we had always overlooked it... when we got through those doors and where met with class and service we where intrigued... we sat down and immediately looked for their most dynamic dishes and when we decided we where more than surprised.... we where right back in the kitchen with our grandparents tasting perfectly prepared sauces and dishes ... this is an excellent place for honest, freshly prepared and skilfully executed Italian cuisine... my compliments to the chef...<3
Went here for our anniversary. The food was amazing. Our server Josephe was so helpful and nice and even got us a free dessert. Definitely going back 😊
Couldn’t recommend this place more! They hosted my mom’s surprise birthday and knocked it out of the park!!! Our waiter Giuseppe was outstanding and went out of his way to make this event so special!! Highly recommend!!!
My family loved this place. The Food is amazing. Our server was named Chance. He was wonderful. We had wonderful service and food. We will definitely be back soon.
Luce Ristorante is a quaint, Italian restaurant with attentive staff and a personable, gracious owner. The outside seating is decked out in lights, landscaping, and a fireplace. The inside is beautiful with wine bottles on display and high ceilings as well as rich decor. We loved the full bar and delicious appetizers. The calamari was perfect, as well as all our drinks. We will be back!
If you are looking for a good Italian spot, this is your place. Hidden away in a small shopping center is this restaurant. Service was good, and everything was cooked to perfection. They have an extensive drink menu and a lot of classic staple Italian dishes. My only complaint is that the back area was a little cramped for my standard. I would recommend this place for business or a date.
We had the best date night here at Luce. Our server, Guiseppe, was absolutely amazing. He was so kind, fun and attentive. We will be coming back for the GREAT food and EVEN BETTER SERVICE. 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND LUCE!
We have not been to Luce in years. Thought we’d give it another try since it was restaurant week, so glad we did ! Food was excellent and service was on point! I had the calamari, misto salad, osso bucco, apple pie. All excellent and the main course was huge, so tender, and full of flavor. My husband had the lemon shrimp, pasta fagioli, mare e monte, apple pie. Steak was cooked to a perfect medium with a side of au jus. There were some other seafood options that looked so good, we may have to try those next.
My husband and I dine out a lot at many different places all over the U.S. and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Luce. Everything was absolutely amazing. Our service from Chance was impeccable very attentive and helpful. The atmosphere was very nice and we sat right by the Christmas tree and it made it that much more magical. The manager came by and spoke to us and made us feel so special. The food was absolutely the star of the show it didn't disappoint everything we had tasted wonderful but the dessert was the absolute best part and a perfect finish to a wonderful meal.
Giuseppe made my birthday celebration so special. He went above and beyond to accommodate my grand babies and to make us all feel welcomed. The food was fantastic, also! Giuseppe was a mixture of professional and fun. He was warm and very hard working. We had a wonderful time and my birthday cake had a special message written in chocolate! I can’t wait to go back to Luce’s upon returning to San Antonio!
I wanted to share my appreciation after dining recently with Charles. He was kind, attentive and stayed on top of everything we needed. His generous hospitality made the evening enjoyable-we will definitely be returning. Thank you for providing such wonderful service.
My husband and I decided to try something different this evening and OH. MY. GOSH. So glad we did!! We sat out on the patio since the weather was so nice (Christmastime in San Antonio, and hubby and I were wearing shorts and flip flops!) The inside was beautiful as well, with a huge wine selection on the walls. Our server, Chance, was PHENOMENAL. Very friendly, and attentive but wasn't on top of us every second. He suggested some great entrees; I had the Lobster Ravioli and hubby had the Rigatoni with meatballs. To say the food not only looked like perfection is a huge understatement, but the taste?? CAN'T EVEN describe it! Authentic Italian in every sense of the word. Chance mentioned something about old family recipes from Italy and I believe it!! We got soooooo full so we didn't get to try anything else (I DID have some soup as an appetizer, that's probably what did it) but Hubs insists that we come back next weekend for date night again to try more of these excellent entrees. I'm sure everyone there is great, but if you go, definitely ask for Chance. He knows his stuff; you can tell serving is his passion.
I absolutely love this place. It is my favorite spot to take clients for a quick happy hour. The meatballs and pizza are delicious. Bartender makes a fabulous martini. Atmosphere cozy yet feels upscale. 10/10 would recommend. Service is great also.
This was my 2nd time at Luce and I loved it! I loved it the first time I ate here and last night it was perfect for my birthday. I absolutely love the atmosphere and hospitality. The food was amazing, the service was amazing. Our waitress went above and beyond. We had a couple requests that weren’t on the menu and she made it happen! Luce made my birthday extra special with their delicious tiramisu! I highly recommend this restaurant. You won’t be disappointed.
Luce is a very nice, quiet and intimate restaurant. Has great customer service and makes you feel right at home. Apart from all of that, Luce has an amazing bartender by the name of Gabby C. I’m not a big cocktail person, but she asked me what do I like or normally drink and she made something that she knew I would enjoy and she was right! She has an amazing personality and makes everyone at the bar smile and laugh. They did a great job in choosing the staff.
Came for dinner after being out of town and was really hungry after a long drive. I was warmly greeted by the hostess, who sat us immediately. Did not have to wait for a table. Our waiter was friendly and was very attentive to our table. My dinner was delicious and I more than likely will order it again. I ordered some type of fettuccine dish with sausage and shrimp. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my family and friends.
It's fantastic, simple as that. My wife and I have come for happy hour almost 10 times in the past 4 months. To say this is our favorite Italian restaurant in San Antonio would be an understatement. The owner is almost always present, the staff cares about your experience and delivers exceptional service. The happy hour drinks and pizzas are our preferred staples but the other appetizers and entrees are top notch as well. The patio is very nice on a breezy fall evening. (The photos are some we've taken on multiple visits)
We had our 10 year anniversary date night here this weekend, and it was perfect! Loved the atmosphere, and our server was very attentive/friendly. My husband's steak was cooked perfectly, and my lobster ravioli was the best I've ever had. French cosmo was delicious. The owner stopped by to see how our meal went, very nice! Looking forward to going back soon.
Enjoyed the meal. To be honest, I didn't understand a word of what the dish names were but thank goodness for English details below the names. Pleasant place that has outdoor and indoor seating. The indoors are dimly lit creating a nice ambiance. The wait staff were very attentive and friendly. Food was excellent. Great taste, fresh made, and well presented. The portion sizes are Texas sized!
Beautiful place with great service but a bit overpriced. We got lobster ravioli and seafood pasta. The ravioli was delicious but small for the price. The seafood pasta not cooked evenly. Some of the mussels were overcooked and some were perfect. The sauce was very thin and didn't stick to the noodles like it should have. We got two desserts; cannoli and tiramisu. The tiramisu was bland and when you looked at it you could tell that the lady fingers had not been soaked well enough. The cannolis were delicious. The shell was perfectly crisp and the pastry cream was rich and luscious. Overall we ended up spending about $160 with tip for two people. Unfortunately we will most likely not be back.
Flavor: B Service: C Tea: A Solo dining: A My pasta was good but it I thought it was a little heavy on the noodles and light on the meat and veggies. My server was great to interact with but went long spans of time without checking in. I'll be back to try again if see if my next experience steps it up a little bit.
This place is very nice. It's tucked away in the back of a busy shopping center. I found it on opentable and wanted to take my woman out somewhere romantic for our anniversary. It ended being perfect. We seemed to have the whole area to ourselves. most of the other patrons were at the bar our on the patio. The food was amazing. Very well seasoned and fresh. My steak was bigger than I expected and couldn't finish it. The alfredo was probably the best I ever had. My steak was ordered medium well and was probably closer to just medium. I don't mind, I only get medium well so I can share it with my girl. Our server was very professional and informative. Offering substitutions choices.
Really great service, good food, and nice atmosphere on the outside patio. Had the Penne con Polpette e Salsiccia ($24) generous portions of meatballs and Italian sausage with penne pasta. The other entrée was the Ravioli di Vedure ($23). It consisted of mushrooms, onion, bell pepper, asparagus, and a tomato based cream sauce. It was good, but it could have used more shrooms, and the asparagus could have been cooked to a more tender state. We also had the caprese salad as an appetizer ($9). It was ok, but I’ve had better at lower prices - I just wasn’t impressed by it. I would skip that item next time. Short summary - good food, and great service (thanks to our server Gabi!), good portion sizes, but it is on the pricey side. Most of the entrees are between $20 and $25. But don’t let the pricing scare you off - it's worth it, and I will be back again. They have beer and wine, I don’t recall if they have liquor or not.
Giuseppe was super funny and welcoming. He was very nice and the service was great. The food was great. we ordered the lamb medium and it came a little more rare than we wanted but it was too delicious to even send it back! Atmosphere was great with candles in every table and low lights for a nice mood. What would make it better is live music.
Our hopes and expectations were high for Luce, and honestly, we were underwhelmed. Done wrong: the fans over the seats against the back walls are filthy - they weren't on and the whole meal we joked about 'When Airborne Dust Bunnies Attack'. The 'Mare' part of 'Mare e Monte' - was scortched carbon black on one side and you're not at a Cajun restaurant. The Monte part had no flavor and was barely at the medium temperature and was unstylistically 'plopped on a plate'. There simply was no love felt in our entrées. Done right: our server was attentive, our salads were okay, and our desserts were great - oh, the bread was really good and so were the fried rice balls. Pluses for this place - wonderful outdoor seating - which probably makes everyone rave about Luce's. But walking out of there just shy of 200 Bucks for 2 people - we felt 'meh' - we've had way better Italian elsewhere in the States and in Italy... and our experience at Luce was just slightly above an Olive Garden. Time of seating, 4p on Saturday, May 7th, 2022, Party of 2 with reservations.
I'm too used to oversized plates in mexican restaurants as well as texan restaurants were the main course is meat with sides. But the plates are really small. I mean I normally eat large quantities in mexican restaurants but come one. I order raviolis stuffed with lobster (which were good) and my wife order chicken parm (she liked it) but the quantity was really small. Made me understand why most people had pizzas on their tables rather than a dish. It seems great for those wine lovers they seem to have lots of options for wine. The margaritas were on point though not stingy with the tequila at all. I ended up paying 92 dollars for 5 or 6 lobster stuffed raviolis, one chicken parm with white rice (rice was not good) and two margaritas. Wont be back honestly.
In general the experience was good, although I had higher hopes for the food. We went for Restaurant Week and it was a very good deal in comparison to other RW offers. The food, however, was not great. The highlight of the night was the mussels in spicy sauce. They were abundant, served piping hot and, very satisfying (although they were on the verge of being over salted). The rest of the food was average - the bread (meh); the linguini mare chiaro was overcooked pasta & the sauce was too thick, unlike Neapolitan style pasta; the osso bucco lacked salt & depth; the rack of lamb was good enough, but could have used a little seasoning & leaned more towards rare than medium-rare. I could go on, but maybe I’m too harsh of a critic, after all, I lived in Italy for a few years. The place was packed, so they must be doing something right. Give it a shot, but for me, it didn’t live up to the hype. Oh, BTW, service was slow due to the whole restaurant-pandemic thing, which we didn’t mind because we enjoyed just hanging out with our company, but I’d like to compliment George, our waiter who was great! Thank you for good service despite being slammed.
The place is fancy, very nice. Our server was friendly. The complimentary bread sucked, I might as well had rolls from Bill Miller's BBQ. The butter for the rolls was hard could not even spread on bread. Second strike was that the waitress did not tell us, there are NO FREE soda refills. I should have deducted that from her tip. But did not. I ordered appetizer melanzane parmigiana. The marina sauce on it was very delicious. And main meal was margherita pizza, the thin crispy crust was delightful. I would go back and give it another try.
The food not great. We had a large group and 2 people sent their food back. One was so disgusted with his food that he literally got sick and had to leave with just 2 bites (he thinks something spoiled was put into the lasagna because it tasted moldy). They still tried to charge for both of the dishes that got sent back. Everyone agreed it was not a place we would come back to. Definitely not worth $40 per person.
Right, let me start off by saying this place is really pretty inside! I dined in with my brother and I somewhat had high expectations. Considering that the reviews and the place looked really good and of course being a bit pricey. I ordered a fettuccine and my brother ordered "picture below - forgot the name of the dishes"... anyways, I think I made quick assumptions that the fettuccine would be freshly made 🤔 Now, I'm no expert or anything but I'm not kidding when I say, it tasted like Barilla (no offense) but it definitely tasted like "store-bought-pasta"... BUT on the bright side, the taste of the dishes, were good... can't go wrong with tomato 😅. Mussels were good too! Just a bit disappointed with the fettuccine. THANKS ANYWAYS 😌
This was the first time we've ever been there. I was really excited to see that they had calamari and fried zucchini in the same appetizer. The zucchini was very wet and the breading was coming off. We ordered pasta fagoili and the beans were hard. It was too bad because the flavor of the soup was very good. I ordered the lobster ravioli. The sauce was very good but the lobster was overcooked. My husband ordered the fresh fish roulade and he liked it fine. I tasted it also and it was good. I ordered the tiramisu and that was okay too. I'm not sure if we'll give this place another chance or not. There were some hits and misses. The atmosphere was very nice though. I like how the walls are covered in wine bottles.
Decent, tasty food. Very nice outdoor patio. Understaffed bar and overwhelmed. Leftover food was boxed when drink came to the table. Such potential! Do better management!
We had gone ti this restaurant for my best friends graduation for med school. I would start off by saying the restaurant was not super busy when we walked in and we had a whole room to ourselves. They gave us a limited menu and we placed our orders within the first 30 minutes of being there at 6:30. We ordered all courses at once and the food was decent but service was super slow. There was only on waiter servicing us and he looked super stressed the whole time. We got in at 6:30 and weren't able to leave till like 9:39 after our deserts were served. The food was decent but I'm not sure whether it was worth the amount of time waited. You would just think with a larger party they knew was coming that they would have been able to handle us better.
First time visit for a very large dinner party of about 40. Party room was accommodating. The servers were very polite. I had the Salmon for dinner, it was DELICIOUS. I did not care for the appetizer salad, it was pretty basic. I had the tiramisu for dessert and I didn't like that either. The tiramisu almost tasted like water. I expected it to be really good for a fancy restaurant but it was not.
Went in with high expectations based on the reviews. Caprese salad: The tomatoes were very soft, over ripened. The cheese was still too watery. The salt on it was sprinkled too densely. Ossobuco: Was cooked well (fall off the bone) but lacked flavor. Risotto on it also was on the bland side. Desserts: The Tiramisu, Cherry/Pistachio/Chocolate desert, molten lava cake were very good. Coffee: Coffee was cold so they replaced it was an espresso. Service: Service was very good. Server was attentive
This place was a disappointment. The prices were misaligned with the quality of the food. The fried calamari was okay. I’ve had better for much cheaper. The vegetable ravioli was alright but definitely not worth $25. My boyfriend got the chicken Parmesan with fettuccine Alfredo sauce. The chicken was chewy and cooked incorrectly. The pasta was also chewy and the sauce wasn’t good either. Our server was the only good thing about our experience. However, we will not return for subpar food at high prices.
Notice the pictures I posted was over a year ago. The quality has declined tremendously food portions have been cut to 1/4. I would order the balsamic ribs and much more. They used to give 5 or 6 ribs. When I visited a few weeks ago the price was the same if not more but the gave me 2 charred bones 🙄. The lemon drop martini was watered down. I'm not feeling it anymore. Time to find a new place to unwind. My coworkers and I would gush over this place, we all agreed that this is not it!!! Hope they are able to bring the quality back up because this has been my experience the last few times that we went I do not plan to return.
urinal obviously hasnt been wiped down in a long time. hair and debris on top of it was absolutley disguisting! i wish i had checked the bathroom before eating here. if the bathroom isn't clean, i doubt the kitchen is either.
Sorry to say that this restaurant has really changed…and not for the better . My girlfriend’s cosmo was bitter and had to have the bartender remake it Other drinks were watery . My cucumber martini was fine. The chicken Marsala was a disappointment . Very thin and tough chicken ..nothing special. Little flavor and a small portion for a Mai course . The mussels weren’t the quality they were in the Past . . We went during happy hour on a Friday and we were the only ones on the patio from 4-6:30. This place use to be wonderful but now apparently others know it has really gone downhill as it use to be packed during happy hour .Sad to say it use to be a favorite but I will not return .
We got high expectation from this place because of the reviews but they delivered short! We're a party of 8 with reservation. Since we have a reservation, they do not want to move us to seat outside when there is no people occupying the space yet. It took well over 45 minutes just to get our orders. It took over 20 minutes for someone to get the beer he ordered. It took another hr just to get our food. It took 15 minutes for someone to give me a utensil... The food is not flavorful! The carbonara is absolutely bland. The lamb shank is good but you can barely taste it since the portion is ridiculously small especially for the price for it. The rest of our orders were not flavorful either... some has bigger portion but not something we were motivated to come back for. A huge disappointment. I DO NOT Recommend this place at all!
My recent dinner at this Italian restaurant was a stark contrast to my previous great experience. What a letdown! The meal began poorly with a Caprese salad featuring soggy tomatoes. The main course, ravioli, was served cold despite a piping hot sauce, a puzzling temperature mishap. To top it off, the tiramisu was clearly not fresh and had completely dried out. It's disheartening to see such a decline in quality. I truly hope this was just an off night, but based on this recent visit, I'll be hesitant to return.
Waitresses horrible, the food looks amazing on their website and menu, however it was horrible when it came to us. I had the seafood dish and you can smell the seafood before it hit the table, completely rancid, couldn't believe they served us that, and the drinks weren't much better...will never go again
Tiramisu is horrible. I'm throwing it out!! I think this was made wrong. First .... where is the rum, and espresso soaked anything!!! Very dry. I got this dessert to-go after my meal. It deserves a stand-alone review. DO NOT GET THE TIRAMISU. And the top layer, listed as whipped cream .... the taste is just nasty, and it is .... "thick" is all I know how to describe it. It's certainly not whipped cream. I want my money back .... $9 + tax & tip.
Lights were do bright it hurt our eyes No ambience at all Our server was so bad we thought it must have been his very first night. He had no knowledge of the menu and screwed up almost every part of the meal. Very sad experience for my whole family
Probably the worst Italian food I have ever had. Ordered the seafood pasta. The plate smelled overwhelmingly fishy....like spoiled seafood. 3 of us sent it back for the smell and taste. Replaced it with the lobster ravioli. Had absolutely no flavor. Another person in our party replaced it with the chicken caesar salad. It also was extremely bland. Took forever to get food and drinks. Dirty dishes were left piling up on the table. Very expensive for what tasted like microwaved food.
