Highly recommend W. Rabbit! Food was excellent and the kids are already asking to go back. The face painting, the characters, everyone was awesome and we had the pleasure of having Mr. Rabbit as our server and he made it a very happy and fun environment. Will return!

Service was the best part! Hiccup was our server and the puns were serving. He made it a blast for us. The service really made the whole experience. From the one guy opera singing every time he signed an autograph to singing a man happy birthday while having children smack him with balloons, it was a great experience. Food was great. We loved the salad car! Loved the parades to the bathroom. Definitely a memorable experience.

Our first time here for our group of 8 and it was amazing!! The service was fast, friendly & all of the characters really stayed “in character” I loved it. Out server was ace ventura and he was perfect. We ordered the “Roman Orgy” 😅 for our table and it was delicious and way more than enough for the four adults and four children. We’re from Houston so MTM will DEFINITELY be a dinner time tradition whenever we’re in the area from now on.

I had always wanted to visit. The food was great and well worth the price. Took the fam and we got to sit in the cowboy hut across from sponge bobs pineapple 🍍 hut. Every single character did awesome and the environment was so creative and fun to watch and the interaction was amazing “Raven” was out waitress and she was amazing. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Walking into The Magic Time Machine in San Antonio feels like stepping through a portal into a world where dinner isn’t just served — it’s performed. From the moment you arrive, you’re surrounded by color, quirky décor, and themed rooms that make you want to explore before you even sit down. It’s part restaurant, part interactive theater, and every server is in character from start to finish. Our night was made unforgettable by our server, Loki — yes, the God of Mischief himself. He was hilarious from the very first hello, staying perfectly in character with quick-witted comebacks, playful banter, and just the right amount of mischief to keep us laughing all evening. Loki didn’t just bring food — he delivered a performance. Every interaction felt like a scene in a comedy skit, and it truly made the evening feel special. The food was very good — I’d give it a solid 8 out of 10 — with generous portions and fun presentation that matched the playful atmosphere. And the salad bar? Not just a salad bar — it’s built inside a vintage car, with the hood popped open so you’re literally scooping your salad out of the “engine.” It’s a clever, one-of-a-kind touch, and the fresh greens and toppings made it as tasty as it was memorable. We also had to try their potion drinks, which are just as theatrical as the rest of the experience. Ours came bubbling, fizzing, and smoking from dry ice, and one even changed colors before our eyes. They’re sweet, magical, and perfect for sharing on social media — or just enjoying for the fun of it. Now, I will say that some of the couches and seating do look stained and a bit outdated, and the carpet could definitely use a deep cleaning or replacement. It doesn’t ruin the experience — the atmosphere and entertainment more than make up for it — but a refresh in those areas would take the overall presentation to the next level. This is the kind of spot that works for all ages — kids are wide-eyed with excitement, adults appreciate the humor and nostalgia, and everyone leaves with a story. It’s perfect for birthdays, date nights, group outings, or anytime you want dinner to be more than just a meal. If you go — and you really should — ask for Loki. He’ll keep you laughing, keep the energy high, and make sure your visit is one you’ll be talking about long after the last bite.

Our waiter was Goku. He was very loud and hilarious! All of the food was surprisingly good. The salad car is not to be missed. It’s definitely a great place to go for any type of special night. For our party, we were celebrating 2 birthdays. Definitely check it out.

Last night was our first visit, and the kids loved the place so much that they begged to have dinner there again tonight. It only took a few minutes of interacting with Barbie last night to get the most skeptical member of our party, my 8-year old nephew, to let go and join in the fun. The kids loved the magic potions, all the smoke and theatrics, and the soapy surprise after dessert from Barbie's friend Scientist Barbie. Bartender Barbie did not disappoint us with the Cosmos! Tonight we reserved the Minecraft booth, and Loki was our server. We had asked him to go easy on the kids, but they came ready to RUMBLE tonight and Loki kept them engaged and outraged! (All in GREAT fun!) They got to march behind him to help sing happy birthday to a kid at another table, and caricatures drawn on to-go boxes. Our 7 year old nephew could not stop laughing the entire meal. Both the kids were delighted with every minute at this place. We got a family photo by Bill Nye the Science Guy, and I'll always take an opportunity to get a souvenir photo of the whole group. Across the two dinners, we had the chips and queso, empanadas, herb-smoked chicken, chicken alfredo, burgers, popcorn shrimp, chicken tenders, Oreo sundaes and fudge cake. We found the food to be reasonably priced, with generous portions and great flavor. Magic Time Machine is going to be one of those places that will now be a mandatory stop any time we visit San Antonio. Every member of staff was kind, attentive, and engaging with our entire party. The decorations are so much fun, and you are encouraged to explore the place to take it all in. There's something very special about this place. There's a sense of community here that is sorely lacking in so much of the world these days. A gentleman brought his daughter by to check out the Minecraft room, and we talked about what fun everyone was having. My wife saw a little girl in an Elsa costume, and took an autograph book over to her to sign it and she was just gushing. It is such a blessing to find a place where everyone can just forget the outside world and be silly while sharing a nice meal, no iPads necessary. Our kids even asked to go back tomorrow night, but unfortunately we have to head home tomorrow afternoon. They made core memories in these last two nights that will stick with them forever.

The Magic Time Machine is such a fun and unique experience—my family had an absolute blast! From the moment we walked in, we knew it was going to be something special. Our waitress was Barbie, and she was phenomenal! She kept us laughing the entire time and truly made the night unforgettable. The food was great, too. The kids’ chicken fingers looked and tasted homemade—crispy and flavorful. I had the steak, and it was cooked perfectly. My husband had the chicken Alfredo and gave it a thumbs up. And of course, I couldn’t resist the Barbie margarita—it was delicious and such a fun touch! The atmosphere is wacky, whimsical, and full of surprises. They even have quarter machines and claw games for the kids to enjoy while you wait. If you’re looking for a dinner that’s more than just a meal, come ready to laugh, play, and have a great time at this one-of-a-kind restaurant. Highly recommend!

To preface: you should know what you're getting into here before you show up. The servers are in character and that is literally their whole thing. If you don't enjoy interacting with servers you will not enjoy this place. I went for a birthday celebration, so I went for their sake. The only unfortunate thing about our visit was that the AC broke in our section of the restaurant so it was pretty hot. They were very apologetic about it. Our server was nacho libre, and the guy did a really good job. I've never seen the movie but I could tell the server was putting on a good performance. Chicken tenders are my go to food everywhere, so I ordered them crispy with fries. Honestly, the food wasn't bad at all. I was expecting the tenders to suck and for the chicken to be poor quality, but they were well breaded and pretty thin so they were easy to eat. Whatever sauce they came with on the side was good, it wasn't spicy and helped elevate the dish in my opinion. It was similar to a cane's sauce, but thinner. It wasn't the best chicken tenders I've had, but I was surprised that I enjoyed them. Some people in my party got the Roman Orgy, which is a good deal if you like the food it comes with. The salad bar was a plus, it was just tricky to remember where it is if it's your first time going when you're seated on the other side of the restaurant. TLDR: Exceeded expectations and pretty good food for an entertainment place.

It’s easily one of the most unique restaurants in San Antonio—and absolutely worth a visit. The staff are incredible, fully committed to their roles, and bring the entire place to life with their energy and professionalism. We were lucky enough to have Hiccup as our server, and he definitely didn’t disappoint. Nacho Libre stole the show and had the whole room laughing—definitely the star of the night! I had the smoked chicken, which was okay overall, but the BBQ sauce was outstanding—definitely the highlight of the dish. While the food isn’t the main attraction, the overall experience more than makes up for it. We had a blast and will definitely be back—and once you visit, you’ll probably feel the same way!

It was my son's birthday and first time there. Since his birthday is thanksgiving day we went night before trying to celebrate him. He got so excited because our server was a character from Pokémon. We'll it took FOREVER to get greeted and get our drinks. Then he brought the drinks and spilled a red soda all over my sweater and table and brought me a few bar napkins to clean it myself. He didn't tell us that the salad buffet came with our food or that we could go help ourselves to it. We got our food and it was cold. Not only was he a horrible server but he was so rude. We still didn't complain as it was his birthday. Then we kept seeing all the other tables and servers with birthdays laughing and having a good time. Before we left I went up to one of the girls and said I wouldn't complain but we are about to leave and its his birthday. Cowgirl barbie SAVED the day. If you are management she is awesome. She came and sang happy birthday and made it fun and special for him. If it wasn't for her idk what I would have done.

This is a really cool little spot with a fun vibe, great food, and awesome staff. However, there's an elephant in the room: the place is old and run-down. It's noticeably dusty and dirty, with sticky carpets and debris in every crevice and corner. The paint is faded and peeling. If they invested in a remodel or better upkeep, this could easily be an amazing place!

We just celebrated my son’s 20th and my granddaughter’s 13th birthdays there tonight. We were greeted at our table by a roach…a literal roach who crawled across our table then decided to just sit there before we’d even sat down. Our server, Hiccup (from How to Train Your Dragon), was great and tried his best to take our minds off of it however only minutes later we were visited by a second roach crawling across our table before we’d even ordered our food. Our server saw it too and said something would be done about it. We started to order when my daughter-in-law went to pick up her drink and shrieked finding a third roach crawling up her glass. Then my daughter asked for a high chair and a very dirty high chair was brought to our table. My daughter wiped it down with baby wipes then sat her daughter down…but she didn’t want to be in the high chair so she pulled her right back out. That’s when the fourth roach emerged from the high chair. We contemplated not ordering and just leaving and going somewhere else but with no notice and a party of 20 guests, there was really nowhere else to go. Almost half our party refused to eat there and left which was truly embarrassing for us all. Towards the end, the manager came to our table and offered an apology and that was that. There was no compensation offered of any kind. I give one star to this establishment on behalf of our server who was great. This place holds a lot of memories for us as a family but sadly this would be our very last time at The Magic Time Machine due to the conditions in which we had to eat and celebrate under and especially without offering any sort of compensation at all for the embarrassment we suffered alone on top of us losing our appetites before we even ordered our food. Had it not been for our server staying in character and making us laugh, we wouldn’t have been able to even order. Just be warned, it’s a fun atmosphere…the food is even good…but they are infested with roaches and will not compensate you for having to endure that experience, should it happen to you.

Velma was phenomenal and full of personality. The food on the other hand was atrocious. The steak we ordered medium and was sent out fully gray and cooked well done. The half chicken was dry enough the bbq sauce didnt help amd had zero flavor to it.
