Extremely delicious Mongolian beef and taro milk tea 🤤🤤
We went around 9 pm. Fast service. There was a lot of pick up and drive thru orders so our waiter was stuff helping there.
our experience here started off on the wrong foot the general chicken tasted stale and was so ever breaded and hard i could not chew it, I decided to let the staff know about it and the lady at the front was so nice asked me if i wanted any thing else and I honestly didn't feel like trying anything else i told her the sauce was good and you could tell it was a yummy plate but i just couldn't eat it she went to the back to talk to the cooks and i sat down a little bit later she comes out with 2 pieces of breaded meat 1 used for the sweet and sour and the other but lightly fried, it was so much better it was so fresh and yummy so i told her "oooh this one tasted good" and they made me new general with fresh battered chicken. she told me "we want to make sure our customers have a good experience!" well we did thank you so much!!
Can you say a hidden gem?? I am never disappointed with the service or product! The shrimp fried rice is ALWAYS fresh, and even when they gave me the wrong entree one time it was still delicious. Honestly I’d say my family orders take out ATLEAST once a week from here. You definitely have repeat customers!! Thank you for your time guys! You are appreciated
The food was hot and fresh. The staff was amazing and so welcoming. Me and my husband got the lemon chicken and sweet and sour chicken dinner Deluxe. For $13 isn't bad. A whole Plate plus Drink and Soup.
I've Door Dashed from here twice before and they never disappoint! Recently ordered Extra Spicy Orange Chicken and the Classic Beef and Broccoli, Hot Oil on the side! Soooooo delicious! 4 Stars! Prices are great with the huge portions! They are my Favorite local spot for Chinese!
Have tried many in the city and by far this is the best. Ordered the Lemon Grass Shrimp. The shrimp was prepared correctly (usually over cooked and is rubber like). My husband had chicken and broccoli. He said the chicken was tender and the broccoli was crunchy. I rarely post my comments; however, I was so pleased that I had to share my thoughts about this restaurant.
Dinner portion, Almond chicken and sweet and sour chicken were very fresh, hot and delicious. Great value for the price. Definitely recommend.
Ordered sweet and sour chicken take-out and was told it'd be 10 minutes. I arrived in maybe 5 minutes, paid and was handed my food. Super fast and great service. Food portions are huge! I had three meals from the one order. Chicken was in smaller bite sized pieces, which I like. Food was great. Very impressed and will definitely be coming back.
Despite the confusion due to the name being associated with other similar named restaurants, let me assure you this place, is GOOD!!!!!! The food is always fresh, so much food for the price, Ive NEVER been disappointed coming here. Their hot and sour soup, to me is perfect! I love it!!!! Not to mention the atmosphere is great, the items for sale are awesome! I HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
This is by far my number one favorite restaurant ever! In fact if I have a choice for my last meal it would be here! I've been coming here since I was 18 years old and I'm now 42 years old and the food has been consistent throughout. Staff is wonderful and very accommodating. I personally like everything on the menu but if I were to say the meal I have majority of the time is sesame chicken, can't go wrong with anything they offer.
It was a really cute spot! Food was fantastic. The koi fish and goldfish are huge, super cool to look at. Great to take a date. Nostalgic atmosphere!
Haven’t been to the restaurant so can’t rate service or atmosphere but the food that has been delivered was outstanding and we’ve ordered many times! The chicken fried rice is my favorite. More than one person (or at least me) can finish in one sitting. It has lots of big tender chicken and absolutely stuffed into the container. My other favorite is the General Tso chicken. I usually order the mild. The last time I ordered spicy and it WAS. Mild is definitely spicy enough for me. The beef and broccoli was a little disappointing in ratio of broccoli to beef (wanted more beef) but it was good. The egg rolls are good too. After 10 years ordering from the closest Chinese restaurant, this is our new favorite.
First time trying, it was great! I ordered take out and it was quick and fresh and the food tasted awesome! The dark chick up front working counter was sassy and quick and I didn't like that but the food quickly made up for it! I'll be back for sure.
Been eating here since 2011 and everything is always great. Never disappoints.
Everything is a 10/10 !! The staff are amazing and so kind ! Truly out of this world ! Everyone should get a raise or bonus cause the people they have are amazing and any buddy would be lucky to have them wear their uniform! Food was super yummy and delicious !
This place has been here for many years for a reason, they serve classic American Chinese food that's freshly made at a fair price. I was there for lunch and ordered the Orange chicken. It came with egg drop soup that was a little less eggy and a lighter broth. I liked it very much. My entree came out piping hot with a generous portion of saucy chicken. It was a little heavy on the orange flavor but better than less orange flavor. I liked that it comes with a bit of steamed broccoli, most places skip it. I opted for steam rice and an eggroll which was pretty good. The only server, Mike, was great. He provided fast, friendly, attentive service. Not too many people dine in but it's a comfortable place for someone dining alone as I did. Many people do order from the drive thru which is hard to find for a good Chinese restaurant.
The pad Thai was really good along with the Vietnamese spring rolls and the fried dumplings. 😋 We dined in, but the restaurant has a drive-thru window. I like that for those days you just want to pick up dinner.
Our group tried all 3 soups, and they were very good. Then, the food came out, and it did not disappoint either. The staff is super friendly, too. Check it out!
Delicious food and very friendly service. The lunch specials are large portions. Will definitely go again.
Amazing food and service! The waiters are very good, and the food is fantastic! The food came in under ten minutes. I got the luncheon special Teriyaki Beef, and the sauce was amazing. The place is really beautiful, too. There is a cute little gift shop when you first come in the door, and the seating area is very nice and relaxing. There is a fishtank in the middle of the room and pretty decorations all around. I will come here again!
Honestly I'm a simple man, they have great food for a good price. If you're all about having some crazy atmosphere like 54th Street, this isn't the place for you. They are very down to earth people who serve good food. Would suggest anyone to try them as they are good!
Really solid Chinese (and some Vietnamese) options here! Last two times here we've had Myranda as our server....very fast and friendly!! Our now "go-to" Chinese restaurant! Update: in addition to all the good Chinese food we ordered yesterday, I also tried the spring roll Vietnamese vermicelli bowl…to go. Skip this….it was pretty bad. Noodles were a gooey mess and the only other ingredient was chopped up iceberg lettuce with the rolls.
#1 Chinese food restraunt in San Antonio! I have been coming here for years! I came across this restraunt when I was in college and now I come here frequently with my family. It's a lovely hidden gem if you have never been here before. It is a quiet welcoming restraunt with prestige customer service. Calvin & Jennifer are two of our favorite servers. The food is always perfect and the won ton soup is the best! & the sweet tea is on point! It is nice to be able to go somewhere where you see the same smiling faces and get treated like family. Highly, highly recommend this place if you are looking for great Chinese food at a great price! You won't regret it!
I went to this restaurant on 12/21 while killing time waiting for a movie to start. I was pleasently surprised with how nice it was! The decor was unique and interesting. There's lots of lanterns and Chinese decor to look at. I was sat right next to the fish tank, which was very cool to watch! I got the dinner special teriyaki combo. It came with ragoon and fried rice, though I could've gotten an egg roll. The service was EXTREMELY fast and my waiter was especially friendly and polite! The food came out hot off the grill and tasting delicious. The waiter even thought to ask if I had any allergies to food, which is something I think more restaurants should do. All in all, it was a great experience. I'll definitely be going back.
This place has been going strong for years. The food is consistent, hot and made fresh per order, large portions and at a lovely price. Not to mention their drive thru option is the reason this spot is my favorite.
We order from here all the time my honest opinion food taste way better when you order to go food always nice and hot
Beijing’s food is always fresh and delicious! My favorite is their chicken fried rice. Since we moved out of the area we ordered from a place close to home and you can taste the difference. I miss it being so close but every chance we get we will order from there.
By word of mouth only, we gave this place a try. Truly this restaurant is inspiring in its hospitality and in its genuine attention to flavor profiles- having the best Chinese cuisine we have had in San Antonio! Our server was phenomenal and gave us a great run through of their foods and specials, all were reasonably priced and in different varieties. The atmosphere was pleasant and full of great Chinese memorabilia and even a koi pond outside. Once we got our food, the portion was quite big! The orange chicken will put even the most seasoned restaurants to shame as this was the epitome of citrus and spice! The rangoons large fresh and perfectly cooked, and their sesame shrimp extremely impactful with flavor but not so spicy it detracts from the experience! Their boba fresh and milk teas incredible (matcha lovers will LOVE their matcha tea)! We cannot wait to return with our loved ones and ready to try more of their dishes! Highly recommend 😄
Delicious! My husband and I got a couple of the Chef specials: Orange chicken with rice, broccoli, and subbed egg rolls for Rangoons; and the Sesame Shrimp with the same sides. Great portion size, will definitely come back to try more dishes!
We all ate here last night in celebration of my daughter's 25th birthday and her being a new mommy. The food was absolutely delicious, beautiful and seasoned well. We had the Beef Teriyaki Ramen and the portions were huge. Our waitress Miranda was very sweet, courteous, and professional with a positive attitude. Even though we came in an hour before closing, we really enjoyed it. It was truly a great experience. There is a nice little outside area to eat that's lit up with festive lights also. We really liked the old world style of the restaurant. It had a nice, genuine and down home vibe to it reminding me of my mother with all of the ornate Asian decorations. Wonderful atmosphere and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a more authentic, old school Asian restaurant. Thank you for the awesome customer service Miranda, Mike and staff. You are appreciated. Peace and Many Blessings to you. 🍜🌿❤️☺️
Walked in and was surprised how nicely the interior was decorated. Was seated and ordered ice tea and the seafood delight plate. Staff were friendly and helpful. My dish arrived piping hot and the aroma was enticing. The vegetables were fresh and the seafood mix was wonderful. This plate came with fried rice and an egg roll. Everything on my plate was delicious. I very much enjoyed my dinning experience here.
I always come here when I'm pulling an all-nighter and they always NEVER disappoint with their portions. They always pack my plate FULL with tofu, onions, and bell peppers and it means a lot to me when I'm up late at night at college. I ordered the " DELUXE TOFU WITH BLACK BEAN SAUCE, STEAM RICE, EGG DROP SOUP, CRAB RANGOONS, AND 32OZ COKE ZERO". I will continue coming here even after graduation and for the rest of my life!!! Very sorry for the inaccurate photos, I ate some of the food before taking the picture because I was impatient. It's THAT GOOD!!!
Caveat to this review is I've never dined inside, but let me tell you about how much I love their take out! The sesame chicken is at least second best I've ever had. The General Tso's chicken is also a dish I regard just as highly. All of the plates are an incredible value and are piled high. Shockingly, they even reheat well! You aren't eating here for health, but you will be ready to eat here again on taste alone!
The outer part of the chicken is really tough to the point where spit it out. The sauce is great except for all the chilli seeds there’s too many Maybe put some effort into removing those please everything else has been amazing. And great amount for the price
Myself and friends visited during lunchtime and there was a good crowd and seating available. Service was great and attentive. Lunch specials were very affordable and the portions were great. Our table tried the lemon chicken, sweet-and-sour pork, beef and broccoli, egg drop soup, hot and soup and the eggrolls. We all enjoyed our food as it came out hot, fresh & tasty. Will definitely be returning.
Restaurant was clean and service was great! Food was really good and will definitely be going back again
I stopped in for dinner and had the deluxe teriyaki beef dinner. I chose fried rice and an egg roll. It also came with egg drop soup and a drink. The portions were beyond generous. My spouse and I both had two (very filling) meals from the one dinner. Due to COVID everything is in to-go containers and I would prefer to eat from non-single use dinnerware. Not a huge deal, especially if you utilize their drive thru!! They also deliver through doordash. The rice was a little dry but the beef was excellent. I also really loved the egg roll. Lots of cabbage filling. I didn't care for the soup but my partner loved it so it might just not be my favorite soup. The menu is straightforward and I will probably be back (most likely in the drive thru).
Decent Chinese food, Good Lunch Specials. The lunch specials are really what sets this place apart from other Chinese restaurants in San Antonio. The food is good, I wouldn't call it amazing, but is not bland and has a lot of flavor. Portion sizes are really good and lunch specials come with an eggroll and soup. The prices here for lunch are affordable an service is quick. Perfect for a quick affordable lunch that wont put you over your lunch break. I've only eaten here for dinner once or twice, with equal sized portions, but nothing included with the meal. Prices are a few dollars more per a plate as well, which all combined makes the lunch the best deal here. If your in the area around lunch time this place is definitely worth a try.
I love this spot. I have gone here multiple times for my lunch breaks at work. I get my usual lo mein and fried rice. It is very on point and delicious. I brought my spouse as well because I wanted to share the experience. He got a type of chicken and veggie fried rice. They also have items for sale like chopsticks and trinkets at the register which I think is amazing. I will be bringing my kids here to enjoy as well bringing my kids here as
I loved the authentic vibe of the place along with the decorations. As far as the food goes I ordered a wonton soup 3/5 and the combination rice was a 4/5. They give pretty big shrimp which is not usual for Asian restaurants that serve this dish. I'll like to come back during the day to dine in.
It's apparently an old restaurant, my parents-in-law go there for 30 years, as they claim. It has Chinese styled exterior and interior, outside dining area with pretty koi fish pond. But the tables and seats outside are not being cleaned often enough. To inside area cleanliness I would put 4 stars as well. Menu with Asian smoothies and fruit milk is hidden under the condiment tray, in the middle of the table, and taro smoothie had very weak taste. The food is ok, quiet bland as to my taste, nothing significant or super authentic. My husband's hot and sour soup didn't even smell with white pepper or lily flowers.
Chicken super thin, the breading is as thick or thicker than the chicken. The chicken was super dry, was like breaded chicken JERKY. Good for a quick meal but not at all for quality. Wifes meal was the same looksled like the food u buy frozen and heat up. Nothing made on site. Egg roll was as big as a sharpie marker. Crazy.
I asked for orange chicken with the sauce on the side. I received a plate drenched in sauce. The rice was hard and my jasmine tea was cold. When we requested that they bring me the chicken with the sauce on the side, the young man argued about it. Then, my husband asked another person to bring my food with the sauce on the side. They brought my plate with over cooked white rice. And, the broccoli was half frozen.
Very disappointing experience. Service was very slow and not engaging. The food lacked flavor. I rarely send food back to kitchen, but sent my dish back, and asked for bill to reflect. The manager came to table and was very friendly. I'm vegetarian and menu is limited with items I can choose. I really wanted to like the restaurant, but first experiences are critical, especially on a first visit.
This is my favorite Chinese restaurant, however, today, they dropped the ball. First time ordering the combo Sweet and Sour pork and Lemon Chicken. I asked for extra Sweet and Sour sauce and and noted that the upcharge was ok. The chicken was exceptionally dry and paper thin. To be honest, I'd rather eat nuggets from the Mc place. The pork was good, but not up to their usual standard. My main complaint was the lack of sauces. In what world is 2oz of sauce enough for these dishes? That's what I got, a 2oz container of each. Yes, I asked for my sauce on the side, but I always do, and get a 6-8oz styrofoam container. This was my first disappointment from them. Don't get me wrong, their sauces are all delicious, there just wasn't enough of it.
Food use to be good . But now.it was just ehh.. the moo goo pan was water and tasted funny. But I didnt wanna be that person. But prob won't go back
Updating my review after recent visits. Still a favorite, would be nice to see some of the income go to sprucing up the place. It’s a snap shot of the 90’s. Whichever employee who hung up on me after forcing me to wait 3 minutes while hearing just how disorganized you are at your job. Find a new one. So my service rating of 4 is going to 1 until your employees improve on the simple act of food service. Food is still a 4
The place was not busy at all, two tables including ours, yet service was slow. Though at s looked delicious the taste was average. Except for the lo mein, pretty decent taste. I had the beef and broccoli and it was tastelss. The chicken noodle soup had a curry sauce but it also lacked savory taste. Our waitress service was below average. Checked on us once for drink refills and the came to give us the check. Would I come again? No
After sitting for a while we got served. Waiter only came one time. Although a lot has been done to the design of this place, the quality of the food is a bit lacking IMO. I feel like this place is for a family that wants to feast on a budget. I had the general chicken with steamed rice the rice was mushy, and my friends wanton noodle was dry. I also ordered crab meat rangoon, they were stringy and the sweet and sour sause tasted of lemon or something weird. The only redeaming quality was the sause of the chicken. The edamame was either over cooked or frozen for to long and was yellow in coloration. Again if you don't mind things like that, the price is good for a large family. Not a foodie looking for a new spot.
I called in my order and still had wait almost twenty minutes in drive thru,I ordered sweet n sour pork with egg drop soup.pork were very small pieces and didn't get any chips for my egg drop soup.i don't recommend this place and probably won't come back.
The grilled pork was so sweet that I felt I was eating dessert. They added so much sauce that the rice noodles were swimming in so much sauce. The second plate was lemongrass chicken, that was a very strong taste and was very spicy. The rice was just average and the egg roll was good. The service was good.
I've ordered here before but today the food was bad. They dont discount food nor exchange it for free if returned.Thats their policy according to the waitress. One vermicelli dish was so salty it was disgusting unable to eat any of it. The other lemon chicken was dry and hard, it was like chewing cardboard. My plate was teriyaki chicken was okay, it came with pineapple chunks that had no flavor, which I was confused about since it looked go be canned pineapple pieces. Gave me such bad gasses after I went home that smelled like death. Their cooking oil was dirty cuz everything tasted rancid. IDK if its a different cook or what but very disappointing. Never coming back here after spending $74.00 for 5/6 plates to be bad
waited at drive thru window for over 10mins for 2 meals that included soups, cashier reassured that everything was in the bag. arrived home and soups were missing. asked for refund and restaurant declined to issue refund for the missing items cause they didn’t have the “codes.” in order to have the exact food I paid for I went all the way back and got my order finally after another 10mins of waiting inside. nice inside tho felt like I walked into tokyo or whatever
This place changed hands…awhile back, but since then their food has gone down hill. I don’t eat here often anymore bc I’ve noticed the change. Today I ordered and it’s the worst it’s ever been. The fried rice is nothing like I’ve ever seen-not a veggie in sight let alone eggs of chicken pieces and the breading on the chicken isn’t cooked all the way, plus the flavors completely off from any other American Chinese flavors-but I bit into a piece of chicken with a big grey tumor in it🤮 don’t waste your money here. You won’t be satisfied. It’s not what it used to be
This restaurant has a major identity crisis. Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese AND Thai? I find that usually when an Asian restaurant has this many different types of Asian cuisine to choose from, it’s usually not a good sign… this place was no exception and was just OKAY at best. The “tempura” shrimp was just sweet and sour shrimp, and the “tempura” zucchini had the wrong type of breading and was very soggy. The pad Thai was alright but the meat to noodle ratio was ridiculously off. I had enough meat for one meal and enough noodles for five. Too high a price for such mediocre food. I likely would’ve been more satisfied with just going to the grocery store and getting a frozen dinner. I will not be ordering from here again.
The food was ok, they do give a good amount. Crab Rangoon not so good, egg drop soup but the best. Service was horrible. Not once did our waiter come and check on us, I had to get my husband's drink refill my self. This place could really use a good cleaning very dusty inside
I have eaten there several times before this time food was over fried chicken and pork pork was like eating pop corn told the waitress about it. Looks like they will be out of business soon. With cooks like that won't go back
A very rude woman works there. She acts like she owns the restaurant! She provides terrible customer service!
Absolutely appalling customer service! I requested the man to clean the drink he was about to give me, which was already overflowing with Coke. Instead, he wiped it off using his hands, which had long, grimy black fingernails, and then handed it to me. This is not the level of service I expect after spending $15.37 on a “deluxe” meal. To make matters worse, they don’t even offer contactless payment; instead, they hand you a filthy black book and a pen to sign. Expecting a tip on a takeout order.
Went In with mediocre customer service. Used restroom to find out there was no toilet paper in the stall. i texted my girlfriend who told my waitress (who did her job wonderfully) the situation. five minutes later the manager comes in laughing about it making a joke about why the restrooms weren’t restocked because of a shirt i was wearing. Come back to find out order was missing sides and got excuses. i understand a lack of restock completely but making little jokes instead of an apology seems out of place for the manager.
Went at 8:15 when they close at 9. They made sure to say multiple times that they closed in 45 min. I used to love their eggrolls. They came out room temp and tasted old like they had been made many hours ago. They most definitely were not fresh. My shrimp dish was barely battered and overdone so each shrimp was small from shrinking up. My husband got the sesame chicken which looked great, but the meat inside was weird texture and color. Looked like very cheap quality chicken thighs and wasn't good either. The steamed brocolli that came with both dishes came out ICE COLD and was obviously taken directly from a fridge and plated. Came down with food poisoning a few hours later, I'm guessing from the pork in the eggrolls sitting out for so long already cooked. Won't return unfortunately.
Drive thru fried zucchini. Yikes huge chucks of hot fried breading and uncooked zucchini. Very interesting just tossed them away.
I ordered Chicken and Broccoli through the drive through after work. I drove home 20 miles away went inside to eat and realized I was given beef and Broccoli. I tasted it and it tasted horrible. My daughter asked to try it. She took one bite and said something is wrong with this it tastes horrible. I called the restaurant to let them know of their mistake and Fey Fey promised me a refund. I went back to the restaurant a few days later and the manager on duty said I could only get a refund if I had taken the plate back same day. I explained the situation but he was unwilling to help me. I’m out $14 and I will never order from here again
I ordered general chicken yesterday Friday around 12. I paid 12 something. The damn chicken taste like it has been cooked over and over. It was completely hard. If I had time I would have definitely took it back. I was so hangry, and still is
Ive been coming here for 30 years. I ordered Summer rolls and I’m sure of it as I had a conversation about them the last time I got them. After paying, the guy at the drive through dropped my card out of the check presenter and I had to squeeze out of my car to dig around for it. No apologies given. He passed me off to a lady who didn’t take my order and she presented me Spring rolls, which are fried and I didn’t want. She rudely told me she repeated my order, which she couldn’t have as that guy took my order. I couldn’t eat that.
15.37 for a meal that wasn't deluxe Ordered lemon chicken with fried rice the sauce smelled like fabuloso And the drink was red flash it was nasty how is a fountain drink nasty they don't service the machine I oppose and The lemon pepper chicken was definitely reheated and the rice was A nasty mushy brown I worked as a cook in a Chinese restaurant before they definitely reheated the lemon pepper chicken and judging by the poor quality of the rice they have it pre cooked and sitting ready for order the oil is soaked which makes it greasy and it lacks flavor the hot and sour soup was sitting for a very long time it lost the color I would not recommend this place it needs to pick up
I’ve been eating here for many years but I will never go back ever again. Today I ordered the lemon chicken deluxe lunch special through the drive-through. The cashier was kind of rude. Also when I got home the chicken was like rubber it was very hard to chew. After finishing the meal I felt sick almost instantly. It is now about 10 hours later and I feel worse. I don’t think they have very good cleanliness at this place. I hope I get over this obvious food poisoning. If I don’t they will be hearing from me legally.
I have been ordering to-go for about 1.5 years, but today I was very disappointed with the meal and the customer service. I ordered the marinated grilled pork vermicelli rice noodles and it states on their menu in the description that it comes with lettuce, bean sprouts, cucumber, mint and peanuts. When called and placed my order over the phone, I requested no lettuce (because it's soggy iceberg) and could I substitute for extra bean sprouts. She said yes and that my total was $10.28. When my co-worker went to pickup to-go order, she was told that my total was $11.91 due to the extra bean sprouts. So, I called because when I opened up my container, I saw NO extra bean sprouts and maybe 10 small bean sprouts drowning in the very salty sauce. Wayyy too much sodium, I had to throw it away. Anyway, it's a difference of $1.63 which is not the issue. The issue is that I paid extra for something that wasn't there and their staff tried to justify the extra fee. I wasn't going to argue. They should have offered the extra bean sprouts or credited my card. The customer is always right. I won't be back which is sad because they have really good egg foo young.
Food was horrible. The beef and the veggies taste spoiled. I should have read the reviews before going since I know they previously closed. Some of the beef was cooked chunks of fat. And those aren’t egg rolls. Better off going to Panda and I’m not really a fan but better than this.
I don't understand their new dining room concept. I feel like eating at the mall's Food Court. I would rather order to go and eat at home. FYI, tip is not out of this new concept even without a table service, you have to get your own refill, plastic (bad quality) fork, and condiments. Good luck with this "new proyect" 🤔😏
Oh I hate this place. First off extremely bad attitude in twice in 1 month. Its bad then the food feels reheated and its stale. Last time I come here I thought it was maybe the server at the drive-thru it's just bad service bad food long wait again bad attitude
I have had great meals here before but last nights visit was ridiculous. this is a takeout order. I ordered mango Boba Tea,General Tso Chicken, and Vegetable Lo Mien. My Boba was the wrong flavor. the tapioca pearls had gone stale and we're too hard to chew. it was like a drink with rocks in it. The chicken was unbelievably dry. it wouldn't break down has I tried to chew it just became more stringy. I tried at least 5 pieces of the chicken I was only able do actually eat half a peice. tasted fine but it was just inedible. The lo mien seemed fine but after trying 2 dishes that were clearly too old to served I was hesitant to even try the stir fried vegetables. I ended up throwing everything away. it was such a shame to receive $30 worth of food from a restaurant you want to support and it end up in the trash because I was literally not able to eat it. oh well. the no wait time on a Friday evening for takeout should have bee. a red flag.
They gave me old hard food. I called to speak with the manager and spoke with Giovanni. She refused to give me a refund if I didn’t come back the same day. She also told me in order for me to get a replacement I needed to save the food and bring it back. This is horrible customer service and poor food!!!
Placed an order by phone at 8pm when the restaurant says they do not close until 10. They said the order would be ready in ten minutes. We arrived in that timeframe to pick up the food. It’s not ready which is fine. We did not get our order until 8:55! Which is completely ridiculous. An entire hour for a beef and broccoli plate and an orange chicken plate. We overhear them saying that the kitchen is cleaning up as if the restaurant is about to close or something and assured us our food would be ready soon, we’re losing faith at this point. We ask the “manager” if we could be refunded even partially for the lengthy wait time to which she refuses because we had already paid. We haven given up at this point and just take the food and leave. Upon unboxing the meals, the egg rolls and crab rangoons we ordered were ice cold and even some of the chicken pieces were seemingly not freshly cooked. Terrible restaurant, terrible service, food is bland. Avoid at all costs!
Had not been here in a while, don’t know if it’s the same owners but everything was bad. From the dirty Restaurant, to the bad service and the food was horrible. Fried rice was not fried rice instead some mushy brown rice. I won’t be coming back ever again. The worst $35 ever spend because we couldn’t eat it. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Food tastes off, not very good. Suspect, the place is run down.
After leaving a $4 tip on delivery, I was asked to pay extra for fish sauce. Then when I got home I discovered the marinated pork was uneditable. Way too salty and the vermicelli was covered in a thick and savory brown sauce. They should definitely leave the Vietnamese food to the professionals.
First time eating here and my last! The place looked dirty and questionable. The employees didn’t even acknowledge my presence while waiting to get my order. I asked for ALL WHITE MEAT so they charged me extra. I didn’t mind paying extra but once I received my entree majority of it was all dark meat. I informed them of the issue and they said “we would not get that wrong.” I even offered to show them and they still didn’t believe me. Food was gross, employees rude and can’t get orders right and place did not look clean.
