Love going on Saturday nights for DJ Purple! Great vibes, super friendly crowd, and the best KJ in the bay! The atmosphere in the bar is great; clean and spacious with various groovy seating options. Bar staff and drinks are super cool; I usually rotate through the selection of Mexican lagers.

The Rail Sports Bar & Lounge (formerly known as The Carlos Club) is a great place to be on a Saturday night. Here are a few reasons why: 1) Karaoke 🎤 with DJ Purple - DJ Purple is known around the Bay Area as one of the best KJs in the industry. His shows are electric, fun, and will be sure to hype you up. Songs are uptempo and meant to get you to dance 🕺🏻. 2) Solid drinks and service - They serve great cocktails and have a solid beer selection. Pam is a great, efficient bartender and gives good recommendations. 3) Great location and parking - Located on El Camino Real near the San Carlos Caltrain Station and very close to Laurel St. They have their own parking in back so you don’t have to worry even if street parking is limited on one of the nights. I have yet to try the food so cannot comment on that. Come on over and join in!

Came in here last Friday and the owner, John, was very nice and accommodating. Food is available from Rangoon Ruby which we ordered. Several TV's and one pool table. Although it was a little dead, the few of us that were there had a great time which is what we came there for.

Great bar just reopened and I don't think anyone knows they did! Really great atmosphere and the bar tender was incredibly friendly. Really great beer and shot deals.

Fancy, updated venue on the inside.Tons of flat screen TVs with HD DirecTV. Has a pool table and you can have food delivered from the many excellent restaurants here in downtown San Carlos. It is also across the street from the San Carlos , CalTrain station, which is pretty convenient for SF Giants pre/post game drinking :)

TBH, I don't what to think about this bar. But I don't really go to sports bars either. They have a pool table which is cool, plenty of seating and a cool liquor backdrop. I didn't know what to order and told the bar tender what I liked and he made something for me that was actually really good. We hung out there for a little while and it never got really crowded, but I guess there wasn't a really good game on either. Overall, I'll have to check out this place again. I like the drink I had, but I don't know if I really like the place yet.

There was a lot of people there on a Friday night but there is nothing really to do but drink cocktails.. we went there to play pool because supposedly they had a couple of pool tables before but now they only have one and the bartender said it wasn't level and wouldn't let us play :'-(

Walked in, waited 2 hours for a chance to belt out some good tunes, but realized shortly there after that all the bartenders have a stick up their posterior, all the patrons are too full of themselves, and the atmosphere in general just sucks. I love the outside of this place, they kept their old neon sign and classic architecture, but they filled the place with rude employees who can't tell a single from a double and people who usually won't venture outside of their group to socialize. Stay away, or go when you've already got a few in you I guess.

Closed again? Stopped by at 4 PM. Was closed. Stopped by again at 5:30 during the giants game. Still closed. The owner needs to grow a pair cause you're losing repeat customers. You took an L when you lost the good bartender the first time you closed and you're taking another l when you closed for no reason now.. Push through and stay open consistently for a year or two, then if you can't find success sell the place. Stop taking half measures, because I'm going to stop taking a $30 uber to a bar thats closed.

Liked that the music was good. Reggaes n island musics for the FOB LOL. I give 1 because beer was $7.99 . Very expensive

Seemingly out of business or the hours must be incorrect. Whole place was dark and I tried to come here before 9pm. 🤷‍♂️
