Hosted my SD Networking Events Business Mixer upstairs at 5 O'clock Somewhere Bar in the Margaritaville Hotel. The new remodel was amazing , we had a great space for my 60+ attendees. The food was awesome and our server Becky took great care of us. I highly recommend hosting your events there.
My bartender was Jay and he was exceptional! Great drink recommendations and he even was able to make me a craft c0cktail off the menu! Highly recommend Jay and his drinks to anyone stopping by!
Stopped by for a drink and appetizer. Very quiet little place. It was a bit chilly but they have heaters at every table.
We visited from Texas and had an amazing time at the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar, thanks to Katrina! Her friendly service and great recommendations made our night. Katrina made us feel right at home. Highly recommend!
Noemi was very knowledgeable about the menu. She gave recommendations on what to order and it did not disappoint. We will definitely come back. Thanks Noemi for such great service!!!

Sitting at the bar is great for shade. Great music and shade. They play games on the TVs. There’s a very relaxed, vacation vibe up here. Really like it. Haven’t tried the food but the drinks are great and the prices seem comparable to most hotel drink prices. 14-15 on specialty drinks. Bartenders were chill and nice. Definitely recommend. And if you get tired of it, head downstairs to their restaurant for live music.

The main reason I give it 3-stars is because the food was not great. I expected more and it tasted megh, plus no spicy sauce. The drinks though were good!
The atmosphere is cool but the drinks suck and you can tell they are understaffed on waiters/waitresses.

Shockingly horrendous margaritas at this Margaritaville location. It was almost impressive a national chain named after this very drink could be so terrible. It tasted like old sour mix and hose water that was shaken in a shoe. I can’t stop thinking about this margarita and the fact that it was from a place called Margaritaville. We had two rounds as well just to be sure it wasn’t a bad batch. Nope. Additionally - the salsa tasted like straight up tomato paste. And even more confusing - they didn’t have Landshark? I love Jimmy buffet and may he rest in power but this bar is doing him and the reputation of margaritas DIRTY.

Last night we met with friends to check out Margaritaville’s rooftop bar. We are local San Diego urbanites, and my husband had wanted to see what the hype was about. The first thing we did was sit in a grouping of aiderondack chairs, but we saw no servers. We moved to another, more comfortable grouping of seats, and a server came over to tell us that if you sat in these seats, you had to go order at the bar. She said if we had stayed in the other seats, she could have served us. Ok, fine. Then the band, who had been between songs, began to play some Steely Dan song. SO LOUDLY that we had to shout across the table to be heard. We make our way to the bar, where we ask for a drink menu. We settle on $16 rum drink (Coco something)that was very pretty, but turned out to be about 85% ice. So now I’m feeling like this place is an overrated tourist trap with a meh view, at best. Then a drunk young girl with a winged backpack(it was during ComicCon) comes up to us and starts telling us to get up and dance. She was quite persistent, so the second time she came over, I firmly stated that we were here to relax with friends and to please leave us in peace. She mumbled something about my being mean, but by that time I was completely fed up with this place. As we were leaving, I saw a guy with a blue and gold macaw 🦜 on his shoulder, which made me smile… the ONE bright spot of the evening.

Went in to rooftop Bar, sign says seat yourself so we did. We waited over 15 minutes while we watched the bartenders serve everyone around us and not even acknowledge us. We had spent a lot of money prior to coming and had planned to eat there. No one came to serve us. The bartender had the nerve to say have a good night, ladies, when we walked out. We spent hundreds, if not a thousand dollars, at dinner tonight. They missed out. Would not recommend.
Stayed at the hotel and was excited to check out the poolside bar for drinks. Service was non-existent. We sat at the bar for 15 minutes without being acknowledged and weren't able to get served. Plenty of seats open at the bar too. The live entertainment is a nice touch but not worth bearing the terrible service.
Awesome rooftop bar, but the bartender could not be bothered to make things work for us. Everything at the bar, including Landshark was "unavailable" and he didn't seem to care. Walked out and didn't buy anything. That guy sucked
