Sip is a wonderful establishment. They live and work in Escondido, which means you can't get more local. At any time you can find the owners, Cassandra or Jeremy, hanging out at a table playing cards or behind the bar pouring wine. Every time we've come, there have always been hugs and a glass of wine ready to go. There's no other place in Escondido that can match the quality of service.

We were sold when we called for the dress code and the owner said, "where CLOTHES"! LMAO . We said you're funny, she said I know. She's beautiful, fun and knows her wines and beers. The place has a chill vibe, Black Owned & Operated (gotta support). Inside she sells other Black Owned Wines and beers. She has delicious Charcuterie Boards when you order certain flights. My group really enjoyed ourselves. We said we will make it a Friday Night Thang . As we paid our bill, we told the owner WE ARE TELLING EVERYONE ABOUT HER AND SIP AND SHE IS ABOUT TO BLOW UP AND WE SHE BLOWS UP WE ALL BLOW UP! (Martin Show Phrase). Update - 2023 - popped in a few months ago - not the same place. Vibe, at all. Not sure if it was officially open, as it appeared shuttered couple times we went by during Covid. But then, we saw there were people there this last time, so we popped in...even tho it was kind of dark... seemed maybe like a private gathering.. was not sure what to make of it. NOT welcoming at all. Tried to engage with the owner and it was a struggle. It was open, but maybe a handful of friends hanging out. Changed my mind after that. Not sure what was up but would not go back. Disappointed. Really wanted to see them succeed. Not enough wineries in the Grand Ave area. I know she is an icon for wine makers but did not feel welcome at all, this time around. *Loved this place too! Great wine, ambience, people.. and music! Just don't go enough.
