Easily one of the best burgers in SD. The Wagyu blend is insane — super flavorful and melts in your mouth. Fries were crispy, and the brownie shake was next level. Chill vibe, great service, and you can tell they care about quality. 100% coming back.

My boyfriend and I had never been here. We were seeing Turnstile at Petco Park but wanted a drink and some grub before hand. Nico was our bartender and I could not have been happier with the speed of service and attention to detail that he provided As a fellow bartender, I highly recommend this spot for anyone wanting a killer atmosphere and amazing guest service .

Mikey pulls out the stash that Nico has for his best regulars. YALL NEED TO HAVE THAT DRINK ON THE MENU. Nico is a MAD SCIENTIST and needs to be celebrated.

I stopped by Swagyu Burger and honestly—this place hits. I ordered the 1/4 lb smash burger and it was everything you want from a great burger: super flavorful, perfectly smashed, and cooked just right. You can really taste the quality in every bite. The fries deserve their own shoutout—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and surprisingly filling without being heavy. Absolute perfection. Big bonus points to my waitress, Val, who was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Between the food and the service, this spot is a total win. I’ll definitely be back for another round. Highly recommend if you’re in East Village and craving a legit burger 🍟🔥

I had an incredible lunch at Swagyu Burger East Village and I can't recommend it enough. This spot truly delivers on flavor and presentation. I opted for the El Swagador Burger, and it was exceptional. The flavor profile was rich and satisfying, and I was equally impressed with the presentation—it looked as good as it tasted. The real show-stopper, though, were the sweet potato waffle fries. They were perfectly cooked and had a fantastic texture. They paired beautifully with the house BBQ sauce, creating a sweet and savory combination that was highly addictive. Seriously, if you go, do not skip these! Beyond the exceptional food, the service was truly splendid. We were a large group of over 16 people, and the staff handled our table with incredible grace, going out of their way to take care of us. It was a five-star experience from the kitchen to the customer service. From the great food to the visual appeal of the dishes, Swagyu Burger is a must-try. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

It’s great before Padres games but tonight was just meeting up with friends for chill drinks and dinner and it never disappoints. Our bartender Chrystal was awesome and funny. This will be a regular stop for me now. This place has Swag!!

Great choice. We sat at the bar, service was amazing, Krystal and Mike took care of us. Very friendly and super speedy. We will 100% be back just for them. Not to mention the food which was to die for, I’m the top 3 burgers I’ve ever had.

We visited Swagyu in San Diego as a big family group and had such a great experience! The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating, making sure we were comfortable and well taken care of the entire time. We ordered burgers, fries, and shakes—and everything was delicious! My favorite was the OG burger—so flavorful and cooked perfectly. But honestly, the fries stole the show—crispy, seasoned just right, and absolutely addictive! Great spot for a casual family outing with top-notch food and service. We’ll definitely be back!

The owner saw us looking at the menu outside and recommended their shoestring tallow fries and they did not disappoint. Amazing fries, amazing burgers. The nicest owner (made my kids feel welcome and even though they didn’t have a kids menu yet, he made sure they had food they would love). Milkshakes were incredible too. Everything hit the spot! Val, the hostess was also amazing. Couldn’t have had a better experience!

Were greeted by a friendly host but we bypassed her and sat at the bar. The place reminded me of an old steak house but modern they have red and black decor with gold accents and a cool wine room. You can’t miss a score on any game since there’s a tv on every wall and a huge one on the outside patio.They offer a variety of alcohol from mid to high end liquor it’s a decent selection with about 24 taps and some bottle beers. We ordered a Michelada it was average at best he added a bit to much tomato juice. We ordered a OG swagu and a side of onion rings the burger looked amazing the taste melt in your mouth the burger was cooked to perfection I personally could have done without the sauce but it was good. The onion rings were over cooked but seasoned well. The prices are reasonable and I definitely will be back to try other items. I recommend it if you wanna watch a game or have dinner or just grab a drink. If you sit at the bar ask for Nico

Food was good overall. I got a burger patty melt that, after looking at the pics, doesn't look very appealing...it was good though! We also got the wings. Really tasty but maybe a couple more minutes frying/cooking would be better. They were a bit "boing-y". The French fries and onion rings were great. It felt like they were pretty understaffed for the day of FanFest but they were extremely courteous and thankful for our patience. The outdoor seating was amazing in such a nice day.

So I offered it to my father, who was extremely pleased with the sandwich. I genuinely wanted to enjoy it but instead, my father had a great lunch. This isn't about getting something in return, it's about how truly DISAPPOINTED I am. As a matter of fact, I even tipped the lady who took my order. If anyone reads this, understand I spoke highly about the restaurant up until today. So you make your decision. For me?, I think twice about ordering again. Thanks for letting me share......

I requested a change of item in my order and server Eugine refused to accommodate a change of food item. so I was forced to buy both items. I hope they can make improvements in the future. The place was empty despite a concert at Petco Park. Food is high price low quality. I hope management pays more attention to customer service. 👎🏾
