We want on Sunday and food was excellent (spicy burger) and service was great; we had kids with us and did not feel uncomfortable.

I stopped here for what was described online as the best happy hour in san diego. It did not disappoint. Half price beers..deals on food.i got the buffalo garlic wings.they were fantastic. Great location in the gaslamp district. Great service.

Well for the 3rd day in a row, I find myself here at Taste and Thirst. Like Toby Kieth says, "I love this bar"! The drinks are 50% off during happy hours. The wings are delicious. What I love most about this bar is the exceptional service. Bartender Stephany is a perfectionist! She provides excellent service and won't give you a drink if it isn't made right. Amazing! Would recommend this bar to all. ESPECIALLY during happy hour!

Happy hour is amazing because its 7 days a week 3pm to 8pm! Staff is super nice. Chicharrones are a must order!

We came here looking for a place to watch the Falcons play and for brunch. There are many TVs around the entire bar to watch multiple games. The server gladly put it on for us. The pancakes are amazing and service is great. Prices are very reasonable for 2 people. Only about $25 spent(before drinks). They have $5 mimosas. Also the pancakes were great and big

My close friend Sticky Rich recommended this place and I’m grateful that he did! My girl and I live down the street and needed a safe place to chill while we did LAUNDRY at the 4th Avenue Laundromat across the street. Great place to chill. Has a full bar on the other side; that’s for another review. Wing s were FIRE 🔥🐓. Lemon Pepper Fries we’re even better. Most of all, Taste and Thirst had PRIME LOCATION IN GASLAMP and location is everything. 🥂

Cute sports dive bar. Great prices in the heart of Gas Lamp District. Hidden jewel. Sweet bartender Levi was awesome. Good bar food served usual 12-1am weekends and varies on weekdays. Good sound system with good music. Clean. 2 separate rooms.

We just stopped in for happy hour. Our server was nice and the lemon pepper fries were good. I got the hawaiian mule and it was delicious! Not super kid friendly and most of the tables are high-tops

I really enjoyed T&T! The carne asada fries were the star of the show for us. Fire bar food options, I appreciated the menu and prices. The only complaint I have is it was so loud that it was very difficult to hold conversation easily. The service was however, exceptional. I will for sure return, but just know you’ll have to get really close towards someone’s ear and shout/repeat things over and over again.

Great little bar. The wings were really good, especially the honey bbq sauce. It was pretty hot in there when we visited. They need more air flow and this place would be perfect!

Decided to try this place because it's near the Balboa theatre. It's open seating, find a table and sit. lol We were greeted with menus quickly, and our food came out super fast! The waitress was friendly. It was Happy hour (3-8), so half off all drinks and a few appetizer specials. The foods did come out at different time, but that was kind of fun. It paced us. lol It looked like everyone that worked there helped everyone else out, we had different people check in on us, drop off food, or pick up empty plates. Super impressive, except then we didn't know who to tip out haha The food itself was decent. Nothing amazing, but not terrible. I'll come back again for happy hour to see if they have any thing with more flavor lol

It was a decent place. Food was ok bar food. Drinks were quick. But nothing outstanding and nothing bad. Great place to chill.

I started a tab at the bar, sat at the bar and my wife and I both only had three drinks on happy hour so it was easy to keep our running total. When I asked for my bill the bartender (Laura) presented me with a bill that was $8 higher and when I confronted her she told me they have a mandatory 20% tip policy. On my bill it has three suggested tip amounts! I asked for my receipt and didn't tip because of this obvious scam she was running. I looked at my credit card statement today and there was a tip added on that didn't amount to 20% and another charge pending. I was a bartender years ago and I know a hustle when I see one. These girls are outright robbing people blind. I have receipts to prove it and have contacted my credit card company to dispute the charges. If you visit this establishment be sure to watch your bill very closely. I hope the management will act on this and remove these girls from their position. Its a shame for these girls to risk such a good gig for a couple extra bucks! I visited this place a few years ago and had a great experience, sad to see this happening!

I’m really disappointed with my experience at taste of thirst in San Diego. As a long-time customer, I’ve spent a lot of money here, but yesterday was my last visit. I was treated poorly by a bartender named Stephnie. I was simply drinking water and charging my phone while deciding what to order, and she embarrassed me for not ordering right away. It felt like I was being judged for not buying something immediately, which was really frustrating. Some of the bartenders have been nice, but others have given me side-eye and made me feel unwelcome. I shouldn’t have to feel uncomfortable in a place I used to enjoy. I won’t be coming back.
